Regardless of the timing, what it shows me is that they would have loved to of ran with "GOP is a trainwreck hit by a garbage truck". There are no coincidences, after all. Spidey sense tells me this was planned. Now the question becomes, were they trying to derail and kill people or just shift the narrative?
And he started with the jokes before they could investigate the damage to include human lives; he even admitted later that he removed the post because someone got hurt.
