Printer Error Turns Every Registered Voter In Nassau County, New York Democrat

A printer error in Nassau County, New York turned every registered voter in the county Democrat.

The printer reportedly botched over 976,000 voter registration cards and labeled every voter in the county Democrat.

Republicans make up over 60% of registered voters in Nassau County which left many Conservatives in the county feeling absolutely blindsided by the error.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman told NBC 4 News “We’re already starting to get phone calls from people, saying ‘I’m a registered Republican, I’m a registered Conservative – how come I’m being identified as a Democrat? Who changed my registration?’ And they’re quite upset about it.”

Blakeman stated the printing company Phoenix Graphics is to blame for the error.

Phoenix Graphics in a comment said it was a human error that caused the printer to print out botched registration cards and said new registration cards will be mailed out soon.

Per The New York Post:

An upstate printer has once again screwed up downstate election materials, this time by mailing registration cards to Nassau County’s nearly 1 million voters — identifying them all as Democrats.

Democrats make up about 40 percent of the county’s 972,000 voters, according to state Board of Election records from February.

Blakeman ruled out partisanship as a likely cause of the mistake but said the county is investigating what did happen.

This isn’t the first time Phoenix Graphics has had an error regarding botched election materials.

The British lawyer who charged President Vladimir Putin with “war crimes” is now facing charges himself ==

The Russian Interior Ministry on Friday issued an arrest warrant for Karim Asad Ahmad Khan, the British lawyer currently acting as chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.

In March, Khan sought the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, the children’s rights commissioner, for the alleged war crime of “unlawful deportation and transfer” of children from “occupied areas of Ukraine” to Russia.

The ICC had acted on claims by the government in Kiev that Russia’s evacuation of children from civilian areas that were under fire from Ukrainian forces amounted to forcible transfer of population, which was defined as a crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention.

Three days after Khan’s announcement, on March 20, the Russian Investigative Committee launched a probe into the prosecutor, as well as three ICC judges who approved his warrant – Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez. The investigation focused on articles 299 and 360 of the Russian criminal code, namely bringing criminal charges against persons known to be innocent, and preparations for an attack on a representative of a foreign state enjoying international protection in order to complicate international relations.

Moscow has dismissed the ICC warrants against Putin and Lvova-Belova as null and void, as Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute that created the court. Neither are the US, China, India and several dozen other countries.

Democrat Senator Introduces “Ministry of Truth” Bill that Would Create a Federal Agency to Target Americans for “Misinformation” and “Hate Speech” – Violators Would Potentially Face Civil Penalties

The Democratic Party never fails to prove that the American people are their number one enemy and want them perpetually silenced if they dare speak out against them.

A Democrat senator introduced legislation that would create a federal agency that would censor Americans’ speech for “misinformation” and “hate speech” reasons. Think of this as a federal ministry of truth.

The bill, brought forth by Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO), is titled the Digital Platform Commission Act (DPCA). He claims his proposed legislation would “create an expert federal body empowered to provide comprehensive, sector-specific regulation of digital platforms to protect consumers, promote competition, and defend the public interest.”

He elaborated:

The new Federal Digital Platform Commission would have the mandate, jurisdiction, and broad set of tools to develop and enforce thoughtful guardrails for a sector that has been left for too long to write its own rules, with serious consequences for everything from teen mental health to disinformation to anti-competitve practices that have hurt small businesses.

It’s past time for a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to regulating digital platforms that have amassed extraordinary power over our economy, society, and democracy. We should follow the long precedent in American history of empowering an expert body to protect the public interest through common sense rules and oversight for complex and powerful sectors of the economy.

The Commission would have the authority to promulgate rules, impose civil penalties, hold hearings, conduct investigations, and support research. It could also designate ‘systemically important digital platforms’ subject to additional oversight, regulation, and merger review.”

The legislation says that new body, known as the Federal Digital Platform Commission, would have five commissioners appointed by the president and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. It would be “staffed by experts with a background in areas such as computer science, software development, and technology policy.”

Yes, Joe Biden would be appointing these authoritarians with the Democrat Senate likely sending them through.

The news gets worse, though. Bennet’s bill also gives the commission the authority to render civil penalties:

To fulfill its mandate, the Commission would have the authority to promulgate rules, impose civil penalties, hold hearings, conduct investigations, and support research.

Translation: if we catch you spreading questioning vaccine safety or fraudulent elections, we will hit you with fines or worse.

A Twitter account called Reclaim the Net astutely notes, the commission would be establishing behavioral codes and include radical “disinformation” experts.

BofA Gave FBI Access To Jan. 6 Bank Records Without Customers' Knowledge: Whistleblowers

Whistleblowers told Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee that gave Jan. 6 connected bank records to the FBI without customers’ knowledge or consent.

In their testimony, whistleblowers claimed that the FBI had become “enveloped in politicization” and made several claims of “serious abuses” over an extended period of time.

Among those abuses, whistleblowers said that Bank of America (BOA) had transferred information to the FBI on transactions that took place in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021. Customers were not informed of this data transfer.

Firearm Owners Targeted

Those who used their Bank of America accounts to purchase a firearm were reportedly bumped to the top of the list handed over to the FBI.

In a report released on May 18, Republicans revealed whistleblower testimony from retired FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst George Hill, who made the allegations.

“The Bank of America, with no directive from the FBI, data-mined its customer base,” Hill testified, saying that this data mining comprised transactions made between Jan. 5, 2021, and Jan. 7, 2021.

Specifically, they targeted transactions made in Washington or nearby counties in Maryland and Virginia.

Investigators asked Hill, “It’s anyone who used a Bank of America either debit or credit card to conduct a transaction?”

“Right,” Hill replied. “Any transaction. To buy a hot dog. Doesn’t matter.”

Hill then confirmed that those who had purchased a gun “at some point in time, any time” were bumped to the top of the list given to the FBI.

“This list was provided without any legal process to the FBI?”

“Correct,” Hill replied.

“So my understanding of the [FBI Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide] and amateur assessment based on law is that, you know, if a citizen sees a crime in commission, there’s nothing wrong with injecting that and opening up a case. But, to my knowledge, using a debit card in the District [of Columbia] does not provide adequate predication for the investigation of a crime.”

He alleged that “there was no legal process asking for [the information]” and that Bank of America had acted entirely on its own accord.

In their concluding commentary on the report, House Republicans called the testimony “highly alarming.”

“The FBI seemingly worked with a major financial institution to receive, without legal process, financial records about Americans … This invasion of the privacy of American citizens is highly concerning.”

California regulators ordered PG&E Corp. to pay $150 million in total penalties for its role in starting a deadly 2020 wildfire.

PG&E was fined $10 million and will have to use shareholder money to fund $140 million in vegetation management programs, according to a resolution passed Thursday by the California Public Utilities Commission.

The Zogg Fire started when a gray pine fell onto a PG&E power line in the Sierra Nevada Forest. California investigators alleged PG&E failed to remove the tree on time because of poor record- keeping, according to a statement. The wildfire burned more than 56,000 acres and caused four deaths and more than $50 million in damages.

PG&E had disputed the alleged violations. The company said in a statement it shares the commission’s commitment to improve safety and the settlement agreement will allow the utility to focus on efforts to improve its system.

Preventing wildfires and resolving liability from the blazes has weighed heavily on PG&E for years. The company was forced into bankruptcy in 2019 after fires sparked by power lines and transformers destroyed more than 1 million acres and killed scores of people.

A New York Supreme Court judge granted a temporary restraining order against New York City, stopping them from sending more migrants to Orange County, said County Executive Steve Neuhaus.

The order allows the migrants that had been sent to the county since last Thursday to remain where they are, Neuhaus said, adding that more than 180 have arrived in Orange County since Thursday.

"New York City, knowing that the case was under review, tried to flood as many buses up here as possible," Neuhaus said Tuesday.

The ruling came days after a court also ruled in favor of Rockland County’s temporary restraining order against New York City.

In addition to seeking the restraining order, Orange County filed two lawsuits — one against the hotels housing the migrants for allegedly violating the county’s state of emergency order, and one against New York City for setting up, what the county claims, is a homeless shelter outside of the city’s jurisdiction.

The order also requires the city to provide information on the 186 migrants sent to Orange County. According to Neuhaus, that’s nearly triple the number New York City Mayor Eric Adams originally told him last week would be sent to the town of Newburgh.

Neuhaus said the county lacks basic personal information on the people staying at the hotels.

"There are a lot of unanswered qeuestions, but this is a major, major decision," the county executive said.

Neuhaus said the order will hold until the city provides Orange County with more information about the migrants, such as their names and ages.

“I got a phone call from the mayor's office that they are flooded with people, and they were going to send upwards of seven buses on their way up here," the Orange County Republican said. "Literally, as I'm being briefed by the county attorney and I said before you send those buses or anybody else in New York City to Orange County, you better talk to your attorney. And the guy was like, ‘Why?’ I said, ‘Well, the Supreme Court just made a decision that no more can be shipped up here.’ And he was floored.”

Aaron Narraph Fernando, who is a member of the grassroots advocacy group For The Many, said the ruling is disappointing because of the lack of communication on all sides. But it is a positive that this ruling will not force the migrants already bused to Orange County to relocate again.

“A lot of the migrants have already found work," he said. "They're already getting involved in Newburgh and in the community. So it would be really terrible if they were forced out of Newburgh and had to relocate yet again,” Fernando said.

The ruling can be appealed by New York City. The city has until June 2 to respond.

A magnitude 2.2 earthquake was felt in parts of New York and New Jersey early Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey told CNN.

The earthquake occurred at 2 a.m. around northwest Yonkers and along the Hudson River in New York, and was felt in New Jersey, according to Randy Baldwin, a geophysicist at the USGS’s National Information Center in Golden, Colorado.

USGS received 200 alerts on its website from people who felt the earthquake, most of which were reported within a 15-mile radius from the epicenter, Baldwin said.

“It’s pretty common – you might get several quakes a month, a handful of quakes at random locations,” Baldwin said.

The Yonkers fire commissioner’s office confirmed that while dispatch did receive a few calls, it was largely for noise, with one caller phoning in an alleged blown transformer. Personnel were sent to the area but found no injuries, the Yonkers Fire Department spokesperson confirmed. There were no calls in Hastings-on-Hudson, Hastings Fire Secretary Jean Schnibbe told CNN.

Ibuprofen Shrinks Testicles, Lowers Testosterone, Linked to Infertility

The commonly prescribed painkiller and anti-inflammatory, ibuprofen, has been linked to shrinking testicles, lowered testosterone levels and infertility issue in a shocking study.

With plummeting testosterone levels and skyrocketing infertility levels, the revelation adds fuel to the fire, as fitness coaches and health gurus scramble to draw attention to the looming disaster.

In 2018, it was estimated that 15% of Americans take too much Ibuprofen — with the recommended daily limit being 3200mg per day. Additionally, Americans take an estimated 30 billion doses of painkillers similar to and including Ibuprofen which totals 16.5 million prescriptions.

Researchers from Denmark and France found in the paper Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that prolonged use of the commonly consumed painkiller could have some nasty side effects.

Net Doctor reported: “The small study, made up of just 31 male participants aged 18 to 35 years old, showed that taking ibuprofen increased the risk of compensated hypogonadism – a hormone imbalance whereby an individual has higher levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) than testosterone.

“For the research, participants were split into two groups. one group received 600mg or ibuprofen twice a day two weeks before and 30 days after an exercise session while the other acted as a control group. For the ibuprofen group, blood tests showed an 18% decrease in testosterone after 14 days, rising to a 23% decrease after 44 days.”

What is particularly alarming about the study is the participants were consuming around a third of what is considered a safe daily dose.

According to the study:

Concern has been raised over increased male reproductive disorders in the Western world, and the disruption of male endocrinology has been suggested to play a central role.

Several studies have shown that mild analgesics exposure during fetal life is associated with antiandrogenic effects and congenital malformations, but the effects on the adult man remain largely unknown. Through a clinical trial with young men exposed to ibuprofen, we show that the analgesic resulted in the clinical condition named “compensated hypogonadism,” a condition prevalent among elderly men and associated with reproductive and physical disorders.

In the men, luteinizing hormone (LH) and ibuprofen plasma levels were positively correlated, and the testosterone/LH ratio decreased. Using adult testis explants exposed or not exposed to ibuprofen, we demonstrate that the endocrine capabilities from testicular Leydig and Sertoli cells, including testosterone production, were suppressed through transcriptional repression. This effect was also observed in a human steroidogenic cell line.

Our data demonstrate that ibuprofen alters the endocrine system via selective transcriptional repression in the human testes, thereby inducing compensated hypogonadism.

Beef Company CEO: “I’ll Shut Down the Company Before We Ship a Single Bag With mRNA-Injected Meat”

Quickly but quietly, Big Pharma and various state governments are working to inject beef and dairy cattle with mRNA “vaccines.” The practice has been happening with pork since 2018 and beef is next on the agenda.

Jason Nelson, CEO of Whole Cows, has been watching the developments closely. His Texas company, which specializes in shelf-stable freeze-dried meat for long-term storage, has vowed to never allow gene therapied cattle to enter the food supply through their products (plus, the Liberty Daily benefits when you purchase from them through this link and the links below).

“I’ll shut down the company before we ship a single bag of mRNA-injected meat,” he said. “That’s why we’re growing as quickly as possible so we can achieve the buying power to produce large amounts. We’re relatively small now but we want to have a surplus of tens of thousands of bags of beef by 2024.”

The pushes for both transparency and to halt the push for mRNA-jabbed beef have hit roadblocks recently. In Missouri, a bill that would have forced labeling of beef injected with mRNA vaccines was stalled in committee. According to Todd Neeley at DTN:

A bill at the center of a vaccine controversy in the state of Missouri was voted down in a committee of the state’s house of representatives this week. The Missouri House Committee on Emerging Issues voted 10-4 against HB1169 on Wednesday, effectively ending the bill’s chance for passage in the current session.

Among many other stipulations, the bill would have required all beef derived from Missouri cattle to include labels detailing vaccines cattle received throughout their life. HB1169 also would have applied to commodities produced using GMO corn and soybeans.

Unfortunately, cattle and rancher associations across the nation have ignored concerns from both consumers and producers. Currently, most state rancher associations are either silent on the issue or in favor of advancing Big Pharma’s agenda.

“Our goal at Whole Cows is to give the people healthy, natural, delicious proteins they can eat today or store for decades,” Nelson continued. “We can’t fulfill that promise if the beef has been tainted, so we’re taking every step necessary to keep the jabs away from our cattle.”

Dr. Joseph Mercola, who has been a heavy proponent of natural foods his entire career, has been raising the alarm bell about the risks of the burgeoning threat to the food supply in America. As he recently noted:

Moving forward, it’s going to be extremely important to stay on top of what’s happening to our food supply. Many of us were surprised to realize mRNA shots have been used in swine for several years already. Soon, cattle may get these customizable mRNA shots as well, which could affect both beef and dairy products.

For now, I strongly recommend avoiding pork products. In addition to the uncertainty surrounding these untested mRNA “vaccines,” pork is also very high in linoleic acid, a harmful omega-6 fat that drives chronic disease. Hopefully, cattle ranchers will realize the danger this mRNA platform poses to their bottom-line and reject it. If they don’t, finding beef and dairy that has not been “gene therapied” could become quite the challenge.

Ultimately, if we want to be free, and if we want food safety and food security, we must focus our efforts on building a decentralized system that connects communities with farmers who grow real food in sustainable ways and distribute that food locally.

Nelson concurs, which is why his company currently only works with local Texas ranchers. The plan is to expand to Utah or Idaho where cattle is more likely to be protected for longer than even in Texas.

“When the industry starts adopting mRNA jabs for cattle, it’s going to happen quickly and the people won’t be warned,” he said. “We’re keeping our finger on the pulse and remaining nimble so we can jump to a safe haven state when necessary. Texas is safe today but there are risks everywhere.”

FTC accuses fertility tracking app with sharing data with China, Google

A complaint by the Federal Trade Commission accuses popular fertility tracking app Premom of illegally sharing private data.

In the complaint, the agency says the app, developed by Easy Healthcare, has been sharing private information with Google and Chinese analytic companies since 2018. Easy Healthcare shared data about users’ reproductive health, pregnancy status and other health-related information that could identify users.

The sharing of individual users’ private information violates the company’s own privacy policy, according to the FTC. The policy promised to share only data that could not be used to identify an individual user.

Governments paid $195 billion for Covid Vaccines which caused 36 million deaths

Ballpark figures compiled by retired investment consultant Peter Halligan on his Substack page titled ‘Peter’s Newsletter’ show that covid, now that all is officially said and done, completely drained the economy of its lifeblood while callously ending the lives of millions upon millions of people in the name of “public health.”

One major elephant in the room as far as the death counts go is that people were mostly still alive until the rollout of vaccination programmes. Once that happened and the injections started going into people’s arms, deaths began to skyrocket.

Halligan uses publicly available high-level information to establish global “ballpark” estimates of:

the number of covid deaths that could have been avoided using ivermectin, for example, as a treatment – 6 million;

deaths by covid vaccination – 36 million; and,

the cost of administering safe and effective treatment, ivermectin, versus the cost of unsafe and ineffective covid “vaccines” – $160 million versus $195,000 million.

Please note: Although we’re sure Halligan would appreciate constructive feedback, his intention is not to produce estimates that are precise or will withstand in-depth scrutiny, he is merely attempting to provide an overview that will make us think about the enormity of the crimes that have been committed since the covid era began.

“Covid Deaths”

Worldometer data shows that as of 30 December 2020, total deaths were still under two million. One year later in late 2021, however, the cumulative number of deaths recorded nearly tripled, reaching 5,488,817. And one year after that in December of 2022, more than 1.2 million were added to the official death count which increased to 6,714,164.

Bear in mind that 95% of the almost 2 million covid deaths during 2020 had 2-6 comorbidities, Halligan said. Also, the average age at the time of death was 1-2 years longer than the average life expectancy and the RT-PCR test was not intended to determine infections and therefore the cause of death.

Are Halligan’s assumptions wild exaggerations? A cursory look at some publications indicates they are not.

In the UK, as reported in The Telegraph in November 2020, the average life expectancy is 81.1 years, according to the Office for National Statistics. And the average age of coronavirus victims was 82.4 years, 1.3 years older than life expectancy.

In May 2021, Aljazeera reported that more than 80% of covid deaths occurred in people over the age of 65. Aljazeera doesn’t note the period the statistics refer to we could assume it was current at the time of the report. Aljazeera goes on to note that although age is the biggest risk factor for becoming seriously ill with covid, certain underlying health conditions, known as “comorbidities”, also increase the risk of becoming seriously ill.

Using comorbidity data from the public health websites of fifty US States, a 2021 paper estimated that 92.8% of covid deaths up to December 2020 were associated with pre-existing comorbidity. But certain comorbidities also increase the risk of becoming seriously ill “as a result of catching covid.” The study authors noted that “the risk of mortality associated with at least one comorbidity combined was 1113 times higher than that with no comorbidity.”

US General: Israeli-Made Iron Dome System Ready For Deployment in Ukraine

One of two Israeli-manufactured Iron Dome batteries owned by the Pentagon is ready to be deployed to Ukraine, a US general told the Senate on Thursday. Tel Aviv has so far refused to supply the anti-missile system to Kiev, for fear of provoking Russia and risking its ability to freely bomb Moscow’s ally Syria.

During a Senate Strategic Forces subcommittee hearing on Thursday, Senator Angus King pressed a senior Pentagon official on why Ukraine has not yet received the Iron Dome, noting the US role in creating the air defense system.

“We sent something like $3 billion to Israel to develop it… Wouldn’t this be a very important resource for the Ukrainians since their principal problem right now is missile defense?” the lawmaker asked.

Army Space and Missile Defense Command chief General Daniel Karbler replied that there are currently two Iron Dome batteries in US inventories, one of which is now ready for transfer to Kiev.

“One completed new equipment training, new equipment fielding. It is prepared for deployment. The other one is wrapping up its new equipment training right now. So the army does have one available for deployment if we get a request,” he said.

While the US has spent some $2.6 billion to fund the Iron Dome since 2011, it is produced in Israel, and Washington must seek Tel Aviv’s approval before any transfer to a third country. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly urged Israel to supply the system since Russia’s invasion commenced last year, but Tel Aviv has been reluctant to fulfill the requests, which could jeopardize its delicate relations with Moscow.

For years, Israel has dropped bombs on Syria – a key Russian ally in the Middle East – on a near-weekly basis. Tel Aviv claims its constant airstrikes are needed to counter Iranian proxies in the country, though they routinely kill Syrian soldiers and civilians and have damaged civil infrastructure such as airports.

Russia still maintains a significant military presence in Syria, having intervened at the request of President Bashar al-Assad in 2015 to help beat back al-Qaeda affiliated militants and Islamic State fighters waging a dirty war on Damascus. The terrorist forces that carried out the failed regime change attempt were supported often by the CIA and its allies, including Israel.

Moscow has provided air defense systems to Syria but still permits Tel Aviv’s weekly attacks. The Israelis have launched hundreds of air raids in the country since its civil war began, and would prefer to maintain its “freedom of action” in the region rather than risk provoking the Kremlin with military aid to Ukraine.

Federal executive officials entered the act too. Not just with emergency immigration decrees. They deployed a public-health agency to regulate landlord-tenant relations nationwide. They used a workplace-safety agency to issue a vaccination mandate for most working Americans. They threatened to fire noncompliant employees, and warned that service members who refused to vaccinate might face dishonorable discharge and confinement. Along the way,it seems federal officials may have pressured social-media companies to suppress information about pandemic policies with which they disagreed.

While executive officials issued new emergency decrees at a furious pace, state legislatures and Congress—the bodies normally responsible for adopting our laws—too often fell silent. Courts bound to protect our liberties addressed a few—but hardly all—of the intrusions upon them.

Former California teacher pleads guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material after HSI investigation

SANTA ANA, Calif. — A former Southern California elementary school teacher and high school wrestling coach pleaded guilty May 15 to possessing child sexual abuse material, including at least one video portraying masochistic sexual conduct involving a child.

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Los Angeles investigated the case.

“This individual egregiously violated a trust given to those that educate our children,” said HSI Los Angeles acting Special Agent in Charge Eddy Wang. “With little regard for the lifetime impact on victims of child abuse, he has made it clear he belongs behind bars where he can no longer victimize children.”

Richard O’Connor, 45, of Anaheim, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.

O’Connor was formerly employed as a fourth-grade teacher at Crescent Elementary School in Anaheim, California, and volunteered as a boys’ wrestling coach at Canyon High School, also located in Anaheim. He is not accused of victimizing students.

According to his plea agreement, in October 2022, law enforcement served a federal search warrant on Apple Inc. for the contents of O’Connor’s Apple iCloud account. A forensic review of O’Connor’s iCloud account identified at least 81 videos and 158 images of child sexual abuse material. O’Connor admitted in his plea agreement that several of the videos and images in his iCloud account depicted infants or toddlers as well as violent, sadistic and masochistic conduct.

O’Connor further admitted in his plea agreement that he knew that at least three of the videos he possessed depicted minors engaged in sexual conduct. He also admitted to possessing at least one video that portrayed a child engaged in sadistic or masochistic conduct, particularly bondage.

U.S. District Judge David O. Carter scheduled sentencing for Dec. 18, at which time O’Connor will face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison and will be required to register as a sex offender.

Federal prosecutors have agreed to recommend to the court that O’Connor be sentenced to a term of imprisonment no higher than five years.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa S. Rabbani of the Santa Ana Branch Office is prosecuting this case.

New Index Tracks How Friendly Companies are to Certain Views

Scoring system will help faith-based and conservative institutions fight discrimination in loaning and business practices.

For years, JPMorgan Chase has had its thumb on the scale of the culture wars through an unfair practice called “de-banking.” By rejecting payment processes and closing accounts of politically conservative and religious organizations and individuals, Chase has attempted to silence those voices and views from public debate.

Assessing Diversity of Thought

In response to institutions like Chase, the Alliance Defending Freedom has developed the Viewpoint Diversity Score Business Index. The index assesses 75 corporations on diversity of thought in the workplace. ADF has also led an effort to bring a resolution to the Chase shareholder meeting today — a resolution that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission had to rule to be included in the vote. If passed by shareholders, the resolution would “ensur(e) equal treatment of the financial giant’s customers regardless of their religious and political beliefs.”

Despite the claim by Chase and others to value diversity, inclusion, and difference of opinion, the reality is different. Just last year, the transaction giant PayPal announced it would fine customers $2,500 for what it deemed as “misinformation,” a policy that has since been revoked.

Corporate Interests Play Ideological Favorites

Though it didn’t make as many headlines, Chase Bank went even further. The biggest U.S. bank, which serves over 66 million households, denied payment processing to the Republican-associated Defense of Liberty for hosting an event with former President Donald Trump. Chase also closed the accounts of the Arkansas Family Council, the family of retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, and the National Committee for Religious Freedom, a nonpartisan, faith-based nonprofit that boasts members who are Christians, Muslims, Hindus, and Jewish.

According to former Kansas governor Sam Brownback, the chairman of the NCRF, no clear reason was provided by Chase for closing these accounts. However, the bank eventually informed them that they “would be willing to reconsider doing business with the NCRF if we would provide our donor list, a list of political candidates we intended to support, and a full explanation of the criteria by which we would endorse and support those candidates.“

Other organizations, including the Colson Center, have been canceled or rejected by service providers, tech companies, and insurance providers, typically with much-more vaguely stated justifications.

Public Accountability for Viewpoint Discrimination

Regardless of politics, no one should be comfortable with corporate interests playing ideological favorites in this way. Thankfully, 14 state financial officers and 19 state attorneys general have called on Chase to stop this discrimination. Their words and actions will have more teeth because of the carefully crafted methodology of the Viewpoint Diversity Score Business Index and the team of research analysts and corporate engagement specialists behind it. Not only will Chase, Meta, Microsoft, and other major corporations be held publicly accountable for viewpoint discrimination, but they will be given guidance in the form of policies and practices to better honor a diversity of viewpoints for employees, clients, vendors, and suppliers.

By the way, Chase received a score of just 15% on the index, and only two companies did better than 25%. Much of the low scoring had to do with the lack of transparency concerning policies toward diversity of thought. Though transparency is often touted by companies supporting progressive causes, no one has kept these companies accountable for their discrimination until now. The index scores companies in three broad areas of “market,” “workplace,” and “public square” using 42 performance indicators. “Workplace” was the lowest scoring area for Chase, mainly because their diversity, equity, and inclusion reporting does not incorporate viewpoint diversity. Among the companies indexed are Amazon, Airbnb, Apple, Goldman Sachs, Snap Inc., Twitter, Visa, and Oracle.

Each corporation’s assessment page includes the company address, shareholder phone number, and email address.
