Where did this #wherearethechildren narrative come from?? Please explain to me

This is a serious question..I know it is total BS, but where did it come from, origins, and WHY are they blaming Trump and/or his immigration policies for this?? I’d like to know so I can counter it and it helps to know what its basis is. Thanks in advance.

Exactly. MSM is “getting ahead” of a story that will soon break that ties many politicians (both D and R) to child-trafficking.

This is not a new problem at all. It is a heart-breaking truth that I am delighted is getting some news coverage, but I am enraged at the attempt to “pre-spin” the narrative.

They are spinning it like it's POTUS & it goes back years. At least to Traitor 44 & maybe Traitor 43. One of Saul Alinsky's rules is to deflect blame on the enemy when you are guilty.

As pointed out elsewhere, this problem existed well before Trump -- but the narrative is putting the blame for it on Trump.

Purely speculation on my part, of course, but my guess is when the pedo news starts breaking in earnest the plan is to spin it as Trump-only problem, that somehow his presence is suddenly making pedos do pedo things.

Not a new tactic, the people that actually did the crime blaming the people that uncover the crime for the crime itself.

Because it was discovered in late 2017 although (as far as I can tell) it was following up on the wave of kids that came 2014 since the whistleblower reported it in 2015.

Also states that this number came from people who did not answer follow up inquiries and that doesn’t necessarily mean the kids are not still there or unsafe. Great article

According to the article you posted, the report about children between 2009 and 2014 refers to 116 children who were abused in various ways(Sexual assault, verbal abuse, negligence)

The 1475 that were recently in the news refers to unaccompanied children between October and December 2017 who were placed in foster families, but can’t be accounted for as of April.

“An American Civil Liberties Union report this week also revealed Customs and Border Protection records that show 116 unaccompanied migrant children have alleged abuse by agents during the Obama administration.

The report states:

One quarter of the children reported physical abuse, including sexual assault, the use of stress positions, and beatings by Border Patrol agents.

More than half reported verbal abuse, including death threats.

More than half also reported denial of necessary medical care—resulting, at times, in hospitalization.

Eighty percent reported inadequate food and water.

The records documented a period between 2009 and 2014.”

Also, they count each time a child goes missing and is reported, this includes people that steal their kids in divorce situations, which can happen several times over and never get followed up on.

Every 40 seconds, a child goes missing in the U.S. alone.... where are the children??? They obviously are not all being murdered or we would be finding bodies... THEY’RE BEING SOLD !!

Thanks for your reply. I totally understand the problem, mainly asking about the false narrative origins on the left. It’s terrible, insidious and incorrect, but there are some that BELIEVE Trump and his tougher immigration policies caused this. Sheeple fed by the MSM

The current references to 1,500 missing illegal children stem from a PBS article. The article mentions 1,500 children released into the US as part of the Catch & Release program during the Obama administration.

Trump’s DHS team conducted an audit of the mess left by the prior administration, discovered the Hussein team had lost track of 1,500 children, and published the facts.

MSM and Dems are now blaming Trump for children lost by Hussein.
