The US is reportedly "preparing a partial evacuation of its Iraqi embassy" due to possible Iranian retaliatory strikes that could follow a US or Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear sites.

The United States is preparing a partial evacuation of its Iraqi embassy and will allow military dependents to leave locations around the Middle East due to heightened security risks in the region, U.S. and Iraqi sources said on Wednesday.

 

The four U.S. and two Iraqi sources did not specify which security risks had prompted the decision to evacuate and the State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Oil prices rose on the report of the evacuation.

 

U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to strike Iran if stuttering talks over its nuclear programme fail and on Wednesday he said he was growing less confident that Tehran would agree to stop enriching uranium, a key American demand.

 

Iranian Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh also said on Wednesday that Iran would retaliate against U.S. bases in the region if the nuclear talks failed and it was subjected to strikes.

It's looking like we may be on the brink of yet another war for Israel.

 

The Trump administration completely bugled their war on the Houthis earlier this year (which was another war that was entirely for Israel) and now they're threatening to go to war with Iran if they won't accept their garbage nuclear deal (which is even worse than the Obama nuclear deal that Trump tore up purely to please the late Israel First GOP megadonor Sheldon Adelson).

We can only hope this will be some tit-for-tat exchange of symbolic strikes and not the start of World War III.

 

The Iranians claimed on Monday that newly obtained intelligence smuggled out of Israel gave them deep knowledge of Israel's nuclear sites and would allow them to carry out a "immediate" counter attack if their own nuclear sites were hit.

 

We may find out soon whether or not they were bluffing.

Sophisticated criminal networks are illegally importing huge volumes of fuel — and piling pressure on Mexico’s president

 

Every evening at dusk, about 90 kilometres north of Mexico City, the main highway lights up with flashing strobes. Truck drivers know this means one thing: illicit fuel is sold here.

 

For decades, criminal groups in Mexico have stolen fuel from the state, a practice known as huachicol.

 

But in recent years this has been eclipsed by a new and advanced form of smuggling — diesel and gasoline moved across the border from the US via truck,

train or sea.

 

“What we’re seeing is a major shift in the illicit fuel game that organised criminal groups in Mexico and co-conspirators in the United States in some cases are playing,” says David Soud, head of research and analysis at international security consulting firm IR Consilium. “What this showcases is how smart and how adaptive these organisations are in their business models.”

 

Estimates from the last five years suggest that illegal diesel and gasoline make up anywhere between 16 % and 27% of Mexico’s annual fuel consumption — between 172,000 and 290,000 barrels per day.

 

That could have a final retail sale value of between $12bn and $21bn a year.

 

“It’s a very big black market,” says Samuel León, a Mexican researcher who has written a book on fuel theft. “It’s one of the biggest black markets for hydrocarbons on the planet.”

This interview with PDJT and Miranda Devine was really one of the best interviews I've seen.PDJT was very casual, revealed a lot of details of his youth, his life in business, some tiny secrets, maybe, and as President before and Now. Also Miranda is very calm and personable with him and vice versa, he was comfortable, maybe more so than I've seen in an interview.. It had a very friendly tone with no anxiety from the interviewer.

Thirty Defendants Charged with Narcotics and Firearms Offenses in Connection with Newark Drug Trafficking Organization

 

Newark, N.J. – U.S. Attorney Alina Habba announced charges today against thirty people for their respective roles in a drug trafficking organization that sold large quantities of controlled substances – including fentanyl and crack cocaine – in the area of the Kretchmer Homes housing complex along Frelinghuysen Avenue in Newark.

 

Today’s charges and arrests are the result of a long-running wiretap investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. The charges include conspiracy to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl and 280 grams or more of cocaine base, and various firearm and substantive narcotics offenses. (See chart below).

 

The 17 defendants arrested today are scheduled to have their initial court appearances this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jessica S. Allen in Newark federal court. 7 defendants were already in custody on state charges, one defendant was already in federal custody and previously appeared, and 4 defendants remain at large.

 

“These defendants are charged with operating a large-scale drug trafficking organization that poisoned our community with its distribution of massive quantities of fentanyl and crack cocaine,” U.S. Attorney Alina Habba said. “Fentanyl remains the deadliest driver of overdose deaths in our nation, devastating families everyday. We will have zero tolerance for violent gangs terrorizing our communities, flooding our neighborhoods with drugs and violence. Let today’s arrests serve as a clear warning — if you bring violence into our state, we will find you, we will dismantle your networks, and we will bring you to justice.”

 

“This was a sweeping and surgical strike against a violent drug trafficking network that terrorized an elderly community with poison and fear. The scale of this takedown sends a loud and clear message: we will not allow gangs to hold neighborhoods hostage. I commend U.S. Attorney Alina Habba for her bold leadership and thank our partners at the DEA, ATF, FBI, and local law enforcement for their relentless pursuit of justice,” FBI Director Kash Patel stated.

 

“Over the past year, the Bloods gang has terrorized the Kretchmer Homes public housing complex in Newark, NJ, using violence and fear to operate their drug trafficking business. Thanks to the hard work of our DEA team and our law enforcement partners, we successfully targeted this drug trafficking organization that has plagued and poisoned our community with illicit narcotics. This operation, which resulted in the arrest of over two dozen individuals, removed numerous firearms, and approximately seven thousand grams of heroin and fentanyl from our streets. That’s enough fentanyl to kill up to 500,000 people,” stated DEA Special Agent in Charge Cheryl Ortiz. “This wasn’t just a bust; it was a life-saving operation. As we know, fentanyl continues to be the leading cause of death in drug overdoses and poisonings. President Trump received a phone call from Elon Musk late on Monday night, which led to a public expression of regret from the billionaire early Wednesday for the attacks he had lodged against the president in their extraordinary public showdown last week, according to three people briefed on the call.

 

Mr. Musk’s outreach to Mr. Trump came after the tech entrepreneurspoke privately on Friday with Vice President JD Vance and the White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles, about a path to a truce between the two men, according to two of the people. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the private discussions.

 

The conversations paved the way for the strikingly chastened tone Mr. Musk struck in an X post early Wednesday, in which he wrote: “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.” (How is that strikingly chastened?It sounds like, “OH, I probably shouldn’t have said that!”Maggie H helpedwith the article so she injected is evil and exaggerations.)

 

Representatives for Mr. Trump and Mr. Musk did not respond to requests for comment.

 

Mr. Musk had spent several days signaling that he wanted to make up with the president after the two men engaged in a sharp series of personal attacks last Thursday that played out from the Oval Office and on social media.

 

What began as criticism by the tech billionaire of Mr. Trump’s signature domestic bill devolved into an exchange of insults that mounted throughout the day, as the president claimed he had not needed Mr. Musk’s help to get elected and Mr. Musk attempted to link Mr. Trump to the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

 

The day after Mr. Musk spoke with Ms. Wiles and Mr. Vance, he deleted his social media posts suggesting that the president’s name was in government files about Mr. Epstein.

 

It remains to be seen how Mr. Trump will handle the attempted rapprochementand whether the two men’s relationship can be restored. In the wake of their showdown, Mr. Trump told advisers that he had no interest in talking to Mr. Musk, and was done with him, a sentiment he reiterated in interviews with reporters.

 

But behind the scenes, advisers from both camps worked to arrange a détente.

 

Both Mr. Musk and Mr. Trump have a lot at stake in the relationship,but it was Mr. Musk who appeared more eager to make amends. Mr. Trump threatened to cancel billions of dollars’ worth of contracts that Mr. Musk’s rocket company, SpaceX, has with the federal government. Mr. Musk is not without leverage, however. Wisconsin Breaks From CDC, Keeps COVID-19 Vaccine Recommendation For Pregnant Women

 

Wisconsin’s health department is keeping in place its recommendation that pregnant women and all children receive one of the currently available COVID-19 vaccines, diverging from guidance by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

 

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services said on June 4 it is continuing to recommend COVID-19 vaccination for people aged 6 months and older.

 

Officials also said the state’s Medicaid would keep covering the vaccine for eligible members, including pregnant women.

 

“The current COVID-19 vaccine was thoroughly reviewed for safety and effectiveness and continues to be an important tool in preventing severe illness and death,” Kirsten Johnson, secretary of the department, said in a statement.

 

The CDC in late May stopped recommending that pregnant women receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The agency also now says that healthy children should only receive one of the shots after consulting with doctors and parents.

 

“Their decision should be based on informed consent through the clinical judgement of their healthcare provider,” a spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the CDC’s parent agency, told The Epoch Times in an email at the time.

 

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that the previous recommendations, which said that children should receive a vaccine regardless of prior vaccination and infection, were put into place “despite the lack of any clinical data to support the repeat booster strategy in children.”

 

Wisconsin officials said the changes “were not made based on new data, evidence, or scientific or medical studies” and that they were keeping in place the recommendations following an independent review.

 

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services did not return a request for comment on Wisconsin’s move.

 

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services did not respond when asked for evidence the vaccines prevent severe illness and death.

Trump says he plans to phase out FEMA after 2025 hurricane season

 

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he plans to phase out the Federal Emergency Management Agency after this year’s hurricane season, offering the clearest timeline yet for his administration’s long-term plans to dismantle the disaster relief agency and shift responsibility for response and recovery onto states.

 

“We want to wean off of FEMA, and we want to bring it down to the state level,” Trump told reporters during a briefing in the Oval Office, later saying, “A governor should be able to handle it, and frankly, if they can’t handle it, the aftermath, then maybe they shouldn’t be governor.”

 

Trump added that the federal government will start distributing less federal aid for disaster recovery and that the funding will come directly from the president’s office. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration projects this year’s hurricane season, which officially ends on November 30, to be particularly intense and potentially deadly.

 

For months, Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, whose department oversees FEMA, have vowed to eliminate the agency, repeatedly criticizing it as ineffective and unnecessary. Noem reiterated those plans Tuesday in the Oval Office, saying FEMA “fundamentally needs to go away as it exists.”

 

“We all know from the past that FEMA has failed thousand if not millions of people, and President Trump does not want to see that continue into the future,” Noem said.

 

“While we are running this hurricane season, making sure that we have pre-staged and worked with the regions that are traditionally hit in these areas, we’re also building communication and mutual aid agreements among states to respond to each other so that they can stand on their own two feet with the federal government coming in in catastrophic circumstances with funding,” she said.

 

Noem is co-chairing a new FEMA Review Council, established under Trump, with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. The council is expected to submit recommendations in the coming months to drastically reduce the agency’s footprint and reform its operations and mission.

 

Plans to eliminate FEMA have baffled federal and state emergency managers, who doubt localized efforts could replace the agency’s robust infrastructure for disaster response. Most states, they said, do not have the budget or personnel to handle catastrophic disasters on their own, even if the federal government provides a financial backstop in the most dire situations.

Pentagon launches review into AUKUS deal to ensure it meets Trump's 'America First' agenda

 

The Pentagon is reviewing the AUKUS security pact between Australia, the US and the UK.

"In principle it's a great idea. But I've been very skeptical in practice," he wrote, but added he'd become "more inclined based on new information I've gleaned".

FIRST ON FOX — The Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested a previously deported illegal immigrant from Mexico after he allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement amid rioting in Los Angeles on Saturday.

 

L.A. has experienced days of unrest, with agitators setting fire to cars, throwing bricks and fireworks at police officers and vehicles, graffitiing property, looting businesses and smashing windows of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) headquarters downtown in response to ICE raids in the city last week.

 

Emiliano Garduno-Galvez is charged with attempted murder after throwing the Molotov cocktail.

 

"Emiliano Garduno-Galvez is a criminal illegal alien from Mexico who threatened the lives of federal law enforcement officersby attacking them with a Molotov cocktail during the violent riots in Los Angeles.

 

ICE arrested Garduno-Galvez, and he is now being charged with attempted murder.These are the types of criminal illegal aliens that rioters are fighting to protect," Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a Wednesday statement.

 

McLaughlin added: "The Los Angeles rioters will not stop us or slow us down. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

 

DHS noted thatGarduno-Galvez had previously been deported and has a prior criminal record, including a 2024 arrest for grand theft near the Anaheim Police Department and a DUI in Long Beach.

 

Demonstrationshave been popping up across the country,from Asheville, North Carolina, to Chicago to Los Angeles, where unrest broke out over the weekend following a raid.

 

DHS said ICE raids in L.A. over the weekendresulted in "hundreds of illegal aliens [being] arrestedby ICE officers and agents,"=including "many with a criminal history and criminal convictions."

 

DHS listed more information about 19 suspects who ICE Los Angeles arrested on Saturday who areaccused of crimes ranging from robbery to second-degree murder to rape.

 

"America’s brave ICE officers are removing the worst of the worst from LA’s streets, while LA’s leaders are working tirelessly against them," DHS said in a Sunday statement as riots continued through the weekend.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced late Tuesday that he would deploy Texas National Guard troops across the state in anticipation of protests against federal deportation raids.

 

In a social media post, Abbott said the troop deployments were intended to “ensure peace & order.”

 

“Peaceful protest is legal. Harming a person or property is illegal & will lead to arrest,” the governor said. He did not specify where the National Guard would be sent.

 

The news comes amid demonstrations against immigration raids that started in Los Angeles last week and have spread across the country, including to Texas. On Monday evening, hundreds of protesters gathered in downtown Austin for a march that ended in the arrest of thirteen people and police firing tear gas into a portion of the crowd that refused to leave.

 

Over the weekend, President Donald Trump deployed 2,000 California National Guard troops to Los Angeles in response to protests there, doing so without permission from Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat who appointed the state guard’s adjutant general. Newsom responded by accusing Trump of choosing “theatrics over public safety” and blaming him for escalating the “chaos and violence” that unfolded.

 

California officials on Monday sued the Trump administration in a bid to halt the deployment, calling it an “unprecedented usurpation of state authority and resources.”

 

Andrew Mahaleris, an Abbott spokesperson, confirmed Wednesday that Texas National Guard soldiers “are on standby in areas where mass demonstrations are planned in case they are needed.”

 

“Peaceful protests are part of the fabric of our nation, but Texas will not tolerate the lawlessness we have seen in Los Angeles,” Mahaleris said in a statement. “Anyone engaging in acts of violence or damaging property will be swiftly held accountable to the full extent of the law.”

 

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus confirmed that Abbott has sent National Guard members to the city, but there are no additional details yet.

 

There are “No Kings” protests planned for Saturday in over two dozen Texas cities, including Houston, Austin, Lubbock and Longview. The title of the events — organized by the progressive group Indivisible — is meant to signal opposition to what the organizers see as Trump’s authoritarian actions.

 

Immigrant Families and Students in the Fight, known as FIEL, is also planning a “Chant Down the Walls” protest in Houston on Friday.

 

To prepare, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is “coordinating with area public safety partners” to ensure that the demonstrations on Saturday will play out without endangering the public, the agency said in a statement.

 

“Harris County has a long history of people exercising their right to protest peacefully while respecting opposing viewpoints, and I fully expect Saturday’s demonstrations to continue that legacy,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in the statement.

 

Austin Mayor Kirk Watson said he is “supportive of people exercising their right to engage in peaceful protest against politics and policies that they disagree with. However, destructive actions or efforts to hurt police is wrong.”

 

“Much of what we see out of Washington is to create fear and chaos — we should not play into these politics of fear,” Watson, a Democrat, said in a statement. “Adding to the chaos — through destruction of property, hurting other people, including police officers, or otherwise — adds to the problems for those people being targeted while empowering those in Washington who want more pain and chaos.”

Trump administration officials are laying the groundwork for a bold new strategy to sidestep local opposition to their immigration agenda, according to a Fox News contributor who said he’s impressed with their plans.

Marc Thiessen, a previous speech writer to former President George W. Bush, told a Fox panel he was left amazed after learning that immigration officials, led by White House border czar Tom Homan and Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, will soon begin employing a new classification of law-breaking behavior by illegal immigrants that sanctuary cities and states may find impossible to ignore.

Until now, sanctuary locales have been generally free to ignore civil detainers by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement, which are lodged when federal officials receive notice that a suspected illegal immigrant has been placed in custody. The suspects are frequently given court appearances, either walking on recognizance or posting bond before ICE agents can arrive days later to apprehend them.

But such jurisdictions will be no match for felony federal warrants, a new charge that the Trump administration plans to slap illegal immigrants with after they are located.

“Two elections now, Donald Trump has beaten the Democrats, powered by illegal immigration, and they still can’t seem to get it right,” Thiessen said while speaking about the Los Angeles riots. “You have people literally burning cars, throwing rocks at ICE agents, and the Democrats are siding with the protesters over the administration trying to restore law and order.”

“And what has the left riled up, and what’s causing all this, is that the Trump administration has figured out a way around sanctuary city laws. Local officials can refuse to honor an ICE detainer, but they can’t refuse to honor a federal felony warrant. So the Trump administration has this thing called Operation Guardian Angel, where they are charging illegal migrants who reenter the country with felony illegal reentry, and then they are presenting the local jurisdictions with federal felony warrants, and they have to hand them over. Martha’s Vineyard residents are unhappy with the Trump administration deporting illegal immigrants from their liberal enclave, The Washington Post reported this week.

 

The Massachusetts community has been reeling since Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested dozens of illegal immigrants in a recent raid, according to the report.(ICE arrested their slave labor, but the rich people believe they are helping the slaves, sounds familiar like the Southern Plantations)

 

"It’s bullying," one Martha’s Vineyard resident, Charlie Giordano, told the Post. "I don’t know how many are illegal or legal, I don’t give a s—. But I do care about how they’re treated."

 

The Washington Post’s story on the Martha’s Vineyard ICE raid comes as the federal law enforcement agency has been the focus of riots in downtown Los Angeles for the past several days.

 

ICE agents carried out operations at businesses across Los Angeles on Friday, sparking protests and clashes outside multiple locations that grew so chaotic that President Donald Trump ordered National Guard troops into the city, followed by several hundred U.S. Marines, to restore order. Some California officials, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, have accused the administration of exacerbating the situation.

 

As the Post reported, ICE agents performed a massive sting throughout Massachusetts in late May that resulted in nearly 1,500 arrests. Forty of those arrests happened on the two islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

The arrests have ignited "fear among undocumented workers who form the backbone of the workforce here just as the busy summer season gets underway," the outlet reported. (Damn it, they should have been fearful coming in the US illegally.)

 

"After the raid, many immigrants panicked and shuttered themselves indoors.Many spoke to The Washington Post only on the condition of anonymity because they fear being targeted the next time ICE arrives on the island. They recounted taking extraordinary measures that day and in the week after to protect themselves," the Post said, adding that the liberal community on the island had been shaken as well.

 

"The arrests hit a nerve in a liberal enclave known for welcoming everyone: presidents — former president Barack Obama has an oceanfront property here — LGBTQ+ activists, racial minorities, celebrities and a large cluster of immigrants from Brazil," the paper noted. (Oh the Ex President that called to get the illegals off the Island when sent there by De Santis?)

 

One Brazilian resident, who admitted to the Post he isundocumented, warned that the local economy will crater because of the arrests and deportations.(There’s plenty of Americans that want a job.)

 

The anonymous man, who also owns three businesses in Martha’s Vineyard, said, "The money is just going to stop flowing. The U.S. is only losing in pushing us out." (How does he own three business’s does he pay taxes, or incorporate?)

 

The island has become a safe haven for many illegal immigrants from Brazil in recent decades as they fled their home country due to hyperinflation and other economic problems. According to the outlet, many came over on work or tourist visas, but ended up staying in the country. (They can go back to Brazil now, the country is doing better.)

 

The Post reported that these immigrants"established businesses offering food and cleaning services that are now crucial to daily life in a resort town. Today there are few restaurant menus here that don’t offer Brazilian-inspired options like croquettes or traditional cheesy bread." It noted just how prevalent the Portuguese language is within the community as well.

 

An anonymous Brazilian woman, who owns a business and has raised three children on the island, told the paper,"The American people love us because we work so hard to help the community prosper and grow."

"This was a safe place," she added.

 

Residents said that the recent arrests "felt arbitrary and included valued community members who had committed no crime," according to the Post. A Brazilian pastor on the island told the outlet, "ICE would come here to get criminals and that is good. But the way they did it now, that was not it."

 

However, the paper acknowledged ICE’s recent statement disputing those claims. According to the agency, more than half of all the illegal immigrants detained in Massachusetts last month had a criminal record.

 

ICE did not immediately reply to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Unfortunately, that record $22.2 Billion in tariffs is a drop in the pool compared to all the US government spending, which there was a lot of in May, $687.2 Billion to be precise (up 2.5% from a year ago) so the tariffs covered precisely… 3% of US government spending. To smooth out the chart, here is the same spending data on a 6 month moving average basis. With the exception of the covid panic, the US government has never spent more!
