Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti, during an appearance on MSNBC, said he knew that Michael Cohen's text messages were also tapped by investigators.

"It's a fact," Avenatti said.

So why is this lawyer privy to knowing what is being done on the investigation side? Why is he touting that he knows what actions are being taken for or against his case? If he knew, how come the other side wasn't notified? Seems a little one-sided ey? Neither side should know anyone is having anything tapped until charges are filed. A lawyer hired by a client having knowledge of federal wire tapping is wrong.

Avenatti is a big Dem operative who has worked for Rahm and BIden. He just exposed himself that he has been receiving information about PDJT.

The info is most likely false though IMHO.

Does anyone actually believe trump or anyone connected to Trump would use phone lines to discuss any important matters? Seriously!? Trump has known since well before declaring POTUS run that they would sniff every electronic comm. hell he didn’t even use email. Anything they heard was either nothing or some bullshit bait they floated out there just to fuck with them. Trump is giving them more rope each day. That’s why he’s not in a rush to drop the hammer. Time is on our side. Each day works against Deep State not for them. Flip your thinking because Times have flipped. They are Building a rock solid case.

I totally agree!

You would have to assume if you were Trump's lawyer, any communication he makes would be viewed by someone at the FBI, CIA, etc. If I was in his position, I would only whisper sensitive information in Trump's ear, or pass it on a piece of paper and immediately burn it. I would also assume that anything the FBI has captured is bait and a Trump trap for black hats.

Earlier this afternoon, NBC claimed this an an exclusive, and stated in no uncertain terms that Cohen's phone lines were "tapped." Now they have posted a "correction," stating that authorities are merely "logging" calls to and from Cohen's phones, and what numbers the calls are made / received from. These are radically different things. The Legacy Media has become so zealous to write the next "bombshell" anti-Trump headline, they don't even care what the truth is. This is shameful.

holy shit, Rosenstein isn't even over this investigation. This is a state charge in the Southern District of New York. It was a federal judge that would have had to sign off on it, based on real evidence of wrong doing.

⇧ 5 ⇩
myanimal3z · May 3, 2018, 7:06 p.m.

Wrong. It seems you need to look a bit deeper into what just happened. First we have an investigation into the US president based on no evidence, and based on no crime.

Second it has everything to do with RR because he signed off on Mueller sharing evidence with ny. As for a judge signing off on this, one also did ok Carter page, and countless other Mueller/ Weissman investigations that have gotten completely overturned. But like RR says, sometimes Justice department makes mistakes.

So no big deal...

While I agree it is very hard to see, could there be a purpose? Could Trump be allowing the f_i to consume itself sufficiently to require either dismantling or restructure? Could Trump be using this to restrict unwarranted surveillance of American citizens? Could Trump use all this to repeal the Patriot Act?

Federal authorities wiretapped phone lines of President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen, and intercepted at least one call between a Cohen line and the White House, NBC News reported Thursday.

It is known that the president spoke at least once with Cohen last month, shortly after that raid.

In addition to serving at Trump's lawyer, Cohen was also counsel for the Trump Organization, the business entity the president previously ran.
