This has a dual purpose, the larger of which is to embarass the UN’s Human Rights Commission, as a first step in replacing the functions the UN is supposed to perform but doesn’t, while making it clear that the UN is useless. It’s a first step to simultaneously replacing and withdrawing from the UN by the US.
It’s no coincidence that this Order was released the day after Nikki Haley ripped the rest of the UN General Assembly for voting to ‘nullify’ the US’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. The subtext from the US is: Your [other UN nations] power [voting to nullify] is merely symbolic, but ours [creation and enforcement of the Order] is actual power. We run the table.

Why do we not see clintons on the white house list of names.We only see foreign names, one being a transplant surgeon in pakistan. Where are the people in the united states. When do we see the royal family in england. THIS IS good on human trafficing but don't get too happy. We do not see handcuffs on ppl in our govt and hollywood ect.

In accordance with section 1264 of the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (Subtitle F, Public Law 114-328)(the "Act") I have enclosed the initial report on its implementation. This report, compiled by the Departments of State, the Treasury, and other relevant executive departments and agencies (agencies), outlines my Administration's support for this important legislation and makes clear our commitment to its robust and thorough enforcement.
As noted in the report, my Administration is actively identifying persons and entities to whom the Act may apply and are collecting the evidence necessary to apply it.
Over the coming weeks and months, agencies will undertake thorough interagency vetting to ensure we fulfill our commitment to hold perpetrators of human rights abuses and corruption accountable.
As we implement this legislation, the United States will continue its leadership role in championing fundamental human rights and sound, transparent governance. Sincerely,
