‘Well-Known Prime Minister’ Beat and Raped Late Epstein Victim Virginia Giuffre, According to Memoir

 

Giuffre did not name her attacker in the book, but she did in many judicial filings.

 

Ahead of the publication next week, Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre’s memoir is making headlines as excerpts of the book are being made public.

 

Besides the first salvo of revelations about disgraced British Prince Andrew, who surrendered his Royal titles including Duke of Yorn, a new explosive revelation sheds light on the Epstein trafficking ring.

 

Giuffre writes that she was ‘bloodied, beaten and raped’ by a ‘well-known prime minister’ in a series of brutal encounters.

 

The New York Post reported:

 

“In her posthumous memoir ‘Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice’, Giuffre recalled begging Epstein to step in after the unnamed politician forced her to beg for her life — but the pedophile coldly told her it was simply part of her job.

 

‘After the attack, I couldn’t stay a fool. Having been treated so brutally and then seeing Epstein’s callous reaction to how terrorized I felt, I had to accept that Epstein meted out praise merely as a manipulation to keep me subservient’, Giuffre wrote, according to an excerpt shared with The Post.”

 

But who did she accuse?

 

In her book, Giuffre reportedly refers to her alleged rapist simply as the ‘Prime Minister’, saying she was afraid he would ‘seek to hurt her’ if she printed his name.

 

“In the past, however, she pointed to Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Barak in court filings as one of the many elites who had raped her, a claim he has repeatedly denied.”

Giuffre wrote about the meeting the vicious man on Little St. James, on the US Virgin Islands, in 2002.

 

“’He repeatedly choked me until I lost consciousness and took pleasure in seeing me in fear for my life. Horrifically, the Prime Minister laughed when he hurt me and got more aroused when I begged him to stop. I emerged from the cabana bleeding from my mouth, vagina, and anus. For days, it hurt to breathe and to swallow’, Giuffre wrote.”

 

She sought help from Epstein in vain.

 

“’I got down on my knees and pleaded with him. I don’t know if Epstein feared the man or if he owed him a favor, but he wouldn’t make any promises, saying coldly of the politician’s brutality, ‘You’ll get that sometimes’,’ she continued.”

You know, I noticed a lot of parallels in Revelations when I went through it. Some that even startled me how close they were. Like, is it playing out for real, though with little differences that still align, as stated in the Book, or is the deep state using that chapter as their manifesto to force something? Sometimes it's an Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole when I spend too much time thinking on it.

Nearly all of Donbass ‘already taken by Russia’ – Trump

US President Donald Trump has said Russia and Ukraine should freeze the current conflict front line in Donbass, noting that Moscow controls nearly all of the region anyway.

Trump made the remark after speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone on Thursday and meeting with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky the next day at the White House.

 

“We think what they should do is just stop at the lines where they are. The rest is very tough to negotiate,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday evening.

“They should stop right now at the battle lines, go home, stop killing people, and be done,” he added.

Asked about Donbass, Trump said, “Let it be cut the way it is. I think 78% of the land is already taken by Russia. You leave it the way it is right now. They can negotiate something later on.”

 

In 2014, the Donbass regions of Donetsk and Lugansk declared independence and voted to break away from Ukraine following the Western-backed coup in Kiev earlier that year.

Under the Minsk Agreements, Kiev was bound to protect the status of Russian language and grant both regions more autonomy.

Instead it backed an ethnic war in Donbass that, according to the International Crisis Group, left 14,000 people dead in eight years.

 

In September 2022, both regions held referendums to join Russia, which Kiev refuses to recognize.

he chief of Russia’s General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, said in August that Ukrainian troops held around 20% of the Donetsk People’s Republic and less than 1% of the Lugansk People’s Republic.

 

Putin has said that for a ceasefire to work, Ukrainian forces must withdraw from all of Donbass. He also listed recognition of Russia’s new borders as one of the conditions for a lasting peace.

Zelensky has backed Trump’s call for an immediate ceasefire but refused to hand over any “additional” territory to Russia.

Zelensky rejects Trump-backed territory concession plan

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has ruled out any territorial concessions to Russia, rejecting what the media has described as a compromise proposal backed by US President Donald Trump.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, Zelensky reiterated his position, saying Ukrainian troops “will not withdraw from Donbass – period.”

 

He repeated his claim on the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, former Ukrainian territories that voted to join Russia in 2022.

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently asserted that Moscow’s troops “are consistently moving forward along virtually the entire front line” despite all of NATO backing Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump has denied reports that he pressured Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky to surrender the entire Donbass region to Russia, saying instead that hostilities should be frozen along the current front lines.

Donetsk and Lugansk officially joined Russia in 2022 and Moscow has insisted Kiev withdraw its forces from these territories as part of any settlement.

 

Trump and Zelensky met at the White House last week to discuss the Ukraine conflict as Kiev had sought to obtain long-range Tomahawk missiles from the US. Despite failing to secure the weapons, Zelensky described the talks as “good.”

Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the meeting, that the session had allegedly devolved into a “shouting match,” with Trump warning Zelensky that Russia could “destroy” Ukraine if it wanted to.

He also reportedly tossed aside battlefield maps, and urged the Ukrainian leader to rescind claims to Donbass.

 

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Trump rejected that account. “We never discussed that,” he insisted when asked if he had pressed Zelensky to accept Putin’s terms.

“We think that what they should do is just stop at the lines where they are,” Trump explained, calling on both sides to “stop right now at the battle lines. Go home, stop killing people and be done.”

He also said that “78% of the land is already taken by Russia” in Donbass and suggested they “leave it the way it is right now” pending later talks.

 

Zelensky has ruled out any territorial concessions to Russia.

 

In August, Russia’s Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov said Ukrainian troops held around 20% of the Donetsk People’s Republic and less than 1% of the Lugansk People’s Republic.

Moscow has said any ceasefire would require Kiev’s withdrawal from all Russian territories and for Western countries to end military support to Ukraine.

Russian officials have also voiced skepticism about a truce, saying Kiev would use it to rearm.

 

Putin has called for Kiev to recognize Russia’s borders, renounce NATO membership, and commit to neutrality.

Ukraine won’t win the war with Russia – Trump

US President Donald Trump does not believe Ukraine can win its war with Russia. Speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, Trump said “They could still win it. I don’t think they will, but they could still win it,” when asked to clarify his position on the conflict.

 

”I said they could win. Anything could happen. You know, war is a very strange thing. A lot of bad things happen. A lot of good things happen,” he said.

 

When asked about alleged Russian strikes on civilian areas in Ukraine, he replied that most of those killed were soldiers. Trump also claimed that around 5,000 to 7,000 servicemen on both sides die every week in the conflict.

 

Trump said last month that Ukraine might be able to regain all territory it has lost to Russia over the course of the three-year war.

 

Following a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week, Trump again insisted that Ukraine is bound to lose some of its “property” to Russia in the aftermath of the enduring conflict.

 

While Kiev has repeatedly ruled out territorial concessions, Moscow has listed the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the new Russian regions among the key issues to be resolved in order to establish a lasting peace.

 

Since taking office, Trump has abandoned the Biden administration’s approach of maintaining diplomatic distance from Moscow. In August, Trump met with Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, and last week the two leaders announced that they are preparing for another meeting in Budapest.

 

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has expressed readiness to facilitate the summit.

Major Russian gas plant forced to suspend gas intake following Ukrainian drone attack

Russia's Orenburg gas processing plant was forced to halt gas intake from Kazakhstan on Oct. 19 following a Ukrainian drone attack on the facility, Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry announced.

The plant, which is located in the southwestern Orenburg Oblast and is the largest of its kind in the world, was targeted in a drone strike, Ukraine's military said earlier in the day.

 

Regional Governor Yevgeny Solntsev reported that a fire had broken out within a workshop of the plant, causing damage to the Gazprom-owned facility.

The plant has the capacity to process upwards of 45 billion cubic metres of gas per year.

The Kyiv Independent cannot verify claims made by Russian officials.

 

No timeline was provided for a resumption of the plant's operations immediately following the attack.

The news comes as Kyiv continues to escalate its campaign against Russian oil and gas infrastructure, a key source of Moscow's revenues helping to fuel its all-out invasion of Ukraine.

 

While Ukraine's military has previously target energy facilities in Orenburg Oblast — including earlier this month when it attacked the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the region — the strikes on the gas plant appear to mark the first time that the facility was targeted.

As Ukraine intensifies attacks on Russian energy infrastructure, the Russian economy has continued to suffer. Earlier this month, Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service was asked to impose maximum prices at gas stations as fuel shortages worsen across the country.

 

Russian oil product exports dropped by 17.1% in September compared to August, totaling 7.58 million tons, due to ongoing Ukrainian drone attacks, according to Reuters.

Russia regularly targets Ukrainian gas infrastructure and has intensified its attacks on Ukrainian cities ahead of the anticipated harsh winter.

The cell, called ‘Pure Blood’, was set up in 2022 by Mikhail Balashov, who recruited at least 11 people with “national-socialist and racist views.”

 

“Additionally, on the order of unidentified individuals, Balashov and the cell’s other member, Egor Savelyev, agreed to kill journalist Margarita Simonyan for a cash reward of $50,000,” the statement read.

 

They gathered data on the RT editor-in-chief’s whereabouts and obtained firearms, but were detained by officers from Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) before being able to carry out the murder, it added.

 

Balashov and Savelyev have been charged with illegal possession of weapons and preparation for murder. Together with other members of the cell, they are also accused of creating a terrorist group, hooliganism, and inciting hatred, the agency said.

 

Earlier reports suggested the hit on Simonyan had been ordered by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), which in 2023 accused her of calling for “mass killings of Ukrainian children,” but failed to provide any proof to back the claim.

 

The RT editor-in-chief said at the time that the false accusations were an attempt by Ukraine to make a possible hit on her “appear more palatable.”

October 19, 2025 (EL GENEINA, Saraf Omra) – At least seven civilians were killed and others injured in an airstrike on a market in North Darfur on Sunday, while army drones attacked at least two sites in West Darfur’s capital, El Geneina, including an RSF-led administration building, eyewitnesses said.

The attack on El Geneina, under RSF control since the war’s early months, comes a day after an RSF commander, Colonel Musa Hamed Ambelo, announced plans to attack the border localities of Karnoi, Um Baru, and El Tina.

 

Local sources in Saraf Omra, North Darfur, told Sudan Tribune that a drone strike on the city’s main market killed at least seven civilians and injured six others.

The sources said the bombing also hit a fuel station and the industrial area, destroying several RSF combat vehicles and motorcycles.

 

The RSF has been mobilizing fighters in Saraf Omra for planned attacks on army-controlled areas, including Wadi Seira, Abu Gamra, and Karnoi, according to reports from the area.

In El Geneina, a Sudanese army drone struck the civil administration headquarters during a security meeting between RSF leaders and the head of the administration, al-Tijani Karshom, military sources and eyewitnesses said.

 

Eyewitnesses said the drone strikes also targeted an RSF ammunition depot, causing large explosions and thick plumes of smoke.

The latest attacks follow a violent RSF assault on the North Darfur town of Abu Gamra on October 15, which forced many civilians to flee to Chad.

A joint force of the army and allied groups later retook the town after heavy fighting.

These images, analyzed by The War Zone website, revealed a wingspan estimated at approximately 42 meters (137 feet), placing it in a rare class for stealthy uncrewed aircraft.

 

A recent video clip has provided the first visual confirmation of the GJ-X in flight.

The footage shows the drone's underside featuring a counter-shaded paint scheme, designed to break up its shape and reduce visibility from below.

This camouflage technique is intended to make the aircraft harder to identify at altitude and could be a deliberate design choice to enhance its stealth capabilities.

 

The exact role of the GJ-X remains speculative.

The UK military will be authorised to shoot down mystery drones over military bases in future, following a spate of drone incursions to European states that have seen airports shut down and property damage caused.

Unidentified drones that get too close to military bases will be liable for destruction in future, the British Minister of Defence John Healey will tell the lord mayor’s defence and security lecture in the City of London, per the soft launch of the speech by his department.

 

It is already possible for the military to use non-kinetic means, such as jamming radio signals, to misdirect or disable mystery drones.

But the deployment of force could be conceivably necessary in cases where a drone is more sophisticated and hardened against interference, or if it presents a clear and present threat.

 

Yet using live weapons of war over a densely packed country like the United Kingdom comes with very real risk.

Quite apart from the danger of falling wreckage from destroyed drones, the remains of potent anti-air missiles falling back down to ground is also potentially lethal, as has been seen time and time again in Ukraine.

Incoming flights halted at Palma airport over drone sighting

Flights were forced to divert away from Palma airport after a reported drone sighting at the popular Mallorcan holiday destination.

Flights were temporarily disrupted on Sunday evening, 19 October, at the main aviation hub for the Balearic island.

 

“The sighting of a drone at Palma de Mallorca Airport has forced a temporary halt to operations for safety reasons,” Spanish air navigation manager Enaire posted on X on Sunday evening, just after 7.20pm CEST.

In a statement to The Independent, Enaire said that several pilots reported the sighting of a drone in an area near the two runways at Palma de Mallorca Airport.

 

It added that the protocol for such cases is to halt operations for safety reasons while the area is inspected by security forces.

Flight tracking data from Flightradar showed eight diversions between 7pm and 7.30pm CEST, including two Ryanair flights that were diverted to Ibiza, while other flights landed in Barcelona and Menorca.

 

Some flights managed to arrive in Palma but encountered large delays, such as a Ryanair flight from Edinburgh, which landed after 30 minutes of circling the airport.

Departures from Palma airport were significantly delayed from 6.40pm onwards, causing a knock-on effect throughout the evening. One Vueling flight to Seville was also cancelled.

By Monday morning, the airport appeared to have recovered from the disruption.

 

The Spanish airport group, Aena, said in a statement on Monday: “Yesterday evening, Palma de Mallorca Airport had to temporarily suspend incoming flight operations for 35 minutes as a precaution after a drone was detected in the vicinity.

“During that time, eight flights had to be diverted. Once the necessary safety checks were completed, the airport resumed normal operations.”

 

After a string of drone-related disruptions at other Spanish airports, Aena has published a statement warning those who own drones about safety regulations near planes.

“The use of unauthorised and improperly coordinated drones in the vicinity of airport facilities poses a very serious risk to aircraft operations,” Aena said.

“Drone operations are not permitted within 8km of airports, it added. “Irresponsible use of drones in airports can cost lives and result in fines of up to €225k (£195k).”

 

The incident comes days after flights to Fuerteventura were temporarily grounded after a drone flew too close to the airport.

The delay affected around 600 passengers passing through the airport on the morning of Tuesday, 14 October.

The Spanish police force Guardia Civil said that operations at the airport were halted for over an hour, between 7am and 8.10am, after airport staff reportedly spotted a drone flying less than one kilometre from the runway.

 

Dozens of flights were also cancelled or diverted at Munich Airport earlier this month as a result of a reported drone sighting, leaving almost 3,000 passengers stranded.

After reopening, the airport had to shut down for the second time in 24 hours due to another suspected sighting, impacting a further 6,500 passengers.

The Independent has contacted Aena for comment.

A major outage of Amazon Web Services servers affecting multiple websites Monday morning prompted immediate calls for Europe to boost its tech sovereignty.

 

Slack, Snapchat, Signal and Perplexity were among the affected sites. Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers cloud servers that allow these services and millions of other websites and platforms to run.

 

Brussels is in the midst of a debate on how to achieve digital sovereignty, and what that means exactly, with cloud services at the center of the conversation. EU leaders are expected to take a position during a high-level summit meeting later this week.

 

“Today’s outage shows how concentrated power makes the internet fragile and this lack of resilience hits our economies as a result,” technologist Robin Berjon said in an email. Berjon co-founded the Eurostack project — an initiative campaigning to make Europe self-reliant in digital services.

 

“Europe’s dependency on monopoly cloud companies like Amazon is a security vulnerability and an economic threat we can’t ignore,” Cori Crider, executive director of the Future of Technology Institute, said in an email.

 

According to AWS's health dashboard, which shows a "running log of AWS service interruptions for the past 12 months," the outage originated with servers in North America and specifically Virginia.

 

That prompted reaction including from Ulrike Franke, senior fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations: “My robot vacuum cleaner no longer works and can someone explain why a robot in Paris is linked to U.S. East? Talk about European digital sovereignty…” she posted on Bluesky.

 

“These disruptions are not just technical issues, they’re democratic failures,” said Corinne Cath-Speth, head of digital at civil society group Article 19. “When a single provider goes dark, critical services go offline with it — media outlets become inaccessible, secure communication apps like Signal stop functioning, and the infrastructure that serves our digital society crumbles.”

 

“We urgently need diversification in cloud computing,” she added.

Baja California Officials Say Drug Cartel Behind Explosive Drone Attack on Police Station

Law enforcement and government officials in northern Mexico continue to be targeted by drug cartels, which continue to retaliate as the government intensifies its crackdown on organized crime.

The border city of Tijuana was the latest to be impacted, when a police station was attacked by drones carrying explosive devices.

 

Days after the incident, Baja California Attorney General María Elena Andrade Ramírez confirmed that a cartel was behind the attack, which specifically targeted the station's anti-kidnapping unit.

Although authorities had not yet identified the organization responsible, Andrade Ramírez said the motive was evident.

"It was an attack directly on the patio of our installation," she said. "As a way to ease the public's mind, this was not an attempt on the residents, and we don't believe it has anything to do with our proximity to the border," Andrade Ramírez said, as reported by Border Report.

 

As noted by The Latin Times three drones equipped with explosives, containing nails and pieces of metal, targeted the facility last week and damaged several police vehicles parked outside. No injuries were reported.

Andrade Ramírez announced the incident was being investigated as an act of terrorism. She also clarified that the objects used were not Molotov cocktails, despite earlier reports from local media.

"It was not an incendiary device. The bottles were set off," she said.

 

She denied reports that shots had been fired at drones flying in the area shortly after the attack and refrained from attributing the incident to any specific cartel or organized crime group.

"We will continue to carry out our objective and follow all leads," she said.

 

Authorities believe the drone attack may be connected to a separate incident that occurred last month in Ensenada, about 70 miles south of Tijuana.

In that case, the offices of the anti-car-theft and anti-kidnapping units were vandalized, and several police vehicles were set on fire.

 

The recent attacks in Baja California, particularly in Tijuana, have also raised alarms across the border.

Following the drone incident, the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana advised American citizens to avoid the area and to keep friends and relatives informed of their location and safety.

Andrade Ramírez said seven people had been arrested in connection with the arson case in Ensenada.

 

In recent months, more and more reports have surfaced of criminal organizations using advanced drone technology for surveillance and, in some cases, to carry out attacks against law enforcement and rival groups.

Earlier this year, a former operative for the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) said in an interview that the group modifies agricultural drones to drop explosives on rival factions.

 

Similarly, U.S. officials have warned about the growing number of drone sightings involving criminal groups.

Steven Willoughby, deputy director of the Department of Homeland Security's counter-drone program, told a U.S. Senate committee last month that cartel-operated drones conducted more than 27,000 flights within 500 meters of the southern border during the last six months of 2024.

"It's just a matter of time until Americans or law enforcement agents are targeted," Willoughby said, adding that cartel drones have been linked to more than 1,500 arrests along the southwest border.

 

Some groups, including La Mayiza, a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, have reportedly obtained military-grade drone-jamming equipment. Others have used drones armed with explosives to displace entire communities in northern Mexico.

A recent report by The Telegraph revealed that, as drones become an increasingly important tool for criminal organizations, cartel members from Mexico and Colombia are joining foreign fighter groups in Ukraine to enhance their drone warfare skills.

 

According to the report, these individuals are enlisting in Ukraine's International Legion to learn how to operate first-person view kamikaze drones. The devices provide a live video feed, allowing pilots to guide explosive-laden aircraft directly to their targets.

Sources cited in the report said cartel operatives are exploiting Ukraine's limited ability to vet foreign recruits.

Trump Says Gaza Ceasefire Holding Despite Hamas Attacks, IDF Soldier Deaths

President Trump insists the Gaza ceasefire between Hamas and Israel is still holding, despite a Hamas attack this weekend. However, some belleive the plan could be in danger of falling apart.

The Israel Defense Forces announced they had resumed the ceasefire on Sunday evening after a Hamas attack killed two IDF soldiers and wounded three more in the southern Gaza Strip. Israel retaliated with dozens of strikes against Hamas terror targets.

The president said on Fox News Sunday that there isn't a timeline to disarm Hamas.

 

"Not a timeline, not a hard line, but we're going to see how it all works out," Trump stated. "They've lived there for a long time. They're very violent.

You understand, you've been covering it for a very long time, but we're gonna find out. "So it's not a hot timeline, but it's a line in my own mind. And at a certain point, if they don't do what they're supposed to do, then we'll have to do it for them."

Trump Envoy Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner are in Israel seeking to preserve the deal.

 

Since the ceasefire agreement was implemented, Hamas leaders have openly stated they will not disarm and that they want to be part of post-war Gaza.

The Trump plan directs Hamas to disarm and forbids the terror group from ruling any part of the Gaza Strip.

 

After the ceasefire began, Hamas enforced its rule on the streets by executing its rivals, extorting local businessmen, and openly displaying its arms.

Hillel Neuer, director of U.N. Watch, tells CBN News the world has been silent on Hamas's vigilante justice.

 

“I put up a video a few days ago on social media, and it said, 'Here's the reaction of the Human Rights Council to the massacre by Hamas and others accused of killing possibly over 50 Palestinians who were opposing Hamas.

And like a mafia regime, they want to massacre any of their critics or opponents.' And the response of the world is crickets – (on the) video was the sound of crickets.”

 

Neuer added that Israel's critics are silent, as well.

"Groups like Amnesty International, many leading activists like Greta Thunberg, the climate Palestine activist who claimed to care about Gaza, who claimed to care about Palestinians, have been completely silent as Hamas is murdering Palestinians," he said.

If Hamas keeps its weapons, it may jeopardize the next phase of the ceasefire plan.

 

The Sunni nations of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are expected to be part of an Arab force to monitor the ceasefire, although they reportedly won't participate if Hamas keeps its weapons.

Many believe that unless Hamas is disarmed, it will sabotage any force sent to restore order in Gaza, and unless they're eliminated, there would be no chance for rehabilitation or reconstruction.

The Saudis and the U.A.E. noticeably did not attend the recent peace summit in Egypt, and they reminded world leaders they warned about "countries that destabilize the region," a veiled reference to Qatar, which has funded Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood for decades.

Gaza Ceasefire Will Continue Between Airstrikes, Confirms IDF

THE Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has dismissed suggestions that the Gaza ceasefire has been broken on numerous occasions, claiming that peace is still in place ‘between bombing campaigns’.

 

Israel launched waves of lethal airstrikes on Sunday and cut off all aid into Gaza ‘until further notice’ after it alleged Hamas had carried out an attack, but insisted everything is ‘going to plan’ in between all the death and destruction.

 

“When you discount the bombing raids, shootings, public executions, mortar fire, the lack of critical aid in the required quantities and missile attacks, the ceasefire is going pretty well in Gaza,” an IDF statement read, after admitting to opening fire on ‘several people’ for crossing a yellow line they painted to contain the peace.

 

Echoing the statement, US President Donald Trump backed up the ceasefire claims: “Never before has there been so much peace. Gazans are emailing me every day saying how peaceful it is since I visited last week. When an IDF jet has to refuel between airstrikes, there’s so much peace. People need to start looking at the positives, not the negatives.”

 

The IDF later confirmed there will be short ‘pauses’ in the ongoing peace deal during planned attacks on the region but warned that any retaliation from Hamas will be treated as a ‘breach of the ceasefire’.

Report: Army Contractor Claims Responsibility for 2024’s Mystery Drone Scare

A private company at a high-profile Army conference demonstrated a unique aircraft and allegedly took credit for the mystery drone panic that gripped New Jersey and much of the East Coast in 2024, according to a source.

The New York Post reports that a private contractor at the Army’s UAS and Launched Effects Summit at Fort Rucker has claimed responsibility for the widespread mystery drone scare that swept across New Jersey in November 2024.

During a live demonstration at the summit, the unnamed company showcased an aerial craft with an unconventional appearance and unorthodox flight movements, leaving attendees in awe.

 

According to a source who attended the event, an employee of the contractor approached a small group after the demonstration and stated, “You remember that big UFO scare in New Jersey last year? Well, that was us.”

The employee further revealed that the company was testing their capabilities over the Garden State in November 2024 and was not obligated to disclose their activities to the public due to a private government contract.

 

The roughly 20-foot, four-winged aircraft displayed at the summit was captured in video footage provided to the Post. The craft was seen effortlessly navigating through the skies just above the tree line, capturing the attention of numerous soldiers on the ground.

The military veteran and drone expert who witnessed the demonstration described the aircraft as having an “uncanny valley feeling” and noted that it seemed to disappear when turning, potentially explaining the reports of UFO sightings in New Jersey.

 

The mystery drone scare in New Jersey began on November 13, 2024, over the Army base Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County and continued throughout the state until early December.

In January, President Trump’s FAA announced that many of the reported mystery drone sightings were attributed to hobbyists, recreational pilots, and private individuals.

However, the revelation at the Army summit sheds new light on the true nature of at least some of these sightings.

 

The Army declined to comment on the matter, citing the ongoing federal government shutdown.

Women who use Depo-Provera face a higher risk of developing a slow-growing brain tumor, according to a new study that comes as the contraceptive’s maker, Pfizer, faces hundreds of lawsuits claiming that it was aware of the potential risks.

 

Depo-Provera — the brand name for depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) — contains the synthetic progestin hormone, which stops the ovaries from releasing an egg to prevent pregnancy.

 

The injections, used by roughly 1 in 4 sexually active US women at some point, last about three months

 

For the new study, researchers examined over 61 million female patient records, finding that women who used DMPA had a twofold higher risk of getting diagnosed with meningioma compared to women not on hormonal birth control.

 

Meningioma is typically benign, but the tumors can cause problems by putting pressure on nerves or brain structures. The disease affects women more frequently than men, likely due to the influence of female hormones that can fuel tumor growth.

 

The researchers, from the Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University, found the greatest meningioma risk in women who started DMPA after the age of 31 or those who used it for four-plus years.

 

“In this study, women receiving [DMPA] had a greater relative risk of subsequent meningioma diagnosis, especially with prolonged exposures and starting the medication at older ages,” the study authors wrote in JAMA Neurology.

 

Medroxyprogesterone acetate was initially synthesized in 1954 to treat endometriosis, uterine fibroids and other gynecological conditions.

 

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rejected Depo-Provera for contraceptive use for many years due to worries about cancer risks before finally approving it in 1992, following additional studies and after it had been used as a contraceptive in other countries.

 

The concerns didn’t stop there. A “black box” warning was added in 2004 to its label, alerting users that it could lead to significant bone mineral density loss, particularly with long-term use.

 

Then last year, a French study published in The BMJ found that women who used Depo-Provera for over a year had a 5.6 times greater risk of developing a meningioma.

 

Now, Pfizer is facing over 1,200 federal lawsuits related to Depo-Provera, with women alleging that the pharmaceutical giant failed to warn them about the meningioma risk.

BIRD Foundation approves $5.5 million in Israeli-US projects, gathers $14 million in total

 

The investments, gathered from both public and private sectors, will be used in five projects centered on hardware, medical devices, mental health, and rehabilitation innovations.

 

A new $5.5 million investment was approved by the Israel-US Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation for five projects centered on hardware, medical devices, mental health, and rehabilitation innovations.

 

In addition, leveraging private-sector funding will allow a combined investment of $14 million, a statement by the foundation explained. “The five newly approved projects bring the total number of BIRD-supported collaborations to over 1,100 during the Foundation’s 48 years of activity,” they added.

 

The statement also noted that the total of BIRD's investments since its inception is over $406 million, with joint projects' direct and indirect revenues exceeding $10 billion according to their estimates.

 

Five new BIRD projects

The first project is centered on the development of compact, low-power, miniature atomic clocks and magnetometers using innovative quantum technology. Accubeat is developing the technology in Jerusalem, in collaboration with Louisville’s FieldLine Industries/Medical.

In the second, an Israeli Company is working alongside Resolution Medical (from Minneapolis, MN) in developing specialized catheters for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis.

 

Mentally Innovations from Or Yehuda and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (Bethesda, MD) are working to advance an automated assessment to improve post-traumatic stress diagnosis (AI PTSD).

Newton Tech, a Tel Aviv-based company, and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston are in talks to develop high-throughput gait and movement analysis for clinical evaluation.

 

Finally, Tuned from Gan Yoshiya is working alongside Novidan Inc. to develop an AI Audiologist, coupled with High-Performance, Low-Cost Hearing Aids.

 

“The BIRD Foundation continues to spark groundbreaking collaborations, this year spanning atomic clocks, advanced catheters, AI for PTSD diagnosis, VR-based rehabilitation, and intelligent hearing aids that address global health and technology challenges,” said Dr. Alon Stopel, Chief Scientist of Innovation at the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, and co-chair of BIRD’s Board of Governors.

President Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Monday signed an agreement on rare earth minerals at the White House.

 

Trump and Albanese signed the agreement at the start of their meeting on Monday, with the president telling reporters that it had "been negotiated over a period of four or five months," NBC News reported.

 

"We got it done just in time for the visit," Trump said. "And we work together very much on rare earths, critical minerals and lots of other things, and we’ve had a very good relationship. We’ve been working on that for quite a while."

 

Albanese said that Australia has an $8.5 billion pipeline "ready to go" for the deal.

 

Australia has the minimum tariff rate of 10%. When asked on Monday if the U.S. plans to lift the tariffs, Trump touted his general trade policies and then said, "I will say this, Australia, pays very low tariffs, very, very low tariffs. Australia pays among the lowest tariffs."

 

Albanese’s office said Sunday that he and Trump are also expected to discuss defense cooperation, Indo-Pacific stability, and the AUKUS nuclear submarine deal.

 

AUKUS is a $240 billion trilateral security deal whereby Australia would buy U.S. nuclear-powered submarines in 2032 and then build a new submarine class with the United Kingdom.

America First Legal filed an amicus brief in the Federal Trade Commission case before the Supreme Court, which is over whether President Trump has the authority to fire a FTC commissioner.

 

AFL announced Monday that it filed an amicus brief with Mitchell Law PLLC on Friday, urging the Supreme Court to rule that Trump has the constitutional authority to remove executive officials.

 

In March, Trump fired Rebecca Slaughter, a Democrat who was appointed to the FTC in 2018. Slaughter sued over the firing, arguing that Trump didn't have the authority to remove her from her position.

 

AFL asked the Supreme Court to overturn its 1935 decision in Humphrey’s Executor v. United States, which "stripped presidents of control over so-called 'independent' agencies like the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)—allowing unelected bureaucrats to wield executive power without accountability to the American people," according to the nonprofit law firm.

 

AFL argues that the landmark case is unconstitutional, and that the Supreme Court should overturn it.

 

“The Federal Trade Commission undoubtedly exercises executive power. The President necessarily must be able to remove any official who does so, and it is time for the Supreme Court to finally overturn Humphrey’s Executor for good,” AFL President Gene Hamilton said.

Israeli Cyber Official Fled U.S. After Child Sex Arrest — Now Represented by Trump’s Homeland Security Nominee

 

The scandal deepens. Tom Alexandrovich, a top Israeli cybersecurity official caught in a Las Vegas child sex sting in September, has been quietly indicted — six weeks after U.S. authorities let him slip back to Israel.

 

Even stranger, his new defense attorney is none other than David Chesnoff, a powerful Las Vegas lawyer appointed to the Homeland Security Advisory Council by President Trump.

 

Alexandrovich, who helps guide Israel’s cybersecurity policy, was representing Israel at Black Hat USA, a professional conference in Las Vegas, when he was one of seven people swept up in a major, multi-agency sting operation targeting pedophiles soliciting sex acts with minors.

 

According to court records, on Aug 6, the 38-year-old Alexandrovich allegedly committed the felony offense of using computer technology in an attempt to lure a child into sexual abuse. That particular crime encompasses children under 16. The next day, he posted a $10,000 bond at the Henderson Detention Center and fled the country to Israel, a known safe haven for pedophiles.

 

ZeroHedge report: Online court records show that Alexandrovich is expected to appear on Oct. 15 for an initial arraignment, and is being represented by Las Vegas-based defense attorney David Chesnoff – who President Trump appointed to a position on the Homeland Security Advisory Council.

 

Why is an alleged Israeli high-level government pedophile being represented by a Trump nominee? Chesnoff also represented an Israeli dual citizen who pleaded guilty to lying about the Bidens taking a $5 million bribe from Burisma. Really weird.

 

In any event, according to the indictment, Alexandrovich “willfully, unlawfully and knowingly” with an undercover FBI agent, whom he believed was under 16, with the intent to “solicit, persuade or lure” them into sexual conduct through online apps such as WhatsApp and Pure, the latter of which is an app that allows users to “date, play and misbehave” anonymously.

 

As the news broke six weeks ago, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reflexively denied Alexandrovich had done anything wrong, claiming that “the employee, who does not hold a diplomatic visa, was not arrested and returned to Israel as scheduled.”

 

Subsequently confronted with court records, Israel’s Cyber Directorate said the earlier false statement “was accurate based on the information provided to us,” and that Alexandrovich is now on leave “by mutual decision.”

 

As we noted at the time of his arrest, it’s not clear why or how he was allowed to return to Israel, which has a reputation as a haven for pedophiles who prey on American children.

 

Citing a Jewish watchdog group, a 2020 CBS News report found that, in just the previous six years, more than 60 Jewish Americans who’d been accused of pedophilia had fled to Israel, taking advantage of Israel’s “Right of Return” law that lets any Jewish individual in the world enjoy instant citizenship (though they are still subject to extradition).

'Challenge for banks is making sure no one is left behind'

 

Nearly 5,000 ATMs have disappeared across Australia in just five years as the nation's shift towards digital banking accelerates.

 

New analysis from Canstar shows the number of cash machines and branches has fallen dramatically, leaving some communities without easy access to basic banking services.

 

ATM numbers have also plunged, falling by 333 in the past year and by 4,478 since the end of the 2020 financial year.

 

Meanwhile, the number of bank branches nationwide fell by 155 over the past financial year, and by 1,564 over five years.

 

Commonwealth Bank recorded the largest reduction, shutting 49 branches, a seven per cent fall over the year and a 33 per cent decline over the past five years.

 

Westpac followed with 25 closures, down five per cent year-on-year and 46 per cent lower than five years ago.

 

NAB saw a modest decrease, closing three branches, or one per cent, bringing its five-year decline to 34 per cent.

 

ANZ also trimmed its network by 21 branches, a seven per cent annual drop, and has now halved its total branch footprint since 2020.

Actor Robert De Niro had a full-scale meltdown over President Donald Trump, going so far as questioning if he was even human.

The 82-year-old made an appearance on the MSNBC show “The Weekend” on Sunday to voice support for the nationwide “No Kings” demonstrations, which were very popular with his age demographic, and urge followers to keep protesting against Trump.

 

“We can’t let up,” De Niro said. “We cannot let up because [Trump] is not going to leave the White House. He does not want to leave the White House; he will not leave the White House. Anybody who thinks, ‘Oh, he’ll do this, he’ll do that,’ is just deluding themselves.”

“We see it all the time—[Trump] will not want to leave,” he went on. “He set it up with, I guess he’s the Goebbels of the cabinet, Stephen Miller.”

“He’s a Nazi,” the actor continued, comparing Miller, who is Jewish, to Adolf Hitler’s chief Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels. “Yes, he is, and he should be ashamed of himself.”

 

Trump did mention seeking a third term in the past, but more recently stated that Vice President JD Vance is “most likely” going to be the Republican Party’s 2028 presidential nominee.

“I’m looking to having four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, to carry it forward,” he said in August.

 

During the MSNBC segment over the weekend, De Niro whined that Trump was a “bully” and advocated for pushing him out of office.

“Trump does not understand anything about humanity,” the “Raging Bull” star said. “He has no empathy. I don’t know what he is, but he’s an alien, and he wants to hurt this country. It’s something deeply psychological in him. He wants to hurt people.”

 

De Niro has been suffering from a severe case of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) for some time.

Last year, it landed him on the cover of The New York Post alongside the headline, “Raging Bullsh**” after the actor ranted about Trump outside a New York City courthouse.

Colombia recalls ambassador to the US after Trump announces tariffs increase

 

Colombia has recalled its ambassador to the United States, hours after Donald Trump announced he would would raise tariffs on the South American nation, in a feud that stems from the American military's strikes on vessels allegedly transporting drugs.

 

The Colombian foreign ministry said on Monday, local time that the country's ambassador in Washington DC, Daniel García-Peña, had already returned to Bogotá.

 

Chancellor Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio Mapy also confirmed the Colombian government would soon release more details about why President Gustavo Petro Urrego ordered Mr García-Peña to be recalled.

 

On Sunday, local time, Mr Trump called Mr Petro an "illegal drug leader" and said the US would slash financial assistance to Colombia because its president "does nothing to stop" illicit drug production.

 

"The purpose of this drug production is the sale of massive amounts of product into the United States, causing death, destruction, and havoc," Mr Trump said in a Truth Social post.

 

"Petro, a low rated and very unpopular leader, with a fresh mouth toward America, better close up these killing fields immediately, or the United States will close them up for him, and it won't be done nicely."

 

Mr Petro's government said it found Mr Trump's comments to be offensive.

 

Later in the day, Mr Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that Colombia has "no fight against drugs" and "they are a drug manufacturing machine" with "a lunatic" for a president.

 

He also said that he would announce new tariffs on Colombia on Monday.

A retired teacher has been convicted of the historical abuse of 18 girls at a former residential school.

Patricia Robertson, 77, assaulted and humiliated youngsters during her time at Fornethy House in Angus. The charges spanned 15 years between 1969 and 1984.

Robertson denied the accusations during a trial at the High Court in Glasgow but was convicted of a total of 18 charges of cruel and unnatural treatment of the youngsters.

Sentence was deferred on the first offender until December. The judge, Lord Colbeck, granted her bail The court heard Robertson's victims had been sent to the residential school for "short-term respite" from their homes.

The teacher force fed, assaulted and humiliated the girls.

One survivor told jurors: "I just wanted to curl up like a wee baby.

"I still do not understand how an adult could be like that."

Robertson accepted that she used a "strong voice" when sometimes dealing with the girls, but insisted she was not violent and had not bullied them.

Shaken 'like a rag doll'

Fornethy was run by two former local authorities, Glasgow Corporation and Strathclyde Regional Council.

It closed in 1993 and the building has been empty ever since.

It was said to offer "convalescent care" for girls aged between five and 12 for up to eight weeks at a time.

The trial heard testimony from a number of former residents about the regime there.

One of the victims recalled being force-fed semolina, which she had been struggling to swallow.

The witness said: "I remember Robertson was over at the other table and she came over to me shouting and bawling. She was saying: 'You need to eat. It is good for you'.

"The next minute, I got my hair pulled back and the spoon was put down my throat. She just would not let go."

The woman said she was then made to stand in a corner of the room facing away from others.

She remembers this sort of incident would "happen to everyone".

The victim also said she was assaulted during a later stay at Fornethy while helping to scrub floors.

She was pulled back and forward "like a rag doll" before ending up on the floor on her knees.

The woman recalled: "I just wanted my mum." She said she was beaten for "trying to do a good job".

Another survivor described the atmosphere at Fornethy as "scary, cold, unloved".

She added: "You would be able to write letters (for family), but only what they dictated and you had to copy that."

The woman said she was "scared" to report any incidents at the time.

Many other girls suffered similar ordeals.

Robertson targeted one youngster who was slapped, punched and had a blackboard duster hurled at her.

Another child was put over Robertson's knee and slapped on her bare buttocks.

Robertson, now of Essex, gave evidence during the trial and denied all the claims.

A large group of women affected by the abuse at Fornethy were in court for the verdict.

There were shouts of "Yes" as the guilty verdicts were read out.

Robertson will be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow in December.

Conviction a 'watershed moment'

Thompsons Solicitors, the law firm which represents 218 people who say they were affected by the events at Fornethy House, welcomed the news of Robertson's conviction.

Partner Laura Connor said it was a "watershed moment" for their clients.

"We have heard them in court and also heard of the positive impact their testimony had on other survivors," she said.

"Today's conviction is a crucial milestone in a long fight for truth and accountability.

"Our clients have spoken of their happiness and relief at finally being heard, and believed."

An 86-year-old man, with a history of sigmoid colon carcinoma, suffered from recurrent abdominal pain and distension, and diarrhea for six months, with inappetence. At admission, he was also diagnosed with depression. Upon physical examination, the patient presented with a 1.5 cm × 2.0 cm alopecia areata on his right occiput. Due to the negative results of laboratory testing, capsule endoscopy, and colonoscopy, the patient was diagnosed with noninfectious diarrhea, depressive disorder, and patchy alopecia areata. Considering that noninfectious diarrhea in the elderly patient was mainly caused by gut dysbiosis, he was given six rounds of FMT. His diarrhea improved remarkably one month after FMT, with improved appetite and disappearance of abdominal pain, distension, and depressive symptoms. Surprisingly, he reported new hair growth on the affected region of his scalp, with some of his white hair gradually turning to black, without taking any other therapies for alopecia areata before and after FMT.
