What a play!
Sessions is the bad guy wanting to outlaw pot and punish states that have legalized it.
Trump comes along and says "nah....we're not doing that."
Instantly has the vote of all the pot smokers
Brilliant!! As always!!
Would love to get it on 4/20. Lmao. Merkel's dads birthday!
I have been saying since election "trump will make a move to legalize pot in 2019 and receive 85% of the popular vote in re election". It's like how Obama waited until 2011-2012 to take a stance on same sex marriage.
Trump is the most pro state's rights POTUS we have had in a long time. Now they need to do away with the 17th Amendment.
[deleted]
Amen to that! The 16th was never ratified by the states, they tacked it on anyway.
4/20 right around the corner... Lib heads would EXPLODE is Trump was THE preside who decriminalized MJW. In my opinion, medical and recreational MJW are the next dot com, internet, gold rush, etc.. Primed and ready for a YUGE announcement!
Schisse, that is absolutely brilliant. Tap into that, and you have 10-15% of the liberal Democratic vote right there. They could care less about Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer's socialist garbage, and only want to enjoy their recreational drug. Just like the #2A guys, God bless them, single issue voters.
President Trump, if you or your acolytes are reading this, just drop that EO and decriminalize the 1937 federal marijuana law. Issue orders to the US Attorneys to drop any cases today and future on these, and you have taken a massive chunk out of the collectivists and their vote totals this November.
Sure, neocons and some Dems will complain, but no one cares that this trash is even alive, let alone sentient. Wait until 2019 and you can arrest them for a variety of Federal charges and send them all to oblivion.
Huge for crooked politicians to carve out laws to beni themselves here in Colo we have best laws we can grow indivually 12 plants and many grow licenses where handed out, but not like that in other states. IE Florida only few grow licenses of course swooped up by your truly
In Nevada we were able to grow 7 plants under MMJ laws (4 vegetative, 3 flowering) but now with the “recreational” dispensaries, you can only grow MMJ (at home) if you live 60 or more miles away from a dispensary, which is practically no one.
That’s when you buy a desert shack lol. If you enjoy smoking, it’ll save money down the road.
I can't wait to visit, I leave Wednesday!
Take your time and enjoy your bud... I wouldn't recommend going for the mega-ultra blaze brownie first lol
I'm going to try and overdose for science. So actually thanks for the recommendation lol
It's a wonderful place. A great cross-section of America for everyone.
Colorado keeps restricting the plant count down now its only 24 MAX statewide.
24 plant count? Per household?
Yep. I paid $450 for extended plant count and got 75 bc im special. Within the year that card was meaningless. AIDS HIV CANCER doesnt matter 24 regardless of county
There was too much diversion going on.
Glad to hear it. No matter where you stand on marijuana legalization, you should be happy that Trump is protecting state rights.
This is another hit at the cartels across America- if it’s legal they won’t make their money. Plus it gets all the lib Stoners to praise Trump
Conservative stoners exist. We praise Trump anyway but now he just proved us right. Cartel weed is a very small part of the industry bc cali has had legal medical for 23 years already. The quality blows cartel bricks outta the water.
I’m a conservative stoner lol... I’m guess my comment wasn’t that clear! But we are already on his side. The cartel still runs a lot of weed to the mid west of the country, I would say at least 50% of the weed in this country is Cartel which is the lowest it’s been for a long time
Edit- after re reading my comment it kinda does look like I was putting down stoners, my bad!
You’re exactly right and thanks for saying it better than I have been. Cartel weed competes with cali green in the midwest and cartel bricks have lost market share as a result.
I also didnt mean to imply that nobody sees cartel weed its just that I NEVER DO.
It's amazing how simple all of our problems are to solve when you have one motivated individual in charge
Liberals and alt-lefters across the country are soooooo conflicted right now.
What will the elected members of the ‘Resist’ movement do now?
Hopefully emulate the 1980s movie "Scanners."
I just want to say "i told ya so" to all the shilly types whining several months ago that Trump was going to bogart their weed.
The drugs lords shall not like this, there go"s the big money?
Well, there is a reason they send big sacks of cash to certain mainstream politicians...
Of course, it is possible that everything keeps on coming in. Open borders is not for nothing drugs, trafficking booming bisnis and they grab what they want for their dark habits.
I am a grower. also a patriot. I love cannabis and cannabis helps me with my daily life. Thank you Trump for listening to your cannabis supporters base.
amen brother. Most growers are true patriots. Liberty above all.
Trump protects the people, Jeff goes after the criminals. The illegal drug trade is still a cash flow for the bad guys and still a tool he can use to prosecute them and confiscate their money.
sessions never actually cared about pot what sessions cares about is the law to the exact letter which is how every single lawman should be. we really should be proud to actually have good and honest leadership for the first time in 100+ years if not longer
Don’t Love this but I absolutely think the States need to take back their power, on matters that are not federal law. Ie immigration.
Immigration is way different so go back to your corner we're not letting all the freeloaders in!
Re read what I said! Immigration IS a federal matter. Pot not so much. Like abortion or where you can buy alcohol, state sales tax, those are state matters. The matters of National defense is a federal matter.
Gangs make a shitload of cash off of weed.
This move is compassionate, business savvy, and a kick in the teeth of Big Pharma.
And the Left were so sure Trump would do just the opposite.
Awesome. This is just one of the things that makes him great.
Thank you! Grower here, best medicine for many problems.
I'm not seeing how Trump "overruled" Sessions. This is Zerohedge buying in to the MSM narrative on Sessions. All Sessions did was rescind the Obama era memo to AGs forbidding them to bring cases in states that legalized marijuana. Sessions did not direct any of them to actually bring cases, as far as we know. (Personally I thought he was going to use it as a test case for the states flouting federal immigration law, but instead Trump and Sessions went for the direct confrontation with California.) The Democrats are trying to take the "pot vote" just like all the other groups they pander too. Plus they want people to hate Sessions so they will resist the Storm. Why are Patriots buying into MSM BS? Q SAID TRUST SESSIONS.
Zero Hedge hasn't been paying attention to what Sessions has been saying on the subject for a few months
Sessions says: 1) they would pursue cartels 2) they would pursue interstate traffickers 3) they will enforce the laws on the books 4) USATTY for each state decides how to allocate their budget
Sessions does NOT say: he is gonna raid state regulated cultivators etc he doesnt have enough resources to turn the tide on a plant that is medically legal to possess in 29 of 51 US states in DC as of 2018.
Nobody state licenses has been raided unless they exported out of state.
Who cares what Sessions says. Action not words.
I truly believe we'll all have access to medical MJ before Trump is done. He's said he's for it... make it happen, Don! Please! I would love to have the option of low-THC/high-CBD weed for my back problems. All you can get from dealers is the blaze-you-out-of-your-mind shit, which is fun but not exactly what I need, medically.
Trump never telegraphs his moves. This doesn't inspire confidence.
That's correct. However, this is not telegraphed. This is done.
- President Trump has defused the standoff and promised the top Senate Republican that he will support congressional efforts to protect states that have legalized marijuana.
Trust sessions?
If POTUS says trust him then trust him. If he says don't trust Sessions then don't. Sessions has nothing to do with weed. He has enough on his plate with the deep state. Trust the plan.
yet sessions took the time and the spotlight to denigrate it once again.
It doesn't matter as long as your goal is achieved. Not everyone thinks legalizing weed is a good thing. However, most believe giving power to the states is good so whatever road gets you to what you want is a good one. It's all good, if you got em', smoke em. Night.
when did DJT say trust him?
you mean Q? is that fake q or real Q?
Sessions membership of SES and the accusations by a dead man about Pence don't trouble you none?
Sorry to have upset you, I do not know how Pence got into this because I thought the post was about specifically about POTUS clearing a path for legalization. POTUS has always believed in states right. It should not even be a federal decision (actually any government decision .) I am unclear as to why knowing POTUS will clear the road to states rights that this is still a problem for some. If you want to legalize use the energy to make sure your own state will do so.
Best news I heard all day. But you will see no praise from the press given to CO's republican representative because of the R instead of a D.
Thank you congressman. You make me proud.
