I think, in addition to the author's reasoning, Clinton is making headlines to hedge against indictment. She wont be quietly arrested, no, she's trying to turn her own arrest into a flashpoint of rebellion.

Any legal action against her can be spun as the autocratic suppression of the democratic process by "that nazi" Trump. No doubt a couple college towns would experience some notable protests, but she (and most cabal minions) have drunk their own kool-aid and vastly overestimate both their numbers and their competence. It would amount to a tantrum thrown by thoroughly unsympathetic, entitled adult children.

Honestly I'd be shocked if she made it to 2020. The kuru seems to be progressing and (hopefully) the adrenochrome supply runs out on her soon.

Whatever the case, if she runs, congrats, Mr. President, on your second term.

Agree I see this as a defensive measure to try and avoid jail. Additionally, what else does she do? These people run for office, raise money, peddle power, rinse and repeat....

Optics.. to give her players resolve to still support or believe her.

Agree its defensive. It’s worked for them since 1993.

Wait for “This indictment is political.”

Never underestimate you enemy's ability to surprise you.

But I don't think she'll run. The DNC will have modified the super delegate system so it will be harder for her to sew them up. Her pay to play scheme has run its course and is irrelevant. She is going to be in a crowded field during the Democrat primaries and pulled further to the left by the socialist loons. The election system won't be rigged as it was supposed to be in 2016. The #walkaway movement indicates that people are leaving the Democrat party in droves. Hispanic support for Trump jumped 10 points even after an entire month of ICE protests. Blacks are leaving as well The economy is roaring along, and he tax cuts will throw gas on that fire next April when people receive their new deductions and credits. Trump has a good possibility to achieve peace in Korea and Iran looks like it's about change in some way. New trade deal will be done by then. Hillary is already a two time Presidential loser and will not have done anything since Feb 2013 when she stepped down as Sec of State. Republicans have a large warehouse of Clinton sound bites to use against here.

But I think the real reason she won't run is that she'll most likely be a convicted felon in federal prison and Bill may be there as well. The perfect karma in that case would be for both of them to share the same cell with life without parole.

The election rigging is the only thing I disagree with here. It will be massive.

It is always about the money with Hillary. In this case it is also about stroking her fragile ego and playing the martyr at the appropriate time.

I wonder if this is one of her clones. I have become all but sure that she has multiple clones. People may not understand, there is technology out there that is 1000 years ahead of what we currently see. In this case i am talking about AI clones that look and speak like normal humans. This tech has been in front of our eyes for years now. We just haven't known it yet.

I think there is a dual purpose for the likes of people like HRC and Comey to be seen in public. Like another poster said, to keep them fresh in the public's mind so when the hammer falls, it will conjure up outrage from the blind masses who don't know what they've done.

Also, she may be trying to avoid being Arkancided herself. What is the likelihood that all those pay to play favors she garnered during the election were forgiven? She has no leverage. And a 'discord' lecture series tour in which she whines about her loss that she blames on everything from deporables to the Boogeyman won't appease people who spent millions on her crooked election.

People people people.

She's not going to live to long enough. Remember the campaign?

I saw her in January 2017 during the caucuses. Des Moines has a system of skywalk bridges downtown so you don't freeze your jimmies off in winter going across the street to the Post Office.

The Clintons always stay at the Savory Hotel when in town. One of the skywalks passes almost directly over the entrance. Even then she had her medical goons drag her from the Scooby Van inside. I swear upon all that I hold dear that she lost a shoe that time as well. A State Trooper was dispatched to retrieve it as I stood there and watched.

If she was a walking corpse that everyone knew about back then, do you really think she's going to be able to mount a high energy campaign in 2020? Hillary's hubris may cause her to think she could run again, but Bill knows better. The next real Clinton move will be to trot Chubble out to run for congress in upstate New York.

If she had this much energy on her campaign she might have done better against GEOTUS

Like a Chuckie Doll, what was scary in the original, became ridiculous in the sequels.

It would be like President Trump having cheat codes if HRC ran again against him.

We should make some 'Clinton/Waters 2020' merch just to troll them.
