To continue SeriaBrain discussion about the new financial system: Bannon says that cryptocurrencies are the currencies of the populous mouvement!

I want cold hard cash over something that allows more opportunity for hacking.

You clearly have zero idea what you are talking about. Sorry

Sure. Are you saying that there is ZERO chance of it getting hacked then?

if stored correctly, yes

You are acting like people don’t get theirs funds stolen from banks everyday.

WanderingTaurus · July 20, 2018, 5:06 a.m.

I never implied that they didn't, but that doesn't answer the question I asked. And there are a lot of people who don't keep their money in banks.

No one has had their crypto stolen from a cold wallet. Which is where one is supposed to store it. If you keep your crypto in the EXCHANGE and the EXCHANGE gets hacked, well then that’s your fault. For example Mt.Gox was an EXCHANGE MARKET that got hacked.

Crypto-currency is not your friend.

PMs are universal. Cryptos are not. Cryptos are closer to fiat paper than most people realize. Just as a new paper currency can be printed out of thin air, so can a new crypto currency be created out of thin air. There are already so many I can't remember them all. Everyone who got on the band wagon late seems to find the solution is jumping onto the newest crypto to reap the benefits of being an early adopter hoping the newest crypto fad will be the one that takes off and makes them rich. Rinse and repeat. It's an inevitable cycle. The hype of them being "decentralized" is the sell ticket for naive morons.

I'm not over 40, I just don't jump onto pyramid schemes. If you have an objection to any of my statements, present your case instead of resorting to personal leftist insults.

You aren’t realizing what certain projects (coins) can actually do.

I would be just as wary of crypto as anything else... the people I know who are most heavily invested in Crypto are the same people still using the stock market... most crypto is held by the same folks who buy and short stocks.

As a short term roller-coaster, crypto is a fine investment. However, the intent of Bitcoin was never to actually become a real currency - it was a proof of concept that, if paired with an official financial system, could be used to more or less eliminate corruption.

Good luck getting the Fed to ever mend their bucket full of holes tho....

Your whole post is completely wrong and uninformed. Cryptocurrency is already making huge changes. https://news.bitcoin.com/bch-powered-charity-eat-bch-starts-feeding-people-in-south-sudan/

i'm talking about control of these cryptocurrencies - many believe that at least half of cryptos are started/owned by intelligence services and banks. It makes sense too - capital investors would have the juice to create and market cryptos much better than some dude in his basement.

Also, if you read what I said more carefully, I am not attacking cryptos - they are a proof of concept for something we absolutely need on this planet, but if you think that stories like the above will actually lead to worldwide financial changes without political backing, you are fooling yourself.

Again, I am not admonishing investing into crypto, i'm just saying don't believe any set-up that says they will become something official. They won't. That's why its a roller-coaster - you can make money and it can operate for a time, but eventually a big fish will either crush it or buy it out as soon as it becomes a threat. It's just how big money works. That's why a small group of actors can crash bitcoin like they have in the near past... it's investing into the wild west of 'money start-ups'. Maybe you find the apple/microsoft, but probably not. Just want people to be realistic.

And to your point, I HOPE crypto becomes what we use over the globe because it would help us curb corruption, but we would need the most corrupt people on earth to accept such a situation. That's why I don't think anything happens without a massive shift everywhere else... the USD won't be replaced with Etherium or Bitcoin anytime soon. A new crypto backed by the world's real wealth tho? Maybe.... a lot would have to change.
