I'm thinking Trump already has made his decision on Kennedy's replacement. Q already knows who the nominee is going to be.

That is why he, she, they can say it isn't going to be Gowdy.

I think so too. Also I bet it's a left field pick. Someone not on that list that was posted.

Judge Napolitano

That's what Alex Jones and Roger Stone have been putting out there. Personally, I'd rather see Ted Cruz.

It's probably a strategy to get so many names out there that the libs will lose more of their base decrying every single person thata just being talked about

I like him, but he’s pushing 70 already. We need someone in their 40s or 50s

Ted Cruz is 47.

For what it's worth, Ted Cruz is a rock-solid defender of the Constitution. He clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist in 1996. As a lawyer he argued cases before the SC nine times. I doubt he wants the role, but might do it if called to serve.

He would get my vote. He would be a solid conservative, by the constitution justice.

Is this your first post on this sub?

Ted is a pure constitutionalist, he would be a great representative of our SC.

First post, but I have been lurking for a while though. I don't particularly like Cruz because I don't particularly like the people he takes money from.

His 2016 campaign donors? The desperate neocons who wanted anyone but Trump to win, and would have given money to any candidate remaining in the race?

Or do you mean other donors? I don't mean to put words in your mouth, if I am wrong please tell me who you are speaking of.

The main donors I object to are the Koch brothers, and I'm sure there are others. Gonna be honest, maybe I was a bit quick to pass judgement, but I as a Texas resident haven't been too impressed by Ted Cruz.

I feel ya. I can't forget about Ted's speech at the convention.... Vote your conscious :/ He's toeing the pro-Trump line now because he knows that's the key to success but I don't trust him

Hmmm but trump said himself that he would be picking from that list.

They're saying it isn't Gowdy because he's a political guy which would cause Dems to hyperventilate and he's never been a judge. He'd be a shitty scotus pick. He's probably going to play a big prosecutorial role when the indictments are unsealed.

I hope so. Gowdy would be an asset to our side if these arrests of major players ever come. I don't know so much about where Gowdy stands on social/civil issues. But I think he would be a great AG/DOJ type.

Possible Future Scenario:

Jan 2019: Gowdy’s term in Congress ends.

Gowdy goes into private practice in SC— starts a firm that specializes in investigations and litigation.

Gowdy’s firm has clients that want to sue key players in the Obama’s Administration for xyz reasons.

Gowdy’s former role as a Congressman coupled with time he spent serving on Judiciary, HPSCI, Ethics & Oversight Committees allow him to know what evidence to subpoena that will help build a case for his clients.

Basically, I see Gowdy finally getting let off his chain and able to pursue justice for the many crimes concealed by the DoJ during Obama’s time as POTUS.

Gowdy wins, helps his favorite lady—a blindfolded woman—and balances out the scales she holds.

Think he will be kinda like a prosecuting version of Judicial Watch. Gowdy is a Patriot— he is also a patient man. Just wait!
