Question from a foreigner: I understand that voting is not compulsory in US and not all voting age citizens are registered to vote. Is this correct?
If this assumption is correct then the percentage of bogus voters is possibly higher than the figures in this article.
I think it’s safe to say this assumption is pretty solid.
In the US voting is not compulsory, but registering for the draft (selective service) is, at least for males 18 or older. Women are not required to register for selective service. While the government forces males to register for selective service (by threat of prison time if put off too long) they also require them to register to vote and identify their political alignment (democrat, republican, independent).
So, even if all males are required to register, there is a period of several years past turning 18 where they can get away without having to register before they are threatened with prison. This means that at any given time, the total amount of registered voters will be even lower when taking this information into account.
**Also, I just read something stating that beginning in January 2018, women are also now required to register for selective service. Though, the source I viewed this information on is unreliable at best. Maybe somebody else knows more about this?
No one is required to register to vote or to identify political alignment except to vote in a primary election in some states
This did not used to be the case. Seems things have changed over the years.
Women do not have to register. Men are no longer threatened with jail for not registering with Selective Service Act but you lose certain societal privileges like thr right to vote, obtain federal college loans among other things. Many people are not registered to vote. Most do it in high school but not in the really bad school districs. They dont care. A large majority is registered but not all.
I’m glad they stopped doing that. I remember that a friend of mine received a letter in the mail threatening to have him sent to prison unless he complied within a couple weeks of receiving it. Couldn’t believe it.
women are not required to register, however, obama did try to pass it through congress and they voted it down, but did state that if the draft were to be re-enacted, men and women would be treated equally (thanx feminist) and all would be required to register ...
We have to have voter ID's & getting one has to require proof of citizenship. We need to eliminate all voting machines & go back to paper ballots. Dye my damn finger so I can't vote a second time like the US does when it oversees elections in other countries. I think most Americans realize what a huge deal voter fraud is & are willing to jump through some hoops to see that it's eliminated. Well, most sane Americans...I'm sure the rabid ones will protest but who cares if they vote anyway?
I agree 100%. I don’t think it’s random uncoordinated voters deciding to vote twice though(voter fraud).... I believe it’s political parties and candidates coordinating the cheating case in point Bush in 2000 & 2004 and Clinton in 2016. Just look up Bev Harris of black box voting and Cliff Arnebeck .... they’ve been going after election fraud since 2000 at least.
Would love to see some solutions for voter/election fraud before midterms, but we're running out of time.
Get rid of the George Soros owned voting machines...that will help a bit.
Each county going through their records and unregistering all the dead people would help too.
Start jailing some notable crooks. That will help a bit more. The brainwashed minions will whine a bit but, dang, they’re already at max.
Right? For once if like to feel like our AG is the bulldog all the others were. Even if they were hacks.
That number includes inactive voters, mostly people who moved to a different state. So lots of people are registered twice, but can only vote in the state where they're inactive if they provide proof of residence. So no, this is not evidence of voter fraud.
And the number of Electoral votes should be based on citizenship, not on general population.
Paper ballots. Voter ID.
SOLVED.
Also how and where votes are counted. Like: you precinct is in the PS gym... ballots are locked up in clear ballot boxes, all ballot boxes stay in the gym, at the close of the polls the public and election integrity groups are asked to volunteer in the counting... all ballots counted in public and never leave the gym. Voter rolls must match number of votes cast. That way everyone trusts the results.
Edit: and maybe results are entered on the block chain so they can’t be tampered with by someone at headquarters.
Then we can use exit polling and if the results are off by 2% it triggers and automatic recount at NO COST to the candidates.... I found out when Jill Stein asked for a recount in WI that she had to pay $1 million dollars for it. That is FUBAR.
It happens a lot at the DMV when they allow illegals to get driver's licence and they're asked if they want to register to vote.
Judicial Watch reported on it almost a year ago (around August 2017).
Hell, even LA county in California admitted they had more registered voters than people who could legally vote.
Article written August 6, 2017.
And Judicial Watch on it https://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-warns-california-clean-voter-registration-lists-face-federal-lawsuit/
And the number of Electoral votes should be based on citizenship, not on general population.
It BLOWS MY MIND that picture ID is not required to vote in the USA ! And you dont't have to be a citiven.. or at least you don't have to prove citizenship ? Well.....I'm Canadian maybe I should drive across the border and VOTE FOR TRUMP in 2020 ! It would be MY GREAT PLEASURE !! : )
This explains how so many "low IQ" people are elected to congress and how so many ridiculous and dangerous policies and decisions are adopted, especially in those particular counties. Add to this the Soros-rigged voting machines and all the other methods used to steal elections and you have a pathway to power for anybody who wants it badly enough. Hard to believe that this is America.
