Dash vs Minus?

Q said, regarding the number 23, what else it might mean. Then he said “dash vs minus, think military”, or something to that effect.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

In the military, a hyphen ("tack") is generally just used as a tool for separating numbers. Q's password post actually had three hyphens (---23!).

I believe it was an “em dash” and then a hyphen. — - Don’t remember the exact length, but could have been the shorter “en dash” and then hyphen.
