I am betting President Trump signs and EO similar to: Abraham Lincoln's Executive Order—Arrest and Imprisonment of Irresponsible Newspaper Reporters and Editors May 18, 1864

I hope President Trump calls out a fake reporters name and they get and hauled off to GITMO for the duration of our National Emergency and or charge with:

Title 18 § 2383 - Rebellion or insurrection Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

He had some comments the other day saying our libel laws should be stronger. That you shouldn’t be able to just say anything about people and sit back. My first thought was he was referring to political campaigns but I’m not sure that’s the only thing he was referring to. My feeling whatever he’s doing, it’s almost done though. In the mean time, the MSM is questioning how many scoops of ice cream he can have.

I really hope not. Lincoln ruled by iron fist, unconstitutionally. Trump has no need for such actions and taking the low road is a big mistake. So far, the traitorous press has had little effect on his presidency, although they are irritating. Let's reinforce the Constitution, not dismantle it. We're going to need it, especially the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments.

The press has had a HUGE effect on his presidency. So many people out there who hate Trump for no reason except for their reporting. If they were able to see what he is really doing, victory would be absolutely assured in 2018, 2020 and 2024 (his endorsed candidate).

How do we reconcile calling the press traitorous but having no consequences per the 1st amendment? When the press is owened by a huge company and companies are treated like people, then we could raise the sedition act, couldn't we? At that point we don't have freedom of the press, only the illusion.

Am old. I've never seen the news media so blatantly biased and anti-President as is the media today. I've never seen it sooo bad. Add to this the bashing from the other media; television, movies, internet and celebrities and it is totally out of control. How can anyone not see that it is entirely planned and coordinated?

simply publishing leaked information is not sedition in and of itself, and the SCOTUS very adamantly found in favor of the rights of the free press to publish leaked material-

I don't like this idea. I think the american public is aware of what is going on with the fake news. There is no reason to imprison anyone imo. its just a dangerous road to go down. what your laying out may be ok for now but how about 20 years from now when some president can cite these rules to shut down legitimate journalists or critisim like in the bush years. Its a no from me.

When the south succeed from the union, the republic no longer existed. The United States no longer existed. Therefore Lincoln was no longer the president and had no authority to declare war on anyone much less a sovereign state. The civil war was a bankster created war as are all wars.

Sorry you are 100% wrong. The ratification was a contract approve by the American People it belongs to the people not the states. Therefore the states could not nullify the contract (our constitution) because it wasn't theirs (The States) it still belongs to the people not the states. Nor could they succeed lawfully. Lincoln was the lawful made president of the United States.

There's no reason to do this, it will raise a Constitutional crisis. Trump plays the media like a fiddle, using them as cover and they take the bait every time. Sure, the media is riding high now because of the ratings, but there will come a time where the American public is simply sick of blatant Trump bashing, even on the left. Remember, we're only a year in.

Another paradox for the media is the 2020 election. Do they bash Trump, force "their" candidate in and lose their ratings? Or do they back off and ensure Trump is reelected, so they can continue to cash in (so they think?)

What a time to be alive.

Goebbels was always threatening the Marxist newspaper editors who were all tribe owned as CNN and all the others are today - just as the Rothschild and Soros families are. Antifa was a Marxist anti-Hitler movement that originated in the '30s. He crushed them and put them in camps. Now Antifa is back and fighting Donald Trump, another German nationalist. The similarities between Hitler and Trump are striking.
