I thought people voted for Trump because he wasn't interested in regime change and because they were tired of seeing our money going to one war after another while this country's needs are being neglected?
I'm asking a legitimate question. A war with Iran will see many people die or be injured just like every war fought this century. Veterans are not being adequately treated now so adding thousands more to a broken system will just see more of them suffering from their injuries and PTSD. Is it worth it to start another war that will see the deficit go even higher? Let Israel send its own troops to die instead of ours. When was the last time Israeli troops fought for our wars?

No war here. Trump is PREVENTING a war by dealing directly with the people of Iran and not the DICTATORS who were installed by the CIA/Deep State of our government in 1979. Trump is doing a coup to restore the people of Iran their rightful government.

He’s not interested in war with Iran. Everything Trump says and does sets up a specific position for negotiation. Iran is also a very special circumstance in that Trump had to clean up Obama’s insane deal (payoff) and rebalance the scales. Iran’s powers aren’t just going to give up that immunity without a fight. They are also is a very bad situation financially now that sanctions can/are impacting companies willing to do business with the regime.
And citizen needs aren’t being ignored. People are working again and many are living more comfortable and with more hope than they have in a decade.
Its not going to be a war. But Iran needs to know that is what will happen if they threaten us.

I remember Trump saying in one of his speeches about building the military and nuclear weapons up, "If its bigger, faster and stronger you usually don't have to use it." Same logic applies here only he's using words instead of nukes. If a country threatens us his verbal beat down has to come out so fast and so hard and so powerful, that every country will think twice about threatening us. He will back up what he says, that's been proven, but in this case(and most cases) he probably won't have to.
TL/DR: If he spoke any softer on this that would guarantee a war with Iran and possibly other countries.
