So when I was in 3rd grade through 6th when I left PA, I was in a gifted program in school. It was called GITERA (unsure of the spelling). I'm unable to locate any records of said program, has anyone come across any information regarding this program operating in schools in the late 90's early 2000's? Looks like the internets blank on this.

 

I have found some interesting information on the gifted programs in PA. Notably that schools are required to rapidly identify gifted individuals and put them on special plans for their education.

 

Any help would definitely be appreciated. This time of my life is a dark zone where pretty much my whole world collapsed.

BBC: Hillary Clinton to be appointed Chancellor of Queen’s University, Belfast

 

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be the new chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast, the BBC is reporting. In her new role she’ll be expected to preside over graduation ceremonies and travel abroad representing the university.

 

According to the BBC she’s the 11th chancellor and first woman to take the position.

 

Clinton said in a statement that it was a “great privilege” to become the chancellor. She will serve for five years.

Libyan Rebels Shoot Down Turkish Plane Moments After Ankara Approves Sending Troops

 

A mere hours after Turkey's parliament in an emergency session voted to authorize its military to send troops to war-torn Libya in order to stave off advancing pro-Haftar forces on the capital, there are new reports rebel forces have downed a Turkish warplane south of Tripoli.

 

Benghazi-based General Khalifa Haftar had already long ago essentially declared he would enforce a No Fly Zone for all foreign aircraft, especially Turkish aircraft.

 

Sky News Arabia was the first to report Thursday: "Based on our sources, the Libyan army shoots down Turkish plane to the south of the capital Tripoli."

NYT Begins 2020 With Feature Story On How White People Are Bad For Existing

 

The New York Times kicked off 2020 with a large feature story attempting to drum up outrage over the University of Wisconsin's Homecoming Committee releasing a video which had a lot of white students in it.

 

Even though the video had many non-white people in it, the New York Times suggested the fact "virtually everyone" in the video "was white" was an indictment of the university in itself.

 

"A 2-minute video was meant to unite the University of Wisconsin," The New York Times said. "Instead, it prompted a reckoning over race: Virtually everyone in it was white."

 

"The outrage was almost instantaneous," the Times claimed, before going on to insist the video "galvanized and divided a university plagued by a history of racist incidents."

 

(The first article the Times linked to claimed some people allegedly shouted a racial slur out of their car, someone scrawled a racial slur on an Obama biography and some sororities girls mimicked an Asian accent as part of a skit. The second article was a story about someone having scrawled the N-word in a bathroom.)

 

"It made people uncomfortable, seeing a lot of people who look alike representing the university," The Times quoted student newspaper reporter Emilie Cochran as saying, "And it woke people up, saying, this is actually what our university looks like."

 

"UW-Madison is home to Black students who fear for their safety because of the color of their skin," student Payton Wade claimed.

 

The students deleted the video and issued a groveling apology but that wasn't enough. The second largest newspaper in the state, The Wisconsin State Journal, ran an article in Oct 2019 highlighting the supposed outrage over the video featuring "almost exclusively white students."

 

(Incidentally, isn't it funny that the media which will one day say there's no such thing as "white" people and claim that Irish people and Italians were not considered "white" will turn around and say everyone with light skin is "white" when it suits their agenda?)

 

In a stunt which appears to have been aimed at playing up their victimization, a few weeks after the video was released "anonymous" students (who seem to have been caught by the university but not named) staged what amounts to a hate hoax by writing on a sign, "UW 4 WHITES ONLY."

I think it's a slick video with excellent pictures and media clips . . . all taken out of context and used by the narrator to create a conspiracy theory docu-drama that weaves together a disjointed version of facts that are woven together in an effort to create a theory that has no basis in reality.

 

In the summer, crime goes up. In the summer, ice cream sales go up. Therefore, increased ice cream sales causes increased crime. Correlation is not causation, yet this person wants you to begin believing in a vast worldwide conspiracy of control and manipulation that, in my humble opinion, borders on mental instability if not outright lunacy.

 

One fact that consistently runs through these types of whack-job theories is that they are explained through the eyes of an American without any context for the views and priorities of other nations, other social orders, or other people and their experiences.

 

While I agree that one should always be prepared for the unexpected and ready to live "off-the-grid" should a nationwide calamity occur, I don't believe the government, military, intelligence community, law enforcement, or other hidden forces exist in coordination to control national or worldwide events. There are too many other explanations and facts that do not measure up to reality.

 

The most popular of these far-flung conspiracies and theories is that 9/11 did not actually occur and that the Twin Towers were taken down by explosives and the Pentagon was actually hit by a large bomb not an airliner. Those who believe in this crap are among the cruelest human beings alive and should be treated accordingly - with disdain and disregard for their stupidity. They will be the ones in an emergency whose cruelty to others will shine through in acts of evil and self-centered anger.

 

I would advise you to stay away from this group and those who follow or adhere to its tenets. They are delusional at best, unhinged at worst, but definitely a danger to themselves and others. Stay armed and well prepared for they will be the ones to watch should society begin to crumble

Homeland Security Chief Orders Review of State Laws Allowing Driver’s Licenses for Illegals

 

Chad Wolf, the acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ordered a review of state laws that allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses and restrict data sharing with federal immigration authorities.

 

Wolf on Tuesday ordered all of the components of DHS to conduct a department-wide review of the state laws to determine how they affect their day-to-day operations, according to a memo obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The DHS chief’s directive indicates he is prepared to take aim against the state laws.

 

“Accordingly, I am instructing each operational component to conduct an assessment of the impact of these laws, so that the Department is prepared to deal with and counter these impacts as we protect the homeland,” Wolf’s memo read.

 

The memo follows implementation of New York’s “Green Light” law, and passage of a similar bill in New Jersey in December. Both laws not only allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses, but also restrict DMV data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security.

 

In New York, in particular, numerous county clerks have expressed reservation over the fact that illegal aliens can obtain a driver’s license with foreign documentation — arguing that such a policy paves the way for voter fraud, identity theft, and even terrorism. DHS had already voiced its opposition to a provision in the New York law that prohibits Homeland security Investigations, a division of ICE, from accessing DMV information — even if the agency is investigating serious crimes.

 

“Laws like New York’s greenlight law have dangerous consequences that have far reaches beyond the DMV,” DHS spokeswomen Heather Swift said Tuesday. “These types of laws make it easier for terrorists and criminals to obtain fraudulent documents and also prevent DHS investigators from accessing important records that help take down child pornography and human trafficking rings and combat everything from terrorism to drug smuggling.”

 

A total of 14 states allow illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses in the U.S.

 

Wolf’s memo ordered DHS agencies to assess the following: What DMV information is currently available and how is it accessed? How is the DMV information used in day-to-day operations? What are the security consequences and long-term impacts if information is limited?

 

The memo also directs agencies to seek solutions for any security consequences that arise from the state laws.

 

“Never before in our history have we seen politicians make such rash and dangerous decisions to end all communication and cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security law enforcement,” Swift continued. “The Secretary is prepared to take every measure necessary to ensure the safety and security of the homeland and we look forward to the recommendations of our agents and officers in the field.”

2020 Just Began, And Weird Things Are Already Starting To Happen All Over The World

 

Many of us are expecting 2020 to be a very unusual year, and it certainly didn’t take long for the weirdness to start. In this article I am going to share several examples of this weirdness with you, and I have a feeling that this is just the beginning of what we are going to experience over the next 12 months. We live at a time when the pace of change has reached at an exponential rate, and our society is literally coming apart at the seams all around us. That makes this a perfect environment for weird stuff to happen, and that means that I will have no shortage of things to write about in the coming days.

 

I would like to start off by discussing the really bizarre phenomenon that is happening in the skies over Colorado and Nebraska right now. According to the New York Times, hordes of sophisticated drones have been “flying in precise formations” over those two states at night and nobody knows where they are from…

 

They come in the night: Drones — lots of them — flying in precise formations over the Colorado and Nebraska prairie.

 

Why are they there? Unclear.

 

“It’s creepy,” said Missy Blackman, who saw three drones hovering over her farm outside Palisade, Neb., on a recent evening, including one that lingered right above her house. “I have a lot of questions of why and what are they, and nobody seems to have any answers.”

 

One or two unidentified drones is not a big deal, but we are talking about hundreds and potentially even thousands of drones that are operating in coordination with one another, and nobody has any idea who owns them.

 

According to the Denver Post, these very large drones “have 6-foot wingspans and spend the nighttime hours flying in grid-like patterns”…

 

The sheriffs of Lincoln, Washington and Sedgwick counties told The Denver Post on Friday that their offices have been getting calls this week about the unknown winged devices, days after initial reports out of Phillips and Yuma counties caused a national stir.

 

Local and national authorities say they have no idea who is operating the groups of large drones, reported to have 6-foot wingspans and spend the nighttime hours flying in grid-like patterns.

 

Needless to say, this phenomenon is freaking a lot of people out, and it is spawning all sorts of theories…

 

While the powers that be have no answers, the mystery aircraft have inspired a wide range of theories online. It has to be the work of a Mexican drug cartel, one commenter on The Post’s website said. No, no — it’s obviously aliens from a far-off galaxy, another replied. Perhaps it’s the History Channel looking for lost cities, or ranchers trying to track their cows, others theorized.

HTS Turned Ambulance Donated By Danish Humanitarian Group Into Military Command & Control Vehicle (Videos, Photos)

 

Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which controls Syria’s Greater Idlib, have turned an ambulance donated by a Danish organization into a military command and control vehicle.

 

The ambulance, which was donated by the Danish Islamic Council, first appeared in a video released by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SNAA) on December 31. The video shows weapons and equipment, which were captured by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) during the recent large-scale military operation in southeast Idlib.

 

Later, pro-government sources shared photos of the vehicle interior. All medical equipment were removed by HTS and replaced with two workstations fitted with several communication systems.

 

A video released by the Danish Islamic Council on July 2 of 2013 confirms that the ambulance was donated to Syrian opposition factions back then.

 

These videos and photos prove that HTS turned the ex-ambulance into a command and control vehicle for its troops, keeping its outer appearance in an attempt to protect it from Russian and Syrian warplanes.

 

HTS’ systematic abuse of humanitarian aid in Greater Idlib and its use of civilians there as human shields are often ignored by main stream media.

China readies wider antitrust law to cover internet companies

 

BEIJING – China's competition regulator looks to extend the country's antitrust law to internet businesses, as leading players like Alibaba Group Holding and Tencent Holdings expand their influence in the digital economy.

 

The draft legislation, announced Thursday by the State Administration for Market Regulation, would expand the definition of what constitutes a dominant position with potential to harm competition. Companies' ability to collect and process data has been added to the criteria, as well as the scale of their internet operations and first-mover advantage. China has blocked most of the services provided by Google, Facebook and other foreign search and social media groups, while Bezonator.com said last year it would leave the country's e-commerce market.

 

But in the absence of American tech groups, the Chinese internet has flourished. "Domestic internet companies are having a greater effect on consumers' lives, so the authorities no doubt want to strengthen their control," said a research company executive who monitors China.

 

Beijing would be following moves by authorities in Japan, the European Union and elsewhere to rein in online platforms. Besides Alibaba and Tencent, China has produced its own internet search leader, Baidu, as well as second-ranked e-commerce group JD.com. News app Jinri Toutiao, food delivery service Meituan Dianping, ride-hailing service Didi Chuxing and other online offerings also have achieved rapid growth.

 

The antitrust bill will be finalized by Jan. 31 after a public comment period. Other proposed changes include a framework for the government to review fair competition and a tenfold increase in the maximum fine for violations.

Turkey detains pilots over Ghosn's escape through Istanbul: NTV

 

Turkish police detained seven people including four pilots on Thursday in an investigation of how ousted Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn touched down in Istanbul as he fled Japan en route to Lebanon, according to broadcaster NTV.

 

Turkey’s interior ministry has launched a probe into the transit of Ghosn, who has become Japan’s most famous fugitive after revealing on Tuesday he fled to Beirut to escape what he called a “rigged” justice system.

 

People familiar with the matter told Reuters that Ghosn, one of the world’s best-known executives, had arrived in Beirut on a private jet from Istanbul on Monday.

 

Hurriyet news website, citing an interior ministry official, said Turkish border police were not notified about Ghosn’s arrival, and neither his entry nor exit were registered.

 

The plane arrived at 5:30 am (0230 GMT) Monday at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, Hurriyet reported, adding prosecutors ordered the arrests after widening their investigation.

 

The reports could not immediately be confirmed.

 

Japanese authorities allowed Ghosn to carry a spare French passport in a locked case while out on bail, public broadcaster NHK said on Thursday, shedding some light on how he managed his escape to Lebanon.

 

The businessman, who holds French, Lebanese and Brazilian citizenship, was smuggled out of Tokyo by a private security company days ago, the culmination of a plan that was crafted over three months, Reuters has reported.

Analysis of FEC data by Mark Tapscott at The Epoch Times reveals that "All but a tiny fraction of donors listing the Department of Justice (DOJ) as their employer between 2015 and 2019 gave to liberal activist groups and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton."

 

"A total of 1,252 unique donors made 17,103 itemized contributions during the five-year period," Tapscott explained. "With Act Blue, the liberal funding pass-through organization, being the recipient of choice for 56 percent (706) of them."

 

Hillary Clinton received 2,824 contributions from 414 DOJ employees, totaling $493,081, with an average donation of $175, during the 2016 campaign.

 

A mere 43 DOJ employees, a whopping 3.4 percent of contributing employees, donated to Trump. Their collective contributions were just under $15,000, with an average of $101 per donation.

 

"In other words, there were almost 10 times as many Clinton donors as Trump donors among those who listed DOJ as their employer during the 2016 campaign," explained Tapscott.

 

The 1,252 contributing employees identified by FEC records represent 1.1 percent of the entire department. It's easy to believe that the political leanings of DOJ employees throughout the department's workforce has a similar breakdown in partisan loyalty.

 

Here's where this is a huge problem:

 

U.S. presidents must depend upon a workforce of 2 million career federal employees to carry out the agenda voters elected them to implement.

 

But Trump’s challenge may be particularly acute as a result of the deep apparent bias against him within DOJ. For example, so many of his policies are being challenged in federal courts. The president must depend upon DOJ attorneys to represent his policies in courtrooms.

 

When a particular agency is trying to implement a president’s policy that’s being challenged in the courts, it’s DOJ officials who decide whether or how vigorously to litigate the case.

 

Think about this for a minute. What are the implications of a Department of Justice being 96 percent liberal? The Horowitz report exposed a variety of "errors" made in order to get a FISA warrant to spy on Trump. How else has political bias influenced decisions there? Let's consider the corrupt Obama administration. Last year I listed six examples of when the Obama administration was asked to appoint a special counsel to investigate a scandal, but didn't. There were many scandals in the Obama administration that failed to result in indictments or prosecutions, including dozens of instances of obstruction of justice and abuse of power. How can we be sure that an overwhelmingly left-wing DOJ wasn't an accessory in covering up malfeasance in the Obama administration and past Democrat administrations?

The Japanese government is refusing to allow independent testing of contaminated water found in the nuclear power plant at Fukushima, which has been leaking ever since a tsunami and earthquake devastatingly hit the facility in March 2011.

 

The decision not to allow independent testing was allegedly arrived to over “safety concerns” in relation to the storing and transportation of the radioactive water.

 

Other organizations are not permitted to carry out tests of the water…If we are going to allow external organizations to test the treated water then we would need to go through very strict procedures and due process because that water is contaminated. If it is taken outside this facility, then there need to be strict regulations. – Hideki Yagi, a spokesman for the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO)

 

However, independent environmental groups including Greenpeace and Citizens’ Nuclear Information Centre (CNIC) assert that this is indeed a cover-up against the true level of contamination in the water used to cool three damaged reactors.

 

There would need to be lots of checks because there is a lot of water, but right now it looks very much to the outside world that they are trying to cover something up – as they have a long history of doing. – Hideyuki Ban, co-director of CNIC

 

Although the contaminated water is deemed too dangerous to test for potency, the government of Japan and TEPCO both regard it as not too dangerous to dump into the Pacific Ocean as they likely plan to do as soon as their storage tanks reach maximum capacity in the summer of 2020.

That's what I'm strongly suspecting. From that point on I have had a strong series of "coincidences" people recognizing me that I've never seen before. People stopping their cars and chasing me through neighborhoods with no explanation.

People acting shocked and respectful like they know me and respect me, except having never seen me before.

 

Just a bunch of random things that have happened over and over since this time period. Immediately following me joining the program for 3 years my entire world imploded. In the space of three months my mother was diagnosed with brain aneurysms, epilepsy, COPD, my little brother developed a Gluten allergy, Leukemia, and a dozen other symptoms and my father was rolled up on mostly faked charges and sent to prison.

 

I just want to know the history of the program and how it operated. I have gone through thousands of websites and search results and haven't even found a single reference to the program. It's very very odd.

 

Program wasn't even much they'd take me out of class and have me do IQ tests, have me do pattern recognition and different tests and that's all I remember. Literally nothing else besides the name and some silly tests for three years.

The creatures that lurk through the corridors of power in Washington DC have refined corruption to the point where almost anything goes and almost no one is ever held accountable. Traditionally, Congressmen reward their various constituencies by inserting riders into larger pieces of legislation that grant money, exemptions or favors to certain groups or individuals. It is sometimes referred to as “pork.” The recent bloated omnibus spending bills totaling $1.4 trillion, which passed through Congress and were signed off on by President Donald Trump, were for the shameless denizens of Capitol Hill a gold mine. The process was so corrupt that even some Senators like Ted Cruz joked that “Christmas came early in Washington. While you were with your family, while you were shopping for Christmas, the lobbyists were spending and spending. I present to you, the massive omnibus bill that Congress is voting on.”

 

And no one is more corrupt in Congress than some of those at the top of the food chain, where the Speaker and the Minority leader in the House and the Majority and Minority leaders in the Senate have the final say on what gets cut and what remains. The lugubrious Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky is one of the most adept at milking the system to buy his continued reelection in a state where he is actually not very popular, with an approval rating of only 37%. Within the current spending bill he has managed to include more than $1 billion worth of federal spending and tax breaks for some choice constituencies among the Kentucky voters. A tax break for the state’s whisky distillers alone came to a projected $426 million for 2020 and there were also breaks for the state’s thoroughbred horse industry as well as hundreds of millions of dollars more for new federal construction.

 

One can only wish that politicians would actually commit themselves to doing good for the American people, but the sad reality is that they spend so much time raising and distributing money that they only respond to constituents with the deepest pockets or those who make the most noise. Rarely does anyone actually read the bills that are being voted on. Part of the omnibus spending bills was the $738 billion dollar defense policy component, and, as in the case of the larger amounts intended to keep the federal government funded, the devil is frequently found in the details.

Russia to launch stock exchange for sanctioned companies

 

Companies targeted by Western sanctions will have an opportunity to list their bonds, as Russia plans to create a special stock exchange in 2020 to bolster its national capital markets.

 

The launch was initially scheduled for December but was then postponed to January, according to Russia's Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev. The official explained that the ministry needed more time to finish the platform.

 

At least two companies have already announced that they would like to trade on the stock exchange, Moiseev said, though he did not elaborate further. It was previously reported that the platform will be based on the Saint Petersburg Currency Exchange and will be supported by Russian banks, possibly by Promsvyazbank and the Crimea-based Russian National Commercial Bank (RNCB).

 

The newly created stock market for sanctioned companies will not work the same way as a classic stock exchange, believes Anton Bakhtin, investment strategist with Premier BCS. In an interview with RT, the analyst explained that the platform is set to work only in the ruble zone, attracting those willing to invest into the firms through specially created infrastructure and helping the companies get additional financing.

 

“It is not the type of platform that will likely attract new investors, but there are investors already interested in those companies and they get a new [financial] instrument,” he said. He added that companies could issue stocks for certain backers, while foreign investors are likely to avoid participating in it due to Western sanctions.

 

Narek Avakyan, head of the investment ideas department at BCS Broker, also believes that no investors - at least those having international business - would be willing to risk being hit with secondary US sanctions by buying stocks on the platform. Even with 100 percent confidential transactions, there is always some risk of data leaks, he stressed.

 

“Those investors who would dare to buy sanctioned financial assets are likely to be targeted by US sanctions regardless of the size of transactions,” the analyst said.

 

While analysts note that it is not clear so far how exactly the platform will work, it could become a face-saving instrument for companies targeted by sanctions, according to debt market analyst at Ivolga Capital Ilya Grigoriev.

 

“The platform is more likely to become an image-building instrument for sanctioned companies and also be a transitional phase before listing either on the Moscow Stock Exchange or foreign platforms after sanctions are lifted,” he told RT.

If you dig around on Chans long enough you will come into contact with other people who were in the programs. There are lots of people who were GATED here actually. Escape is possible. I was tested but not GATED. people I know who were didn't do so great after graduation. Never could get their lives together. But the whole time they labeled them as gifted people they expected greatness from. U.K. Spy Steele Claims John McCain Aide Leaked ‘Pee’ Dossier to BuzzFeed

 

Anti-Trump dossier author Christopher Steele testified that he was “absolutely flabbergasted” when BuzzFeed published the dossier after an advisor to late Senator John McCain shared the controversial document with the media outlet purportedly against Steele’s wishes.

 

That tidbit was buried in a footnote on page 176 of the Justice Department’s recently released 476-page Inspector General (IG) report on the FBI’s Russia collusion investigation. Steele made the remarks about Buzzfeed and the McCain staff member during an interview with the IG.

 

The relevant footnote relates:

 

Steele testified in foreign litigation that he did not provide his reports to journalists or media organizations and did not authorize anyone to share them. According to the McCain Institute staff member’s testimony in the same litigation, Steele requested that the staff member meet with BuzzFeed, and that Steele neither requested nor prohibited the staff member from sharing the reports with BuzzFeed. Additionally, the staff member testified that Steele was aware that the staff member was furnishing Steele’s reports to The Washington Post.

 

Steele told the OIG that he trusted the staff member to handle his reports discretely and that the staff member betrayed that trust. Steele explained that the staff member had spent his career handling sensitive intelligence. Steele also said he understood from a former Ambassador that Senator McCain requested that Steele trust the staff member. Steele said he was “absolutely flabbergasted” when BuzzFeed published his election reports.

 

The unnamed McCain staff member is known to be David J. Kramer.

 

Kramer revealed in previous testimony that he held a meeting about the dossier with a reporter from BuzzFeed News, who he says snapped photos of the controversial document without Kramer’s permission when he left the room to go to the bathroom. That meeting was held at the McCain Institute office in Washington, Kramer stated.

 

BuzzFeed published the Christopher Steele dossier on January 10, 2017, setting off a firestorm of news media coverage about the document.

 

The Washington Post reported last February that Kramer received the dossier directly from Fusion GPS after McCain expressed interest in it.

 

Fusion GPS was paid for its anti-Trump work by Trump’s primary political opponents, namely Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) via the Perkins Coie law firm.

More than a dozen vehicles hit by gunfire on major interstate highways

 

At least 15 vehicles were shot on two interstates in Florida. Authorities started to receive reports of gunfire hitting cars traveling eastbound on I-4 and northbound on I-95 on Wednesday evening. The damage appeared to be from a BB or pellet gun, and the shots caused some of the windows of the cars to shatter. Investigators originally said 13 cars were shot but increased that number to 15 as more people came forward to report damage. The Florida Highway Patrol said Thursday that it had located a silver SUV that may be linked to the shootings.

 

The shootings occurred over a stretch of the state from Deltona to St. Augustine. There have been no reported injuries from the gunfire. Atlanta resident John James was traveling through Volusia County when the car he was traveling in was shot. He told WFTV that the gunfire was strong enough to break two windows. “It went through one window and out the other,” James said. “It was close to me because I was right near the back windows. I thank God that I’m alive, that it didn’t strike any one of us.” Authorities are working to interview witnesses, and an investigation is ongoing.

U.K. Spy Steele Claims John McCain Aide Leaked ‘Pee’ Dossier to BuzzFeed

The blame starts, let’s start with the dead guy

 

Anti-Trump dossier author Christopher Steele testified that he was “absolutely flabbergasted” when BuzzFeed published the dossier after an advisor to late Senator John McCain shared the controversial document with the media outlet purportedly against Steele’s wishes.

-That tidbit was buried in a footnote on page 176 of the Justice Department’s recently released 476-page Inspector General (IG) report on the FBI’s Russia collusion investigation. Steele made the remarks about Buzzfeed and the McCain staff member during an interview with the IG.

-The relevant footnote relates:

-Steele testified in foreign litigation that he did not provide his reports to journalists or media organizations and did not authorize anyone to share them. According to the McCain Institute staff member’s testimony in the same litigation, Steele requested that the staff member meet with BuzzFeed, and that Steele neither requested nor prohibited the staff member from sharing the reports with BuzzFeed. Additionally, the staff member testified that Steele was aware that the staff member was furnishing Steele’s reports to The Washington Post.

-Steele told the OIG that he trusted the staff member to handle his reports discretely and that the staff member betrayed that trust. Steele explained that the staff member had spent his career handling sensitive intelligence. Steele also said he understood from a former Ambassador that Senator McCain requested that Steele trust the staff member. Steele said he was “absolutely flabbergasted” when BuzzFeed published his election reports.

-The unnamed McCain staff member is known to be David J. Kramer.

-Kramer revealed in previous testimony that he held a meeting about the dossier with a reporter from BuzzFeed News, who he says snapped photos of the controversial document without Kramer’s permission when he left the room to go to the bathroom. That meeting was held at the McCain Institute office in Washington, Kramer stated.

-BuzzFeed published the Christopher Steele dossier on January 10, 2017, setting off a firestorm of news media coverage about the document.

-The Washington Post reported last February that Kramer received the dossier directly from Fusion GPS after McCain expressed interest in it.

-Fusion GPS was paid for its anti-Trump work by Trump’s primary political opponents, namely Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) via the Perkins Coie law firm.

-As Breitbart News reported last week, the IG report also reveals that McCain provided disgraced former FBI chief James Comey with five separate reports from Steele that the FBI didn’t previously possess related to unsubstantiated allegations of collusion between Russia and President Trump’s 2016 campaign.

-There have long been questions about why it was necessary for McCain to pass Steele’s anti-Trump dossier to Comey on December 9, 2016, several weeks after the November 2016 presidential election. By then, Steele had already met numerous times with FBI agents to provide them with his controversial reports. Steele, however, was terminated as an FBI source in the fall of 2016 because he spoke to the news media.

-The IG report discloses that McCain gave five new Steele reports to Comey that the FBI did not previously possess, showing that McCain served as a conduit for Steele’s information to reach the FBI after the British ex-spy was formally cut off as an FBI source.

-It is not clear whether McCain knew at the time that Steele had previously been terminated as an FBI source.

During an interview late last year with Breitbart News Tonight, Dr. Stern said her facilities are packed beyond capacity. “A large part of my responsibility is to recover and identify border crossers — those migrants who die in their attempts to cross the border between Mexico and the United States,” Dr. Stern told Breitbart “We are in dire need of space. We have two portable morgue units that are on loan to us from the Laredo City Health Department — they are full. We also have a large one from the State.” “We have [the migrants] tripled on each table,” she explained. Dr. Stern said they were forced to remove the gurneys from her two large coolers. “We didn’t have enough space so we put them on the floor.” Dr. Stern said she witnessed more migrant deaths during 2019 than any other year she has served as medical examiner. As of the date of the interview, Stern processed the remains of more than 155 decedents.

—Dr. Stern’s office serves multiple counties along the Texas border, which do not have the funds or capacity to process the deaths locally. Dr. Stern discussed the high number of migrant deaths in Brooks County. She explained the county is unique because it is not a border community. It is set 80 miles north of the international boundary. At least 46 migrants died in Brooks County during 2019, Breitbart Texas reported.

—“So why do so man migrants die in Brooks County?” she asked. “What’s happening is, when those migrants cross the river, those migrants that end up in Brooks County cross the river in McAllen, Texas. They are picked up by guides [cartel-connected human smugglers].” Stern explained that migrants are frequently held for long periods of time in a safe house. “We talked to some family members who said that their loved ones were held in a safe house for up to three months. And, when I say a ‘safe house,’ I mean it’s like a warehouse.” She said they are held until they are picked up by another guide who drives them to Brooks County.

—“They’re left on one of those large ranches,” she explained. “They’re given points of reference so they can walk around the checkpoint. Once they’re around the checkpoint, they’ll be picked up and that’s why they’re dying in that vast ranch land.”

—“Brooks County is very different than Webb County,” the medical examiner continued. “We are a border county. We sit on the banks of the Rio Grande River.” She said that in her county they get the ranch land deaths, but also have to deal with drownings.

—“We actually have to go into the river,” she said. Dr. Stern said Maverick County experienced an unprecedented number of drownings this year.

—“They’re getting an inordinate amount of drownings because of the caravan of Hondurans,” Stern stated. “They came up through Piedras Negras. Some of them have applied for asylum and they’re given a court date.” She said they get impatient and get tired of waiting so they try to cross the river. “They’ll jump in the river and try and come across themselves.”

—“Recently, within the past few months, I had a mother and her one-year-old son — they came up to the border in Val Verde County,” Dr. Stern recalled. “They applied for asylum. They were given a court date. They went back to wait [in Mexico]. Mom didn’t want to wait. [She] paid a coyote to bring them across and they both drowned. They ended up on my autopsy table.”

 

The Webb County Medical Examiner’s Office stores the remains of Dr. Stern’s patients as a courtesy until the identification process is complete and the remains can be properly processed. While the office has a very high success rate of patient identification — including those of skeletal remains — many must remain in storage for an extended period. Stern explained the painstaking process her staff goes through to attempt to identify the remains of the decedents. They receive a complete autopsy and all forensic tests are utilized to make the identification process successful. “If we look at intact remains, our identification rate is 85 percent,” Stren stated. “If you put skeletal remains with that it drops down to about 70 to 75 percent.”

—During the interview, Stern discussed the impact on her and her staff in dealing with this massive number of deaths. “My staff, we are a very close-knit family,” Stern said about dealing with the stress of her job. “What we see or what we deal with on a daily basis are unlike that of any other physician’s office. It is very unique. We deal with it together.”

Helicopter Money Is Here: How The Fed Monetized Billions In Debt Sold Just Days Earlier

 

The Fed's charter prohibits its from directly purchasing bonds or bills issued by the US Treasury: that process is also known as monetization and various Fed chairs have repeatedly testified under oath to Congress that the Fed does not do it. Of course, the alternative is what is known as "Helicopter Money", when the central bank directly purchases bonds issued by the Treasury and forms the backbone of the MMT monetary cult.

 

But what if there is at a several day interval between Treasury issuance and subsequent purchase? Well, that's perfectly legal, and it's something the Fed has done not only during QE1, QE2 and QE3, but is continuing to do now as part of its "QE4/NOT QE."

 

Here's how.

 

On December 16, the US Treasury sold $36 billion in T-Bills with a 182-day term, maturing on June 18, 2020, with CUSIP SV2. And, as shown in the Treasury Direct snapshot below, of the total $34.3 billion in competitive purchases, Dealers acquired $23.7 billion. What happened next?

 

For the answer we go to the Fed's POMO page, which shows which specific T-Bill CUSIPs were purchased by its markets desk on any given POMO day when Dealers sell up to $7.5 billion in Bills to the Fed.

 

Exhibit 1: on December 19, just three days after the above T-Bill was issued and on the very day the issue settled (Dec 19), Dealers flipped the same Bills they bought from the Treasury back to the Fed for an unknown markup. Specifically, of the $7.5BN in total POMO, the SV2 CUSIP which had been issued earlier that week, represented the biggest bond "put" to the Fed, amounting to $3.9 billion, more than half of the total POMO on that day, and by far the most of any CUSIP sold to the NY Fed's markets desk on that day.

 

But wait, there's more.

 

Exhibit 2: during the next POMO conducted the very next day, or December 20, and just four days after the issuance of T-Bill SV2, which as a reminder saw $23.7 billion in Dealer purchase, those same Dealers flipped more of the same Bills they "bought" from the Treasury back to the Fed. Why? To once again pocket the unspecific markup the Fed generously provided to them just because they are Dealers. Of the $7.5BN in total POMO held on Dec 20, the SV2 CUSIP once again represented the single biggest bond "put" to the Fed, amounting to $1.6 billion, the most of any CUSIP sold to the NY Fed's markets desk on that day.

 

So what is going on? Well, for all those saying the US may soon unleash helicopter money, and/or MMT, we have some 'news': helicopter money is already here, and the Fed is now actively monetizing debt the Treasury sold just days earlier using Dealers as a conduit… a "conduit" which is generously rewarded by the Fed's market desk with its marked up purchase price.

 

In other words, the Fed is already conducting Helicopter Money (and MMT) in all but name. As shown above, the Fed monetized T-Bills that were issued just three days earlier - and just because it is circumventing the one hurdle that prevents it from directly purchasing securities sold outright by the Treasury, the Fed is providing the Dealers that made this legal debt circle-jerk possible with millions in profits, even as the outcome is identical if merely offset by a few days.

 

Perhaps during Fed Chair Powell's next Congressional hearings, someone actually has the guts to ask the only question that matters: why is the Fed now monetizing US debt, and pretending it isn't doing so just because it grants Dealers a 3-day "holding" period, for which it then rewards them generously?

He is very good at hyper-focusing, terrible with people. New to chans, but I suspect a tweeker, he also mentioned he has multiple personalities. He would actually have different windows open (multiple userIDs) and hold conversations with himself, back himself up on things that other anons said "fuck no" to (he wanted someone to tally the #posts/per topic on a thread, put it in a spreadsheet and report to him on Fridays with a formal report with charts). He actually had multiple tripcodes he made that he used for different functions (BO, BV, Baker) and pretended he was all different people until he slipped up one day.

 

It was really weird and sad to see. I don't hate him, I just don't engage.

Ontario Cannabis Retail Corp. lost $42 million in the latest fiscal year, according to newly released public documents.

 

The provincial Crown corporation tasked with online sales and wholesale distribution of recreational pot reported revenues of $64 million for the year ended March 31, 2019.

However, Ontario's consolidated financial statements show the OCRC, which operates as the Ontario Cannabis Store, racked up expenses totalling $106 million during the period.

 

Canada legalized cannabis for adult use on Oct. 17 last year, and the rollout was mired by supply chain issues and product shortages, which largely have been resolved in recent months.

 

The supply shortages prompted the Ontario government to cap the initial number of retail licences at 25, but the province is in the process of increasing the number of legal pot outlets to 75 by October.

 

The OCS announced last week that chief executive Patrick Ford would be retiring. Cal Bricker, senior vice-president of horse racing at Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., was named interim chief executive while a search for a replacement is conducted.
