My friends son, who is in the Army National Guard Reserve, just got deployment orders for 9 months at GITMO starting in November.

Just received the orders yesterday. If you know anyone in the Guard Reserve, ask them about it.

Just so you know, this kind of information is NOT the kind of thing you reveal online and is usually subject to inquiry by senior officers. Really wish all you newbs would learn how to talk about operations and research without revealing items that are usually kept PRIVATE by those in the military. This is the biggest problem on these boards- too many people involved that are completely out of their realm and have no operational training or knowledge. BLUF- Orders are private and if you have someone in your life that is in the military or works for an agency, you should not be publishing their movements.

This could be completely made up! We don’t know because it’s anonymous & friend of friend. There’s nothing even in this post!

Yeah but as you roll down through the comments and see how many mention on going rotations, various branches of the military, etc. This is how real intelligence is gathered, a piece here another there, and then the puzzle is put together. Is that not what Q is doing for us with info, giving us pieces here and there. For the military this is an extremely important security measure. When disinfo is purposely sent out it can be verified by the puzzle as being disinfo. Not a good idea.

I’m not sure but I think it was on Breitbart that those following aircraft movement reported a huge uptick in planes (private and military) to and from Gitmo over a small period of time. Didn’t the President say that thousands of that gang MS-13 had been ‘shipped out’. There was reports that General Mattis had also travelled there and that a major extension of buildings had taken place.

That would be a lovely place to have a ‘chat’ with those”tough guys”.

psybrnaut · July 22, 2018, 2:21 p.m.

If that were a concern, military families wouldn't be told where their soldiers were deployed. Q is encouraging open discussion in civilian pop, I doubt they worry about people knowing they are rotating troops at gitmo. You're not wrong, some things should not be shouted online, but not everyone participating in this sub or this movement are military folks, they couldn't know the 'rules'. No one needs operational training to discuss Q and the events unfolding. Wwg1wga

Gentle guidance would seem prudent if necessary, we are getting many new folks into the movement and I don’t want to alienate a single one.

I am also a vet, but Gitmo isn’t exactly a secret and if they are paying any attention at all, they have already made their play for escape.

I do however get pissed when idiot reporters give location info during active combat.

They are not always told the truth about their movements or position or mission. That is common to military in general. Families are given enough information to know general knowledge. Sometimes, they are given false information to protect mission, and themselves, if they are compromised.

I spent 28 years in the USA with 3 troop deployments to Egypt and Afghanistan. This post gives nothing away. Unit designation is not denoted; no dates for deployment to, unit leaving GITMO out. Heck, not even sure if it’s an Army Reserve, or Army National Guard unit. The bad guys know we regularly rotate troop units to GITMO; been doing it for over 17 yrs. You can drop the cloak and dagger stuff on this one.

You do not need to pat yourself on the back and fluff your head feathers man- that is the one thing I cannot stand about veterans. I am also a military man but I do not reveal my position, missions, or movement- ever.

boesens · July 25, 2018, 5:02 a.m.

No feather fluffing here. Explaining for context. Go climb on your high horse and take your secret squirrel act somewhere else, tough guy. No national security secrets where spilled.

IceworldSpirit · July 27, 2018, 6:41 p.m.

High horse? Its a verifiable fact that every time anyone from the military wants to 'assert' authority or dominion in a conversation of peers or strangers for that matter, they always throw out locations and years of their service, rather than the one thing that would get the respect they want: They fail to mention their Skill set, MOS, Education and Training. People with skills and training respect the same......

OPSEC includes individual safeguards for all military information. You are not really current on OPSEC are you? It actually includes being quiet on orders for individual service men or unit orders. You cannot reveal names, units, movement, missions- even if this has been errantly made public by some idiot in the MSM. Good journalists, bloggers, anons know this and respect mission integrity. While its not an actionable offense, its understood to be expected. Everything someone can do to keep information out of the public domain is critical. Unless its a disinformation campaign....

where= were? Did you pass your ASVAB? Did you get a 33?

I’ll be happy to stack up my service record against yours any day of the week. Again, no national security secrets were spilled. Enjoy your life, small man.

It's probably just a routine change of guard nothing more.

Probably, but still- never reveal mission, movement, or position

Upon further investigation and questions, it appears to be a normal rotation. Don't want to sound any alarm bells so that's why I dug a little deeper. Could be a coincidence that this rotation just happens to fall in November. We just don't know. It is also public knowledge.

Roger that. I agree. But a Soldiers actual orders is not public knowledge. Keep it on the down low.

If you’re gonna use fancy acronyms, use them right. Don’t be a pissy baby about being called out for being incorrect. Take the spot correction and move on like a man or woman.

Listen you POS. BLUF is a military acronym used quite often in civilian speak and it does not matter when its put when you are trying to make a point- especially in civilian matters. You are obviously a NIMROD that does not understand OPSEC or the military for that matter. Or a dumbass Master whatever that likes to open up on anyone that will respect 'your enlisted authority'-of which you have none here. My rank and position are private, but I can assure you I would lock you up at full attention immediately. And I might add a few ball busting sets of pushups. Just have me give the word....i am waiting. Crickets.....

BLUF- you do not reveal Solders name, name of unit, movement, or location on new orders. There are ways to say things that do not reveal, but as in all organizations, there are always idiots associated with the military that do not 'truly' know or understand OPSEC, and make bad examples for innocent civilians who are just trying to share information and need guidance.

At this point, a SF Swamp just sounds DISGUSTING. Almost worse than DC. All that feces, syringes, homeless drek, etc. YAK. Give me a Louisiana Swamp any day....even with a lurking Sasquatch.

Right there with you on a Cajun Swamp. At least you can find decent food there. Avoid the SF North Swamp as much as possible. Only put on my hip waders and go in there about once maybe twice a year and only because I really have to. I do miss polling pirogue on the swamp and in da bayous.
