I found something that gives me a break from the insanity. I read fantasy and sci-fi novels from before wokeness. Books from the 80s and 70s are best.

I'm reading all the Conan The Barbarian materal. Gonna read the Tarzan books. And the John Carter on Mars books.

anon sees three colors (so, ternary)

english alphabet has 27 symbols (26 letters + a null)

3^3 = 27, so anon assumes three bits in a base 3 code.

each row has 24 bits. 24/3 = 8. 8 letters seems to be the width of the first two (decrypted) panes.

trouble is, there are five rows in the encrypted pane. maybe one of the bits is an on/off. first bit show two rows with zero (lightest color) and 3 rows with one (mid color). so, reasonably to assume only first and last row represents the first and second (decrypted) panes, respectively.

Canadians reacted with outrage Sunday night after Deputy PM Freeland posted and then removed a controversial photo in which she’s seen carrying a banner of notorious Nazi collaborator 'Ukrainian Insurgent Army.'

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland drew the ire of thousands of social media users Sunday night after the Twitter account of the second-highest ranked official of Canada’s Trudeau administration uploaded a photo in which she proudly poses in downtown Toronto carrying a red and black banner bearing the nationalist slogan “Slava Ukraini.” The photo was taken down around 12 hours later after angry social media users flooded the replies, and a similar photo without the offending banner was quickly reposted by her account. Her office has yet to offer an explanation for the switch.

Red-and-black banners like the one held aloft by Freeland on Sunday evening were the official battle flag of the so-called Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), the paramilitary wing of the fascist Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN). The groups, which comprised heavilof Nazi collaborators, received funding by the Central Intelligence Agency for much of the 20th century. They became infamous for terrorizing Ukraine’s Jewish population alongside German death squads, especially after perpetrating the brutal Lviv pogroms which took the lives of tens of thousands of Ukrainian and Polish Jews in 1941. “We will lay your heads at Hitler’s feet,” read one of their typically anti-semitic propaganda leaflets aimed at the city’s Jewish population at the time. Freeland’s own uncle, historian and author John-Paul Himka, has estimated that the OUN-UPA were responsible for the deaths of well over 100,000 Jews during the Holocaust.

Prairie Trail Middle teacher Kelly Ruiz despairs about the bundle of bills under consideration by the Kansas Legislature based on the premise of educational malfeasance in K-12 public schools.

 

Republican House and Senate members have demonstrated interest in shifting more public tax dollars to private schools, highlighting struggles of public school students during the COVID-19 pandemic, denouncing teachers for allegedly advancing critical race theory, raising the possibility to labeling as offensive or removing library materials, weakening student vaccination programs, imposing broad mandates on publication of curriculum materials to an online database and imposing a parental bill of rights.

 

“We have to stop the legislation,” Ruiz said during a forum Saturday in Olathe. “It undermines what we do in the classroom. It disrespects and disregards us as professionals. Trust us. We know what saves kids. We know what inspires kids.”

 

Rep. Kristey Williams, a Republican who chairs the House K-12 Education Budget Committee, and Sen. Molly Baumgardner, the Republican chairwoman of the Senate Education Committee, have been working on the bulk of bills some educators find objectionable. Much of that legislative agenda is expected to be considered by lawmakers during the second half of the annual session that starts Tuesday.

 

“There is one central question that I try to circle back to when considering importing policy as chair of the House’s K-12 Education Budget Committee: What is best for kids?” Williams said. “With that central theme of kids first, or kids before systems, our committee has heard four bills providing more school choice, both public and private choices.”

My skills are limited to tineye, but these images bother me. Something seems off. How to tell if a pic is doctored? I don't really want to know I guess. I want eyes on. The inside of that front door looks like something much worse happened than what actually happened. A couple other spots look that way too. The rest looks like something someone trying to make a school look like it was attacked would add as a finishing touch (the guardrails on the roof, etc).

More than a year after his exit from the White House, former President Donald Trump remains a formidable presence in politics. This week he again intimated he’s positioning for another run for President.

 

Trump’s latest declaration was made during a Tuesday podcast interview with Clay Travis and Buck Sexton.

 

According to the Conservative Brief, “Trump sounded very focused when discussing particular policies, especially the radical ones being implemented under President Joe Biden.”

 

A confident Trump declared, “We’re coming back… something’s gonna happen.”

 

Without much prompting, Trump elaborated:

 

“You take the worst politician in America; I would imagine that that person would be winning. But the polls have been extraordinary: 96% approval rating — and saw one this morning, 98%, but 96% approval rating — in the Republican Party and doing well with independents, doing well with women, doing well with everybody.

 

And I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that what I said was right. This is a disaster what’s going on, whether it’s Ukraine or the Afghanistan pullout, which I think is the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.”

 

Trump added:

 

“I think that has a lot to do with what’s going on in Ukraine. You look at inflation. You look at all of the different things that are happening so bad for our country. The border. Who could forget the border? Millions of people, not two million or one million, like they say. I say 10 million. Millions of people are bum-rushing our country.”

 

During the interview, Trump assailed Biden’s handling of what he termed a “deteriorating southern border.”

 

“I think they know, and I think they see, and you know oftentimes they say, “How could this be a 50-50 party system when you look at no voter ID, defund the police, sanctuary cities, open borders where criminals are allowed to pour in?” When you look at people that can’t even get out of… You know, I got it down. I wanted out of… After 21 years, I wanted out of Afghanistan.”

 

Trump continued: “We were gonna be out. I got it down to 2,000 we were getting ready to pull them out, but we were pulling them out with very great strength. We were gonna keep Bagram, not because of Afghanistan.

 

We spent billions building this base, has the biggest and longest runways in the world, and it’s one hour away from where China makes its nuclear weapons. So I was keeping that and keeping it in full force.”

 

“But I was getting out of Afghanistan, and we would have gotten out with tremendous strength and dignity and power and respect. Instead, we look like we surrendered — and you know we didn’t lose an American soldier in Afghanistan for 18 months.

 

I had a talk with Abdul, who’s the leader — the current leader also. He was the leader and now he’s the current leader.”

 

The interview covered a wide range of topics, including mask mandates in schools. On that topic Trump said:

 

“No. No. I think they should be able to go without masks. I think it should have ended a long time ago — and certainly, with the more serious variants, they weren’t even affected. And this is more contagious but far less serious.”

President Joe Biden did not answer questions on Monday from reporters when they attempted to ask him about the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Ukrainian and Russian officials arrived at the Ukraine-Belarus border on Monday to begin “peace talks.”

 

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov is leading the delegation to the peace talks in the Gomel region.

 

“The Biden administration announced Monday morning that Russia’s central bank will be prohibited from undertaking transactions in dollars under a new concerted effort by the U.S. and its allies, a move that is set to accelerate Russia’s economic tailspin,” Axios reported.

 

The German government also announced it will provide weapons including anti-tank missiles to Ukraine as its forces continue to battle against Russian troops.

 

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made the decision on Saturday, in what was a historic shift away from the decades-old policy of never sending weapons to active conflicts.

 

Germany had come under withering pressure from NATO and the European Union to step up and help out the Ukrainians whose military is badly outmatched by superior Russian firepower and technology, not to mention sheer numbers of professional troops:

 

From its own stockpile, the German government will send 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger anti-aircraft defense systems to Ukraine. The government has also authorized the Netherlands to send Ukraine 400 rocket-propelled grenade launchers and told Estonia [to] … send nine howitzers.

 

A government spokesperson said the weapons will be delivered “as soon as possible.”

 

Until Saturday, Germany had stuck to its longstanding practice of not permitting lethal weapons that it controlled to be transferred into a conflict zone.

 

That stance bewildered some European officials, even more so after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a full-scale invasion and launched missile strikes on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital.

 

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine marks a turning point,” Scholz said in a statement. “It threatens our entire post-war order. In this situation, it is our duty to do our utmost to support Ukraine in defending itself against Vladimir Putin’s invading army. Germany stands closely by Ukraine’s side.”

 

The major policy reversal may be the beginning of a rapid and significant increase in military assistance for Ukraine, whose civilian population has been pressed into military service by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, himself choosing to remain in his country to meet the Russian onslaught rather than accept offers to evacuate him.

 

That’s because a major portion of weaponry and ammunition on the European continent are at least partially manufactured by Germany, which in turn has given Berlin legal control over how and when they can be transferred.

 

That said, Politico noted further that the reversal won’t mean carte blanche transferring of weapons; each case will be considered and decided on an individual basis.

 

“Before Saturday’s turnaround, senior Ukrainian officials had been complaining bitterly for weeks about Germany’s refusal to allow arms shipments to bolster Ukraine’s defenses,” the outlet reported.

 

“Estonia, in particular, had said it wanted to send old howitzers but was prevented from doing so because Germany was withholding its approval. Estonia bought the weapons from Finland, which gave its sign-off, but Germany also has to OK the transfer because it originally sold the howitzers to Finland,” the report continued.

 

Ukrainian and some European officials were angered by the delay at the time.

 

In response, Germany only offered to send 5,000 helmets and a field hospital to Ukraine, “a meager contribution hat has been the subject of some derision considering that Germany is the biggest and wealthiest EU country,” noted Politico.

In recent months, the US Air Force has issued calls for ethnic Russians to provide DNA samples for a mysterious “research” program. US Air Force Captain Beau Downey claimed that the samples were required for “locomotor studies to identify various biomarkers associated with trauma.”

 

Downey further stated,

 

The request (by the research centre) did not specify where the samples should be received from, but to continue the study, similar samples were required. Since the supplier originally provided samples from Russia, suitable for the initial group of diseases, the control group of the samples should also be of Russian origin.

 

The goal is the integrity of the study, not the origin (of the samples)”

 

However, given the fact that the US military has attempted to obtain Russian DNA samples without the permission of the Russian government and furthermore, given the low state of Russia-US relations, many are questioning whether the sought samples are intended to be part of a biogenetic weapons program.

 

Biogenetic weapons are defined as biological agents designed to inflict debilitating diseases or other internal bodily afflictions on a specific group of people, based on a shared genetic code.

 

While it is unclear if such a weapon has ever successfully been developed, the US and Israel have in the past, attempted to create such a devastating bio-genetic weapon.

 

In the late 1990s, it was reported that Israel had successfully created a biogenetic weapon which was specifically designed to target Arabs and only Arabs.

The report quotes an ‘unconfirmed report’ which originated in South Africa, which details how Israeli scientists have made a biological weapon tailor made to attack targets with the Arab genetic system. Long-term studies of Iraqi Jews was credited with providing the genetic code needed to target Arabs. According to the report, the ethnic-bullet program was originally developed for use in Apartheid South Africa for use against blacks. Scientist in both countries worked together towards the development of the Israeli program. The report, citing Israeli military and western intelligence sources, says that scientists are trying to identify distinctive genes carried by Arabs to create a genetically modified bacterium or virus.

Sodium azide is a colorless, odorless powder that testers dip cotton swabs into. The chemical is found in herbicides, pest control agents, and airbags for cars.

 

“Small doses of sodium azide can lower blood pressure, and larger doses may cause more serious health effects,” an advisory from Health Canada also said. “ProClin is also found in many kits. It contains chemicals that can cause skin and eye irritation, as well as allergic reactions.”

 

Some hospitals around the United States say they have received a surge in phone calls about exposures to the chemical.

 

“We started getting our first exposures to these test kits around early November,” said Sheila Goertemoeller, pharmacist and clinical toxicologist for the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. “It was, really, all ages.”

 

“Mostly, I’ve been very worried about our young children.”

 

Accidental exposure is occurring among both children and adults, said Dr. Kelly Johnson-Arbor, with the National Capital Poison Center in Washington, told WNEP over the weekend.

 

“People might mistake them for eye drops. Children might drop it onto their skin. Adults will sometimes mistakenly put them into their eyes,” she said.

 

“You don’t want to leave it on the skin because it could potentially cause an allergic reaction or a skin rash.
