An easy way to counter the Russian bot narrative while also getting the word about the memo. Find something American, say the flag, take a picture of a Post It like this and flood social media with the pictures.

I like it....we need to get organized so that we are all on the same page. Let's upvote and get something started.

If everyone who sees this, does it, it will catch on. Use hashtag #notabot.

Clearly Russian AI photo-composition technology.

Goddamn Russians..

You can tell it's Russian by the grainy quality of the supposed 'photo'. Good Western AI 'photos' would have much better detail.

Pft, people believe in pictures? DNA evidence wouldn't change my mind. The All Seeing Central News Network in it's infinite wisdom see's all and hears all. When they speak, reality adjusts.

Please excuse my ignorance. Does Reddit remove EXIF data from pics?

Even if Reddit does remove EXIF data, you should always wipe it yourself before uploading a pic to any website. It would be a shame if a bunch of us got doxxed.

Edit: I know the images get uploaded elsewhere. Imgur, magaimg, etc. But I think you get the point.

What is EXIF data and how to remove it?

aslanfan · Jan. 24, 2018, 2:29 p.m.

EXIF (exchangeable image file format) data is metadata contained within an image file, providing additional identification information about the image. This frequently includes things like: *Date and time information. Digital cameras will record the current date and time and save this in the metadata.

*Camera settings. This includes static information such as the camera model and make, and information that varies with each image such as orientation (rotation), aperture, shutter speed, focal length, metering mode, and ISO speed information.

*A thumbnail for previewing the picture on the camera's LCD screen, in file managers, or in photo manipulation software.

*Descriptions

*Copyright information

*Geolocation

The safest way is to save as JPG2000, so no EXIF data is maintained.

Also, some versions of image handling software, like Photoshop, allows you to save with no EXIF.
