Speaker Johnson Issues Warning: Congress Has the Authority to Defund and Disband Federal Courts (Video)

 

It appears that Speaker Mike Johnson has finally woken up to the threats by radical leftist judges who have taken over the White House and US executive branch of government.

 

Johnson on Tuesday warned that Congress has the authority to defund these radical leftists who are running a legal insurrection against the country today.

 

Since returning to the White House on January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump has been met with an unprecedented onslaught of legal challenges from far-left activist judges and groups determined to sabotage his second term in power.

 

Appearing on The War Room with Steve Bannon, Josh Hammer, Senior Counsel for the Article III Project, recently warned that what America is witnessing is not just judicial activism—it’s an outright judicial insurrection.

 

So far, the Supreme Court has shamefully failed to shut down the lawlessness of these far-left activists.

 

Attorney Josh Hammer previously noted that the first Trump administration, from 2017 to 2021 faced 65 nationwide injunctions.

 

President Trump, in less than two months, has faced 137 legal challenges by activist judges. Only two cases are closed.

 

On Tuesday, Mike Johnson threatened to act against these lawless America-hating district judges.

Josh Hammer Perfectly Describes the ‘Judicial Insurrectionists’ Attempting to Shut Down Trump Admin – These Radical Leftist Judges Filed More Nationwide Injunctions Against Trump than ALL PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS COMBINED! (VIDEO)

 

On Thursday, Josh Hammer, the Senior Counsel of the Article III Project, was a guest on The War Room with Steve Bannon.

 

Since entering office in January, President Trump has faced what Hammer calls “a left-wing lower-court judicial insurrection.”

 

This is similar to how the communist left attacked him using a cadre of radical activist judges his first time in office.

 

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, the Supreme Court finally stepped in to block one of these judicial activists for the first time.

 

Chief Justice Roberts temporarily stopped Judge Amir Ali’s midnight deadline and halted his order forcing the Trump Admin to pay $2 billion in foreign contracts.

 

On Thursday, Josh Hammer described how these radical judges are attempting to shut down the Trump administration with their likely coordinated judicial activism.

 

Josh Hammer: Great to be back with you, first of all. Last night, Chief Justice John Roberts of the United States Supreme Court basically stepped in for the first time, from what I can tell, to finally swat down one of these lower-court judicial insurrectionists who was trying to bring the entirety of the Trump administration to a halt.

 

What I put on X was I said, “Chief Justice Roberts to lower-court judicial insurrection, FAFO,” which I’m not going to say a bad word on air, Steve, but F around and find out. That’s basically what it’s saying there. This is what many of us have been calling for for weeks.

 

Let me just lay the scene briefly here. What we’re seeing is not just judicial activism, Steve. I used the words very carefully there. I mean, this is a full-on judicial insurrection, going back to the very first days of this administration in power.

 

By the way, those of us with a long enough memory to remember the first Trump administration. This is nothing new.

 

The first Trump administration from 2017 to 2021, faced, by my count, I believe, it was 65 so-called nationwide injunctions, which, by the way, is more than the first 44 presidents of the United States combined, literally in all of American history, faced there.

 

They basically picked up in January, just last month, as if they hadn’t lost a beat over the past four years. Whether it’s a judge in Washington State or Ohio or Washington DC or Florida, or Hawaii, the notion that you can issue a TRO, a temporary restraining order, and thereby try to bring a federal executive branch policy and executive order to halt. It’s completely anathema. It’s bat-crap crazy. That’s not how the separation of powers works.

So, this is all coming to a halt, and it’s about time that the Supreme Court finally, finally, finally swatted away. Now, this exact case that Chief Justice Roberts stepped in last night, it’s from Washington, DC. It’s from a district Court judge by the name of Amir Ali.

The so-called temporary restraining order in question basically would purport to require the Trump administration to continue the slush fund of all foreign contracts and contractors billions of billions of dollars when it comes to the State Department and USAID.

 

The problem, Steve, there’s a lot of problems here. There’s all what I just said. But even on these specifics here, you can’t even issue a temporary restraining order when it comes to an executive order in the first place.

 

That’s actually not how administrative law works. If you want to go there, you need a final agency action from, let’s call it the State Department there. That didn’t happen here. They’re trying to sue just an executive order. So it’s wrong on the actual substantive underlying law as well.

 

But the broader point is the more important ones,

 

I think, which is, I think, I predict, and I really hope that this is going to be the beginning of a more active SCOTAS, of a more active nine justice on the Supreme Court that are going to get more involved in patrolling and policing this lower Court judicial insurrection, which they have every power in the world to do.

 

The Supreme Court of the United States is the only court in the country that is literally established by the Constitution, so it’s the only one that is required. All the other lower courts basically just exist at Congress’s discretion there.

 

It’s implicit in that understanding there and that hierarchy and that structure that SCOTUS has the power to swat down all of these lower court administrative stays, temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, whatever legalese they want to call it there.

 

They can and they must get involved when these lower courts exceed their legitimate jurisdiction.

 

The big question, and I’ll end on this, the big question here is, when will SCOTUS hear a direct challenge to the entire practice of these so-called nationwide injunctions in the first place?

 

These so-called nationwide injunctions are completely unconstitutional. It is not part of the judicial power of Article 3. It is an illegitimate remedy there. It hamstrung the Trump administration the first time around. I fear Steve, my fear is that unless and until SCOTUS directly weighs in on this, and the DOJ, the acting solicitor general of the United States, Sarah Harris, they can get that petition nicely teed up, God willing.

 

But unless and until SCOTUS cleanly rules that the lower courts cannot do this, they cannot bring the entirety of the executive branch to a breaching halt with one puny little one paragraph order in some random judicial chambers out in Hawaii, whatever there, unless and until they do that, we risk letting this whole second Trump administration get away, I fear.

 

This was well worth your time to gain an understanding of what these lawless judicial insurrectionists are doing to our country.

 

They must be stopped.

 

Everyone in the country knows this is against the US Constitution. It’s time for SCOTUS to act.

The Atlantic editor who published some of the war texts from Donald Trump's administration is considering releasing more of the group chat. Jeffrey Goldberg, the magazine's editor-in-chief, told Tim Miller on the Bulwark Podcast his team is mulling over releasing the full trove of Signal app messages.

'My colleagues and I and the people who are giving us advice on this have some interesting conversations to have about this,' Goldberg told the podcast. 'But just because they're irresponsible with material, doesn't mean that I'm going to be irresponsible.'

Goldberg made the jaw-dropping revelation on Monday that Trump's national security team had added him to a top secret chat about military strikes in Yemen. National Security Adviser Mike Waltz started the conversation on Signal, an encrypted messaging app.

It included users identified as Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. A CIA representative, Trump adviser Stephen Miller and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles were also listed in the group.

Goldberg noted that 'Pete Hegseth, the secretary of defense, had texted (him) the war plan at 11:44 a.m.' The bombs started dropping in Yemen around 2 p.m.

On the Bulwark podcast, Goldberg said his initial reaction to receiving the messages was, 'if this is real, why the hell do I have this?' Goldberg revealed that the chat also contained the name of a covert CIA agent.

'I withheld her name - they named somebody who's an active CIA officer in this thread which is on Signal - and I withheld it, I didn't put it in the story, because she's undercover,' he said. The shocking story shows operational details were unwittingly revealed. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, a former Fox News host, is now under the microscope over the egregious failing.

Trump told reporters at the White House he hadn't seen The Atlantic story: 'I don't know anything about it. I'm not a big fan of the Atlantic. It's to me, it's a magazine that's going out of business.'

 

When pressed about the Signal chat, Trump said: 'It couldn't have been very effective, because the attack was very effective. I can tell you that I don't know anything about it. You're telling me about it for the first time.'

 

While speaking with reporters in Hawaii, Hegseth claimed that Goldberg had not got hold of the confidential messages.

 

'You're talking about a deceitful and highly discredited so-called journalist who's made a profession of peddling hoaxes time and time again,' Hegseth said. On the Bulwark podcast, Miller asked Goldberg whether he would consider publishing the messages to demonstrate the legitimacy of his claim.

 

'Maybe in the coming days, I'll be able to let you know that, 'OK, I have a plan to have this material vetted publicly',' Goldberg said. 'But I'm not going to say that now, because there's a lot of conversations that have to happen about that.'

 

Goldberg doubled down, saying the group chat messages included 'who they were trying to kill in the next two hours'. He slammed Trump's team as 'defensive'.

 

'At moments like this, when they're under pressure because they've been caught with their hand in the cookie jar or whatever, you know, they will just literally say anything to get out of the moment,' Goldberg said.

 

'As much as I enjoy national security investigative reporting, I don't need strike plans two hours before a launch,' he added. 'That should not be coming into my phone. I mean, I take this stuff very, very seriously and I take the responsibility not to get Americans killed very, very seriously.'

“I am truly here for very selfish reasons,” Crockett said. “Starting with March 29, it’s my birthday, and all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down! Yes!”

 

On Tuesday morning, Loomer Unleashed DC Correspondent Charles Downs attempted to confront Crockett about her disgusting remarks as she walked down a hallway. She tries to ignore Downs at first while laughing and talking to Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN).

 

Downs, though, continues to pursue Crockett and asks her to clarify her anti-Tesla comments. Right before the video ends, Crockett loses her temper and tries to steal the journalist’s phone.

An Alleged Comey 'Honeypot' Sex Sting Against Trump Smells Fishy

 

Just eight days before the 2024 election, a lawyer claiming to represent an anonymous FBI whistleblower sent a politically explosive letter to Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee alleging former FBI Director James Comey first began investigating Donald Trump shortly after he announced his run for president in June 2015, and did so without foundation.

 

More shocking, the letter claimed Comey “inserted” female undercover agents into Trump’s campaign to travel with him and his staff and fish for possible evidence of criminal activity as part of a so-called “honeypot” sting operation. The letter further claims the probe was never entered in the bureau’s case management system as required by Justice Department rules. 

 

At first blush, these bombshell allegations of abuses of power at the highest level of the FBI sound plausible given the FISA surveillance violations and other serious misconduct that DOJ’s inspector general found the FBI committed during Comey's so-called Russiagate probe of Trump in 2016.  

 

But they are based on a two-page letter that contains substantial errors. RealClearInvestigations has found that the letter was written by a Connecticut attorney with a reputation for sensationalizing complaints against the FBI. The lawyer, Kurt Siuzdak, is himself a disgruntled former FBI agent who sued the agency when Comey was running it.

 

Siuzdak’s Oct. 28, 2024, letter is not so much a “whistleblower disclosure,” as described, but his own summation of allegations leveled by an “FBI employee” whom he does not name in the letter. Nevertheless, the letter has received broad attention during the last few weeks, including news stories and social media posts alleging FBI abuse and a cryptic tweet from FBI Director Kash Patel that seemed to throw cold water on its claims.

HHS Releases Tool To Search For Chemical Contaminants In Foods

 

The tool is an online searchable database that lists contaminant levels. Unveiled on March 20, it lets users filter by contaminant type as well as food category, with examples including milk, pistachios, and bananas.

 

“HHS is committed to radical transparency to give Americans authentic, informed consent about what they are eating,” Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a statement. “This new Chemical Contaminants Transparency Tool is a critical step for industry to Make America Healthy Again.”

 

Since being tapped by President Donald Trump to lead HHS, Kennedy has vowed to remove toxic chemicals from the U.S. food supply as part of an agenda dubbed Make America Healthy Again, also known as MAHA.

 

Trump in February, after Kennedy was sworn in, established the Make America Health Again Commission. He directed the commission to, among other tasks, “assess the threat that potential over-utilization of medication, certain food ingredients, certain chemicals, and certain other exposures pose to children with respect to chronic inflammation or other established mechanisms of disease, using rigorous and transparent data, including international comparisons.”

 

Kennedy recently met with executives from some top food companies and told them he wanted them to stop using artificial dyes. HHS is also trying to end a rule that lets food companies use additives without formal regulatory authorization.

 

The new searchable contaminant tool does not impose any new requirements. It consolidates information already available in various documents, including guidance the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has published previously. The FDA is an office inside the HHS.

 

“Ideally there would be no contaminants in our food supply, but chemical contaminants may occur in food when they are present in the growing, storage or processing environments,” Dr. Sara Brenner, acting commissioner of the FDA, said in a statement. “Because many of the most nutritious foods can also contain contaminants, consumers should eat a variety of nutrient-dense foods across and within the main food groups of vegetables, fruits, grains, dairy and protein to help protect from possible exposure effects.”

 

The FDA said that it will keep monitoring the nation’s food supply through testing.

 

“Under Secretary Kennedy’s leadership, the FDA is committed to promoting radical transparency to make sure all Americans know what is in their food and Make America Healthy Again,” it said.

One Arabella-backed organization, the Economic Security Project (ESP), has funded advertising and research in support of Direct File.Last year, the group received a $752,197 grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundationto “conduct research on the impact and usage” of Direct File.

 

That work culminated in a media blitz encouraging largely low-income taxpayers to adopt Direct File, which was first made available as a pilot program in 2024 for taxpayers across a dozen states. Last year, the IRS agreed to make the program permanent,but it has since come under fire from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump-appointed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent agreed to temporarily keep the program through the 2025 tax season, earning him praise from progressive groups including ESP.

 

ESP is fiscally sponsored by the Hopewell Fund, a nonprofit managed by Arabella Advisors. The arrangement allows ESP to operate as a project of the Hopewell Fund, taking advantage of Hopewell’s nonprofit status without having to register with the IRS or publicly disclose its own finances.

 

ESP’s goal isn’t simply to make filing taxes easier. Adam Ruben, a former aide to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who is now managing outreach for the group, called Direct File “[o]ne of the best tools we haveto create the infrastructure for guaranteed income in this country” and said Direct File “is a huge opportunity for economic security and racial equity.”

 

Groundwork Collaborative, another non-profit receiving funding through the Arabella Network, has led its own media blitz supporting Direct File. Groundwork Action, the group’s advocacy arm, funded a “Better IRS” ad campaign promoting direct file and attacking private-sector tax preparers. Like ESP, Groundwork is led by a former policy advisor to Elizabeth Warren.

 

ESP and Groundwork help fund and operate The Coalition for Free and Fair Filing, which “supports the Internal Revenue Service’s efforts to create a free online direct tax filing tool,” according to the group’s website. “The coalition is composed of organizations committed to racial and economic justice, consumer protection, the advancement of civic technology and the promotion ofequity in tax administration.”

 

Supporters of Direct File frame it, in part, as an effort to help low-income tax filersand also as a better way to ensure collection of higher tax revenues by the IRS.

 

Critics of Direct File highlight the inherent conflict of interest in having the IRS prepare people’s tax returns. Last year, a group of Republican Senators challenged the IRS’s ability to unilaterally launch such a program, saying “[s]erious legal questions exist about the IRS Direct File launch,” which was undertaken without Congressional approval.

 

The IRS initially received funding for a pilot program for an in-house tax filing tool through the Inflation Reduction Act. Last year, Direct File was made available to users in 12 states. For 2025, availability has expanded to 32 million taxpayers in 25 states.

Watchdog sues national security officials over Signal controversy, citing Federal Records Act

 

The watchdog American Oversight filed the lawsuit, which asked a judge to rule that messages and communications sent via Signal when conducting official business are subject to the Federal Records Act.

 

A nonpartisan federal watchdog on Tuesday sued members of President Donald Trump's national security team who were part of a group chat that accidentally added a journalist, which included the sharing of sensitive information.

 

Jeffrey Goldberg, The Atlantic's editor-in-chief, was accidentally added to a chain last week containing messages from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, Vice President JD Vance, and 15 other senior national security officials. The discussion regarded the Defense Department's strike plans on the Houthis in Yemen.

 

The watchdog American Oversight filed the lawsuit, which asked a judge to rule that messages and communications sent via Signal when conducting official business are subject to the Federal Records Act, NBC News reported.

 

“Messages in the Signal chat about official government actions, including, but not limited to, national security deliberations, are federal records and must be preserved in accordance with federal statutes, and agency directives, rules, and regulations,” the lawsuit stated.

 

“Defendants’ use of Signal presents a substantial risk that they have used and continue to use Signal in other contexts, thereby creating records that are subject to the [Federal Records Act] and/or the [Freedom of Information Act], but are not being preserved as required by those statutes," the lawsuit added.

 

The lawsuit also claimed that under current State Department and Treasury Department recordkeeping rules, officials are not required to send Signal messages to their official email accounts, which bars the public from obtaining the records under the Freedom of Information Act.

Colorado's roads are deteriorating, as more money moves away from maintaining the roads in favor of funding public transportation and electric vehicle programs.

This comes even as transportation fees continue to increase for Coloradans, raising over $200 million.

 

This is all according to a March report titled “The Ongoing Shift of Transportation Dollars,” which was authored by Ben Stein for the Common Sense Institute of Colorado.

 

In an exclusive interview with The Center Square, Stein said that one of the biggest problems currently facing Colorado’s transportation infrastructure is the misdirection of funds away from directly fixing the roads.

 

“I think that the average citizen, when paying these additional fees that have been created in the last four or five years, presumes that that money is going to improve the transportation infrastructure,” Stein said. “In fact, only a small proportion of it is.”

 

Instead, the report found that the “bulk” of the money collected through those fees has gone to environmental mitigation and mass transit efforts.

 

Many of those efforts are being pushed as part of Gov. Jared Polis’ Transportation Vision 2035 plan, which makes it a goal to lower emissions in the state by methodically reducing “the use of vehicles, particularly those powered by fossil fuels.”

 

Yet, Stein argued that Colorado’s geography will make it nearly impossible to effectively move toward mass transit.

 

“I don't believe, if you look at the land-use patterns where people live in Colorado today, that mass transit is really going to be an effective solution,” he told The Center Square. “It’s very difficult to imagine that mass transit is a viable solution.”

 

The report added that the monies that are directed toward infrastructure just aren’t meeting the Department of Transportation’s needs, with inflation, the redirection of funds and the state’s geography all playing a role in that.

 

“Over the long term, the resources available simply are insufficient to operate, maintain and expand the state’s highway system to maintain appropriate service levels,” the report found.

 

The problem isn’t going to get any better either, as Colorado’s roads already rank some of the worst in the nation.

 

This is according to a March report from the Reason Foundation, which ranked Colorado 47th for the condition of its rural highway pavement and 45th for urban highway pavement.

 

Stein said it is important to raise awareness about the redirection of funds, so that Coloradans know what their transportation fees are actually funding.

 

“There really needs to be statewide conversation so that the people of Colorado can say, ‘Yes, removing emissions is so important to us that we are prepared to have these fees go toward this, regardless of what it means for the long term condition of the state highway infrastructure.' ”

“We are writing to let you know that the Office of Long COVID Research and Practice will be closing as part of the administration’s reorganization coming this week,” the email reads. “We are proud of what we have accomplished together advancing understanding, resources, and support for people living with Long COVID.”

 

The email comes despite HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s commitment during his confirmation hearing to direct funding for long COVID research. It is not clear if that research will continue in another capacity.
