Rep. Scott Perry Says FBI Seized His Cell Phone After Mar-a-Lago Raid

 

Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.), an ally of President Donald Trump, says the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized his cellphone a day after it executed a search warrant at Trump’s resort in Mar-a-Lago, Palm Breach.

 

“This morning, while traveling with my family, three FBI agents visited me and seized my cell phone,” reads a statement from Perry’s office. “They made no attempt to contact my lawyer, who would have made arrangements for them to have my phone if that was their wish.”

 

“I’m outraged—though not surprised—that the FBI under the direction of [Attorney General] Merrick Garland’s [Department of Justice (DOJ)], would seize the phone of a sitting Member of Congress,” the congressman said in the statement provided to The Epoch Times.

 

“My phone contains info about my legislative and political activities, and personal/private discussions with my wife, family, constituents, and friends. None of this is the government’s business.”

 

The seizure comes a day after the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. It is not immediately clear if the move is related to the raid or the investigations of the Jan. 6 Committee, which has subpoenaed Perry.

 

“As with President Trump last night, DOJ chose this unnecessary and aggressive action instead of simply contacting my attorneys,” the statement from Perry’s office reads. “These kinds of banana republic tactics should concern every Citizen—especially considering the decision before Congress this week to hire 87,000 new IRS agents to further persecute law-abiding Citizens.”

Former Twitter employee convicted of spying for Saudi Arabia

 

A former Twitter employee has been convicted of failing to register as an agent for Saudi Arabia and other charges after accessing private data on users critical of the kingdom’s government in a spy case that spanned from Silicon Valley to the Middle East.

 

Ahmad Abouammo, a US citizen and former media partnership manager for Twitter’s Middle East region, was charged in 2019 with acting as an agent of Saudi Arabia without registering with the US government. A jury found him guilty on six counts, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. The jury acquitted him on another five charges involving wire fraud.

 

The case marked the first time the kingdom, long linked to the US through its massive oil reserves and regional security arrangements, has been accused of spying in America.

 

A 2019 FBI complaint alleged that Abouammo and Saudi citizen Ali Alzabarah, who worked as an engineer at Twitter, used their positions to access confidential Twitter data about users, their email addresses, phone numbers and IP addresses, the latter of which be used to identify a user’s location.

 

A third man named in the complaint, Saudi citizen Ahmed Al-Mutairi, was alleged to have worked with the Saudi royal family as an intermediary.

 

The US complaint alleged that user data of over 6,000 Twitter accounts was accessed, including at least 33 usernames for which Saudi law enforcement had submitted emergency disclosure requests to Twitter. Abouammo was arrested in November 2019 and released on bond. He had pleaded not guilty. The FBI still lists Al-Mutairi and Alzabarah as wanted.

 

Abouammo’s attorneys and Twitter didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.

Judicial Watch files motion to unseal FBI search warrant for Mar-a-Lago raid

 

“The Biden administration’s raid on President Trump’s home is an outrageous, reckless and unprecedented abuse of power," Tom Fitton said

 

Judicial Watch on Tuesday announced that it filed a motion to unseal the search warrant that the FBI used to raid former President Donald Trump's Florida estate of Mar-a-Lago on Monday evening.

 

Trump confirmed in a statement on Monday evening that FBI agents had entered his home and broke into his private safe.

 

"The are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents," Trump said. "Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before."

 

The watchdog group wrote in its motion that "[t]he public has an urgent and substantial interest in understanding the predicate for the execution of the unprecedented search warrant of the private residence of a former president and likely future political opponent."

 

"[N]o official explanation or information has been released about the search," it continued. "As of the filing of this motion, the public record consists solely of speculation and inuendo [sic]. In short, the historical presumption of access to warrant materials vastly outweighs any interest the government may have in keeping the materials under seal."

 

Sources familiar with the raid confirmed that the FBI agents came from the Washington Field Office and were reportedly seeking classified documents that Trump may have taken from the White House.

 

The Washington Field Office, moreover, has been the subject of intense scrutiny from Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, who has demanded answers from the Bureau over whistleblower claims that former Washington Field Office Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault showed political bias in his handling of investigations.

 

“The Biden administration’s raid on President Trump’s home is an outrageous, reckless and unprecedented abuse of power. And the American people have an urgent right to know how it happened and who is responsible,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a press release announcing the motion.

Facebook gave teen’s private messages about alleged abortion to Nebraska police

 

Meta gave police access to private Facebook messages that allegedly detailed a Nebraska teen’s plans to get an illegal abortion, bolstering local authorities’ cases against the girl and her mother.

 

Mark Zuckerberg’s social-networking giant — which has promised to cover travel costs for its own employees looking to access abortions following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade — complied with a search warrant from Norfolk, Nebraska police in early June, according to court records obtained by The Post.

 

The parent of Facebook and Instagram handed over the records just weeks before the high court’s ruling — and weeks before Zuckerberg reportedly told a company all-hands meeting that “protecting people’s privacy” was “extra salient” in the wake of the Supreme Court decision.

 

Meta — which has has also reportedly told its employees not to discuss abortion at work — gave police access to two accounts belonging to a 17-year-old named Celeste Burgess and her mother, 41-year-old Jessica Burgess, according to court documents.

 

A police detective then found messages between the Burgesses allegedly confirming plans for Celeste to take pills to induce an abortion in April — around 23 weeks into her pregnancy. Nebraska’s legal cutoff for abortion is 20 weeks.

 

“Are we starting it today,” Celeste asked in one of the messages, which were included in court filings.

 

“We can if u want the one will stop the hormones,” Jessica responded.

 

Later on, Celeste allegedly wrote, “Remember we burn the evidence.”

 

“Yep,” Jessica responded.

 

Celeste Burgess, who is now 18, has been charged with removing/concealing/abandoning a dead human body, concealing the death of another person and false reporting.

 

Her mother has been charged with performing or attempting an abortion greater than 20 weeks, performing an abortion when not a licensed doctor, removing/concealing/abandoning a dead human body, concealing the death of another person and false reporting.

I've always thought that a number of The Bill of Rights had their roots started in the French & Indian War, which was really a continuation of The Hundred Years War, by proxy. BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Republican Congressman Chris Jacobs, who represents New York’s 27th district and announced his candidacy for New York’s 23rd district in May 2022, announced Friday he will no longer be running for the new district.

Jacobs, an Orchard Park native, recently spoke out against the sale of AR-15s following the white supremacist mass shooting at the Jefferson Avenue Tops Markets location in Buffalo and a mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas that killed 19 children and two teachers.

NYS Conservative Chairman Gerard Kassar called Jacobs’ position on guns “unsatisfactory” and Erie County Conservative Chairman Ralph Lorigo called it “very disappointing,” adding, “We can’t support him in this district.”

 

Tompkins County legislator Mike Sigler announced Tuesday he would be challenging Jacobs for NY-23 in the primary, however, on News 4 at 4 Friday, he said he would be stepping aside to put his support behind NYS Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy. The Buffalo News reported earlier this week that Langworthy may consider a run, though he has not formally announced his candidacy.

We now know that more fully, thanks to Father Mankowski, a Jesuit even more brilliant than Father Drinan, who died suddenly in September 2020.

The collection is a worthy introduction for those who haven’t read Father Mankowski — and a cause for regret that they didn’t read him earlier.

 

The most remarkable part of the book is a previously unpublished memorandum from April 2007, sent by Father Mankowski to some of his friends, entitled: “The Drinan Candidacy and the New England Province Archives.” Though he never published it himself, given his troubles with his Jesuit superiors, he clearly wanted an accurate record to be available for posterity.

 

That record is now available. It makes clear what many Catholics regarded as a scandal in the 1970s was actually much worse.

Obama Treasury Secretary Blames 'Insurrection'-Deniers For Inflation, Warns US At "Risk Of Recession" In The Next Year

 

Former Obama administration Treasury Secretary Larry Summers predicted the United States will enter an economic recession and suggested the possibility of yet higher gas prices than the country is currently seeing.

 

“I think the optimists were wrong a year ago in saying we have no inflation and I think they are wrong now if anyone is highly confident that we are going to avoid recession,” he said on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, adding that Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s predictions are “too optimistic.”

 

A combination of high inflation and low unemployment is “always followed within two years by recession,” Summer said, adding,

 

“I think there is certainly a risk of recession in the next year and I think given where we have gotten to, it is more likely than not that we will have a recession in the next two years.”

 

Finally, Summers has found a new culprit behind America’s inflation crisis: Republicans who downplay the severity of the January 2021 US Capitol riot.

 

“I think the banana Republicans who are saying that what happened on January 6 was nothing or OK are undermining the basic credibility of our country’s institutions,” Summers said on Sunday in a CNN interview.

 

“And that, in turn, feeds through for inflation. Because if you can’t trust the country’s government, why should you trust its money?”

In her current unspecified role, the White House visitor logs clearly portray that Lang regularly holds private meetings with top foreign policy and national security elites. Of the 308 meetings she has personally hosted as of February 2022 (the last publicly available tranche of meetings), some of her visitors have included William Burns, director of the Central Intelligence Agency; Colin Kahl, U.S. undersecretary of defense for policy; and Philip Etienne, French ambassador to the United States.

Lang has also met with numerous prominent political scientists and experts specializing in geopolitical risk, nuclear threats, terrorism, and economic sanctions.

Donilon and Lang have been in close contact since at least 2010, when Donilon was national security adviser to the Obama administration, during which he ran the National Security Council to which Lang has been linked. According to a variety of emails obtained from WikiLeaks, Lang was closely apprised of Donilon’s whereabouts, often directly communicating with him in addition to powerful government officials such as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and current National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

As for the recent White House meetings between Donilon and Lang, there are no publicly available records about their purpose, nor have there been public statements made by the Biden administration, BlackRock, or Donilon. Though we have requested further information from BlackRock and the White House, we have yet to receive a response from any of the relevant parties.

These meetings raise serious ethical concerns, especially in light of the stated mission of Donilon’s BlackRock Investment Institute. According to its website, BII “leverages the firm’s expertise and generates proprietary research to provide insights on the global economy, markets, geopolitics and long-term asset allocation – all to help our clients and portfolio managers navigate financial markets.”

In other words, it’s Donilon’s fiduciary responsibility to read the geopolitical tealeaves in order to help BlackRock clients earn a better return on their investments. Such a job would be substantially easier if one had access to regular meetings with officials closely plugged into foreign policy and security decision-making, a benefit Donilon has clearly attained.

The fact that an important figure at BlackRock held numerous closed-door meetings at the White House throughout 2021 is disconcerting enough, but Donilon’s connections to the Biden administration run much deeper than monthly meetings with policymakers.

Not only did Donilon work alongside Biden in the Obama administration as national security adviser, he was also reportedly on Biden’s shortlist to become CIA director. His brother, Mike Donilon, is the senior adviser to the president and one of Biden’s closest confidantes. Mike served as Biden’s chief strategist throughout the 2020 presidential campaign.

Thomas Donilon’s wife, Cathy Russell, was the head of the powerful White House personnel office during Biden’s first year in office, though she left the administration to become executive director of UNICEF on Feb. 1, 2022. As the director of the Presidential Personnel Office, Russell was vested with the important task of hiring and vetting administration employees.

Coincidentally, Thomas Donilon’s daughter, Sarah, also works in the Biden administration, as a staffer for the National Security Council.

BlackRock’s connections with the Biden administration do not end with the Donilon family. Brian Deese, Biden’s director of the National Economic Council, was formerly global head of sustainable investing at BlackRock. Wally Adeyemo, deputy secretary of the Treasury Department, previously worked as a senior adviser at BlackRock and served as chief of staff to BlackRock Chairman and CEO Larry Fink.

Fink also has had at least one unpublicized meeting at the White House in the Biden era. On Feb. 8, 2022, just two weeks before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Fink met with Steve Ricchetti, counselor to the president and a man dubbed “Biden’s sherpa” by Politico. Again, there are no media reports or acknowledgment of this meeting occurring.

Why are members of the Biden administration meeting frequently with key figures at BlackRock? Have the close relationships between BlackRock executives and the White House impacted public policy? Has BlackRock profited financially from these important relationships? Has BlackRock worked with the White House to influence policy towards Russia, or used information gleaned from White House sources to divest themselves from riskier holdings?

Twitter Fascists Release Statement: They Don’t Care that Elon Musk Is On Board – They Will Continue to Censor Conservatives and Trump Is Not Coming Back

 

For years Twitter has censored, shadowbanned and deleted top conservative accounts on the platform.

 

For years they said it was because of hate speech or fake news or unapproved opinions. Twitter would then be proven wrong on almost everything they previously censored.

 

Twitter deleted The Gateway Pundit, President Trump, James O’Keefe, Alex Jones, Owen Shroyer, Infowars, and several prominent conservative accounts over the past 5 years. Most conservative accounts are censored or shadowbanned.

 

On Monday there was new hope that Twitter would change its fascist ways when Elon Musk became the company’s top shareholder.

 

On Tuesday Twitter squashed that noise and released a statement vowing to never let President Trump back on their platform again.

Free speech means nothing to these people.
