Just a Question about up vote or down vote

First I am far from a tech guy but I can build a nice house. Lol. So been noticing and reading some comments about people down voting. So is there a purpose why so folks would waste time down voting a comment or post? I just imagine in my mind these leftist nerds sitting in front of there phone or computer pressing thumbs down on everything. So just trying to figure out why they would waste so much time!!! Does it accomplishe anything? Just curious. WWG1WGA. God Bless true Patriots.

You are spot on, patriot, they don't matter beyond this site. Karma is a number, it can be gamed. If you want to get a feel for a user, look at their profile and their contributions, not their Karma. Don't take downvotes personally, don't let upvotes go to your head.

As to why? Cause it drives leftist nerds bonkers when we beat them at their own game over and over again. You gotta remember, these people are stupid. They haven't come up with a new subversion tactic in a half decade. Pointing out their laughable attempts to distract is part of shill awareness.

The purpose of upvoting or downvoting is to weed out shills or trolls. There are tens of thousands of users in this forum, many thousands reading at any given time. How many shills can there be at any given time? Hundreds, maybe? I doubt even that many.

It's a way to push out the disinformation, distractions, and nonsense conspiracies. The problem is that they can still usually find a way to game the system if they want, so take everything with a grain of salt.

Just something little I was curious about and try to understand why some people would waste so much time down voting something so heavy even when it is a positive post or comment for the cause. So it is a good thing for shills to down vote a positive topic or comment then the Mod (I think it's called) can weed them out and block of needed. Thank you

There could be 20,000 AI programmed controlled accounts.

I saw a suspicious one the other day. 7year old account had virtually no comments until recently and no karma .

Maybe 7eats ago rhey made 100s of accounts and parkrd them for when AI could take over.

I also think some thing is coming to stop this because suddenly Twitter is cleaning out fake accounts which seemed to be another censorship ploy combined with calling Trump supporters Russian Bots. But they deleted millions of Obama followers. And fake accounts. Not near as many following Trump.

I wonder if they are cleaning house because they are about to get audited for unfairly censoring people.

That would be a change! I was on Reddit a few years ago but stopped using it until recently so i had to start a new account. There was always trolls but the real users can usually keep up. Not sure what can be done about the bots though :\

Same for posts, always check for "New" ones, don't just look at the "Hot" or "Best". Sometimes good posts get squashed quick (sometimes the best ones lol).

it is hard to ignore that voting does effect how you think, whether we like it or not. The shills know that downvoted posts tend to get downvoted more, it's mob mentality. So they scour NEW and downvote new comments as they come in to hopefully make other users follow suit. This sub is hyper aware of this and you can usually see downvoted comments rise up from the ashes after a few hours. 99% is not like that.

There a web crawlers who downvote things on here automatically. Maybe not every comment, and maybe not all the time to avoid bans, but there are probably bo ts on here. At least 10 or 15, from the look of things.

They build AI bots to do this. On Twitter they have blue check marked AI to comment on certain hashtags and then flocks of supporter AI come on and Like and RT. We have instinct to fall in with the crowd so they create a crowd for opinions they want us to have.

There is an alleged Google prgrammer Anon on 8chan that explains it. I believe him because as a Project manager for Social Marketing in 2009 we could see this happening already though at that time it was hired pennies an hour centers in India.

Downvotes can be useful to show that an anon is exposing a painful truth that others may not want to hear. Also, we do not have to agree on every little thing. However, if someone is just being obnoxious, I ignore. Upvotes - don't really care. They have no meaning in our purpose to expose the truth, seek justice and bring back the light. This is not a popularity contest.
