I use to be on about 4 yrs ago and closed my account. I am not a social person and only used it for a business I was interested in. I decided to get back on this week and I have been suspended twice now. The first time they wanted my phone number. I gave it to them(this was this morning) just got suspended again and now they want my photo. I wouldn't care and would tell them to FO except for the knowledge and contacts that do business there and work out if it.

The Presidentโ€™s State of the Union address shows he is a symptom of Americaโ€™s problems, just like his predecessor

Joe Biden conducted his State of the Union address on Tuesday night. A staple trait of Bidenโ€™s presidency is that he repeatedly claims that he is making things better for ordinary Americans. In his own words, he isโ€ฆโ€œdelivering for familiesโ€. He frames himself as an FDR style titan who is reinvigorating the US following troubled times, and, in his words, making it โ€œmore competitiveโ€ than ever.

 

In reality,his statements could not be further from the truth.The United States is in chaos and the Biden admin faces painfully low approval ratings, crippling levels of inflation, weak 2022 GDP and a looming recession.

 

Whatever the expectations of Joe Biden were, he hasproved himself to be the most dangerous and hawkish Democrat leading the US since Harry Truman. As America tears itself apart at home, it is also doing so abroad.

 

When Joe Biden entered office, many people expected he would be different than Donald Trump. After four years of what the media described as chaos and internal turmoil in America, Biden was heralded as a breath of fresh air who would be normal, sane and moderate.What these arguments actively overlooked was that Donald Trump was not the problem, but rather a symptom of broader American failure and decline. As the world has changed, in particular through the lingering impact of globalized neoliberal capitalism, digitization and shifts in the geopolitical balance of power, the United States has struggled to assert a coherent identity amidst a changing world which has produced deep divisions and large-scale political conflict.

 

This is theera of โ€œpost-truthโ€, and as a result, Joe Biden is not in fact better than Trump, he is infinitely worse. Biden on the other hand, cares for nothing, and has no guardrails. Sure, he might wear a smile, he might not call people nasty names on Twitter, butit is this faรงade which hides the dangerous policymakingin the White House that has actually left Americans worse off than Trump ever managed to do. It seems unlikely given the circumstances that Trump would have ever allowed the Russia-Ukraine war to happen, and he has made it clear multiple times that if he were President, it wouldnโ€™t have happened.

 

In some ways, the sheer incompetence of the opposition has, despite dire circumstances, allowed Biden to also be incredibly lucky. For a President who has low approval ratings, overseeing a dire economic situation, he landed on his feet in the November midterm elections, his party even seizing control of the Senate.

 

The fact that he continues toproclaim victories where there are none is only indicative of how the US is suffering from a leadership deficit. In this sense, Biden and Trumpโ€™s methodologies may differ but they are both a product of the same broken system that rewards falsehood and ultimately focuses on domestic political point scoring as opposed to real results. If things have changed at all in America throughout the two years of Bidenโ€™s tenure, they have ultimately changed for the worse and pose a threat to the world as a whole. Yet, you would never believe that if you sat and watched his State of the Union address.

According to Nielsen, though, fewer Americans than last year tuned in to see it.

 

About 27.3 million people watched Mr. Bidenโ€™s speech live on television, Nielsen said on Wednesday, the lowest rating for a presidential address to Congress since Mr. Bidenโ€™s first go-round in April 2021. Tuesdayโ€™s audience fell by 29 percent from Mr. Bidenโ€™s previous State of the Union, which drew about 38.2 million viewers.

 

CNN, with 2.4 million viewers, suffered the biggest decline compared with a year ago, losing about half of its audience from 2022. That year, CNNโ€™s viewership topped that of NBC and MSNBC. On Tuesday, CNN was the lowest-rated of the major networks, except for Foxโ€™s broadcast affiliates.

 

But CNN did beat its rival MSNBC among 25- to 54-year-old viewers, a coveted demographic that matters most to advertisers.

 

Fox News attracted the biggest audience of the night, while CNNโ€™s viewership fell by half from a year ago.

A Connecticut socialite who was imprisoned for secretly recording three minors in her $10million mansion is now walking free.

Hadley Palmer, 54, was sentenced in November to one year in prison and 20 years probation after pleading guilty to three counts of voyeurism and risk of injury to a minor.

But she has since entered a transitional supervision program and was granted early release, officials from the state Department of Corrections told the Daily Beast.

Under the program, which is similar to parole, inmates with sentences of two years or less can serve the remainder of their sentences in a halfway house or with a sponsor.

As a result, Palmer has served less than half of her one-year sentence behind bars, between her 90-day prison stint last spring and the 71 days she completed this winter.

Palmer, a mother of four, was arrested in October 2021 on charges including employing a minor in an obscene performance and second-degree child pornography.

Higher charges of employing a minor in an obscene performance and possession of child pornography were dropped under the deal, in which the hedge fund manager's daughter pleaded guilty to 'knowingly photographing, filming and recording three individuals' in 2017 and 2018 without their knowledge.

According to CNNโ€™s post-speech poll, Bidenโ€™s divisive, dishonest spectacle scored the lowest ratings of any State of the Union since 1998, with just 34 percent saying they had a โ€œvery positiveโ€ reaction.

 

The press, including CNN, did their best to spin the numbers in Bidenโ€™s favor, choosing to focus on the topline number showing 72 percent had a positive reaction. Context is everything, though, and the context of that number is that itโ€™s actually very low compared to other modern presidents, including Donald Trump.

 

Audiences traditionally have a largely positive reaction to State of the Union addresses regardless of who is giving them. Thatโ€™s because they are usually written to deliver a unifying tone and are used as a victory lap, absconding from all the negative policies an administration may be responsible for. That means comparing one president to another is the only way to get an accurate gauge of just how well a State of the Union went over.

 

Ironically, given the visceral hatred of Trump by the press, Bidenโ€™s latest speech not only scores lower than any given by his predecessor, but you have to go all the way back to the year Bill Clinton was impeached to find a lower rating in public polling. Thatโ€™s not something you heard on CNN in the immediate aftermath of Tuesday night, and itโ€™s surprising given how unpopular George W. Bush was in his final years.

 

But I guess thatโ€™s just a testament to how disastrous Joe Bidenโ€™s tenure has been. Contrary to the happy talk from his media allies, the president is not popular. This is just another data point proving it.

Maria Feodorovna was born in October 1759, and in 1776 she married Pavel Petrovich romanov.
