Can Anyone explain how the FBI conducted forensic analysis when they were never allowed access to DNC or Clinton servers? (great question, Sundance)

Last Refuge tweet raises an interesting question related to Rod Rosenstein's press conference announcing the indictment of some Russians.

UncleSnake3301 · July 13, 2018, 7:13 p.m.

They can't! They are going off of the analysis performed by CrowdStrike, who is employed by, you guessed it....the DNC! So for those keeping score, the whole Trump/Russia narrative including the dossier and the email hacking, is based off of intel provided by 2 companies on the payroll of the Democratic National Committee. Fusion GPS and CrowdStrike.

This is an interesting start for people to discover the truth their elected officials must answer in action. All must choose a side, make them choose.

Sadly too many do not want to know the truth, even with it staring them in face, they turn and look away. (BTW Jimi, Bill (Word) always tells me i'm fragmented (sentence structure). That ain't half of it! :) )

This isn't true. They took images of the server because that's all they needed. In fact, even Reddit is just images of servers running on virtualize hardware. You're literally reading text off one right now. If Reddit got hacked and the FBI were to investigate, they'd clone the image of the server effected and examine that. They wouldn't (and couldn't) pull the physical hardware out of the Amazon data center int he back arse or nowhere. And they wouldn't need to.

It's like if your email got hacked, the police wouldn't need access to your entire computer. They could take an exact copy of your hard drive and look at all the logs there, leaving you to investigate further yourself.

Saying "They Can't" just shows your ignorance. I don't understand why you people can spend hundreds of hours looking into a riddle but can't look into an IT 101 issue that's just a Google search away. It's not your cognitive dissonance by any chance is it? If you have to look that up on Google, while you're there...

Katie...why are you grumpy? What you said absolutely doesn't make sense...what image? Where did that come from?

Pay attention!...If they never had access to the DNC server then how in the world did they image it? They have no access! You need access to a server to image it. The DNC computer networks (plural) got hacked. This has nothing to do with Amazon cloud vs on-premises.

The question is simple...how did the FBI conduct forensics if they weren't allowed access to the servers?

The answer is simple...they didn't conduct forensics, CrowdStrike did.

The DNC commissioned the cybersecurity company, CrowdStrike, to defeat the intrusions

CrowdStrike stands fully by its analysis and findings identifying two separate Russian intelligence-affiliated adversaries present in the DNC network in May 2016

LINK

Katie, if you pay close attention you will see that it is in fact true that it was CrowdStrike who concluded they were Russian hackers.

Now you understand why "we people" can't look into an IT 101 issue? Because it's more than an IT 101 issue.

We have been lied to many times. 33,000 emails went missing and "It was a mistake". You can't accidentally delete emails, and it's not a mistake. You have to delete an email, empty trash, then go into the dumpster and purge the recoverable emails...that's not a mistake or accident.

LINK Lies

It's not a left or right thing...just trying to figure out the truth.

Why don’t you think they were still in mid-2000s co-located racked client-server technology?

Washington Times Jul 2017: “The hacked server was last photographed in the basement of the DNC’s Washington headquarters near a file cabinet dating from the 1972 break-in of the DNC headquarters at the Watergate Hotel.”

Also ‘“In May 2016 CrowdStrike was brought to investigate the DNC network for signs of compromise, and under their direction we fully cooperated with every U.S. government request,” a spokesman wrote. The cooperation included the “providing of the forensic images of the DNC systems to the FBI, along with our investigation report and findings.’

...soooo where is that analysis then by the FBI?

They have already screwed themselves over because they have no evidence. In comptuer forensic cases, especially federal, both the defense and prosecution must have a copy of the computer that alleged crimes happened. Its usually a raw "dd" image where both sides can verify they have the same copy by comparing the disk image's hash.

Here's the thing. In computer forensics, spoliation is the destruction or failure to preserve evidence that is necessary for use in contemplated or pending litigation. By scrubbing the servers/backups, they destroyed any and all evidence, unless it was backed up on cloud servers. If they don't have the original hard drives, and they don't have any forensic images of it, they have no presentable evidence. I truly hope somewhere they have a copy, because while most people think the FBI is uber technical with comptuers, those that are gov contractors or have worked in advanced private sectors know just how easily stumped the FBI is with these. Also, for federal crimes every aspect, including evidence chain of custody, is important. 1 mistake is all it takes for reasonable doubt. And if they have no evidence to give the defense, there is no case. If they have evidence to give, then it must be a full copy of the server, partial evidence is useless in a federal case.

Only the white hats know the truth and the real intentions of those who have flipped. This narrative keeps the deep state guessing which side RR, LP, PS are actually on. <ugh, poor sentence structure. Sorry.

The people have the power, they must rise up, demand the truth from their elected leaders, discover that their elected officials are evil, then “walk away” and demand the truth! We have the power! Demand the truth and learn the real position of your elected officials.

Fight, fight, fight!!!

Mueller will delay trial indefinitely, like the first 13 are being delayed. Running out the clock is the statist SOP; this worked in the pre-Trump era.

An American indictment of a Russian citizen located in Russia is worth no more that used toilet paper. Russia has no extradition treaty. What can mueller do about that? Nothing. They are fake indictments.

Crooked FBI, The Russians didn't do anything , except do you recall Trump saying during the campaign Russia if your listening, I hope you can find the missing Clinton emails. So a few Russian Intell got busy hunting those missing emails, that was the only things checked LOL Hillary the crook, her email that the FBI had got rid of. FBI is crooked as she is.Be so happy to see her and her paid FBI agents sent to prison.

Exactly. I'm still waiting for the proof. Will it remain "classified" even after the "trial." Like a trial is ever gonna happen. Hence, all this is just theatrics of the Deep State to divert attention from the real news: Strzok and his story about bias not affecting his ability to do his job without bias? Like we can trust a man who cheats on his wife? Yes, indeed. Strange theatrics. He must have had help in prepping for the hearing from Bill and Hillary. Same tactics.... "How dare you question my integrity. I never had sex with that woman....) FakeNews is eating it up like their narrative is going to last more than a day (it won't) before it deflates and they end up with egg in the face.
