The deliberate termination of pregnancy is tantamount to murder, the Russian Orthodox Church said in a statement released on Wednesday, arguing that there is no “right to abortion.”

 

The document was released as church leaders, conservative activists and some politicians have been calling for restrictions on abortion in Russia, or even a total ban.

 

“The church unequivocally equates arbitrary surgical or medical abortion to murder, regardless of the method or the length of pregnancy,” said the document adopted by the church’s governing body, the Holy Synod. “For that reason, it is unacceptable to proclaim ‘a right to abortion’, which means ‘a right to murder’.”

 

The church further rejected the pro-choice argument that terminating a pregnancy should be allowed up until the embryo reaches a certain stage of development.

It has been revealed that thousands of illegal immigrants have been arrested in the two years since Governor Greg Abbott authorized an operation that allowed law enforcement to arrest anyone who entered the country by trespassing on people's properties along the southern border.

According to Fox News, nearly 10,000 illegal migrants have been apprehended via the "arrest and jail" initiative, which gave those who owned land next to the border the option to enter into agreements with state authorities giving the latter the right to arrest anyone found crossing into the US via the properties and charge them with misdemeanor trespassing.

 

"When people start learning about this, they're going to stop coming across the Texas border," Abbott said upon passing the law in July 2021.

 

That year, there were 1.2 million crossings recorded between Mexico and Texas. Contrary to what Abbott predicted, that number has actually gone up under Biden administration policies. In Fiscal Year 2023, over 1.5 million people crossed the border.

 

The Texas Department of Public Safety, which is in charge of overseeing the trespassing arrests, has nonetheless defended the program, with spokeswoman Ericka Miller pointing out that many of those apprehended were gang members, sex offenders, and human traffickers.

 

"Had we not been there, all of it likely would have crossed into the country unimpeded," Miller said in a statement to the Associated Press. "The state of Texas is working to send a message to those considering crossing into the country illegally to think again."

 

Under the new set of laws, which Abbott signed on December 20, police will "crack down on repeated attempts to enter Texas by creating the offense of illegal reentry," essentially making it a crime punishable at the state level to illegally enter Texas from a foreign nation.

 

Those who break the law can be penalized with up to 20 years in prison.

 

Authorities will also be able to "order an offender to return to the foreign nation from which the person entered or attempted to enter this state," and, "provides civil immunity and indemnification for local and state government officials, employees, and contractors for lawsuits resulting from the enforcement of these provisions."

Hundreds of pro-Palestine demonstrators marched at Times Square and then in a walk from Zuccotti Park to the World Trade Center, continuing protests in a week where anti-Israel marchers have shut down traffic at JFK Airport. This is long but please read because I need help from anons. I am just a plain American citizen and have been participating here in some way since the beginning, lurking, digging shit posting, whining, etc., and I have had some notables as well.

 

I have been given some information related to criminal activity in several states, which is in my opinion a national security threat and I really believe President Trump could be in danger.

 

I tried to call President Trump at Bedminster and at Mar-a-Lago without any success, and then I wrote a two-page letter to LT. Governor Dan Patrick - TX, which I did not include here, explaining the scope and nature of the information I have in my possession, thinking he was the most appropriate person in my state to give the information to and also believing he would pass it on to Governor Abbott, Senator Ted Cruz, and other Republican Governors who I thought would be concerned and take action, which of course would include getting it to President Trump. Giant red pill. I never heard from him, despite having sent the letter to his personal residence because he lives very close to where I lived and because I thought there was a better chance of the letter actually getting into his hands.

 

About two weeks later, I then took the letter that I wrote to LT. Governor Patrick and wrote a cover letter, addressed to President Trump (CoverLetterPresidentTrump.jpg), and sent it to General Flynn at his personal residence, along with my contact info, hoping he would read between the lines, and realize I was trying to get very important and time sensitive information to President Trump, and needed someone with direct access to him to deliver it to him ASAP. Red pill 2, nothing happened.

 

Then, I revised the cover letter, addressed to President Trump, (RevisedCoverLetterPresidentTrump) explaining that I had sent the letter first to the LT. Governor and then to General Flynn, and sent it to President Trump at Mar-a-Lago, on May 21, and ultimately got the same response. Nothing.

 

At this point, I don't believe President Trump received any of my messages or my letter, and the thought occurred to me that the Q post that said POTUS was 100% insulated might not be entirely a good thing. It could mean nothing gets to him unless whoever is insulating him thinks he should see it.

 

In addition, I am in some trouble, I think serious trouble, for having this information, because some of the criminals know I have it, and are stalking me, and my phone is totally compromised. My family members don’t get my phone calls, and I don’t get any from them, and it seems like they are preventing me from getting this information to law enforcement, and as difficult as it is for me to believe this, I think some law enforcement is actually involved and others are helping cover for them. I think my life is in danger.

 

I don’t know if I believe President Trump or Dan Scavino ever checks in on this place, but I am posting the images of the cover letters that I mailed to General Flynn and President Trump here, and I am hoping anons will share these on other sites, like you would a meme, hoping that President Trump will somehow see them and has a magic way to find out where I am, because I don’t have a permanent address right now (not for three years ☹) and my phone is fucked.

Mexican authorities stood down any efforts to contain a new migrant caravan that embarked this week from the southern part of Mexico. Authorities are currently escorting the groups and providing crowd control. Calling themselves the Poverty Exodus (Exodo de la Pobreza), the caravan, which is made up of more than 6,000 migrants, left the city of Tapachula, Chiapas, on Christmas Eve. The caravan is making its way north. In various parts of the journey, the migrants waved a banner with the caravan’s name and carried a white cross. Members of the group made public claims that their goal was to reach the United States for economic reasons.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which many Jewish conservatives have rebuked as “leftists” and not “Jewish,” has longed to establish anti-Zionism as antisemitism in accordance with the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA). Its working definition is certainly broad and, of course, includes anti-Zionism.

 

This conflating of anti-Zionism with antisemitism has been the ultimate crutch for the Zionist agenda, although support for US intervention continues to dwindle despite corporate media’s unabashed cheerleading.

 

Recall only a few months ago, during the #BanTheADL campaign, this appeared as a censorship problem. The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro ushered a space with Elon Musk and nine Jewish leaders to discuss “antisemitism, faith and free speech.”

 

The two-hour space was purely dedicated to antisemitism, as the nine explicitly told the owner of X that he simply didn’t understand the “sensitively of the Jewish people.”

POPE FRANCIS spoke of his "sadness" for hundreds of thousands of victims of child sex abuse carried out by clergy in France's Catholic Church.

The pontiff expressed personal shame at the sheer scale of the attacks, which are thought to have been carried out on around 330,000 children between 1950 and 2020.

A damning 2,500-page report, which was released on Tuesday, found that nuns used crucifixes to rape young girls during decades of abuse which was covered up by a 'veil of silence'.

 

" I wish to express to the victims my sadness and pain for the trauma they have suffered," Francis said during his weekly audience at the Vatican on Wednesday.

"And also, my shame, our shame, my shame, for the inability of the Church for too long to put them at the centre of its concerns.

"I pray and we all pray together - to you Lord the glory, to us the same. This is the time for shame."

 

The report found that the 'vast majority' of victims were pre-pubescent boys from a variety of social backgrounds. In total, an estimated 216,000 boys were sexually abused over the 70 year stretch.

80% of the victims were boys aged between 10 and 13. Their abusers were mainly priests, monks and deacons.

 

A victim named 'Marie' testified that she was abused by a nun as an 11-year-old, and that when she complained to her parents, they refused to believed that a nun would be capable of such behaviour. As such, the abuse continued for another year.

"I was 11, and looked 9. She would choose me once every two or three times," recalls Marie.

"She would take me to her office, lock the door, and then draw the curtains. After which she would put me on her knees to make me read the gospel according to Saint Paul or another saint, while she squeezed me with one hand to her chest and pulled down my panties with the other hand.

"It terrified me. [I was] paralysed."

"I was truly [a gift] for this nun… because she knew full well that she didn't risk anything."

 

Two years of investigative work went in to the report, which has uncovered a devastatingly shameful core of the French Catholic Church, and the findings have prompted ripples of outrage throughout the world.

It is 6 June 1969 and Spain is living through the final years of Franco’s dictatorship. At a clinic in Madrid, a woman gives birth to a baby girl she will never see again.

Little is known about what happened to the mother – but almost 50 years later, her daughter Inés Madrigal has just given evidence in a shocking trial.

 

In the dock was Dr Eduardo Vela, an 85-year-old former gynaecologist accused of stealing Inés from her biological mother.

Vela is alleged to have given the baby as a “gift” to a couple, the Madrigals, who were unable to have their own children. He denies the charges.

 

Despite the cinematic plot, this is not an isolated case. A network of baby trafficking is believed to have involved a vast network of doctors, nurses, nuns and priests.

Although there is no official figure, the SOS Stolen Babies association estimates that as many as 300,000 babies were taken from their parents in Spain between 1939 and the 1990s.

 

Now 49, Inés Madrigal works for the association and is the first “stolen baby” to successfully take an alleged perpetrator of one of these crimes to court.

The roots of these crimes date back from the origins of Francoism when Spanish fascists were trying to prove eugenic theories of dissidents’ mental inferiority.

It was a thesis defended by the military psychiatrist Antonio Vallejo-Nágera – aka “the Spanish Mengele” – who led Franco’s office of psychological research.

He argued that political beliefs promoted in left-wing families could “intoxicate” children and “damage the mental health of future generations”.

This ideological context helps explain the profile of the “adopters” of the stolen babies – affluent married women raised in a Catholic country who were unable to have children of their own.

Social pressure was extreme (male sterility wasn’t even considered back then) and having children equated to fulfilling their role in a devoutly Christian society.

 

Yet what started as an ideologically driven plan to purge Spain of an inferior race (the Marxists) turned into a lucrative business. Newborn children were taken away from their mothers without consent.

They were told the child was born dead or had died soon after.

 

Most of the time, children would be registered as the biological child of the adopting family, who would pay large sums of money for them.

(Some adopting families were also deceived and believed they were legally adopting children in need of a home.)

 

These acts represent one of the darkest chapters of Franco’s dictatorship. But its ideological roots share similarities with cases in Latin America in the 1970s and 1980s,

when children of dissidents (prisoners, murdered or “disappeared” people), were given to supporters of the regimes in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.

 

But, as with many other originally Francoist crimes, in Spain the illicit network outlived the authoritarian regime. After Franco’s death in 1975,

many perpetrators are believed to have continued their practices during Spanish democracy in the 1980s and 1990s.

 

Among the many problems victims face, the lack of institutional support in Spain is probably one of the most serious.

Evidence of the extent of the network is still unclear, and the Spanish Catholic church has so far denied access to its files.

 

Earlier suspicions over the scandal were previously never taken forward and police dropped the cases given the repercussions and the people involved: politicians, lawyers, doctors – a sinister network of crime.

But despite recent public promises very little has been done to support the cause.

 

Something as simple as a DNA database to help clarify heritage is still overdue in Spain. The lack of documentary evidence and the statute of limitations has resulted in most of the cases being shelved.

 

So far, the only person convicted in relation to these cases is Ascensión López – herself one of the alleged “stolen babies” – who was prosecuted for slandering a nun.

A court ruled she had wrongly accused the nun of taking her from her biological mother and handing her to ageing adoptive parents in 1962.

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

 

“Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who, as secretary of state, is the Vatican’s second-ranking official, told reporters.

 

But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mr. Pompeo’s visit is as much about the coming presidential election as about China policy. Mr. Pompeo dismissed that suggestion as absurd, but intended or not, his trip signals that President Trump is on the side of those conservative American Catholics who worry about the church’s direction under Francis and think he is soft on China.

 

Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism. A United States Navy ship in the Red Sea shot down a ballistic missile and a drone on Thursday night, officials confirmed to ABC News.

The USS Mason shot down one drone and an anti-ship ballistic missile fired by the Houthis an armed group backed by Iran into the Southern Red Sea, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said.

Eighteen ships, mostly cargo ships, were in the area at the time; however, CENTCOM said there was no damage to any of the vessels and no reported injuries.

Thursday night's attack was the 22nd attempted attack by the Houthi rebels on international shipping since mid-October.

Due to the escalating crisis in the Red Sea, the U.S. recently announced it had launched an international task force for maritime security.

State Department officials said the Biden administration's initial goal was to bring together a broad array of international powers to rein in the Houthis, who control a significant amount of territory in Yemen.

Earlier this month, Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder addressed the escalation of the attacks.

"We're continuing to take the situation in the Red Sea extremely seriously, there should be no doubt about that," Ryder said at the time. "The actions that we've seen from these Houthi forces are destabilizing, they're dangerous, and clearly a flagrant violation of international law. And so this is an international problem that requires an international solution."

A State Department official previously said that the U.S. has sent multiple messages to the Houthis via various diplomatic channels warning them against continuing their indiscriminate attacks, however, those threats appear to have had little impact, as the Houthis continue to insist they will stop only when Israel's war in Gaza ends.

Why FISA-gate Is Scarier Than Watergate?

 

The Watergate scandal of 1972-74 was uncovered largely because of outraged Democratic politicians and a bulldog media. They both claimed that they had saved American democracy from the Nixon administration's attempt to warp the CIA and FBI to cover up an otherwise minor, though illegal, political break-in.

 

In the Iran-Contra affair of 1985-87, the media and liberal activists uncovered wrongdoing by some rogue members of the Reagan government. They warned of government overreach and of using the "Deep State" to subvert the law for political purposes.

 

We are now in the midst of a third great modern scandal. Members of the Obama administration's Department of Justice sought court approval for the surveillance of Carter Page, allegedly for colluding with Russian interests, and extended the surveillance three times.

 

But none of these government officials told the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that the warrant requests were based on an unverified dossier that had originated as a hit piece funded in part by the Hillary Clinton campaign to smear Donald Trump during the current 2016 campaign.

 

Nor did these officials reveal that the author of the dossier, Christopher Steele, had already been dropped as a reliable source by the FBI for leaking to the press.

 

Nor did officials add that a Department of Justice official, Bruce Ohr, had met privately with Steele – or that Ohr's wife, Nellie, had been hired to work on the dossier.

 

Unfortunately, such disclosures may be only the beginning of the FISA-gate scandal.

 

Members of the Obama administration's national security team also may have requested the names of American citizens connected with the Trump campaign who had been swept up in other FISA surveillance. Those officials may have then improperly unmasked the names and leaked them to a compliant press – again, for apparent political purposes during a campaign.

 

As a result of various controversies, the deputy director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe, has resigned. Two FBI officials who had been working on special counsel Robert Mueller's team in the so-called Russia collusion probe, Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, have been reassigned for having an improper relationship and for displaying overt political biases in text messages to each other.

 

The new FBI director, Christopher Wray, has also reassigned the FBI's top lawyer, James Baker, who purportedly leaked the Steele dossier to a sympathetic journalist.

 

How does FISA-gate compare to Watergate and Iran-Contra?

 

Once again, an administration is being accused of politicizing government agencies to further agendas, this time apparently to gain an advantage for Hillary Clinton in the run-up to an election.

 

There is also the same sort of government resistance to releasing documents under the pretext of "national security."

 

There is a similar pattern of slandering congressional investigators and whistleblowers as disloyal and even treasonous.

 

There is the rationale that just as the Watergate break-in was a two-bit affair, Carter Page was a nobody.

 

But there is one huge (and ironic) difference. In the current FISA-gate scandal, most of the media and liberal civil libertarians are now opposing the disclosure of public documents. They are siding with those in the government who disingenuously sought surveillance to facilitate the efforts of a political campaign.

 

This time around, the press is not after a hated Nixon administration. Civil libertarians are not demanding accountability from a conservative Reagan team. Instead, the roles are reversed.

 

Barack Obama was a progressive constitutional lawyer who expressed distrust of the secretive "Deep State." Yet his administration weaponized the IRS and surveilled Associated Press communications and a Fox News journalist for reporting unfavorable news based on supposed leaks.

 

Obama did not fit the past stereotypes of right-wing authoritarians subverting the Department of Justice and its agencies. Perhaps that is why there was little pushback against his administration's efforts to assist the campaign of his likely replacement, fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton.

 

Progressives are not supposed to destroy requested emails, "acid wash" hard drives, spread unverified and paid-for opposition research among government agencies, or use the DOJ and FBI to obtain warrants to snoop on the communications of American citizens.

 

FISA-gate may become a more worrisome scandal than either Watergate or Iran-Contra. Why? Because our defense against government wrongdoing the press is defending such actions, not uncovering them. Liberal and progressive voices are excusing, not airing, the excesses of the DOJ and FBI.

Trump barred from presidential race in second US state

The former president has been disqualified in Maine

 

Maine has become the second US state to officially disqualify Donald Trump from seeking a new term as president in 2024. He was previously barred from appearing on the ballot in Colorado.

 

=Maine Secretary of State== Shenna Bellows ruled that Trump is ineligible to run for president, citing his alleged role in the 2021 United States Capitol riot.

 

“I conclude that Mr. Trump's primary petition is invalid,” Bellows wrote in her decision published on Thursday. “Specifically, I find that the declaration on his candidate consent form is false because he is not qualified to hold the office of the President under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment.”

 

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution says that people who “have engaged in insurrection or rebellion” cannot “hold any office, civil or military.” The section was initially added in the 1860s to disqualify politicians that supported the Confederacy during the civil war.

 

Trump is the frontrunner for the Republican Party’s nomination to run against President Joe Biden in 2024. The fate of his candidacy will ultimately be decided by the Supreme Court, however, because Colorado Republicans have already appealed their state’s decision to bar him from the ballot.

 

“Unless the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision is overturned, any voter will have the power to sue to disqualify any political candidate,” the party attorneys wrote on Wednesday. They further argued that the ruling against Trump would “not only distort the 2024 presidential election,” but throw the court “in political controversies over nebulous accusations of insurrection.”

 

The Democrats have accused Trump of incitement after on January 6, 2021 a mob of his supporters clashed with police and briefly overran the Capitol building hoping to stop Congress from certifying Biden’s election win. Trump continues to claim that the 2020 election was “rigged,” but denies any role in the violence on Capitol Hill. He insists that the allegations against him are politically motivated.

Former candidate for attorney general and well-heeled labor lawyer Shannon Liss-Riordan is apparently seeking litigants to join her effort to bump Trump from the ballot over his involvement in the events of January 6, 2021.

 

“I left you a message earlier on your voicemail and wanted to follow up to see if you may be interested in joining litigation that we are preparing to file to keep Donald Trump off the presidential ballot pursuant to the Insurrectionist Clause of the Constitution. I expect you’ve seen the news about similar lawsuits that are underway in several states,” an email apparently sent and signed by Liss-Riordan reads, in part.

 

The group looks to recruit “prominent Republicans as well as Democrats” to join the legal fight, according to the email.

But the state leaders on Beacon Hill are flipping the fuck out because they're starting to realize that some of their staffers are more like Seth Rich than like the communist Governor, Maura Healy.

Meaning there are staffers up there who been leaking good shit to the feds about certain alleged crimes, but the "leaders" in the senate, house, and Governor's office don't know who leaked what, when, and to who?

If only they gave a shit about the staff (especially the ones who still love this country), then maybe certain secrets about certain rumored crimes by certain people would have been better guarded.

But word is that it's too late now, so everyone's losing their minds and frozen in fear for what could come from these rumoured leaks.
