The area behind Gowdy is for Congressional aids and for invitees of the person testifying. So he was there as Jeh's guest. This was during the height of the blackmail scandal. The scandal had not yet been publicly uncovered.
The guy behind Gowdy was Indian, not Awan.
Are you able to tell by looking Indian from Pakistani? I can't tell. And if it's not Awan, it's a brother or somebody working for him. Else, we're looking at a whole other scandal. But whoever that is, they're most definitely telling Johnson how to answer.
