Musk's X claims ownership of InfoWars accounts in sale to The Onion

 

Elon Musk's X weighed in on the pending sale of Alex Jones' InfoWars to satirical newspaper The Onion to claim ownership of the bankrupt conspiracy theorist's accounts on the social media site.

 

Why it matters: X in a Monday court filing argued that its users don't own their accounts and those accounts can't be sold or transferred to a third party without X's permission.

While X acknowledged that users own the content they post, the company's argument could have significant ramifications for the site's millions of users.

"X Corp.'s [terms of service] make clear that it owns the X Accounts, as the TOS is explicit that X Corp. merely grants its users a non-exclusive license to use their accounts," the company told a federal judge in Texas.

US and UK treat Ukraine like colony – Lavrov

Kiev acts under the total control of Washington and London, the Russian foreign minister has (he missed the Vatican)

 

The US and UK, along with their NATO allies, directly control the authorities in Ukraine, acting like colonizers, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has claimed.

 

Lavrov issued the statement during his speech at the roundtable meeting with heads of accredited diplomatic missions in Moscow on Friday.

 

”The Kiev regime is directly controlled by the Anglo-Saxons (the US and UK) and works in line with colonial practices,” the foreign minister said.

 

Lavrov emphasized that Western allies have been “employing a method of information wars and media misrepresentation to complete their dirty political tasks.” The top diplomat pointed to the so-called slave bible, an abridged version of Scripture specifically made for teaching a skewed version of Christianity to subjected people in the British West Indies as an example of what he referred to as colonial practices. Lavrov said that the book, which was published in the early 19th century, lacked 90% of the Old Testament and 50% of the New Testament.

 

”In the name of enslaving the souls of millions of bondsmen, the predecessors of modern Western liberals censored the holy scriptures,having excluded the sections that could instill the thought about the equality of all before God, which was dangerous for slave owners,” he said.

 

Not much had changed since the 19th century, the foreign minister stressed,saying that “today the Kiev regime uses much of the modern ultra-liberal ideology imposed by the West, such as cancel culture.”

 

Lavrov highlighted that theUkrainian propagandists systemically rewrite history and falsify the factsof the country’s past, blocking out entire chapters from history books.

 

The top diplomat emphasized thatKiev’s Western allies control large media corporations that promote the idea of mass supportfor the neoliberal aspirations of Washington and London, adding that alternative sources of information are being silenced.

 

Western governments have taken a series of drastic steps against Russian media outlets since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022.In March of that year, most such news sources were banned in the EU, including RT and Sputnik. Earlier this month, the German authorities ordered the closure of the Russian public broadcaster Channel 1’s bureau in Berlin and told its staff to leave the country by early December. The German Foreign Ministry quickly rejected these claims as “false,” insisting that “Russian journalists can, as before, broadcast freely and unhindered in Germany.”

 

RT was banned in Ukraine in 2014 after Crimea reunited with Russia following a peninsula-wide referendum.

 

At the same time, the country blocked 14 Russian television channels from its cable networks.RT’s Russian-language Telegram channel was blocked in the country last month.

Mayor of small SC town killed in car crash days after town’s entire police force resigned

 

The mayor of a small South Carolina town died Tuesday, Nov. 26, after a crash with a tractor trailer truck, and was reportedly being pursued by sheriff’s deputies at the time of the incident

 

McColl Mayor George Garner II, 49, died as a result of the crash, according to social media posts from Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee. The crash occurred on S.C. 34 in Mechanicsville at about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, the coroner said.

 

McColl is a town of about 1,900 people in Marlboro County. Garner had recently been re-elected as mayor.

 

“When the incident occurred Mr. Garner was being pursued by a Marlboro County Deputy,” Hardee wrote. “The pursuit was not related to any laws being broken. The pursuit was taking place in an effort to protect the well being of Mr. Garner.”

 

The crash came days after published reports indicated the entire police force in McColl had recently resigned.

 

S.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Lena Butler said Garner was traveling west on S.C. 34 in a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Garner’s vehicle went left of center and crashed with a Volvo tractor trailer. Garner was taken to McLeod Regional Medical Center, where he died.

 

Mechanicsville is a small community about eight miles east of the town of Darlington. The incident is being investigated by the Highway Patrol’s Major Accident Investigation Team. Hardee said he would release a manner of death in the case in coming days.

Jihadists claim to re-enter Syria’s Aleppo (VIDEOS)

 

Government forces say they’ve inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists as they attempt to neutralize the surprise offensive

 

In a statement to Al Jazeera, HTS said that its militants had begun to press into several neighborhoods in the northern Syrian city, which has been controlled by government forces since 2016.

 

According to Türkiye’s Anadolu news agency, the jihadists have clashed with the Syrian Army inside Aleppo.

 

Video footage shared on social media purportedly showed HTS gunmen marauding through the city on foot and in armored vehicles. Ukraine using drones to plug manpower gaps – CNN

Shortages of troops on the Pokrovsk front are reportedly approaching a critical level

 

Ukrainian troops are stretched so thin along the Pokrovsk front in Donetsk People’s Republic, that they fear a major Russian breakthrough in the coming days and weeks, CNN has reported.

 

Pokrovsk (also known as Krasnoarmeysk) is thelast major population center under Ukrainian controlin the west of DPR. It has gone from a major supply hub for the frontline forts to being on the front line itself.

 

“I cannot say exactly how much time we have, if there is any time at all,” CNN quoted a Ukrainian soldier with the callsign ‘Koshey’ as saying, in an article published on Thursday. “Now they are pushing their troops to the frontline as much as possible. And then at one point they will all go for an assault. They can go very far. In one day, let’s say.”

 

“The enemy is advancing because there are no people defending on the ground,” the soldier added.

 

Soldiers and officers interviewed by CNN spoke of acute manpower shortages, which have forced them to rely on drones to try and fend off Russian attacks.

 

“I have no people. I’m fing alone. I’m fing tired,” said ‘Kotya’, a Ukrainian scout sniper.“Guys are dying here. This is garbage.”

 

The commander of a drone unit, callsign ‘Vostok’, said he was deployed to Pokrovsk in August and has not had any opportunity to rest or refit since. The Russians “are constantly staffed, constantly trained, they are rotated out and reinforced. We constantly hear about it from intercepts,” he said.

 

In recent months, Kiev has deployed press gangs across the country to round up tens of thousands of new troops. Amid reports that the US has pushed Ukraine to mobilize men as young as 18-25, one recruitment officer described his job as dealing with “cornered rats.”

 

One commander on the Pokrovsk front, who was not named, told CNN that only about 60 soldiers defended the key town of Selidovo when Russian forces took it last month. Another said that Selidovo had beenreinforced by 300 recent recruits who lacked even basic training, but it was unclear what became of them.

 

Another commander told the US outlet that troops on the Pokrovsk front have been told to shoot unidentified persons on sight, fearful of Russian patrols infiltrating the sparsely held line.

Hapag-Lloyd Secures Green Methanol Supply for Retrofitted Containerships

Hapag-Lloyd has secured a major agreement with Beijing-based clean energy provider Goldwind for the annual supply of 250,000 tonnes of green methanol.

 

The deal marks a crucial step in the shipping giant’s decarbonization journey, with the green methanol blend expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 70 percent.

 

“We are fully committed to the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Agreement… This will bring us an important step closer to our goal of achieving net-zero fleet operations by 2045,” said Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd AG.

 

The green methanol supply could potentially reduce Hapag-Lloyd’s fleet operations’ CO2e emissions by up to 400,000 tonnes annually compared to conventional fuels. This aligns with Hapag-Lloyd’s ambitious target to cut absolute fleet GHG emissions by approximately one-third by 2030, compared to 2022 levels.

 

The agreement will directly support Hapag-Lloyd’s fleet modernization efforts, including powering five 10,100 TEU vessels being converted to methanol dual-fuel propulsion systems in 2026. Hapag-Lloyd charters the five vessels from Seaspan. The vessels due for retrofits are the Seaspan Amazon, Seaspan Ganges, Seaspan Thames, Seaspan Yangtze, and Seaspan Zambezi.

 

This initiative, combined with the company’s recent order of 24 LNG-powered container ships, demonstrates Hapag-Lloyd’s commitment to a multi-fuel strategy for maritime decarbonization.

 

Goldwind plans to establish a new green methanol production facility in Hinggan League, China, adjacent to its existing operations. “This collaboration proves once again that Goldwind can win the trust of one of the most important shipping companies,” said Chairman, Wu Gang.

Prisoners have been told there is ‘no money for medication’.

Another person familiar with the situation said: ‘The prisoners who need medication, everything from chemotherapy drugs to blood pressure medication, were pulled to one side and told there isn’t money for the drugs.

‘It’s insane.’

Maxwell this week lost the latest round of her appeal against her December 2021 conviction for her role in sexually abusing multiple minor girls alongside ex-boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein.

The former socialite and close friend of Prince Andrew’s was convicted of luring girls as young as 14 into Epstein’s clutches.

She has always vehemently denied the charges and continued to deny them in a jailhouse interview with international journalist Daphne Barak for The Mail on Sunday.

Maxwell told Barak that meeting Epstein was ‘the greatest mistake of my life’ adding: ‘I didn’t know that he was so awful. I mean, obviously now, looking back with hindsight, of course.

A Department of Justice report last year was scathing about conditions inside the Tallahassee prison which was found to have moldy food, rat droppings and rotten vegetables.

Prison inspectors described conditions as ‘alarming’ with prisoners resorting to using feminine hygiene products to plug leaks in ceilings and windows.

The 49-page December 2023 report said: ‘We observed moldy bread being served as well as discolored and rotting vegetables in a food preparation refrigerator at the female prison. In the food storage warehouses, we found likely evidence of rodent droppings, as well as bags of cereal with insects in them and warped food containers.

‘We also found that female housing unit roofs routinely leak and that all five general population housing unit roofs need to be replaced. Many female inmates live in housing units in which water frequently leaks from ceilings and windows on or near their living spaces.

'We observed housing areas in which feminine hygiene products were being used to absorb water from leaking windows.’

Last night, the Federal Bureau of Prisons refused to comment.

The mayor of a small South Carolina town died Tuesday, Nov. 26, after a crash with a tractor trailer truck, and was reportedly being pursued by sheriff’s deputies at the time of the incident. McColl Mayor George Garner II, 49, died as a result of the crash, according to social media posts from Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee. The crash occurred on S.C. 34 in Mechanicsville at about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, the coroner said. McColl is a town of about 1,900 people in Marlboro County. Garner had recently been re-elected as mayor. “When the incident occurred Mr. Garner was being pursued by a Marlboro County Deputy,” Hardee wrote. “The pursuit was not related to any laws being broken. The pursuit was taking place in an effort to protect the well being of Mr. Garner.” The crash came days after published reports indicated the entire police force in McColl had recently resigned. S.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Lena Butler said Garner was traveling west on S.C. 34 in a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Garner’s vehicle went left of center and crashed with a Volvo tractor trailer. Garner was taken to McLeod Regional Medical Center, where he died. Mechanicsville is a small community about eight miles east of the town of Darlington. The incident is being investigated by the Highway Patrol’s Major Accident Investigation Team. Hardee said he would release a manner of death in the case in coming days.

At least 27 civilians, including children as young as eight, have been killed in Syria this week as a result of Islamist militant attacks in the northwest of the country, Reuters reported on Friday, citing a UN official.

The militants have reportedly managed to overrun several areas previously under the control of the Syrian military, and claim to have entered the city of Aleppo on Friday. The assault is the first of its kind in several years, and is targeting villages, towns and military sites.

 

“We’re deeply alarmed by the situation unfolding in northwest Syria,” UN Deputy Regional Humanitarian Coordinator for the Syria Crisis, David Carden, told Reuters, citing “relentless” attacks over the past three days.

 

“Civilians and civilian infrastructure are not targets and must be protected under International Humanitarian Law,” Carden stressed.

 

On Friday, the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that four civilians had been killed as a result of a terrorist shelling of a university campus in Aleppo.

 

According to Al Mayadeen, the Syrian forces – which launched a counteroffensive on Thursday – successfully repelled the terrorist advance southeast of Idlib. Intense fighting continues on two fronts in rural Aleppo, where militants are trying to break through, the network has reported.

Donald J. Trump has called for journalists to be imprisoned and raped for not revealing their sources. A week ago, at one of his rallies, he fantasized about a mass shooting of journalists. The small rural Canadian township of Emo (population 1,333) is being ordered by the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal to pay damages after failing to proclaim Pride Month as instructed back in 2020.

UK Government Minister Louise Haigh Resigns Over Undisclosed Criminal Conviction

 

The UK’s recently appointed Transport Secretary has resigned over the revelation she has a past conviction for misleading the police, having appeared before a court over a fake theft just months before she was first elected.

 

Louise Haigh tendered her resignation as Transport Secretary Thursday night after it was revealed she had reported a mobile phone stolen to police which was later discovered to still being in her possession.

 

The minister, who has not been in government long enough to become known for much besides her unconventional choices in hair dye has been a dogmatic advocate for the nationalisation of the United Kingdom’s train operators. Despite the British experience the last three times the railways were nationalised, either by law or practice, many — particularly on the left — believe it will work this time.

 

In her resignation letter Haigh essentially denied all conscious wrongdoing, making implicit her view that the legal matter had arisen from a mistake.

 

Labour leader and now-UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer appeared to accept this position totally in his written response, which made no reference to the reasons for resignation whatsoever, remarking only “I know you still have a huge contribution to make in the future”.

 

Yet reports in several British news outlets make assertions which appear — superficially at least — to challenge Haigh’s narrative of events. An exposé by broadcaster Sky News states Haigh had reported a mobile phone stolen to Police in 2013, and that the handset had been issued to Haigh by her employer, the insurer Aviva. After she was convicted of making a false report to police, Haigh was sacked by Aviva, questioning whether they considered the matter an innocent mistake.

 

Further, the broadcaster reported:

 

Three separate sources claimed to Sky News that she made the false report to benefit personally, with two of the sources alleging she wanted a more modern work handset that was being rolled out to her colleagues at the time.

 

Newspaper of record The Times is even more strident in its claims, stating:

 

The Times has been told that the company launched an investigation after Haigh said that company mobile phones had been stolen or had gone missing on repeated occasions. Aviva referred the matter to the police and Haigh was prosecuted in 2014.

 

Haigh, who was Policing Minister under the former Shadow Cabinet of hard-left Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and who had previously been a Police ‘Special’ Constable has never made this episode public before and was elected to Parliament just six months after the 2014 conviction. Yet her senior colleagues were aware, it is stated, because as part of the normal security vetting process that takes place when politicians take senior jobs it emerged when she entered the then-Labour opposition’s top team.

 

The fact Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer knew about this, even if the conviction is now ‘spent’, has inevitably lead to questions about hsi judgement. Tory-friendly newspaper The Daily Telegraph cites a Conservative Party spokesman who said to this: “In her resignation letter, she states that Keir Starmer was already aware of the fraud conviction, which raises questions as to why the Prime Minister appointed Ms Haigh to Cabinet with responsibility for a £30bn budget? The onus is now on Keir Starmer to explain this obvious failure of judgement to the British public.”

An automobile collision claimed the life of a Marlboro County man today in Darlington County. George Garner II, 49 , of McColl, SC died when the vehicle he was driving collided head on with a truck. The incident occurred on Hwy 34 in Mechanicsville around 2:40 PM.

Mr. Garner was the Mayor of McColl, SC and had recently been re-elected.

The incident is under investigation by The Darlington County Coroner and the SCHP MAIT team.

When the incident occurred Mr. Garner was being pursued by a Marlboro County Deputy. The pursuit was not related to any laws being broken. The pursuit was taking place in an effort to protect the well being of Mr. Garner.

I will make a ruling on the manner of this death in the coming days.

Hundreds Dead, Fighting Rages as Syrian Islamist Rebels Reach Aleppo

 

Rebels enter western districts of Aleppo, main highway to Damascus closed

 

Beginning late Wednesday, the Syrian Islamist rebel faction Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) launched a major offensive out of the Idlib Province into the Aleppo Province. The result is heavy fighting and airstrikes, and it is now being reported HTS has reached the city of Aleppo itself.

 

HTS captured over 50 towns and villages on the way from Idlib Province to Aleppo, which is the second largest city in Syria. The most recent figure available is that 255 people, mostly combatants, have been killed in the fighting. A number of others have also been killed in airstrikes by Syria and Russia’s air forces, at least 19 on Thursday alone.

 

The Russia-backed counter-offensive was aimed at keeping HTS out of the important city, which before the Syrian Civil War was the nation’s industrial hub. It seems HTS has reached at least five neighborhoods of Aleppo, in western districts of the town.

 

Syria’s Army was a lot more upbeat on their prospects, saying they had “repelled” a major offensive into Aleppo, despite evidence that HTS forces are still in the city and some claims their fighter had reached the city’s center. The army also reported that they had reclaimed some towns and villages lost yesterday in the offensive, though that can’t yet be confirmed.

 

It is fair to say the counter-offensive isn’t going as well as planned, and there are some reports indicating that Russia’s heavy air commitment to the ongoing Ukraine War meant a smaller force left behind in Syria, and that force was slow to react to the surprise offensive.

 

HTS has dubbed their offensive operation “Deter the Aggression,” and says the effort is meant to prevent Syria, Russia and Iran from pushing into Idlib Province, which they hold. The fighting has also shut down the M5 highway, which connects Damascus and Aleppo. That’s likely to make deployments of further reinforcements by Syria’s government difficult.

 

HTS formed in early 2017 as a merger of several Islamist militant groups, centering initially around fighting Jabhat al-Nusra but ultimately merging with them as well. Jabhat al-Nusra was effectively the Syrian wing of al-Qaeda, though they broke with them publicly in 2016. Despite that, HTS maintains much of the underlying rhetoric of al-Qaeda.

 

Publicly, HTS and their leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani has tried to disavow al-Qaeda and ISIS and has courted favor with the US. He has styled the civilian body in HTS-dominated Idlib the Syrian Salvation Government. It has long been suspected that this rebranding was more about trying to turn Syrian Sunni Islamist factions into a more palatable partner for Western involvement in the region than any major ideological differences with the international jihadists.

 

The West has a history of backing some of the more local Sunni Islamist groups in the Syrian Civil War. Indeed, the HTS ties with Ukraine’s government underscores that many see them as a practical partner in their respective regional wars. This could be a growing concern for the Syrian government, as what was once a contained problem in the Idlib Province looks to explode outward starting many of the same fights all over again.

The Biden administration moved on Thanksgiving eve to bar future coal leasing in the Powder River Basin, one of America’s most coal-rich regions, according to multiple reports.

The Powder River Basin, a region that spans parts of Montana and Wyoming, accounted for about 43% of U.S. coal in 2019, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The administration made its move to formally end coal leasing in the area and roll back previous approvals for development plans on Wednesday as Americans prepared to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday, according to E&E News.

“The decision is to make no federal coal available for future leasing,” Todd Yeager, the field manager for the Buffalo office of the Bureau of Land Management, wrote in a filing announcing the move, according to E&E News. Yeager added that the decision will take about 48 billion short tons of coal off the table for mining and development.

The Trump administration, set to officially assume power in January 2025, is likely to walk back Wednesday’s moves when they get the chance to do so, according to The Hill. The Biden administration signaled that it could be moving to end coal leasing in the Powder River Basin in May when it released its proposals.

Republican Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso slammed the administration’s choice to end future coal leasing in the Powder River Basin, according to The Hill.

“After the American people issued a stunning rebuke to President Biden, he continues to punish Wyoming communities,” said Barrasso. “I will work with President Trump and his team to reverse this and other midnight regulations.”

Zelensky Has Failed His Country – Ukrainian-born US lawmaker

Vladimir Zelensky “failed his Ukrainian people,”US Congresswoman Victoria Spartz has asserted in a recent interview with CNN.

 

Spartz, the first and only Ukrainian-born member of the US Congress, has accused him of not preparing the country for the conflict with Russia and failing to adequately support his military amid the ongoing hostilities.

 

The Indiana Republican noted that Zelensky did not effectively implement a military draft or address corruption, emphasizing that while he makes grand presentations, “he’s done nothing to really support his own people.”

 

The Congresswoman also compared Ukraine’s situation to Israel’s, stating that Kiev is not in a position to winand criticized the changes within the country’s top military ranks, indicating that Zelensky had replaced key generals with those who would be more compliant.

 

Spartz emphasized the necessity of mobilizing the entire country for the war effort, when asked to comment about the reports that US President Joe Biden’s administration is pressuring Ukraine to lower its age of conscription to 18.

 

“You need to put the whole country to fight the war. We sent our eighteen-year-olds to die for our freedoms…this is a serious war and you need to have proper recruitment,” Spartz said. She added that it should have been done two years ago, and that there have been people fighting for a long time without rotation.

 

“If you want to win the war…you need to get the whole country. When the Soviet Union fought WWII, from a little child to the old person, everyone was contributing to the war,” Spartz said.

 

Spartz was born in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1978, emigrated to the US in 2000 and became a citizen six years later. She has served in Congress since 2021, and emergedas one of the most ardent proponents of aid for Kievafter Russia’s military operation in Ukraine began in 2022.

 

Although she has stated that she wants Ukraine to win and says thatshe has visited the country six timessince the outbreak of hostilities in late February 2022,many of her colleagues on both sides of the aisle have grown weary of her “bellicose rhetoric,” CNN said two years ago.

 

In recent months, Kiev has deployed press gangs across the country to round up tens of thousands of new troops. One recruitment officer described his job as dealing with “cornered rats.”

 

One commander on the Pokrovsk front, who was not named, told CNN that only about 60 soldiers defended the key town of Selidovo when Russian forces took it last month. Another said that the community had been reinforced by 300 recent recruits who lacked even basic training, but it was unclear what became of them.

 

Earlier this week, The Economist reported that Ukraine was “out of willing recruits” as the nation was struggling to replenish its military ranks amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. CHICAGO – The Bears fired head coach Matt Eberflus on Friday, choosing to go in a "different direction" one day after a 23-20 loss to the Detroit Lions that ended with the Bears' furious comeback attempt falling short thanks to clock mismanagement.

 

"This morning, after meeting with [chairman George H. McCaskey] and [president and CEO Kevin Warren], we informed Matt of our decision to move in a different direction with the leadership of our football team and the head-coaching position," Bears general manager Ryan Poles said in a statement released Friday afternoon. "I thank Matt for his hard work, professionalism and dedication to our organization. We extend our gratitude for his commitment to the Chicago Bears and wish him and his family the best moving forward."

 

"I support Ryan and the decision that was made this morning. We understand how imperative the head-coaching role is for building and maintaining a championship-caliber team, leading our players and our organization," Warren added in the team's statement. "Our fans have stood by us and persevered through every challenge, and they deserve better results. Our organizational and operational structure is strong, focused, aligned and energized for the future."

Realizing that Chicago would not have time to run another play after the ball was snapped with six seconds remaining, Williams changed the play and threw the deep ball toward Odunze.

 

Eberflus said he was trying to preserve the final timeout to set up a potential game-tying field goal after running a final play.

 

"I like what we did there," Eberflus said. "Again, once it's under seven [seconds], you're going to call a timeout there – actually under 12 and then really you don't have an option because it's third [down] to fourth, you have to throw it into the end zone then.

 

"To me it's – I think we handled it the right way, I do believe that you just rerack the play, get it in bounds and call timeout, and that's why we held it and didn't work out the way we wanted it to."

 

Chicago has lost six one-score games in 2024, which brings Eberflus' career record in one-score games to 5-19. That is the worst record of any coach with at least 20 such games in NFL history.

 

Eberflus compiled a 14-32 record in nearly three seasons after being hired on January 27, 2022, two days after general manager Ryan Poles was hired. Eberflus' .304 win percentage in 46 games is the third worst in franchise history, behind John Fox (.292) and Abe Gibron (.274). He is the first head coach in team history to be fired in-season.

 

At the beginning of the 2024 offseason, the Bears chose to retain Eberflus despite going 10-24 in his first two seasons. Poles, who made the decision, said he did so because of the coach's leadership and stability.

 

"I really think that the head coach needs to be able to captain the ship when the seas are stormy or when the seas have storms, and really keep everything settled," Poles said in January. "When you go through hard times and he can keep everyone together, to me, that's like the critical piece."

 

There were plenty of storms to endure, especially with the coaching staff. Eberflus fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron ahead of Week 11 and replaced him with Thomas Brown. Waldron was the second offensive coordinator Eberflus fired in the same year after Luke Getsy and four offensive coaches were let go in January.

 

In two seasons, Eberflus fired eight coaches.

Executive summary

Pfizer recently updated the results of their randomized clinical trial of the COVID shots on pregnant women entitled “To Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, and Immunogenicity of BNT162b2 Against COVID-19 in Healthy Pregnant Women 18 Years of Age and Older. ClinicalTrials.gov ID NCT04754594.

 

This prompted me to have a second look at these results which were first posted on July 14, 2023, over a year ago.

 

Did you know that the study showed that if you were assigned the vaccine, your child had a stunning 4.2X higher rate of AESIs such as MAJOR congenital abnormalities and developmental delays in just the first 6 months after birth?

 

Because the trial enrolled fewer women than planned, the effect size reached only the 90% level of significance. Based on just this trial, we are 90% certain that the vaccines made things worse. However, when you look at other data, the certainty approaches 100%.

 

4.2X is jaw dropping for an effect size for these types of major birth defect adverse events.

 

Was there a benefit? Nope. Moms in both groups got the same number of COVID infections (2 in each group). Vaccine efficacy estimated at a measly 3.8 (because the groups were different sizes). A perfect vaccine is 100. A vaccine which does nothing is 0. The 3.8 value was both tiny and NOT statistically significant. It’s entirely possible that the vaccine increased your risk of getting COVID. We can’t tell from the study.

 

This was all known more than 5 months ago when the results were first posted.

 

Why didn’t the CDC warn women that they were wrong?

 

This double-blinded placebo controlled trial which is considered to be the best evidence in medicine shows that it’s 90% likely it made things worse.

 

It’s Pfizer’s own data published on Clinical Trials.gov using gold-standard DB-RCT methodology. Anyone can analyze it. It’s in plain sight. Doesn’t get any better than this.

 

Today, more than 5 months after the lack of any COVID benefit was published on the NIH website (clinicaltrials.gov), the CDC is still silent on this.

The documents reference “Individual 1,” describing this person as a former president and current President-elect rather than directly naming Trump.

 

In a Facebook video dated November 13, Tamayo-Torres is seen displaying a white AR-15-style rifle with a 30-round magazine, issuing a challenging but unclear threat, according to the documents. He is quoted as referring to “Individual 1” and mentioning a scenario involving pursuit after gunfire.

 

On November 21, another video allegedly showed Tamayo-Torres threatening that Trump’s entire family would die. The documents further reveal his derogatory remarks about Trump’s background and a declaration of intent to cause harm if given the opportunity.

 

Tamayo-Torres was apprehended in Southern California on Monday. His legal representative has not provided any public comment. The charges against him include one count of making threats against the President-elect and four counts of providing false statements during a firearm purchase.

 

The court documents note that Tamayo-Torres has a criminal history, with a felony assault conviction in 2003 resulting in a five-year imprisonment in California. In addition, he received a protective order from his ex-wife last year, according to the filings.

July 21, 2011, marks the ninetieth anniversary of the sinking of the captured German battleship Ostfriesland by the First Provisional Air Brigade of the U.S. Army Air Service. This unit was commanded by Brig. General William “Billy” Mitchell, one of the most controversial figures in the history of air power in the United States. Mitchell was air power’s most prominent American proponent in the 1920s, often to the chagrin of the regular Army leadership. Although commonly perceived as a one-time affair, the sinking of the Ostfriesland was in fact the culmination of a series of bombing tests conducted by the U.S. Navy and the Air Service from May 1921 to July 1921. Mitchell’s advocates and promoters have pointed to the sinking of the Ostrfriesland as being a significant milestone in the history of American air power. Nevertheless, the historical context that surrounds it remains a matter of some controversy to this day.

 

The Sinking of the Ostfriesland

 

Mitchell used his influence in Congress to allow the U.S. Air Service to participate in naval bombing tests that took place during the summer months of 1921. The U.S. Navy put tight controls on the tests to restrict Mitchell and the Air Service. The targets were captured German navy ships, including a submarine (U-117), the USS Iowa, a battleship converted to a radio-controlled fleet target ship, a destroyer (G-102), a German light cruiser Frankfurt, and finally, the German battleship Ostfriesland. The sinking of the Ostfriesland on July 21, 1921, was the most controversial event of the bombing tests. Ignoring the Navy’s restrictions about pressing the attack too vigorously, Mitchell decided to sink the Ostfriesland in direct fashion. After an attack by aircraft carrying 1,000 lb. bombs, his airmen dropped six bombs on the battleship, and in a twenty-minute period, the Ostfriesland was sent to the bottom of the sea. No direct hits were scored, however. The Navy protested vigorously that their construction experts were not given enough time to examine the ship, but to no avail.

 

Mitchell had seized the day despite the fact that the Ostfriesland was at anchor and unable to maneuver and there was no defensive antiaircraft fire to hinder the aerial attacks. As Alfred Hurley remarks, “the dispute could not get away from the basic fact which deeply impressed itself on the public’s mind, Mitchell had sunk a battleship, as he claimed he could.” (68) The Joint Army Navy Board, which had been created in 1903 by President Theodore Roosevelt to plan combined operations and prevent any difficulties that might arise from interservice rivalries, produced an evaluation of the tests. The Board’s report, signed by General Pershing himself, fell far short of Mitchell’s recommendations for a separate aerial arm, with responsibility for all aviation within and beyond the United States. Mitchell, as expected, cast aside the recommendations of the Joint Board, and produced his own report, leaked to the press, which said that the problem of aircraft being able to destroy seacraft had been solved, and that there were “no conditions in which seacraft can operate efficiently in which aircraft cannot operate efficiently.”

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, urged the United States to redirect its focus toward ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Europe following reports that U.S. State Department staff sought counseling after Donald Trump’s election victory.

 

Zakharova’s comments responded to media reports that the State Department arranged therapy sessions for employees struggling with Trump’s election. Employees at the State Department were invited the Friday after the election to an in-house therapy session if they felt they were unable to cope with the changing political environment and Trump’s return to the White House.

 

Meanwhile, California Representative Darrell Issa expressed concern in a formal letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken.Issa described the notion of providing counseling as alarming, arguing it catered to employees who weretroubled by the democratic process.

 

Zakharova’s statements included pointed remarks about American diplomats mourning Trump’s victory.“

 

=The fact that American diplomats are crying bitterly during working hoursinstead of performing their duties has caused confusion not only among the public but also within the U.S. House of Representatives,” Zakharova said.

 

President-elect Trump has promised to end the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky admitting that Trump’s election will hasten the end of the war.

 

However, in recent days, the conflict appears to be escalating after President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer both gave the green light to allow Ukraine to fire Western-supplied long-range missiles deep into Russian territory.

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously stated such attacks would amount to an act of war by NATO against Russia.

Chapter 7 – Seven Basic Propaganda Devices

 

“Propaganda is used by those who want to communicate in ways that engage the emotions and downplay rationality, in an attempt to promote a certain message. To effectively present Israel to the public, and to counter anti-Israel messages, it is necessary to understand propaganda devices.”

 

These first 7 points, and the others that follow, are actual templates that Jews have developed to assist in their efforts to control public opinion and to “pull the wires that control the public mind“, as Edward Bernays was so fond of saying.[54]

 

We see these used extensively in the mass media, in articles written by Jewish Hasbara enthusiasts, and very often in the comment threads on online articles. If you know what to look for, and you are paying attention, these are easily identifiable.

 

Name Calling

“Through the careful choice of words, the name calling technique links a person or an idea to a negative symbol. Creating negative connotations by name calling is done to try and get the audience to reject a person or idea on the basis of negative associations, without allowing a real examination of that person or idea. Name calling is hard to counter. Call demonstrations “riots”. Call a political organisation a “terrorist organisation”, and so on.” Just use any dirty names you can imagine to degrade an opponent’s position. Neo-Nazi, anti-Semite. “Those opposed to Israel (or the Jews) use name-calling all the time.” Of course, Jews and the Jewish media never do this.

 

Glittering Generality

This is name calling in reverse. Use positive phrases in order to lend a positive image to things. Freedom, liberty, science, democracy, freedom fighter.

 

Transfer

“Transfer involves taking some of the prestige and authority of one concept and applying it to another.” Stand beside a UN flag. With China, pretend you live in Beijing, or attended Tsinghua or Fudan University. Mention famous names, even if irrelevant.

 

Testimonial

“Means enlisting the support of somebody admired or famous to endorse an ideal or campaign. Testimonial … can be manipulated, such as when a footballer is used to support a political campaign they have only a limited understanding of. Testimonial can lend weight to an argument that it doesn’t deserve. Quotes can work as testimonial, even when … out of context.” Use quotations, internet links, anything out of context or not, even if false, to support your position and destroy the opponent’s position.

 

Also, make use of celebrities. [Celebrities] can be “easily manipulated because they care more about their public image than about the Middle East, and threats of tainting their image (with charges of anti-Semitism) will usually persuade them to (either cooperate or) back off.”

 

Plain Folks

Convince the listener that the speaker is a ‘regular guy’. (No dog in the fight, no axe to grind.)

 

Fear

“Listeners have deep-seated fears of violence and disorder … Fear is easily manipulated. Listeners are too preoccupied by threats to think critically about a speaker’s message. Fear can be successfully utilised by pointing out the consequences … physical risk or financial ruin.” You don’t want to be tarnished as “anti-Semitic” or a “holocaust denier”. You could lose your job and your reputation. Your children could be forced to change schools.

 

Bandwagon

“People are happy to be part of the crowd … Give the impression that “Israel is the team to support, that this is the way the wind is blowing.” Try to leave the impression that ‘almost everyone’ thinks as you say. Exaggerate the volume of support for your position.

 

Set the Agenda

Hasbara students are taught from the first day that “The person who sets the agenda will usually win.”

Frame the Debate

Jewish mentors teach students to always attempt to reframe debates to focus only on issues that fit the Jewish agenda. Framing is one of the more insidious tools of propaganda – instructing us ‘how to think’ about a particular event. The invasion and destruction of Iraq were termed by the US military and the Jewish media as “Operation Iraqi Freedom”. People who are genuinely concerned about contamination and dangerous side-effects of vaccines are termed “Vaccination terrorists”. Hong Kong’s terrorists are defined in the Jewish media as “democracy protestors” – who, in one university lab alone, had created more than 10,000 petrol bombs which were used on government buildings and police stations (and on the police themselves). These ‘democracy protestors’ also poured gasoline on a man who disagreed with them, and set him on fire. You can see the video here:[55]

 

In all these cases, the first step is to provide a useful propaganda definition which, if adopted by the public, eliminates independent thought in one swoop.

 

Two major approaches: Point scoring and genuine debate.

“Point scoring involves attacking opponents by undermining their positions, (literally “scoring points”). It ought to give the appearance of rational debate, whilst avoiding any genuine discussion. This works because most people fail to analyse what they hear. It is the correct method when the audience is only partially engaged, like on the Internet. It is necessary to disguise this by giving the impression of honest debate. “That’s an interesting point but it’s not really the right question . . .” This appears to address what was said, but actually ignores it and proceeds to reframe the discussion by setting a new agenda. “Always try to avoid debate by turning criticism of Israel or the Jews into an attack on the opposition, narrowed to a person if possible, and suggest that person is anti-Semitic or supports terrorism or cannot be trusted.”

 

When not to Engage

One main theme that permeates the Hasbara mentality is: “Don’t fight if you can’t win.” We see this very frequently in online comment threads where an obvious Hasbara troll will make false claims about some historical topic, generally meant to absolve Jews from their crimes, or to blame the victim. If those claims are countered by another reader who clearly knows the facts and likely has a superior understanding, the Jewish commenter will almost always simply disappear. “Walk away when you encounter anyone more experienced or well-versed.” And never engage if you can’t control the terms and agenda of the debate because this means the debate is “set up badly” and you cannot win.

 

When you engage on a topic, you give it a sense of legitimacy, so never engage on a topic you don’t want considered ‘legitimate’. Examples would be the fact that the Russian Bolsheviks were almost entirely Jews who were responsible for the gulags and tens of millions of deaths. Or the fact that opium in China was entirely a Jewish business. Or that the centuries of slave-trading were similar. In other words, don’t engage on the topic of Jewish crimes because your participation helps to make that topic ‘legitimate’.

Swiss wealth manager Lombard Odier indicted on money laundering charges

• The accused allegedly helped conceal the proceeds of a criminal organization set up by Gulnara Karimova — the daughter of Islam Karimov, the authoritarian president of Uzbekistan who died in 2016.

Lombard Odier — one of Switzerland’s oldest private banks— was indicted by Swiss prosecutors on charges of aggravated money laundering.

 

In a release on Friday, the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland, or OAG, said it filed an indictment against Lombard Odier and a former employee of the bank at Switzerland’s Federal Criminal Court on Tuesday.

 

The OAG said the accused helped conceal the proceeds of a criminal organization set up by Gulnara Karimova — the daughter of Islam Karimov, the authoritarian president of Uzbekistan who died of a stroke in 2016. Karimova was indicted by the attorney general in 2023 on accusations of laundering money that was a result of criminal activities in Switzerland between 2005 and 2012.

 

“Investigations have led the OAG to believe that part of the money laundered in Switzerland may have been transferred in bank accounts at … Lombard Odier in Geneva. The bank and one of its former relationship managers are alleged to have played a decisive role in concealing the proceeds of the criminal activities of ‘The Office,’” the OAG said in its statement.

 

They have been under investigation since 2016, the prosecutors added.

 

Lombard Odier, whoseorigins date back as far as 1796, denies the allegations.

 

“We have taken note of the decision of the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland to bring charges against the Bank for insufficient controls,” the bank said in a statement on Friday.

 

“This step follows the opening of a formal investigation against the bank initiated and made public in 2016.For the bank, the allegations are unfounded and without merit. The bank plans to defend itself vigorously.”

 

The bank said the casewas initiated by Lombard Odier’s “proactive reporting of suspicions to the Swiss authorities.”

 

CNBC has reached out to Gregoire Mangeat, who has represented Karimova throughout her legal battles with Swiss authorities. Karimova is currently serving a jail sentence in Uzbekistan.
