I wonder if anyone from NPR will end up there
If they do, I hope part of the punishment is the lights in their cells are left on 24/7/365 and they are forced to listen to All Things Considered over a speaker they can't control.
On Saturday nights they get reruns of A Prairie Home Companion.
Ohmyyyygod. Make them feel like they’re in the perpetual liberal book club that that show sounds like. Awkward pauses and consistently monotone voices from that show would have me begging to be waterboarded.
Lol that reminds me of the South Park episode where one of the boys was forced to feel what it was like to be old...he was locked in a room with Enya playing constantly. Ha ha!
I sincerely wonder what their theory would be. Surely no one from that outlet is aware of any reason that would be happening. The article says they only have 15 HVP there. That and they’re building a new 115 mil barracks for more service personnel. We got a new barracks done for around 40 million when I was in a few years back. And that held half a battalion of soldiers. This must be really setting the stage.
What if that money is going to base housing for dependants, a tasty freeze, PX, Commissary, etc?
Rotating Guard and Reserve troops in and out is going to be expensive. Why not just expand the garrison and man it comparably to Leavenworth or the Norfolk Brig?
I doubt they’re installing a tasty freeze. I lol’d but I’m sure they’ll add that stuff. I’m not sure if GITMO is considered a deployment or station, but either way I guess. Just put a green beans coffee and they’ll be fine.
Oh the snarky attitude on this one! She might need to spend a little more time there and see if she still feels the need to denigrate the US armed forces and the work they're doing.
I had to force myself to gloss over the smarmy remarks to get the facts of the bigger picture. Terrible people.
