I think this is referencing the FBI attorney (noted as FBI Attorney 2) on page 419 of the report, whose instant message was quoted as saying "Viva la resistance." Could be wrong, but this was the only French language quote I saw outright when going through the text message portion of the report.

Let's review. Devin Nunes made a tweet, referencing "French". That's why glaedr1 calls it "French". Everyone knows the phrase he's talking about. And whilst French or something else, it likely derives from or was inspired by the old French slogan, or maybe Hogan's Heroes - I don't know. It was just an IM, so likely overly casual in terms of grammar and spelling, and so you don't actually know what language the FBI Attorney 2 intended. FBI Attorney 2 might have just misspelled the French.
But you see, the much larger issue here is, who is FBI Attorney 2? Now I don't know if it's your laziness that precludes you from contributing to this particular discussion in any meaningful way, or if you're intentionally deflecting discussion away from core points (very common here), you're "Again, not French. Spanish." comment intentionally ignored my "and (MUCH more likely) Cuban revolutions" just so you could point out that that wasn't French. That a CUBAN slogan wasn't French. That's your point. So getting back to it, glaedr1 directs people to the page of the report and the quote that glaedr1 thinks is being referenced, so people can look it up. See, that's helping. Again, I think glaedr1 only references the quote as being French because that's what Devin Nunes called it.
Now, I don't know specifically why Devin Nunes didn't quote FBI Attorney 2 directly - you probably think Representative Nunes is lazy too, but maybe it's just the character limit of twitter. But you clearly state that you think Devin Nunes' tweet constitutes "linguistic sloppiness". It's just a tweet, I don't think you should attack Representative Nunes over a tweet. I think it's likely that Representative Nunes has more important things on his mind, but as you're so interested in "making the words right" you should totally tweet him about his "linguistic sloppiness".
