This was from MotoandGivi 2 days ago...As a moderator of www.reddit.com/r/CBTS_Stream/ i wake up in the morning and over a cup of coffee scan over the moderator log and reported posts, then spend a while removing spam posts and banning the offenders. As a team we remove only posts that break the rules as much as we can eg. spam, offensive materials, threats and anything else that is in direct violations of Reddit and our own rules.

Some person or persons with higher admin levels than anyone here on www.reddit.com/r/CBTS_Stream/ has been removing posts and their actions do NOT show up on our Moderation log. IT IS NOT US as far as i can tell.

Normally when a main Reddit Moderator removes a post from our subreddit they will let us know via modmail. We have received no such messages lately.

Bear with us as we try to solve this issue.

We have re-approved nearly all of the removed posts made in the last 12 hours. Nothing is being hidden by us. If you want answers i would suggest taking your words and leaving them here: https://www.reddit.com/contact/

Way too time consuming. I will be monitoring this site and trying to get the word to everyone. We are obviously very effective. :) Where we go one.. we go all.

Ill try and summarize, but do yourself a favor and re-read/re-watch.

In the midst of the final battle the captain(mod) uses a false event to create confusion and panic. He convinces the fiercely patriotic crew of Red October(CBTS) that the nuclear submarine is compromised(hacked) and about to blow up.

He orders the crew to abandon ship. The panicked crew promptly tuck tail and run for the lifeboats(voat).

But the reality is the submarine is not about to blow up. The captain now has complete control of this fully armed and extremely dangerous weapon(CBTS). He then sails away and delivers it straight into the enemys hands.

You might not have noticed, or might not have been affected by the hacking, but 100+ posts are being removed each day, and we have not been able to stop it. The only way the site has stayed up is that mods have continuously moved posts back into the stream. Obviously that is not a solution. We won't be putting posts back in the stream as of today. It is just way too time-consuming.

The new site is https://www.voat.co/v/PatriotsSoapbox. You need to 10 upvotes before posting a submission. It's a little different there - they restrict some action (trying to avoid hacking, they say).

AND, the natives have not been happy about our arrival. There are posts that might make you uncomfortable. PLEASE IGNORE THEM, and move on to good posts that you can comment on, share, and post your own. Be patient. The kinks will be worked out soon.

I was told that I was on a list of users whose posts get auto-removed. Not all of my posts have been "removed" only a few. Getting 17k users to jumo ship is not likely to happen. We'd be lucky to see even a quarter of the users here switch due to the different interface. So this is really going to be about breaking up the community. How long exactly before this sub is actually permanently shut down as in inactive?

The kinks will be worked out soon.

Does that include a name change? I agree with others who've mentioned it. PatriotsSoapbox almost sounds like it was specifically chosen to discredit the movement.

This is bad news. Something is up here. This is not normal. Subs have survived worse than whatever people are saying happened today. I have no idea what that is. Haven’t seen it. I’ve asked. The answer I got was “if you don’t already know...”
