Michael Flynn to QAnon Believers: I’m Not a Satanist!

Former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has been on a relentless media tour since his pardon last year, sitting for interviews with even the most obscure right-wing media outlets to promote the MAGA agenda.

 

But on Tuesday, Flynn appeared on a little-known YouTube channel called Truth Unveiled TV for a very different reason: rebutting the idea that he led a church congregation in a Satanic ritual borrowed from a nuclear doomsday cult.

 

In a video entitled β€œSome Have Said That General Flynn Prayed to Satan in a Recent Prayer,” host Paul Oebel gave Flynn a chance to rebut the growing right-wing controversy alleging he’s signed on with Lucifer.

 

β€œI even saw a show the other day saying β€˜Michael’s flipped on the side of the devil,’” Oebel said. β€œCan you please explain what happened there?”

 

β€œAll of these people that talk about turning to whatever…” Flynn said. β€œPeople need to stop overthinking what everybody is saying.”

 

The bizarre YouTube interview marked Flynn’s latest attempt in a weeks-long campaign to convince his one-time fans in the QAnon conspiracy theory movement that he isn’t a Satanist.

 

Prior to the unusual controversy, Flynn had embraced his position as a hero to supporters of QAnon, taking a QAnon oath, raising money from QAnon believers, and selling QAnon T-shirts. In May, Flynn even appeared at a QAnon conference and endorsed the idea of a military coup.

 

But QAnon fame is a fickle thing. After promoting QAnon for more than a year, Flynn now finds himself on the business end of the conspiracy theory. Like QAnon targets before him, Flynn is now struggling to persuade angry QAnon believers that he isn’t a secret Satan-worshipper.

 

Flynn didn’t respond to a request for comment.

 

Flynn’s trouble started on Sept. 17, when he led a congregation at Nebraska pastor Hank Kunneman’s Lord of Hosts Church in prayer. Flynn’s prayer included invocations to β€œsevenfold rays” and β€œlegions,” two phrases that struck some of Flynn’s followers as strange.

 

β€œWe are your instrument of those sevenfold rays and all your archangels, all of them,” Flynn said, later adding, β€œWe will be the instrument of your will, whatever it is. In your name, and in the name of your legions, we are freeborn, and we shall remain freeborn, and we shall not be enslaved by any foe.”

 

As video of the prayer circulated in online conspiracy theorist groups, the references to β€œlegions” and β€œrays” soon sparked speculation among Flynn’s right-wing supporters that their hero had been lured to the dark side. Always on the lookout for the Satanic influence they imagine lurks at the heart of the world, they claimed that Flynn had secretly been worshiping the devil. Worse, since the congregation was repeating the prayer after Flynn, the rumor went, he had duped hundreds of Christians into joining the ritual.

 

β€œA lot of people in the Christian world believe that when you pray to rays of light and legions that you’re praying to the devil,” Oebel, the YouTube host, explained in his interview with Flynn.

Project Heracles - was a fictional DNA-targeting assassination nanotechnology developed in collaboration with the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS/MI6). It was featured prominently in the 2021 James Bond film, No Time to Die.

 

Appearance

Created by Dr. Valdo Obruchev and his colleagues on behalf of the Secret Intelligence Service, "Heracles" was a virus-like nanoweapon initially designed to target a specific individual's DNA. The technology consisted of millions of indestructible nanorobots capable of spreading harmlessly through the global population undetected. Upon encountering its intended target, the weapon could kill within seconds; theoretically eliminating collateral damage. However, with alterations the technology could become a weapon of mass destruction - capable of targeting everything from individuals to entire ethnicities.

 

Circa 2020, Heracles (and Obruchev) was stolen from its research laboratory by operatives of the criminal organisation SPECTRE. Their incarcerated leader Ernst Stavro Blofeld intended to test Heracles in an assassination attempt on his nemesis, James Bond. Unbeknownst to SPECTRE, Obruchev had been contracted by the vengeful Lyutsifer Safin to reprogram the weapon to kill their board of directors. In addition, the doctor had modified the weapon to kill anyone biologically related to the initial target. Safin also ordered two other specific variants, one to target Blofeld himself and the other to target Madeleine Swann and her daughter. Safin began mass-production of Heracles on his island in the Sea of Japan/Okhotsk and planned to decimate the world's population. The site and most traces of the technology were wiped out by a Royal Naval bombardment. The only known remaining trace of the nanobots on a living human host was with Madeleine Swann, although the one she carried was harmless to anyone except Blofeld (who was deceased by that point) or an immediate family member.

But, goes the myth, these sober bankers were led astray by kings (accursed governments!) who were spendthrift, warlike, and unreliable in paying debts which they had forced the helpless or momentarily foolish bankers to lend them. (RAW STORY) White supremacist radio host Hal Turner was an FBI informant, his lawyer revealed in court today. The announcement is a confirmation of what hackers claimed nearly a year ago after allegedly gaining access to his e-mails.

 

Turner was arrested on June 24 for allegedly calling for the murder of three judges who supported the Chicago gun ban. The confession by his attorney came at a bond hearing Tuesday.

 

β€œAttorney Michael Orozco […] said his client gave authorities information about a plot to assassinate President Barack Obama,” reported the Associated Press.

 

However, prosecutors said they had no information about the alleged plot, but did confirm Turner had a relationship with the bureau. Attorney William Hogan told the wire service that relationship had ended β€œsome time ago.”

 

His recent arrest came after a complaint about an overt call for the murder of three judges.

 

β€œLet me be the first to say this plainly: these Judges deserve to be killed,” he wrote on his Web site,according to MSNBC. β€œHe included their pictures, phone numbers, work address and room numbers along with a photo of the courthouse in which they work and a map of its location, the FBI says.”

 

β€œWe take threats to federal judges very seriously. Period,β€β€˜ said Patrick Fitzgerald, the U.S. attorney in Chicago,” the network reported.

 

But perhaps the most interesting bit of Turner’s recent history are his dealings with the users of the popular Internet forum 4chan, among others.

 

In July 2008, hackers β€” who may or may not be connected to 4chan β€” confronted Turner on his Web site’s forums and claimed they had gained access to his e-mail, uncovering a message allegedly to his FBI handler in which he takes credit for β€œflush[ing] out another crazy.”

 

The message was to one shaug@fbi.gov, credited in the purported e-mail as β€œHaug, Stephen M.”, and it told of an alleged plot to kill Democratic Senator Russ Feingold.
