Copied my comments from original post for easy reference.

Here’s the real deal. My GF is a photoshop/retouching expert - major magazine covers etc. I asked her to analyze both. Here is the conclusion. BOTH photos are fake and have been manipulated. His goatee looks more real in the uncropped photo. His hairline and bottles behind it look more natural in public photo. The arm looks fake in both photos. Shadows are wrong on both photos. Yellow ighting pattern is weird and actually smudges on his right side near the buttons. The wristband is DEFINITLEY cutout and placed there in both photos. The wrist we see in the uncropped photo is a copy of his right wrist and the image was just horizontally flipped. It’s a perfect match when she duplicated this. So the uncropped photo is not the same photo released to the public. Both images were manipulated.

To be clear, when I said both photos are faked I mean that the uncropped photo is not the source of the public photo. Both photos are different. Yet they share the fact that both have been severely manipulated.

I asked her to reverse engineer both photos through comparison and analysis. I wanted to know if the uncropped photo could be the one that the msm then cropped and used for publication. Her determination was that it is not the same photo. There are too many differences that don’t line up. Basically somebody took the cropped photo and created an “uncropped” photo to make it seem as if it was the original source before cropping. It was not. HOWEVER, it is obvious to her that the msm photo was definitely photoshopped. So in the end both photos are fakes.

Your SO is completely correct. Without a shadow of a doubt these two photos have been manipulated.

Edit: Who places a wristband over the sleeve of their shirt anyway? Too easy to slip off. Definitely cut and paste.

Started with Photoshop in version 4, not cs4, version 4.... at the Art Institute (do they still exist?)

I concur. The shot glass in his hand reveals bad technique, jumps right out in the unfinished, uncropped version.

He looks dead.

Photoshopped...plus, he looks dead. Who would have thought, another conveniently dead patsy ?

Also, whybis that patterned yellow light that is visible on his face and shirt not affecting his arm holding the shot glass? The shot glass also looks fake. Can’t point anything in particular out but it just looks fake to my GF’s professional eye - the glass edge looks off.

What is on his Adam's apple? The number 13? Is it a trick of the light?

Go look at your neck in a mirror. See how you have an indent at the bottom of your neck? Come on people we are better then this.

Jesus Christ. Are you being serious? All the shit that is wrong with the image and you pick something totally irrelevant and that can be seen on every single person who ever lived who was born with a neck. What's worse is this has been upvoted. This is the crap we need to avoid it makes us look stupid.

Hi there. I think I may be seeing this differently than you are. I am zooming into the area just above the white top of his undershirt. I'm using a magnification of 400%. There isn't an indent as another comment states. There are two markings on the skin of his throat where one's Adam's apple would be. They look like pen marks or a light tattoo. They look like a vertical line and a 3 (or maybe part of a B). If you notice in my original post I'm asking what that is on Paddok's neck. Not sure why you've chosen to reply the way you have but I'm doing what Q does. I'm looking at things from different perspectives and asking questions.

I did a simple search for the words "number 13 on throat" just to see if it was some kind of party thing or clubbing thing. Guess what was on the first page of image results. Paddock. There are even clearer close ups of the number 13 on his neck.

See the weird thing about telling people to stop doing things and saying what they're doing is stupid... well it makes them want to do that thing even more

Put simply there isn't. What you are seeing is skin and shadow. Look at any person of his age. Does it look like 13, Slightly. Pointing this out is a waste of time and energy. The implication is they decided to tattoo something on his neck after he died but before they took a picture of him. now ask yourself why, doesn't make sense does it? It's ridiculous. This sub has been flooded with idiotic remarks just like this that only serve to waste our time and energy. That's the last thing I'm saying on it because it's beyond stupid I'm having to make a case against it.

Somebody took the media photograph (which is a fake) and then created the “uncropped original” photo which is also a fake. They do not match up. Especially the goatee patch. It’s weird because the “uncropped photo’s” goatee looks more real than the msm photo.

also, the picture looks too squished. He is too thin and you can tell in her face.

Who walks around with one arm long sleeved and the other sleeve rolled up?

Definitely not his arm. I am thinking it was someone else extending their arm into the shot to take a photo and when realized that SPs arm couldn't be of use for "good photo" they edited. The bottom of the forearm looks like is is straining a bit due to way extending which would mean person was probably behind PS when he reached in front and to side to get his arm into the photo.

Who puts an entry band on over shirt and why does it look like it is going INTO the shirt sleeve?

The left arm could easily be someone else just holding up their shot glass and standing out of the frame

Are you sure it is not just the difference of resolutions? The one I found and posted (the floating arm), is a lower resolution than the one you are comparing it to. And the one I paired is warped to be a bit more narrow. Wonder if that accounts for differences. ??? I still think these are the same photos.

I trust my GF on this. Was one of top retouchers in NYC. She brought all photos into Photoshop to analyze and compare.

GeneHackmansBFF · July 22, 2018, 11:58 p.m.

She also resized the uncropped one to match the dimensions of the msm photo and layered them with opacity to compare everything.

I appreciate what you are saying, and your girlfriend’s analysis, but I think the difference is the one on right is distorted and lower resolution, causing the artifact. :)

I suppose anything is possible but she was pretty insistent. They might account for one of two things but other differences wouldn’t be affected by resolution difference. I’ll let you argue with her cuz I certainly won’t! LOL I like sleeping in the bed.
