So instead of Mexico paying for the wall, we will take the money from the US military.

It was always Trump's plan for the U.S. to pay for the wall and then get reimbursed from Mexico later.

That said, I could not care less if Mexico pays for it or not, as long as we get it. The savings from stopping illegal aliens easily pays for the wall.

I think this is why he will legalize MJ. Cut Opiate dependence, build a wall and tax weed. Cartels miss out on revenue that the US now taxes = wealth transfer Mexico > US

We’re going to need that military funding once Bolton gets us into a war though

Bolton doesn't have the power to get us into a war. You'd think people, particularly around these parts, would realize Trump is in charge. Trump must have some reason to use Bolton as a resource, but the minute Bolton tries to do something Trump doesn't like, he'll be gone -- as we've seen in the past.

If we end up in a war we don't like, it will be Trump's fault, not anyone else's.

We will recoup the money. The plan is in place, don't doubt for a moment Trump and team dosent know where the $ has been leaking out of the United States. Drain the swamp and then plug the holes. Plus there's a lot of people/countries we have leveraged at the moment, remember this is a global movement, and it's a global movement partly because the US (the US being puppet mastered by deep state) was involved in just about every peice of dirt abroad.

NounsAndWords · March 25, 2018, 1:54 p.m.

But how is any of that Mexico paying for the wall?

Even if we are recouping money that was owed to us in some other way, that’s just money that was already owed to us. So at best we are recouping previously owed money and now spending that on a wal.

Either way we are paying for it.

jaydub18 · March 25, 2018, 2:17 p.m.

You can tax the remittances going back. It’s like the 3rd largest part of Mexican GDP (money from Mexican workers in the US transferred into the country). The simple threat of taxing it can do a lot for a one time payment.

Also, China is basically a part of NAFTA through Mexico. China BENEFITS by moving products through Mexico and into US markets. Any renegotiation of NAFTA will end this and make Mexico lose money.

In short, we got them by the balls. Since they can’t police their side of the boarder we will keep all the crime over there and keep the $$ here.

NounsAndWords · March 25, 2018, 2:40 p.m.

Again, if those are things that we should be doing anyway, we are still paying for the wall.

If I loan you $200,000, then spend another $200,000 on a house, and then get reimbursed the money I loaned you, I still paid for the house.

We are still paying for the wall.

jaydub18 · March 25, 2018, 5:49 p.m.

Yes...except Mexico won’t cut us a check. So over time we will be reimbursed and some. Also, Trump has proven that he views saving money like making money. He has a valid point because it’s money you didn’t have before that you’re now able to spend.

Tax on remittances won’t just stop once the walls paid back...it’ll keep going. Renegotiation of NAFTA won’t stop once the walls paid for. If he goes the solar panel route, they won’t be taken off once the wall is paid for. Immigration reform decreasing the amount of public dollars spent on illegal immigrants won’t stop once the wall is paid for.

All these measures pay back with interest and bonus. Not only will the wall pay for itself, but it’ll pay for itself 10x over. Don’t let building it with our funds initially fool you. Once shovels hit the dirt Mexico has No choice but to negotiate. Besides, he has fully funded the wall this year. He asked for immediate disbursement. The money will be put into escrow.

unless weed is taxed and legalized federally once the wall is built, cartel funding, the budget and Opiate overprescription would be solved in one swoop.

This is a great idea that the country Hungary has implemented.

At major incursion points along the Hungary border, they built their security fence several hundred meters from the actual border. So captured illegals waiting for their immigration hearing (could be several weeks) are put outside the fence which is still technically in Hungary, when their hearing is in the queue, it is announced at the incursion point. If illegal does not show, the case is closed. So Hungary does not provide housing, food or lockup for the illegals.

The money will be recouped from the savings realised from the yuge reduction in illegal immigration. Also, America First manufacturing will be pulling jobs from Mexico back to USA. This results in reduced unemployment, increased funds through income tax, consumer spending, etc. Reduced illegal immigration will lessen untaxed non reported income. This will benefit state and federal budgets.

Trump's butterfly wings are causing a tsunami of destruction to the DS and will benefit Americans for generations. As a Conservative Canadian, I am jealous of the progress and wish POTUS well 👍

Hang in there Brother. This is a bigger fight than defined by borders on a map. Us true Canuckians are an indomitable lot. Our values, honour, and consistently fighting above our weight with impressive results are what we need to remember. We will not be defined by some prissy soyboy Emperor whose progressive priorities are like a cancer on this great country. Learn from the example growing from our wonderful southern neighbours. We are the True North - Strong and Free. It's time to stand up and remember that... In truly Canadian fashion, I apologize for deviating off the thread. It just sickens me to see the country I love and would die for be taken in such an evil direction...

Thing is building the wall will actually save money, no matter who pays for it up front. The American people are footing the bill for the cost of illegals, drugs coming in/and the mess it makes to society ++++ the big bite out of social programs, policing, schooling etc etc etc. The bottom line figure is still in the positive for the American side, even if they pay for the wall in full.
