CNN And NBC Both Paid $35,000 To Left-Wing Activist For Footage Of Fatal Capitol Shooting

A left-wing activist facing criminal charges for his involvement in the Capitol riots received $35,000 from both CNN and NBC for footage he recorded of a Trump supporter being fatally shot inside the Capitol building, according to records he filed in federal court on Tuesday.

Lawyers for John Sullivan, a 26-year-old Utah native, disclosed the payments as part of the activist’s argument that he was acting as a journalist in the Capitol rather than a rioter.

“Defendant is legitimately self-employed as a documentarian and it is oppressive to require that he not be allowed to continue his primary area of employment for an extended period of time,” Steven R. Kiersh, the Sullivan lawyer, wrote in a court filing in which he argued for Sullivan to be allowed to continue using Facebook and Twitter.

Sullivan, who founded the social justice group Insurgence USA, was charged on Jan. 13 with illegally entering the Capitol, civil disorder, and violent or disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

STATEMENT FROM FORMER LINOLN PROJECT EMPLOYERS AND ASSOCIATES

This morning, The Lincoln Project's former Executive Director, Sarah Lenti, said in an on the record interview that TLP leaders knew about the allegations against John Weaver as early as March 2020.

As of this writing, The Lincoln Project has not sufficiently addressed this serious claim from someone deep within the organization's leadership. We demand a statement from Rick Wilson, Reed Galen, and Steve Schmidt confirming or rebutting this morning's allegation.

Earlier tonight, TPL released an ad calling out the hypocrisy of GOP Senators. If they have time to do that, they have time to answer these questions:

Did The Lincoln Project know in March 2020? Did Stebe Schmidt lie in his recent statement that he was only aware in Januaury 2021?

The fomer executive director's statement does not just reveal potential dishonesty.

The situation is far more serious: If the Loncoln Project's leadershop knew Weaver was a serial predator in March, but continued to place interns recommended by Weaver in the Spring and Summer, TLP knowingly put some of us and our LGBT colleagues in immediate danger.

75 percent of Republicans want Trump to play prominent role in GOP: poll

Three-quarters of Republicans said they want former President Trump to play a prominent role in the Republican Party despite his second impeachment trial, according to a poll released on Monday — two days after his acquittal.

A Quinnipiac University poll determined that 75 percent of Republican respondents expressed interest in Trump continuing to play a prominent role in the GOP, while 21 percent said they wouldn’t want that.

About half of respondents in the poll, at 51 percent, said they backed the Senate convicting Trump, including 92 percent of Democrats and 50 percent of independents. A large majority of Republicans, at 89 percent, said they were against convicting Trump.

Some Lincoln Project founders knew about sexual harassment allegations as early as March

The revelation comes as the political group’s domestic and international associates cut ties, including an Israeli prime ministerial hopeful.

Some of the leaders of the embattled Lincoln Project knew about sexual harassment allegations against co-founder John Weaver as early as March, multiple sources, including the group’s former executive director, told The 19th late Monday.

The Lincoln Project on Monday evening announced it had hired the law firm Paul Hastings to conduct a “comprehensive review of our operations and culture” and released current and former workers from nondisclosure agreements to discuss their “workplace environment.” Weaver has been accused of sexually harassing more than a dozen men, including some connected to the Lincoln Project.

“We are committed to creating a positive, diverse, and inclusive workplace environment at The Lincoln Project and inappropriate behavior by anyone associated with the organization will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We have already taken decisive action to address internal concerns,” co-founder Reed Galen told The 19th in a statement early Tuesday.

The Lincoln Project was launched in late 2019 by a group of high-profile Republicans with the mission to defeat Donald Trump. It went on to raise nearly $90 million for the effort, more than half of which flowed to firms controlled by its various founders.

The group’s decision to hire Paul Hastings, and to release its current and former employees, contractors and vendors on Monday from their service agreements, came as fundraising issues mounted, potentially endangering plans by the Lincoln Project’s remaining leaders to expand into media and international political consulting.

Anedot, which processed the group’s donations, has stopped working with them and fundraising links have been dead since Friday, giving the Lincoln Project no way to bring in small-dollar donations.

The Senate Majority PAC — the Democratic fundraising arm for Senate candidates — said on Friday it would no longer work with the group due to the controversy after donating nearly $2 million in 2020 to help the Lincoln Project defeat Republican senators.

Then, the Jerusalem Post reported early Tuesday that Israeli prime ministerial hopeful Gideon Sa’ar, who is challenging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in next month’s election there, would also cut ties.

Sa’ar’s campaign had just last month hired Galen, Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson and Stuart Stevens, the Lincoln Project’s remaining top consultants, in a bid to apply their anti-Trump playbook to Netanyahu. Their work in Israel was part of a broader expansion into international politics, with one entity related to this effort being registered just last week.

Separately, Wilson’s relationship with The New Abnormal, a podcast produced by the Daily Beast that he co-hosts, has been paused as of Tuesday, producers said.

Multiple individuals began coming forward late Monday to discuss the allegations related to Weaver, and the timeline on which other senior management knew about them, after the group confirmed that a nondisclosure release applied to its current and former contractors, vendors and employees. Much of the group’s work was done by independent contractors and those working for private firms owned by its founders.

Their accounts contradict a timeline provided by Schmidt as recently as late last week. Schmidt had previously said that he did not know about the allegations against Weaver until January. They also show that co-founders knew months earlier than June, as had been previously reported by The 19th and other media outlets.

Schmidt resigned from the Lincoln Project’s board on Friday after taking responsibility for the publication on Twitter of private messages on the social media platform between co-founder Jennifer Horn, who had recently resigned over the Weaver revelations, and this reporter. As of Friday, he remained with the group in a management capacity.

Some of the individuals came forward with new details on Monday after they were released from their nondisclosure agreements. Several said Sarah Lenti, a managing partner with the group who was previously its executive director, knew about the allegations against Weaver as early as May 2020. Lenti confirmed that some of the group’s co-founders knew about the allegations as early as March 2020. Schmidt and Galen were among those who knew, multiple sources said.

Only three of the Lincoln Project’s eight co-founders — Schmidt, Galen and Wilson — remain after months of infighting about the group’s management, finances and the allegations faced by Weaver. Stevens, a former strategist for Republican Sen. Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, joined the group in May 2020.

Co-founder George Conway, a conservative lawyer married to former Trump White House aide Kellyanne Conway, was the first to leave in August, citing family reasons. He had called for the Lincoln Project’s nondisclosure agreement release.

Co-founders Mike Madrid and Ron Steslow left in December, with settlements and after signing nondisclosure agreements. Madrid was not aware of the allegations against Weaver until much later; Steslow had attempted to have Weaver removed, sources said.

Doctor Drew accuses YouTube of trying to "dictate the accuracy" of medical info after his video is deleted

Celebrity doctor Drew Pinsky announced on Twitter that one of his YouTube videos that featured a conversation with another physician received a strike on YouTube and was removed.

He said that he presumed people who were not medical professionals are making decisions about what qualifies for accurate medical information.

"Do you trust a 23yr old computer coder with your life?," he asked.

Appearing on the Rubin Report along with another doctor, Zubin Damania, and lawyer Viva Frei to discuss censorship on Big Tech platforms, Dr. Drew was asked about the short period of time when he was demonetized on YouTube, to reveal that he was in fact deplatformed for a week and threatened with permanent depltforming.

He said he received a list of policies that must be respected, but that those were in no way relevant to his content.

The only thing that might have triggered the censors, according to Dr. Drew, is the fact that he had Covid and was talking about the status of his immunity, which he added had been measured - and that it appears discussing immunity is a "touchy" subject for YouTube.

But another "touchy" topic, i.e., one that gets censored easily on the Google-owned platform, are various forms of treating the disease, something Dr. Drew "confessed" to also speaking about in one of his videos, when he discussed this with an anesthesiologist….

Remember, this is the same man who said: “Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people." The playbook has not changed in over 100 years.

"We live in a world where pundits purport that a bout of pneumonia — or even the sniffles — may make one unsuited to lead a country. Imagine what these pundits might say had they been around a little over a hundred years ago, when presidential hopeful Teddy Roosevelt gave a speech with a bullet lodged in his chest.

The date was October 14, 1912, and Teddy Roosevelt was feeling a little rough around the edges: His third-term campaign travels had worn him out, and left his throat a bit sore. Little did he know, his day was about to get worse.

That evening, Roosevelt headed to Milwaukee’s Kilpatrick Hotel for a dinner hosted by one of his supporters. Once he finished his meal, Roosevelt began making his way to the Milwaukee Auditorium, where he was to give a speech. And then a shot rang out.

Standing under five feet away, a man named John Schrank fired at the ex-president — and had someone in the crowd not bumped Schrank at just the right moment, the Bavaria-born shooter likely would have killed Roosevelt.

Instead, the bullet from Schrank’s .38 revolver headed right for the chest pocket of Roosevelt’s suit. Slowed by the folded, 50-page speech and eyeglasses case in said pocket, the bullet entered Roosevelt’s chest with less than fatal force.

Brandishing a fist-sized bloodstain from the bullet wound, Roosevelt gave a quick cough to determine if the bullet had nicked a lung. No blood appeared at his lips, and so Roosevelt insisted that his driver take him to the auditorium so he could deliver his speech.

At the time, sectarian division had brought out the worst in the Republican Party. Conservative William Howard Taft won the renomination at that year’s convention, which prompted Roosevelt to found the Progressive Party and run for president on its ticket. Republican Party stalwarts balked at Roosevelt’s move, calling him power-hungry and disrespectful to the convention that presidents may only serve two terms.

These attacks — as demonstrated by the bullet hole in Roosevelt’s chest, fired by a man who said Roosevelt shouldn’t pursue a third term — had very real consequences, and Roosevelt railed against them in his speech.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX raised $850 million, jumping valuation to about $74 billion

SpaceX completed another monster equity funding round of $850 million last week, people familiar with the financing told CNBC, sending the company’s valuation skyrocketing to about $74 billion.

The company raised the new funds at $419.99 a share, those people said — or just 1 cent below the $420 price that Elon Musk made infamous in 2018 when he declared he had “funding secured” to take Tesla private at that price.

The latest round also represents a jump of about 60% in the company’s valuation from its previous round in August, when SpaceX raised near $2 billion at a $46 billion valuation.

SpaceX did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment. n addition to SpaceX further building a war chest for its ambitious plans, company insiders and existing investors were able to sell $750 million in a secondary transaction, one of the people said.

The people spoke on condition of anonymity.

SpaceX raised only a portion of the funding available in the marketplace, with one person telling CNBC that the company received “insane demand” of about $6 billion in offers over the course of just three days. The latest influx of cash comes as SpaceX simultaneously develops two capital-intensive projects.

Starlink is its ambitious project to build an interconnected internet network with thousands of satellites, known in the space industry as a constellation, designed to deliver high-speed internet to consumers anywhere on the planet. SpaceX leadership has previously estimated Starlink will cost about $10 billion or more to build but believes that the network could bring in as much as $30 billion a year — or more than 10 times the annual revenue of its existing rocket business.

SpaceX has launched more than 1,000 satellites for Starlink and is beginning to roll out early service in a public beta to customers in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. The company recently widened the scope of that public beta, allowing prospective users to preorder Starlink service for $99. Preorder messages tell users that SpaceX is “targeting coverage in your area in mid to late 2021,” while other preorders say 2022.

The company disclosed in an Federal Communications Commission filing last week that Starlink has “over 10,000 users in the United States and abroad,” in just over three months since the public beta began.

Musk also reiterated last week that SpaceX plans to eventually spin off Starlink and take it public. He said Starlink “needs to pass through a deep chasm of negative cash flow over the next year or so.”

“Once we can predict cash flow reasonably well, Starlink will IPO,” Musk said.

Have had issues with ADS-B not displaying call signs in the past and that is usually remedied by clicking on the history button, taking it back a day then clicking off to"reset" the call sign.

I think the real tell will be when Kamala travels somewhere as AF2.

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, which is preparing to trade publicly in the next few months, is being valued at $77 billion, based on trading of the company’s privately held shares on a secondary market.

Those shares in the largest crypto exchange in the U.S. are changing hands on the Nasdaq Private Market at $303 a piece, according to two people with knowledge of the auction. That implies a total company value of about $77 billion – greater than Intercontinental Exchange Inc., the owner of the New York Stock Exchange.

“The third weekly transaction closed on Friday and the clearing price was $303 a share,” said a source. “The first week it was 200 bucks a share, the second week it was $301 a share, and the third week it was $303 a share. So you can kind of see price discovery happening.”

Coinbase declined to comment. The Coinbase private market is running an anonymous order book ahead of the company’s direct public listing, a date for which is still unknown. The sale allows current and former employees, as well as investors in Coinbase, to take some cash off the table. Around 254 million shares in Coinbase will be outstanding and available to trade when the firm goes public, according to sources with knowledge of the offering.

Coinbase pre-IPO futures contracts were trading on crypto derivatives exchange FTX at about $386 at the time of writing.

Today, Republican Leader of the Education and Labor Committee Virginia Foxx (R-NC), House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Republican Leader of the Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul (R-TX), and Republican Leader of the Homeland Security Committee John Katko (R-NY) sent a letter to President Biden urging the administration to resubmit a previously proposed rule that would protect U.S. education institutions from the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) Confucius Institutes and the many threats they pose.

In the letter, the Members write: “Among the multitude of threats we face stemming from China, the CCP’s abuse of America’s academic system to steal sensitive research and technology, limit free expression, and propagandize our students is of particular concern. Confucius Institutes (CIs) are one element of this threat to American academia…” The Members continue: “…the integrity of the U.S. academic system should be a priority, and we urge your administration to resubmit the rule as soon as possible. We would likewise welcome engaging with your administration to forge bipartisan, whole-of-government solutions to CCP threats to U.S. education and research integrity.”

BACKGROUND: The Trump administration proposed a new rule requiring schools participating in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program to disclose any contracts, partnerships, or financial transactions with Confucius Institutes in an effort to combat the CCP’s generational threat on American education. Today’s letter follows last week’s action from the Biden administration to withdraw the proposed rule, allowing the CCP’s threat to persist.

Infamous Wuhan Lab Authorized To Receive US Taxpayer Funding, NIH Confirms

FEBRUARY 17, 2021 By Evita Duffy

The National Institutes of Health confirmed Tuesday that the Wuhan Institute of Virology is authorized to receive U.S. taxpayer funding for animal research through January 2024, according to the Daily Caller.

The research lab in Wuhan is suspected to have caused the COVID-19 pandemic through an accidental lab leak and has already received $600,000 in U.S. taxpayer funds between 2014 and 2019 to study bat-based coronaviruses through EcoHealth Alliance, a nonprofit organization.

EcoHealth Alliance’s research of bat-based coronaviruses in China was funded by a $3.7 million grant in 2014 from a branch of the NIH, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, according to the Wall Street Journal. In April, the grant was terminated by the NIH amid criticism over EcoHealth Alliance’s relationship with the Wuhan research lab. The NIH said in a letter that the nonprofit’s work in China did not align with “program goals and agency priorities.”

The NIH told EcoHealth Alliance in July it would restore the grant if the organization met certain conditions, one of which was to arrange for an independent team to investigate the Wuhan Institute of Virology to determine if it had possession of the COVID-19 virus prior to the first known cases in December 2019, as suspected by the U.S. State Department.

The president of EcoHealth Alliance, Peter Daszak, told NPR the NIH’s conditions were “preposterous.”

“I’m not trained as a private detective,” Daszak said. “It’s not really my job to do that.”

Daszak was the only U.S. member in the World Health Organization delegation who, in January and February, investigated the origins of COVID-19 in China. The WHO delegation has yet to release a report on its findings. Daszak, however, told the White House it should blindly accept the delegation’s conclusion and said it’s highly unlikely the virus could have leaked from the Wuhan lab.

Since January, American intelligence has had evidence that researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology became infected with COVID-like symptoms before the first known cases in December 2019, and while Daszak claims the U.S. State Department’s findings shouldn’t be trusted, the State Department also contends that the Wuhan lab has collaborated on “secret projects” with the Chinese military.

“Despite the [Wuhan Institute of Virology] presenting itself as a civilian institution, the United States has determined that the WIV has collaborated on publications and secret projects with China’s military,” the department reported. “The WIV has engaged in classified research, including laboratory animal experiments, on behalf of the Chinese military since at least 2017.”

The State Department evidence undercuts the main theory pushed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NIH, and WHO: that the virus jumped from an animal to a human in Wuhan before spreading around the world. China, the corporate media, and health officials have dismissed as a “conspiracy theory” the hypothesis of U.S. intelligence that the Wuhan laboratory caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology still has an active Foreign Assurance on file with the NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, according to the office, enabling the lab to continue receiving taxpayer funds to carry out animal research.

A spokeswoman for the NIH told the Daily Caller that the Wuhan lab’s Foreign Assurance was approved on Jan 9, 2019, and is currently set to expire on Jan 31, 2024. She did not confirm whether the lab is currently receiving direct or indirect taxpayer funding for research activities. EcoHealth Alliance’s last known subgrant to the Wuhan Institute of Virology was in May 2019, according to USASpending.Gov.

EcoHealth Alliance received a new $7.5 million grant from the NIH to establish a Centers for Research in Emerging Infectious Diseases, but Daszak claimed in an NPR interview that the funds his organization received from the new grant will not be used for any research in China.

Anthony Bellotti, president of the nonpartisan watchdog group White Coat Waste Project, told the Daily Caller that EcoHealth Alliance should be defunded entirely for financing “reckless gain-of-function animal experiments that may have led to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“We’re urging Congress and the White House to defund EcoHealth now and secure independent investigations into whether their treacherous gain-of-function animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology led to the COVID outbreak,” said Bellotti.

653 Deaths + 12,044 Other Injuries Reported Following COVID Vaccine, Latest CDC Data Show

The numbers reflect the latest data available as of Feb. 4 from the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System website. Of the 653 reported deaths, 602 were from the U.S. The average age of those who died was 77, the youngest was 23.

As of Jan. Feb. 4, 653 deaths — a subset of 12,697 total adverse events — had been reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) following COVID-19 vaccinations. The numbers reflect reports filed between Dec. 14, 2020 and Feb. 4, 2021.

VAERS is the primary mechanism for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S. Reports submitted to VAERS require further investigation before confirmation can be made that the reported adverse event was caused by the vaccine.

As of Feb. 10, about 44.77 million people in the U.S. had received one or both doses of a COVID vaccine. So far, only the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been granted Emergency Use Authorization in the U.S. by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). By the FDA’s own definition, the vaccines are still considered experimental until fully licensed.

According to the latest data, 602 of the 653 reported deaths were in the U.S, and 137 of the deaths were related to cardiac disorder. Fifty-three percent of those who died were male, 44% were female, the remaining death reports did not include the gender of the deceased. The average age of those who died was 77, the youngest reported death was of a 23-year-old. The Pfizer vaccine was taken by 58% of those who died, while the Moderna vaccine was taken by 41%.

As or Feb. 4, there had been 163 cases of Bell’s Palsy reported and 775 reports of anaphylaxis.

As The Defender reported today, the CDC is investigating the Feb. 8 death of a 36-year-old doctor in Tennessee who died about a month after receiving the second dose of a COVID vaccination. According to news reports, Dr. Barton Williams died from the adult form of multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-A), a condition caused when the immune system attacks the body resulting in multi-system organ failure. New reports attributed the death to a reaction to an asymptomatic case of COVID, although Williams never tested positive for the virus.

On Feb. 8, Fox5 reported the death of a man in his 70s who collapsed and died Feb. 7 as he was leaving the Javits Center in Manhattan about 25 minutes after receiving a COVID vaccination.

On Feb. 7, a local Villa Hills, Kentucky news site reported on the deaths of two nuns following a “COVID-19 outbreak” that occurred two days after the nuns were vaccinated. Prior to beginning the vaccination program, there had been no cases of COVID at the monastery, which has been shut down to visitors during the pandemic. After vaccinations began, 28 of the women had tested positive for COVID as of Feb. 7.

The clinical trials suggested that almost all the benefits of COVID vaccination and the vast majority of injuries were associated with the second dose.

The Defender also reported this week that according to the New York Times, several doctors now link the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines to immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a condition that develops when the immune system attacks platelets (blood component essential for clotting) or the cells that create them. The Times article featured two women who are recovering from ITP after being vaccinated. Last month, Dr. Gregory Michaels died from ITP two weeks after he got the Pfizer vaccine.

While the VAERS database numbers may seem sobering, according to a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services study, the actual number of adverse events is likely significantly higher. VAERS is a passive surveillance system that relies on the willingness of individuals to submit reports voluntarily.

According to the VAERS website, healthcare providers are required by law to report to VAERS:

Any adverse event listed in the VAERS Table of Reportable Events Following Vaccination that occurs within the specified time period after vaccination.

An adverse event listed by the vaccine manufacturer as a contraindication to further doses of the vaccine.

The CDC says healthcare providers are strongly encouraged to report:

Any adverse event that occurs after the administration of a vaccine licensed in the United States, whether or not it is clear that a vaccine caused the adverse event.

Vaccine administration errors.

However, “within the specified time” means that reactions occurring outside that timeframe may not be reported, in addition to reactions suffered hours or days later by people who don’t report those reactions to their healthcare provider.

Vaccine manufacturers are required to report to VAERS “all adverse events that come to their attention.”

Historically, fewer than fewer than 1% of adverse events have ever been reported to VAERS, a system that Children’s Health Defense has previously referred to as an “abject failure,” including in a December 2020 letter to Dr. David Kessler, former FDA director and now co-chair of the COVID-19 Advisory Board and President Biden’s version of Operation Warp Speed.

A critic familiar with VAERS’ shortcomings bluntly condemned VAERS in The BMJ as “nothing more than window dressing, and a part of U.S. authorities’ systematic effort to reassure/deceive us about vaccine safety.”

CHD is calling for complete transparency. The children’s health organization is asking Kessler and the federal government to release all of the data from the clinical trials and suspend COVID-19 vaccine use in any group not adequately represented in the clinical trials, including the elderly, frail and anyone with comorbidities.

CHD is also asking for full transparency in post-marketing data that reports all health outcomes, including new diagnoses of autoimmune disorders, adverse events and deaths from COVID vaccines.

Children’s Health Defense asks anyone who has experienced an adverse reaction, to any vaccine, to file a report following these three steps.

“In a panic” following the election victory of Donald Trump, China appointed the sister-in-law of U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to the Bank of China’s board of directors, the author of a new book on the monetizing of political influence said.

Angela Chao was named to the Bank of China’s board of directors just 10 days after Trump’s victory, said Peter Schweizer, author of “Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends”.

Chao and McConnell’s father-in-law, James Chao, also sit on the board of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation which is the largest defense contractor in China.

“So when [Donald Trump] gets elected in 2016, China is in a panic. So one of the things that happens is, they appoint, really, the first American, or only the second foreigner to the Bank of China,” Schweizer said on the April 23 edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight.

“Now, the Bank of China is government-run, government-controlled, is sort of the backbone of the Chinese government’s economic diplomacy around the world. Ten days after Donald Trump is elected, they put Elaine Chao’s sister – Mitch McConnell’s sister-in-law – on the board of directors of the fourth largest bank in the world, which is run by the Chinese communist government. It’s a shocking development, and, again, unprecedented in American history that you would have senior political leaders have immediate family members that are sitting on the board of foreign government-owned businesses.”

Schweizer noted: “So Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, his wife Elaine Chao, who’s the transportation secretary in the Trump administration, her family has deep economic and financial ties to the Chinese government itself. They are in the shipping business, and they own something called the Foremost Group, and really, in 1993, Mitch McConnell, as a senator, travels to China with his father-in-law, James Chao, as guests of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation.”
