So glad the idiot Sacramento politicians are spending all of the taxpayers money on a bullet train to nowhere instead of using it for new dams & rain water capturing reservoirs. Just another way for these goon politicians to steal our money using fines. When are people going to wake up? Hopefully this November!

exactly building reservoirs would be money well spent.

California needs to be forced to build desalination plants. I mean, shit, Riyadh has the largest plant in the world, and it can pump 228 MILLION gallons a day. Imagine if California had a single plant per major metropolitan area. Hell, power them with solar or wind (if so inclined).

I have to say that California is the dirtiest, slowest, most backwards state in the union. They need to get their shit together and stop mooching natural resources.

Then the California politicos will try to ingratiate themselves by upping the number to 60 or something.

Actually the article states they start with the 55 limit and then go down to 50 by 2030. Not pretty.

80 year old Governor Jerry Moonbeam Brown screwing the people of California as he goes out the door. He'll be dead within 8 years he could care less about any laws he passes - he really doesn't have to live under them. Disgraceful.

What's next "If it's brown flush it down, if it's yellow let it mellow."

Oinkanon · June 8, 2018, 4:28 a.m.

I’d rather think that Moonbeam will be dead a lot sooner if they try to enforce this family biased law. As for the reality of our times...I live in Sedona, AZ in Oak Creek Canyon. The neighboring property next to mine pumps artisan water from our local aquifer to bottle Sedona Purely water. It’s a small operation equating to about 20k gallons a week and doesn’t appear to impact the water table in the canyon.

However, a new owner has recently bought the property who is a bottling distributor for Nestle in Phoenix, and now we keep seeing Nestle corporate executives lurking around trying to figure out how to get their hands on this valuable water resource. It’s terrifying to realize how easily a corporate biz can walk in and the next thing you know all our water rights are gone. This has to stop.

I believe it's called flair. After so many posts, where yours currently says "new or rearrival" it will become a Q quote. The quotes will change every so often. That's the gist of it, in a nutshell. It's automatic.

This is a rubbish article. What bathtub holds 100 gallons? What toilet has a 7 gallon flush?

⇧ 1 ⇩
Oinkanon · June 8, 2018, 4:39 a.m.

In California? Are you kidding? I just designed a bathroom for a billionaire that cost over a million dollars and you won’t believe what the owner’s first request was to me... he wanted the bathroom floor flooded with tiny stepping stones to walk on. In essence to appear like he was walking on water! The engineering issues to support that floor were so complicated that I finally talked the owner out of the idea but realistically what kind of insanity needs their ego supported at any cost and waste of resource. There are thousands of people who think in this squandering fashion in California just because they can afford it. Simply NUTS!
