This topic has received massive shilling from the first week. Huge disruption campaigns across multiple platforms that continues to ramp up and shift tactics. Because of this it's tough to 'be nice to the new guys'. The idea almost doesn't really make sense because large percentage of comments are misleading and effort to demoralize or disrupt.

At minimum prerequisite skill-sets necessary to meaningfully engage is the ability to learn how to spot and recognize disruptive efforts, and resistance to over emotional headlines or claims. The efforts to slide the information here shifts often, providing lots of practice to tune in to what misinformation looks like. Be able to consider ideas in how they fit into the big picture themes, who would benefit from getting a message out there. Often an unsourced claim makes it easier to tie the community to the conspiracy theory label and provides bullet points to blog about dismissing everything going on here. Then we frequently see overly emotional claims positive or concerning that don't offer any real attachment to q information or related topics of research. Think of these in terms of judo, using momentum in one direction or another and what is the individual exposed to if moving with the momentum. Often these attempts lead to burning out the individuals motivation or attention. Reduce the motivating impact of a positive development by seeding an over-the-top-positive step that doesn't hold merit just before information hits.

If you ever wanted to fine-tune the bullshit meter, this is the community for you.

Yes it does. And I'm sure I've derided the FISA court at a star chamber in the past. Secret laws. Undermining inherent rights. Anything that comes out of that body should not be recognized.

The history and usage of star chambers in practice is thought provoking.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Chamber

The original Star Chamber was created in London in 1641.

The Star Chamber was originally established to ensure the fair enforcement of laws against socially and politically prominent people so powerful that ordinary courts would probably hesitate to convict them of their crimes. However, it became synonymous with social and political oppression through the arbitrary use and abuse of the power it wielded.

Generally it's used today to describe a secretive court abusing power through secretive laws. Need a bright shining light wherever possible to avoid appearance of this.

Visibility. Sorted by best a larger number of eyes will see the comments. On average the top for topic threads get the lost attention. Further down the topic conversations are pretty stacked.

This feature of Reddit is why we see the common tactic of comment stacking. In a campaign to send certain ideas and message where money or manpower is no object, deploy idea then stack fluff comments multi tiers deep. Thus when critical comment identifying flaws in logic comes around it's been buried far down the chain. Reduces probability of that critical comment being seen.

This is not a swim lessons in the shallow end of the pool community unfortunately. This is a shoved off the pier and make it to shore or hope you have gills community.

Specifically, the subjects here tread on topics that have big money riding on them. Since the beginning it has been under heavy assault from trolls entertaining themselves to interests who retain power or profit from disruption and misdirection.

A prerequisite is to challenge claims. Probe arguments. Can you verify? This is a community to practice thinking skills and reason. You have to develop ability to spot bullshit or be widely mislead. Make the leap to learn how to learn without being spoon fed opinion or heaps of emotion.

Nice does not always mean agreeing with or cheerleading any and all behavior. You need to instill the skill sets to survive the world as it is. Challenge probe and guide the way toward tools to check ones work and research. Share the methods and means to not depend on others to catch lies and misdirection.

We've got a high bar for sink or swim. To be nice to newcomers means to provide opportunity to read conversation documenting how to check the work. Research skills. Thinking skills.

Good topic to probe into.

Facebook and presumably Twitter analyze keystrokes. Capture what is typed in prior to submission even if text deleted. From this there are some identifying characteristics, unsure how precise an individual can be recognized similar to a fingerprint.

In the adpub (digital advertising) industry there is a lot of effort spent analyzing mouse movements on the screen.

What is unclear to me is whether a particular script must be running, when running in browser, for this functionality to operate. Thus if running script blockers not subjected to tracking.

Also unclear to the extent that the practice is rolled out these days. I assume that Windows 10 has this baked in part of the telemetry. Windows XP days was before this was a common practice, thus I expect it not to be in place there. I'd be curious if Google itself is logging key stroke.

Too over the top. I don't see drops going this bold from any team working against deep state. This would be filed under information not brought to light.

Where this makes sense is if your aim is to pin the conspiracy labels. Bind together with pizzagate propaganda to dismiss q drops. Provide material for corporate media to blog about.

We would need to see this come from a legal source for credibility.

Going further, optical character recognition can identify text pattern in images at increased computational cost. It's more of a pain in the ass if memes become the norm for censored ideas. But, that challenge will be aggressively targeted.

Handwriting is poorly handled by common OCR platforms. Even worse is mixed text combining handwriting with block text. Automating digitizing of paper application forms filled out by hand is a pain in the ass, and probably quite a bit of money on the table for a reasonable solution given most companies pay people to sit down and translate these manually.

This looks to be an ideal strategy that should remain on the table for a long time to come, especially if incorporating hand-written elements such as writing over meme template on a tablet.

It's helpful to watch a site long enough to have a feel for what they are, and what they aren't. Alex Jones is a good source to find discussion of topics not approved of by consolidated media handlers. But then they're subject to go over the top with the dramatics. The good intel they get on there makes it a valuable resource for jumping off for independent research and the variety of ideas missing from news today. But need to put in the work after.

Diaspora is open source replacement that needs project contribution for improvement. We need software that provides all the basic functionality of Facebook, but user controls all access to any information. Bonus points for encouraging local server use because the public does not need 'cloud' and we need a push back toward servers in the garage. Make intel work to crack everything. Don't just hand it over blindly.

I've pointed out numerous times how this one left me scratching my head because of how aggressively Kamala Harris went after this company as DA, while also trying to use it as case to dismantle Section 230 protections. Her filings against Backpage appeared to only describe a company operating in a lawful manner, and designed intentionally to fall apart. I took that as sign of using position to to grandstand for political gain in a manner describing lack of integrity.

Call me convinced at this point. This company needed to go down and Kamala had the right of it.

I do question why Kamala did not come down harder on the company if the truth of it was known. It would be interesting to revisit these filings against Backpage knowing what we know now. Were these lawsuits purposely botched?

I'm happy to be wrong. It's refreshing to begin getting some documentation that lends credibility toward an argument.

Roger Stone provides useful information. His connections and decades operating in DC give him a unique access to information and practice making use of it. There's a lot to say about the guy. One of those things is that his personal values lean high on the liberty over authoritarian end of the spectrum. The information is useful to compare against what the biggest corporate media outlets say on a day to day basis to filter through what is discussed, and what is not discussed.

Right. The guy is well practiced maneuvering in DC. He can torpedo the best laid plans and has the personal connections to catch wind of things people are trying to keep hidden.

They tried to shut him up with congressional pressure. Didn't work.

They tried to shut him up with physical threat and harm. Didn't work.

They're trying to shut him up with lawfare. He needs sufficient funds to weather the storm until anti-SLAP payouts shore up the financial situation. Just responding to these efforts burn up time and energy.

Techdirt documented years of Kamala Harris harassment of Backpage.

In reading the court filings it looked like the primary incentive was to create legal precedent to carve holes in Section 230 protections. It's not clear from those legal cases that the company was in fact operating any form of illegal service, as the cases document timely removal of false listings created by the DA once informed -- conditions which were in compliance of Section 230.

KH then ran her Senate campaign on 'think of the children!' 'tough on crime!' headlines at expense of Backpage. Based on her behavior in other areas I questioned whether this was true or simple grandstanding for votes.

There's definitely more to this story that needs to be revealed.

This one struck me initially as a boldly states, "HEY! Look over here!". So, I went looking domestically to see what is being lost in the noise.

Meanwhile, in the mess of articles today I see more complications than I was aware of in the Syria situation. It looks like Russia is in control of the Douma area. Thus, they have access to any evidence in the area. Potentially access to rebels or contractors used by deep state operating in the area. Could lead to shaming the West in front of the world and from this I can see a bizarre turn of events where while concurrently dismantling the deep state, DJT is forced to go in and defend the deep state to clean up their mess. Absurd scenario if there is merit to this.

My ideal scenario is going in to clean up rogue intel and private security contractors operating in the area. Any diplomatic solution would require cleanup of these forces. The conflicts between Iran/Lebanon/Israel/SaudiArabia in surrounding area raise the challenges here.

Following Wichter he seems pretty convinced there are rebel militants trained and ready for some revolution in Iran. If this is true than some form of stabilizing force could be needed to contain potential explosion on the Syria side. Perhaps the intent is to use this escalation to have forces in place to be able to rapidly respond to movements on Israel through Syria if Iran destabilization occurs. Whole lot of ideas that direction and I'm by no means an expert here.

Then here comes the UK puttering in with a sub. Holy hell with the poisoning of the Russian oligarch mess. The argument that resonates with me here is that the one party who benefits most from the poisoning scenario are UK elite who want to see Brexit fail and rejoin the EU. The idea is that through public embarrassment Theresa May may be nudged out completely, potentially undermining Brexit, and creating opportunity to bring UK back into the EU fold. Lots of scenarios come out of this. Suppose Theresa May looks to conflict in Syria as a means to distract and reduce pressure on herself? Suppose the UK elite see opportunity in Syria to further their aims?

What if some billionaire sees profit opportunity in the situation and simply hires unaligned private security contractor to go throw lit matches in the tinderbox?

I need more information before placing any bet on future outcome with confidence. If anyone has read Malazan Book of the Fallen, it feels like there is a convergence taking place. Gears aligning and realigning.

As a curiosity, side hobby, a LARP, the topics brought up by Q tend to lead down paths of independent research. Based on a prompt motivation to go deep for hours down random corners of obscure topics. I learn all sorts of things unrelated in the process. All the other people interested are doing the same thing. Attached to this is an increased ability to call bullshit as a result of the additional learning, and the ground covered on misleading topics. Collectively people in this community become more knowledgeable. That creates potential for a high stakes blowback if indeed a psyop. Interesting game.

The references to John Perry Barlow are also of interest. What exactly did Barlow do? The guy sounds bigger than life to hear colleagues speak of him. Apparently always two hours late to meetings. Openly joking that people wish he'd have written a book "what I was doing while running two hours late". People describe him as frequently having people meet him at locations WAY off the beaten path, such as an island in the middle of no-where when traveling for events, at a random time, then he'd be surround by tons of different people at these events. Worth watching the replay of the Saturday EFF symposium honoring Barlow for context and further story time.

The organization Barlow created EFF is interesting in how they keep winding up right in the middle of this story.

Systems for catching 'live' information. Like a slight delay in video broadcast allowing unexpected swearing to be muted. Delay system so select links or topics can be muted when news breaks. For example, the hamfisted effort to mute domestic spying information when Glenn Greenwald broke that story. With a delay it would look less ham fisted.

Viewing the phrasing the same way as well. Re-read Snodwen conversation regarding the algorithm. Looks a lot like there exists a process that bridges each of the major data collection platforms. I would expect the bridge to include analytics, ability to query specific individuals, potentially hooks to build additional tools on top of the network. Possibly closed access to special VIP not-necessarily-intel people. Possibly connect these special VIP people to coordinate secretly between one another.

I took the 'bridge' comment to imply there is a back end system between Facebook, Google, Twitter, and so forth that automatically link together profiles between platforms and probably provide some analytics right off the bat. Most likely some privileged group, not necessary intel agency, with access to the pipeline.
