AZ Audit Director Ken Bennett: “We haven’t received ANYTHING from them – Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Refuses to Cooperate and Answer AZ Senate”

On Tuesday afternoon, The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson had a chance to speak with Arizona Audit Director Ken Bennett about the ongoing America’s Audit. This was the second day of counting after the 9-day break that was scheduled for high school graduation ceremonies in Phoenix.

The tech team WAKE TSI is no longer involved in this process and their responsibilities will transfer to StratTech, a subcontractor that has been helping with technology and involved in training since day one. StratTech is now facilitating the counting under Cyber Ninjas, as WAKE finished their contract and chose not to continue past May 14th.

Staffing for the audit is moving up every day and the Senate Audit team trained over 300 new people last week. On Tuesday, they had 29-30 counting tables fully staffed and they have a few more tables to fill in to have the 45 tables filled. They are currently discussing opening a 3rd counting shift each day.

The most recent ballot count is 660,000 ballots completed as of May 14th, and their goal is to finish counting the ballots by June 30.

Conradson asked Bennett for updates on the MCBOS’s and Katie Hobbs’ attempts to stop this process.

Conradson: How is the audit going?

Bennett: We started back up yesterday and everything is running very smoothly. We have the most counting tables filled that we’ve had since we began and they are increasing every day. More and more volunteers and staff are coming in, so we’re pleased.

Conradson: In regards to your response to the MCBOS on the 18th, have you gotten an answer from the county regarding issues with duplicate ballots and corresponding originals?

Bennett: No we haven’t heard anything from them yet, but we’re putting together a specific email to ask them some of those questions. They didn’t want to come to the hearing at The Senate and they had their own little hearing the day before. So, we didn’t get many of the answers we would have like to have gotten but we are getting ready to contact them to get whatever they’re willing to give us.

Conradson: How about the chain of custody documentation from November to April, any word on that?

Bennett: We still have not received anything about that, no.

Jeffrey Epstein's Alleged Co-Conspirators To Testify Against Ghislaine Maxwell: Court Filing

Several of Jeffrey Epstein's alleged co-conspirators, including recruiters, sexual partners and friends are set to drop the dime on Ghislaine Maxwell at her trial later this year, according to recent court filings analyzed by the Daily Mail.

Prosecutors announced in the filing that materials presented at trial will include 'any co-conspirator statements,' which the Mail says is a "major sign that one of Epstein's inner circle has turned state's witness." What's more, they agreed to turn over 'the identity of any unindicted co-conspirator' nine weeks before the trial, which is set to begin in November.

Meanwhile, Maxwell admitted in a filing seeking to dismiss the case that one accuser was "encouraged to recruit other females to provide massages to Epstein."

The filings strongly indicate that some of the four women who were named as potential 'co-conspirators' under Epstein's sweetheart plea deal in 2008, under which he served just 15 months in jail for having sex with children, could face off against Maxwell in court.

The women in question have been accused of being Epstein's 'recruiters, groomers, sexual partners and friends' and have almost always pleaded the fifth amendment when questioned during depositions.

They are Sarah Kellen, 40, who is accused of having a rolodex of women she would call up for massages at Epstein's mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

Lesley Groff, 53, is said to have been Epstein's executive assistant for 20 years and said in a 2005 interview that she had such a tight bond with him 'I know what he is thinking'.

Nadia Marcinko, 35, is alleged to have taken part in sexual encounters with underage girls and has been described as Epstein's on-off girlfriend.

In a late Friday night court filing, prosecutors and Maxwell's defense submitted their own preferred timetables and logistics for the trial. According to prosecutors, materials during the trial "will include testifying witness statements, which themselves will also include any co-conspirator statements about which witnesses may testify at trial."

Prosecutors "only intend to introduce co-conspirator statements either through the testimony of witnesses or in the exhibits, which will be marked before trial," and will include documentary statements about co-conspirators "e.g., emails between Epstein and any number of thousands of persons," per the filing.

Alaska Volcano Eruption Sparks "Red Alert"

Alaska's Great Sitkin volcano erupted on Wednesday, prompting the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to issue a "red alert" for the surrounding area as a column of ash spewed thousands of feet into the atmosphere.

The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) said the volcano erupted around 21:04 AKDT (5:04 UTC 26 May), resulting in an ash cloud up to 15,000 feet above sea level.

"Since that explosion, seismicity has decreased and satellite images show that the ash cloud has detached from the vent and is moving towards the east. Additional explosions are possible and the Aviation Color Code remains at RED and the Volcano Alert Level at WARNING," AVO said.

The former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed he believes COVID-19 originated through an accidental escape from a Wuhan lab and hinted that this occurred following gain-of-function research by the Chinese scientists there.

Officials from both the Trump and Biden administrations have said the Chinese government worked to thwart investigations into the origins of the virus, which has killed 2.75 million worldwide, and the World Health Organization-China report is slated to be released at some point in the near future.

Dr. Robert Redfield, the CDC director from March 2018 through January 2021 under former President Donald Trump, made his bombshell revelation about believing the coronavirus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology during an interview with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, which was previewed on CNN’s New Day on Friday morning. Redfield, a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine, helped lead the Trump administration’s response to the deadly pandemic after spending decades working in virology, and he also revealed he believed the virus began transmitting in September or October in Wuhan, China.

“That’s my own view. It’s only an opinion. Biden looks abroad for electric vehicle metals, in blow to US miners

U.S. President Joe Biden will rely on ally countries to supply the bulk of the metals needed to build electric vehicles and focus on processing them domestically into battery parts, part of a strategy designed to placate environmentalists, two administration officials with direct knowledge told Reuters.

The plans will be a blow to U.S. miners who had hoped Biden would rely primarily on domestically sourced metals, as his campaign had signaled last autumn, to help fulfill his ambitions for a less carbon-intensive economy.

Rather than focus on permitting more U.S. mines, Biden's team is more focused on creating jobs that process minerals domestically into electric vehicle (EV) battery parts, according to the people.

Such a plan would help cut U.S. reliance on industry leader China for EV materials while also enticing unions with manufacturing work and, in theory, reduce pandemic-fueled unemployment.

The U.S. Commerce Department is organizing a June conference to attract more EV manufacturing to the country. Biden's proposed $1.7 trillion infrastructure plan earmarks $174 billion to boost the domestic EV market with tax credits and grants for battery manufacturers, among other incentives. The department declined to comment.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell was blocked from entry into the Republican Governors Association in Tennessee. Apparently members of the RGA were concerned that Lindell would confront them over their election fraud inaction.

President Joe Biden first nominated David Chipman in April, citing the nominee’s tenure at the ATF as qualification enough to assume the rare director position. Shortly after the White House nominated Chipman, Republicans noted the anti-gun lobbyist’s track record, including working for gun control group Giffords and advocating for bans and regulations on assault rifles, suppressors, bump stocks, certain ammunition, and homemade firearms.

Chipman also came under fire after falsely claiming that the Branch Davidians shot down government helicopters during the Waco, Texas siege in 1993, and for his comments mocking Americans as zombie preppers for buying guns during government-mandated lockdowns.

One day before Chipman’s hearing, 20 Republican attorneys general sent a letter to U.S. Senate leaders asking legislators to pass on confirming the ATF pick due to his history of anti-gun activism.

Arizona AG Files Motion to Intervene on DNC Court Case Involving Ballot Harvesting and Out-of-Precinct Voting — Democrats Want to Cheat and Crooked Katie Hobbs Refused to Appeal Case

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich filed a motion to intervene on the DNC versus Hobbs lawsuit on Tuesday.

The lawsuit filed by Democrats will allow the use of ballot harvesting and out-of-precinct voting.

Why is it that every Democrat party election lawsuit makes it easier for them to cheat?

Crooked Katie Hobbs refused to appeal the lawsuit so the Arizona Attorney General jumped in today to intervene on behalf of Arizona voters.

On Tuesday, Attorney General Mark Brnovich filed a Motion to Intervene with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of the State of Arizona in the Democratic National Committee lawsuit challenging Arizona’s ban on ballot harvesting and statutes regulating out-of-precinct voting. Attorney General Brnovich is moving to intervene on this matter on behalf of the State because defendant Secretary of State Hobbs has announced that she does not support an appeal.

As noted in today’s filing, Attorney General Brnovich moves to intervene in this matter, assuring the State’s interest in retaining its “broad authority to structure and regulate elections,” is fully preserved and that there is no possible procedural hindrance to Supreme Court review of the matter. The Attorney General is empowered by Arizona law to seek intervention in federal court on behalf of the State.

Earlier this month the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals granted Brnovich’s motion to stay the Court’s mandate in the DNC v. Hobbs case. The stay ensures Arizona’s ban on ballot harvesting and the law regarding out-of-precinct voting will remain in place until the U.S. Supreme Court has a chance to hear the appeal of the case.

Before the 2016 election, the U.S. Supreme Court stayed the Ninth Circuit’s election-eve injunction against the enforcement of Arizona’s prohibition on ballot harvesting and out-of-precinct voting following a lawsuit filed by the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the Arizona Democratic Party. The State then prevailed at trial.

The search for Spotted Turtle 962 took biologist John Mayersky through a stand of large old loblolly pine, oaks and beech to the edge of a pond on Yorktown Naval Weapons Station.

He paused, swinging his 2-foot-long antenna this way and that, before hearing the strongest signal from the tiny transmitter on 962′s shell. It was coming from the deepest black water of the pond, beyond a thick bed of reeds.

“She probably heard us coming, and scooted in,” he said. And then, holding the antenna high, he pushed through the reeds and into the center of the pond.

He and colleague Robert Hamilton make twice weekly checks on tagged turtles at the base, as part of a continuous effort to maintain the inventory of its natural resources.

That inventory — contained in a 3-inch-thick loose-leaf binder — is the heart of a management plan that earned Yorktown the 2021 Secretary of the Navy Environmental Award for Natural Resources Conservation.

The plan covers some 7,200 acres of forest, which with the nearby woods of Camp Peary and Newport News Waterworks probably comprises the largest stretch of undeveloped forest in Tidewater Virginia, said Tom Olexa, the weapons station’s natural resources manager.

His job is to manage the base’s woodlands along with some 2,600 acres of wetlands and 37 miles of shoreline in way that doesn’t interfere with the military mission — and that protects spotted turtles as well as plants and animals that are less threatened.

But the environmental mission extends beyond the weapons station’s lands, he said.

That’s why the answer to one military mission issue, preventing the shoreline erosion that could affect the base’s Pier R3 where warships load ordnance, is taking the shape it has.

Much of the shore on either side of the pier belongs to the National Park Service. York County, meanwhile, was concerned about the rapid erosion of Penniman Spit, off the Navy’s Cheatham Annex property that is part of Olexa’s responsibility.

And, thanks connections forged with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, whose students and staff regularly use the base for their research, as well as regular conversations with the federal and state agencies in the Chesapeake Bay Program, Olexa knew that living shorelines were an option — hardened shorelines farther upstream, in fact, were a big reason for the faster pace of erosion along the Navy’s and National Park Service’s shorelines.

He also knew the state and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation made oyster restoration a priority on the York River.

“Partnerships are key,” he said.

Listening to all those partners, the answer to the military challenge of protecting the pier seemed clear to Olexa: oyster reefs. Design is already underway.

In addition to stabilizing the shore, by blunting the impact of waves, oysters filter pollutants out of the water. Since the pier is a restricted area, the oysters can’t be harvested — but they can release their spat to grow into oysters farther downstream.

“We’ll be doing something for the whole community, for the York River and the bay,” Olexa said. “We’ll be doing something for commercial fishing, too.”

The military mission is why the base sold recently a stand of 40-year-old pine trees. The station needed to clear trees that threatened to interfere with plans for increased helicopter operations.

To make the deal financially viable for the loggers, the weapons station had to sell more trees than were strictly needed for the clear zone — and so earlier this year, the weapons station planted hundreds of eight-inch-tall loblolly pine seedlings on some of the cleared land. They’re already 2 feet tall.

And the base did not allow the loggers to cut the loblollies at one end of the clearing — they’re next to a wetland that’s home to salamanders, frogs and, Olexa thinks, some spotted turtles.

The spotted turtles eat frogs and salamanders. They need clear, clean water, preferably without fish that also hunt those amphibians.

“This is prime time for them, they just really shovel it in in the spring,” said Hamilton.

The weapons station, with its vernal ponds — pools that wax and wane with the seasons — as well as its more permanent sinkhole ponds, is ideal country for the turtles.

The turtles will travel hundreds of yards from one pond to another — figuring out the paths they travel and times they move it is a big part of what Hamilton and Mayersky are trying to figure out.

“She’s really moving around in here,” Mayersky called out, standing in thigh deep water, within a yard or two of Turtle 962.
