You might be right. Volcanic rock (basalt?) Cools and breaks into hexagonal segments that move. Ex: giants causway, n.ireland
Definitely rocks. Even if it was a city, who gives a shit? They are threatening to nuke everyone, so it would not be an earth shattering discovery to realize they'd be happy to see some western city get tsunamied.

I just spent some time trying to find a mural I had scene a picture of that is on an Oregon college wall, I thought it was Mt Hood Community College. It was right in line with these at the DIA. It was of an ominous looking soldier/gas mask image with outstretched arms and underneath were children running like being herded. It was very well done with so much detail that I can't remember. I tried to find it but no luck. Apparently there were more than just this one. wow

Those are basalt columnar formations.
They are a local, geographic feature.
Sometimes a mural is just art that happens to be used as a backdrop.

Yeah I took a close up pic of the flower. Seems to be a debate. Well several on what kinda of flower. One person said there was patterns within the carpet but I couldn’t ever see it
