State attorney general says situation is ‘deeply concerning’

 

The largest school district in Alaska is facing controversy after the recent revelation it had added a “disclaimer” to the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution.

 

Must Read Alaska reported Saturday that the disclaimer reads “The Anchorage School District does not endorse these materials or the viewpoint expressed in them.”

 

A student in the district discovered the disclaimer and showed her mother, who then posted about it on Facebook.

 

“I was honestly stunned,” the mom wrote. “These aren’t controversial documents, they are the foundation of our country and what our students are supposed to be learning about. Why would a school need to distance itself from the very principles we are built on?

 

“I fully support transparency in education and just want to understand this policy better. Parents deserve clarity. If outside materials are being sent home, especially involving American founding documents, the messaging should be thoughtful and not confusing to families.”

 

Alaska Attorney General Stephen Cox, a Republican, wrote on X that the situation is “deeply concerning”:

 

“Public officers have to uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution. I took such an oath on my first day. Alaska law requires school board members to sign—and swear to support and defend—the U.S. Constitution. When a public school district says it won’t endorse the Constitution or the Declaration, or ‘the viewpoints expressed in them,’ something has gone terribly wrong.”

As seen in the photo, the documents appear to have been provided by Hillsdale College which means the disclaimer may have been automatically added to the materials due to the district’s flyer approval process: “All copies of material to be posted and / or distributed must contain a disclaimer on the front page stating: ‘The Anchorage School District does not endorse this program/these materials or the viewpoints expressed therein.’”

 

The College Fix has asked the district for comment; this article will be updated accordingly upon receipt of a response.

Secretary Duffy Clashes With Buttigieg Over Trump’s Message to Air Traffic Controllers

 

Transportation Secretary Duffy and former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg clashed on Monday after Buttigieg responded to Trump’s message to air traffic controllers, amid the possibility that the longest government shutdown in American history was about to end.

 

Pete Buttigieg responded on X, writing, "The President wouldn't last five minutes as an air traffic controller, and after everything they've been through - and the way this administration has treated them from Day One - he has no business shitting on them now."

Secretary Duffy fired back, claiming that Buttigieg was "AWOL" during his tenure as Transportation Secretary and saying that he spends much of his day addressing problems caused by Buttigieg’s neglect."Give me a break," Duffy wrote. Many have praised Secretary Duffy for his proactive management and clear communication amid the Schumer Shutdown, ensuring that whatever negative effects were felt were mitigated to the best of his ability.

 

On Monday, the president addressed air traffic controllers directly in a post on Truth Social. He applauded controllers who came into work despite the shutdown, and called out those who didn't, saying:

 

All Air Traffic Controllers must get back to work, NOW!!! Anyone who doesn’t will be substantially “docked.” For those Air Traffic Controllers who were GREAT PATRIOTS, and didn’t take ANY TIME OFF for the “Democrat Shutdown Hoax,” I will be recommending a BONUS of $10,000 per person for distinguished service to our Country. For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everyone knew they would be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK that was only meant to hurt our Country. You will have a negative mark, at least in my mind, against your record. How would you guys deal with a boss that is constantly treating you with disrespect and demeaning you in front of people? I've put in some applications at other places today but in the meantime, what do you suggest? Boss is forcing me to work from home (fine) and is going to use it as an excuse to lower my pay (fuck him). A pervious employee went to the FBI because he was selling the samples we are supposed to give out (fraud) but nothing ever came of it.

A Pennsylvania woman won a temporary ruling allowing her to keep her mechanical meter and requiring her electric company to maintain her power while her lawsuit against the state’s smart meter mandate proceeds. 👏

 

If the court rules in her favor, it could set a precedent that helps others in Pennsylvania seeking to opt out of a smart meter, said W. Scott McCollough, lead litigator of Children’s Health Defense’s (CHD) Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) & Wireless Program.

 

Pennsylvania doesn’t allow opt-outs, so residents who experience negative health effects from smart meters have little recourse, he said.

PFAS Chemicals: EDCs Contaminating Our Water and Food Supply

 

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are manmade chemicals used as oil and water repellents and coatings for common products including cookware, carpets, and textiles. These endocrine-disrupting chemicals do not break down when they are released into the environment, and they continue to accumulate over time.

 

PFAS chemicals can contaminate drinking water supplies near facilities where the chemicals are used. EU Launches €2.9B Plan to Kickstart Green Transport Fuels, But Industry Warns Speed Is Critical

The European Commission launched its Sustainable Transport Investment Plan last week, setting an ambitious roadmap to transform the aviation and waterborne transport sectors through renewable and low-carbon fuels. The plan seeks to mobilize at least €2.9 billion by the end of 2027 to address what officials describe as an urgent need to scale up alternative fuel production.

 

The stakes are significant. To meet targets established under the ReFuelEU Aviation and FuelEU Maritime regulations, the EU will need approximately 20 million tonnes of sustainable alternative fuels by 2035, requiring an estimated €100 billion in market investments.

 

“Our Sustainable Transport Investment Plan is a decisive step towards a sustainable future. It’s not just about cutting emissions – it’s about building a stronger, more competitive and resilient Europe that leads in sustainable transport,” stated Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas.

 

The plan’s short-term measures include €2 billion from InvestEU to remove investment barriers, €300 million through the European Hydrogen Bank for hydrogen production supporting sustainable aviation and maritime fuels, and hundreds of millions more through the Innovation Fund for specific fuel projects.

 

Industry response has been mixed, with stakeholders praising the framework while emphasizing the need for rapid implementation. Jim Corbett, Environmental Director for Europe at the World Shipping Council, called the plan “a promising first step” but stressed that “the strategy must be taken forward in ways that deliver real impact on maritime decarbonization.”

 

The World Shipping Council pointed to its own research showing the maritime sector alone could uptake 14.4 million tonnes of oil equivalent of renewable fuels by 2035—representing roughly 70 percent of the Commission’s combined target for aviation and maritime—if proper investment conditions materialize. The organization emphasized that over €150 billion has already been invested in dual-fuel ships ready to run on zero or near-zero fuels by 2030, but these investments will only translate into emissions reductions if renewable fuels become competitively priced.

 

SEA-LNG welcomed the plan’s recognition of methane-based pathways, including LNG, bio-methane and e-methane. Steve Esau, Chief Operating Officer at SEA-LNG, noted that “policymakers increasingly recognise the need to balance competitiveness with sustainability and to focus on proven practical and realistic solutions that deliver towards decarbonisation today”.

 

However, environmental groups warned about timing. Transport & Environment acknowledged promising steps to boost e-fuels production but cautioned that action is needed by 2026. Antony Froggatt, senior director for aviation, shipping and energy at T&E, stated: “The plan clearly acknowledges the important role of e-fuels in decarbonising aviation and shipping. For the first time, the EU will develop an effective financial instrument to kickstart production. The EU must now follow through on these commitments if it is to help preserve Europe’s technological leadership in e-fuels.”

 

The plan is structured around three pillars: a strategic framework identifying investment needs, financing actions with short and medium-term impact to unlock investments, and an external dimension facilitating global production while ensuring fair competition for EU businesses.

 

In the medium term, the Commission plans to establish an intermediary mechanism connecting fuel producers and buyers to provide revenue certainty and de-risk investments. An eSAF Early Movers Coalition pilot project, launching by year’s end alongside committed Member States, aims to mobilize at least €500 million for synthetic aviation fuel projects.

 

The STIP follows the IMO’s October failure to adopt a global carbon pricing system for shipping. Member states postponed the Net-Zero Framework vote to October 2026 due to pressure from the Trump Administration and petro-states. The delay pushes enforcement to decade’s end, leaving the EU’s Emissions Trading System (ETS), combined with the FuelEU Maritime, as the only major carbon-pricing regime for global shipping, reinforcing Europe’s role as de facto climate regulator.

 

As Europe positions itself to lead the global maritime energy transition, the consensus among industry stakeholders is clear: ambitious targets require equally ambitious and swift implementation to bridge the gap between renewable fuel production capacity and the sector’s decarbonization goals.

Thanks anon. I've got some limiting factors. If I could do anything I wanted I'd be a farmer. I've got some health problems that ultimately shouldn't matter but the medicine I take negates any law/government stuff. Realistically, I don't know what I would want to do. I feel like the guy in Office Space. I just want to win the lottery and never work again. Or do fun things like have animals (goats and cows) for work. I live on some land and it isn't out of the realm of possibility, but I lack the heavy equipment and money to get something like that going in a meaningful (financial) way. I've just been so beaten down the last few years I've lost all interest in the stuff I used to love. I used to want to have a family too, but I'm so far at the bottom I don't think that will ever happen. I've been my companies whipping boy for about 6 years now, even though I do most of the stuff nobody else can. I wouldn't even mind being so underpaid if I was treated with some minimal respect. I've worked in factories plenty, any honestly I'd work on an assembly line and be happy if it meant I could pay all the bills.

Shipping stands at a complex moment in its decarbonisation journey. The IMO’s overall strategy for reaching net zero remains in place, even as the formal adoption of its Net Zero Framework has been delayed. In practice, this pause at the global level seems set to be offset by faster-moving regional measures that will increase commercial and compliance pressure on shipowners. Together they create a landscape where the pressure to act is rising, but certainty about what works remains elusive.

 

In that context, clean technologies occupy a critical but challenging space. They are essential to decarbonisation, yet their credibility rests on proof that they can deliver beyond trials and into day-to-day operation. There is still pressure to act, but any actions must be measured, proven and practical.

 

For any system claiming to cut fuel use or emissions, what matters most is how it performs in the real world: in different sea states, across varied vessel types, at a range of speeds and on a variety of trades. Without that depth of validation, even promising innovations risk becoming stalled at the pilot stage. The next phase of clean-technology progress will be defined not by how many solutions are available, but by how consistently they deliver under the full range of conditions that define operations at sea.

 

Nowhere is this tension more visible than in the field of air lubrication. Two decades of development have only produced approximately 600 systems installed or on order worldwide – progress, but not the kind expected of a proven decarbonisation technology. The question is no longer whether air lubrication works in theory, but why it has yet to convince shipowners at scale and in practice.

 

Shipowners’ perception of air lubrication stems directly from their experience with first-generation systems. Operators have encountered technology that promises much and may deliver satisfactory performance but only in specific, ‘ideal’ conditions. Beyond these narrowly defined parameters, the same complex mechanical systems demand significant power consumption from compressors that erode net savings, add costs and impose maintenance burdens.

 

These experiences have left shipowners rightly focused on one question above all others: can the technology sustain performance and deliver measurable benefits in every condition that vessels encounter?

 

Some second-generation air lubrication technologies tackle these questions and challenges but from a fundamentally different approach. Newer systems can eliminate compressors entirely. For example, our passive air lubrication system (PALS) generates a fine air-water mixture passively through clever utilisation of vessel motion and hydrodynamic flow. In doing so, we remove one of the main power consumption vectors for the technology, increasing the net savings potential.

 

More broadly, the physics behind this results in air lubrication technology that is applicable to a fundamentally wider section of the global fleet, including finer form vessels, vessels operating in challenging weather conditions and at slower speeds where first-generation systems cannot justify their cost and are operationally compromised.

 

After twenty years of development, the question is no longer whether air lubrication works in theory, but how it proves its value in practice. For air lubrication to fulfil its potential, performance claims must be validated independently and across the full operating envelope. Shipowners are right to expect this level of scrutiny. They should ask what facilities conducted the testing, how results were measured, who validated them, and whether the data represents the complete range of conditions rather than selected highlights.

U.S. Military Kills Six More Drug Smuggling Suspects in Boat Strikes

The U.S. military has carried out two more strikes on suspected drug boats in the Eastern Pacific, according to the Pentagon.

 

In a statement, the department said that two boats were eliminated, each carrying three male suspects. All were killed in airstrikes in international waters, at no risk to U.S. servicemembers.

 

The military has now conducted a total of 19 strikes on suspected drug boats, bringing the total number of deceased suspects to 76 people. Two survivors were rescued after a strike in mid-October and returned to Colombia and Ecuador, their respective nations.

 

The Trump administration describes the targets as "narco-terrorists" or "cartel terrorists," and claims that the boats are "known to our intelligence" to be involved in narcotics smuggling. Anecdotally, reporters who have interviewed relatives and acquaintances of the deceased boat operators have found that most are low-income individuals with limited economic options. Among the dead are commercial drivers, fishermen, laborers, petty criminals, and at least one local crime boss, according to the AP.

 

The Pentagon has not disclosed the identities of those eliminated in the strikes, if any are known. The majority of the deceased remain unidentified, according to MSNBC, consistent with the secretive nature of smuggling enterprises and the remoteness of the waters where they were killed.

 

The legality of the strike program has been questioned by political critics, legal experts and even the United Nations' top human rights official. Even if these matters are set aside, there is the more practical matter of efficacy: some smuggling experts question whether the flow of drugs can be stopped with airstrikes on low-level "mules." Even if the attacks make the established boat routes too risky, the loosely-organized South American crime networks have a long history of developing alternatives, like complex container freight strategies and foot traffic.

 

"I don’t think it’s going to cause the [Jalisco New Generation Cartel] or Sinaloa cartel to say, ‘Wait, this is too dangerous,'" one congressional official told MSNBC. "These guys feed their rivals to tigers. They are not easily intimidated."

American sanctions on Russian oil giant Lukoil have forced the company to declare force majeure for its Iraqi operations, taking nearly 10 percent of the nation's entire production offline through the closure of the giant West Qurna-2 oilfield, according to local and international media sources. The move follows the Iraqi government's decision to cancel payments and export loadings for Lukoil over sanctions concerns.

 

West Qurna-2 is a supergiant 12.9 billion barrel reservoir near the port of Basra, Iraq. It was developed by Lukoil and Statoil (now Equinor) in the 2010s, and currently produces about 480,000 bpd of crude. It is part of the braoder West Qurna Field, one of the largest oilfields in the world (by total recoverable barrels).

 

Lukoil owns 75 percent of West Qurna-2, and it is the firm's most valuable foreign asset. It had planned to invest billions of dollars to increase the field's output in the years ahead, but given Iraq's strict application of U.S. sanctions on the Russian firm, those plans appear off the table unless there is a change in regulatory circumstances. Iraq has cut off cash payments and in-kind oil allocations to Lukoil, and has reportedly canceled three of the firm's export loadings for the month of November. Lukoil has also reportedly had to lay off its international staff at the West Qurna-2 field, though it has been able to retain its Russian and Iraqi workforce.

 

If the sanctions situation does not change, local officials told Reuters that Lukoil could exit the field entirely within six months. If the company seeks a buyer for its Iraqi holdings, any would-be purchaser could encounter U.S. compliance difficulties: Russian-linked commodity trader Gunvor was in talks to buy all of Lukoil's international holdings, including West Qurna-2, but backed out after threats of sanctions from the U.S. Treasury Department.

 

If Lukoil exits the West Qurna-2 field without selling its rights to a successor, it could clear the way for a Western operator to step in, according to Oilprice.com. American, British and French oil majors might all take an interest in West Qurna-2's abundant reserves.

 

In the meantime, the force majeure declaration will lower Iraq's oil production by about 480,000 barrels per day, about 0.5 percent of the global oil market. Brent futures were largely unaffected, closing at $64 per barrel.

Ukraine Hits Port of Tuapse for a Third Time in Long-Range Strike

Ukrainian forces have conducted another long range drone strike on the port of Tuapse, Russia, the third such attack in as many months. One pier was hit and it is possible that a small product tanker was damaged, according to open source intelligence analysts, though official Russian sources deny that any infrastructure damage occurred.

 

The port of Tuapse is home to a Rosneft-operated oil terminal, which serves a nearby refinery. It can handle Aframax tankers up to about 110,000 dwt, and it normally exports about 17 million tonnes of crude and refined product per year. It is the second-largest Russian oil port on the Black Sea, after Novorossiysk.

 

Overnight Sunday, a flotilla of naval drones made a long-range attack run on Tuapse's oil terminal, according to Ukrainian media and military analysts. After reportedly departing the Odesa region and crossing the full width of the Black Sea, the drone force attempted to enter Tuapse. At least two explosions were recorded within the port's harbor in the early hours of Monday morning.

 

Authorities in Tuapse reported the destruction of four drone boats at sea. Both naval and airborne drones were reported, and anecdotal reports indicate that heavy Flamingo or Neptune cruise missiles may have been deployed as well. Bystander videos from Tuapse show a large crater in the middle of a nearby public beach, and a flattened storage shed - signs of a heavy hit located well inland from where a seaborne drone could strike.

 

According to Reuters, Russian rail operators have suspended train service to the port of Tuapse because there is not enough capacity to handle the volume. The terminal is reportedly shut down pending repairs, and satellite imaging shows that its oil terminal berths are empty.

 

Tuapse is far from the only target: Ukraine has hit oil and gas infrastructure across Russia since this summer, and has taken an estimated 20 percent of all Russian refining capacity offline with long-distance drone strikes.

Dems Brace for Schiff Indictment

 

The Democrats are preparing for the possibility of an Adam Schiff indictment, as investigations continue over allegations of mortgage fraud and leaking sensitive intelligence to damage President Trump.

 

Politico reports: “If Schiff ends up indicted on allegations of mortgage fraud—a charge he has vehemently denied—or for any other claim, it would mark an unprecedented escalation for Trump to target an outspoken political adversary who is also a federal elected official.

 

“As Schiff solicits dollars for a legal defense fund and builds an expansive political operation prepared to do damage control around any potential charges, Schiff’s Democratic colleagues in Congress are increasingly anxious about their own vulnerability. They are also frustrated with the unwillingness of Republican senators to speak out on Schiff’s behalf.”

 

A potential prosecution was announced months ago, with regard to the financing of Schiff’s Maryland residence.

 

More recently, President Trump called on Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute Schiff, James Comey and Letitia James.

 

Comey and James have now been indicted, but Schiff has yet to be charged.

“[Trump has] been more than willing to go after his political opponents—to go after universities, to go after law firms, to go after media organizations,” Schiff said last week, as the threat of prosecution continues to hang over his head.

 

“It’s all part of the same effort to silence and intimidate critics and, I think, needs to be recognized for what it is.”

 

FBI Director Kash Patel has also accused Schiff of leaking potentially damaging information about President Trump, while serving as chair of the House Intelligence Committee.

Politico continues: “Democrats are on edge, worrying a Schiff indictment would open the floodgates to more targeting of Democratic elected officials. Many Republicans are either visibly uncomfortable with the dynamics or unwilling to weigh in on a matter that could put them crosswise with the president.

 

“Because Trump took the step of publicly calling on his attorney general to go after Schiff—a break with historical precedent in which the White House has kept its distance from the Justice Department—an indictment would play out differently on Capitol Hill than past episodes where lawmakers have found themselves under legal scrutiny.

 

“The most recent senatorial indictment—of Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), accused of bribery in 2023—presented an awkward situation for many of his longtime colleagues in both parties. Most Democrats repeated the “innocent until proven guilty” mantra while praising him for stepping aside from his leadership post atop the Senate Foreign Relations Committee as the case worked through the system.

 

“Menendez was convicted at trial and is now serving an 11-year prison sentence. In recent months, he has sought to endear himself to Trump, who has pardon-granting power.

 

“But Schiff’s indictment would challenge those old norms in almost every way. Democrats are expected to rush to his defense and blast the Trump administration for carrying out a personal vendetta. Many Republicans will have to decide how strongly to push back, if they do at all.”

 

Schiff is currently hard at working raising money for a legal defense fund, and already has $8.6 million in campaign funding, including $2 million raised in the most recent fundraising quarter.

Have you checked every agency. If it mental or emotional illness there are some agencies that may help. Maybe a volunteer job. You will never be around dangerous things.

Change your inner dialogue. Thoughts turn to things. U can literally write down what u want someone to say and they’ll say it and think it was their idea. I’m not joking, BUT u have to believe it or repeat it over n over until you’re familiar with the new thought. So.. if on your way to work, your inner dialogue is about how you’re dreading work bc boss such an asshole.. then u keep creating that he’s an asshole in your experience. So try to imagine him being nicer to you and telling you that you’re doing a great job or whatever.. do it every day on your way to work without NEEDING him to change. What happens is that you’ll start feeling better about it all when u start to think of things in a better feeling, more positive manner.. that’s all that matters.. is that the quality of your thoughts feel good when u think them. Have fun and day dream about him treating you with respect, etc.. do it every time u are on your way to work. (U can even do it as u drift off to sleep). Once you’re familiar with the new story you’re imagining and you feel better thinking that way than facing the reality where he’s a dick, he will confirm and start treating u how u want. It is God’s law. BUT u can’t imagine him being nice for a few minutes and then go back to facing reality. U have to do it because the thoughts feel better. Try it just as an experiment and by LAW, once your subconscious mind is used to the new script, it will inspire his subconscious mind to give him new impulses and therefore act differently OR he will get fired somehow and be out of your experience. OR think about exactly the kind of job you want with what pay and do the same as mentioned above and the perfect job will appear. The prize is joy- joy Ian inside job.. once you care about how you feel and once feeling happy is what matters most and you begin to deliberately choose the best feeling thoughts from where u are.. BY LAW your 3D reality must conform. Up until now you have been feeling a certain way and therefore thinking certain thoughts that make u feel a certain way and it is showing up in your reality as u hate your job n he is rude n disrespectful.

Trump Asks Supreme Court to Take Up E. Jean Carroll’s Defamation Case

Trump’s attorneys told the Supreme Court that the case against him contained multiple flaws related to evidence.

 

President Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to wade into his defamation dispute with author E. Jean Carroll, alleging that an appeals court failed to recognize multiple evidentiary flaws that led to an adverse verdict for him.

 

Trump’s legal team told The Epoch Times it filed a petition for writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court on Nov. 10. The justices have not yet decided whether to take up the case.

 

“The American People stand with President Trump as they demand an immediate end to all of the Witch Hunts, including the Democrat-funded travesty of the Carroll Hoaxes,” a spokesman for Trump’s legal team told The Epoch Times.

 

“President Trump will keep winning against Liberal Lawfare, as he continues to focus on his mission to Make America Great Again.”

 

The petition, which has been reviewed by The Epoch Times, is the latest development in a years-long saga surrounding Carroll’s allegation that Trump sexually assaulted her in a department store at some point during the 1990s. Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations.

 

Carroll sued him for defamation and won more than $80 million in two trials. Trump’s petition to the Supreme Court concerns a December 2024 decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that upheld the verdict in one of the trials. That trial resulted in a $5 million award for Carroll.

 

The purported evidentiary errors in that trial prevented Trump from fully contesting Carroll’s case in another trial that resulted in an award of $83 million, Trump’s attorneys argued. The Second Circuit later upheld that larger verdict in a decision from September.

 

According to Trump’s attorneys, the Second Circuit’s 2024 opinion misinterpreted the Federal Rules of Evidence and wrongly allowed Carroll to rely on propensity evidence, or evidence that purported to show Trump had a propensity to act in a particular way.

 

One of those pieces of evidence was the Access Hollywood Tape released during the 2016 presidential election. Trump’s attorneys also took issue with allowing testimony from two women who accused Trump of unwanted touching and kissing.

 

In its 2024 decision, the Second Circuit rejected Trump’s criticisms of the lower court’s handling of the evidence.

“On review for abuse of discretion, we conclude that Mr. Trump has not demonstrated that the district court erred in any of the challenged rulings,” an unsigned opinion read.

 

“Further, he has not carried his burden to show that any claimed error or combination of claimed errors affected his substantial rights as required to warrant a new trial.”

An attorney who represented Carroll in the Second Circuit did not respond to The Epoch Times’ request for comment before publishing time. In a briefing to the court, Carroll’s attorneys called Trump’s evidentiary arguments “empty.”

 

“There was no error here, let alone a violation of Trump’s substantial rights.”

Trump attempted to have the whole circuit rehear the case, but was denied in June, with two judges dissenting from that decision

During halftime of Sunday's Washington Commanders game against the Detroit Lions, recruits from all military branches streamed onto the field for a Veterans Day enlistment and, disgustingly, a majority of the Northwest Stadium crowd began to boo as the ceremony began.

Crowd Boos Trump Multiple Times

 

And, I get it, the people in the stands were almost certainly booing President Donald Trump. They were booing the fact he was there swearing in the new troops over a microphone from one of the luxury boxes at the former FedEx Field.

 

They were booing and cursing and jeering the guy who lives in the White House and is used to people making their Trump Derangement Syndrome known by way of riots, protests and, in this case, with full-throated displeasure.

 

But maybe the young Americans pledging to serve this country for the next coming years may not have known all of this.

 

Perhaps all they heard and saw was the reaction and not what caused it.

 

Crowd Boos During Enlistment Ceremony

 

And perhaps they took it as a sign of the crowd's disapproval for them.

 

Of them!

 

The mere possibility that would be the understanding of the message the crowd sent is repellent to any patriotic American. Because those kids are the best of the best.

 

They are the best of us.

 

They certainly are better than the unthinking fools booing during this ceremony.

 

And they deserve respect even if the crowd thought the Commander-in-Chief did not .

 

Not All Reaction Was Negative

 

And this is where I tell you not everyone booed.

 

There were cheers peppering the President. And the ceremony.

 

When Trump headed out, as the homestanding Commanders were getting stomped 44-22, plenty of fans lined up to wish him well.

 

That's the full story of Trump's visit to this game, which represented the first time a sitting president attended an NFL game since 1978.

 

The new enlistees, however, never saw that.The fact that those young men and women — about to risk their lives and honor for this country — heard even a single boo they might have mistaken as meant for them is shameful.

 

The Commanders, for their part, never asked the crowd to hold its reaction until after the ceremony. The fans had already reacted earlier, when Trump was shown on the big screens in the second quarter.

 

There were cheers and boos then — but mostly boos.

Commanders Crowd Reacts To Trump

 

The team should have known better before the military ceremony ever started.

 

It’s their fans, after all. And they come mostly from Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia that are either hopelessly blue or trending that way.

 

So the Commanders — whose owner, Josh Harris, hosted Trump during his visit — probably should’ve seen this coming. They didn't.

 

It happened.

 

Years from now, when the men and women sworn in on Sunday look back on that moment, maybe they’ll laugh because they know better. Or maybe it’ll sting because they don’t.

 

The idiots whose team got clobbered by the Lions, who’d been pounding beers since Sunday morning and weren’t exactly thinking straight, booed them. Or so those recruits might think.

During the final day of the Somos conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gov. Kathy Hochul threw cold water on one of Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s key policy proposals: free MTA bus rides.

 

“I cannot set forth a plan right now that takes money out of a system that relies on the fares of the buses and the subways. But can we find a path to make it more affordable for people who need help? Of course, we can,” Hochul said during a press conference with reporters, referencing her prior deals with the MTA to provide billions for the authority’s next capital plan, as well as other investments like cameras on subway cars.

“I’ve said throughout the entirety of this campaign that this is a campaign to bring the struggles of working New Yorkers back to the focus of our politics, and to ensure that City Hall is seen as a place that not only recognizes those struggles but also delivers on the needs of those working people,” he said at a separate availability with reporters.

 

One key potential ally, state Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, the top Democrat in the chamber, who expressed a willingness to back Mamdani’s proposals, like a tax hike.

 

“It’s November. It’s still kinda early. We gotta see how things fit inside of the state budget. But I think there’s a willingness. I don’t want to speak for the other two partners in this. But we want Zohran, the mayor-elect, to be successful,” he told reporters Friday evening.

 

Meanwhile, a leadership showdown in the City Council is underway, as current Council Speaker Adrienne Adams is term-limited and several Democratic members are vying to take her place.

 

“There are so many areas of commonality around universal child care, about building more affordable housing. I’m really excited about the council having a proactive vision,” Manhattan Councilwoman Julie Menin said.

 

“I’m excited about the big, broad coalition I’ve continued to build throughout my career, and in this race it’s no different,” Crystal Hudson, a Brooklyn councilwoman, told NY1.

 

“I’ve met with almost every single council member, many of them in their home districts to meet them where they’re at, and tell them that I’m the one that’s actually gonna bring change,” Christoper Marte, a Manhattan councilman, said.

 

“I think it’s really important as an outer borough member, that is starting from a really great foundation of what working families are looking for, to be leading the rest of the city in that way,” said Amanda Farias, a councilwoman representing the Bronx.

It’s that time of year again—temperatures are dropping, leaves are changing color, and Microsoft is gradually rolling out another major yearly update to Windows 11.

 

The Windows 11 25H2 update is relatively minor compared to last year’s 24H2 update (the “25” here is a reference to the year the update was released, while the “H2” denotes that it was released in the second half of the year, a vestigial suffix from when Microsoft would release two major Windows updates per year). The 24H2 update came with some major under-the-hood overhauls of core Windows components and significant performance improvements for the Arm version; 25H2 is largely 24H2, but with a rolled-over version number to keep it in line with Microsoft’s timeline for security updates and tech support.

 

But Microsoft’s continuous update cadence for Windows 11 means that even the 24H2 version as it currently exists isn’t the same one Microsoft released a year ago.

 

To keep things current, we’ve combed through our Windows cleanup guide, updating it for the current build of Windows 11 25H2 (26200.7019) to help anyone who needs a fresh Windows install or who is finally updating from Windows 10 now that Microsoft is winding down support for it. We’ll outline dozens of individual steps you can take to clean up a “clean install” of Windows 11, which has taken an especially user-hostile attitude toward advertising and forcing the use of other Microsoft products.

 

As before, this is not a guide about creating an extremely stripped-down, telemetry-free version of Windows; we stick to the things that Microsoft officially supports turning off and removing. There are plenty of experimental hacks and scripts that take it a few steps farther, and/or automate some of the steps we outline here—NTDev’s Tiny11 project is one—but removing built-in Windows components can cause unexpected compatibility and security problems, and Tiny11 has historically had issues with basic table-stakes stuff like “installing security updates.”

 

These guides capture moments in time, and regular monthly Windows patches, app updates downloaded through the Microsoft Store, and other factors all can and will cause small variations from our directions. The most contentious part of Windows 11’s setup process relative to earlier Windows versions is that it mandates a Microsoft account sign-in, with none of the readily apparent “limited account” fallbacks that existed in Windows 10. As of Windows 11 22H2, that’s true of both the Home and Pro editions.

 

There are two reasons I can think of not to sign in with a Microsoft account. The first is that you want nothing to do with a Microsoft account, thank you very much. Signing in makes Windows bombard you with more Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and Game Pass subscription upsells since all you need to do is add them to an account that already exists, and Windows setup will offer subscriptions to each if you sign in first.

 

The second—which describes my situation—is that you do use a Microsoft account because it offers some handy benefits like automated encryption of your local drive (having those encryption keys tied to my account has saved me a couple of times) or syncing of browser info and some preferences. But you don’t want to sign in at setup, either because you don’t want to be bothered with the extra upsells or you prefer your user folder to be located at “C:UsersAndrew” rather than “C:Users.”

 

Regardless of your reasoning, if you don’t want to bother with sign-in at setup, you have a few different options:

 

Use the command line

 

During Windows 11 Setup, after selecting a language and keyboard layout but before connecting to a network, hit Shift+F10 to open the command prompt (depending on your keyboard, you may also need to hit the Fn key before pressing F10). Type OOBEBYPASSNRO, hit Enter, and wait for the PC to reboot.

 

When it comes back, click “I don’t have Internet” on the network setup screen, and you’ll have recovered the option to use “limited setup” (aka a local account) again, like older versions of Windows 10 and 11 offered.

 

This option has been removed from some Windows 11 testing builds, but it still works as of this writing in 25H2. We may see this option removed in a future update to Windows.

Memphis Safe Task Force Rescues 101 Missing Children in 40 Days

The Memphis Safe Task Force, working under the coordination of the U.S. Marshals Service, has rescued 101 missing children and cleared more than 1,000 outstanding warrants in just 40 days.

 

According to News Nation, U.S. Marshals have arrested 2,342 individuals across Memphis on charges ranging from homicide to narcotics trafficking, firearms violations, and sex offenses. Of the cleared warrants, 203 involved firearms and 264 were narcotics-related.

 

Among the 101 children rescued was a 15-year-old boy missing since September 2, last seen walking along Highway 64 in Tennessee.

 

Thanks to the task force’s collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the teen was discovered living in a van with his father in Hawaii, thousands of miles from home, according to WREG.

The father, who has a long criminal record in Hawaii and California, including domestic violence, abuse, drugs, battery, and burglary, had been hiding out at a construction site where he worked.

 

When confronted, he fled the scene, leaving the teenager behind. The child was found safe by the Honolulu Police Department on November 6, 2025, and is now awaiting return to Tennessee.

 

“Over 1,000 warrants cleared in 41 days is quick work and we aren’t slowing down,” said U.S. Marshals Service Operation Commander Chad Hunt. “We will continue to investigate each warrant we adopt and arrest the assailants to make Memphis and Shelby County a safer place to live.”

In 2012 Hegseth ran to represent Minnesota in the U.S. Senate as a Republican, but he dropped out before the party’s primary. Two years later he became a contributor to Fox News, and in 2017 he became cohost of Fox & Friends Weekend. In that post Hegseth frequently spoke of his support for President Trump. After Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, Hegseth promoted Trump’s unfounded claim of widespread voter fraud. In 2021 Hegseth was removed from the National Guard group that was to provide security for Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration.

The reported issue was his Jerusalem cross tattoo, which he said was simply a Christian symbol, but officials noted that it is also used by Christian nationalists.

His other tattoos include the words Deus Vult (Latin: “God wills it”), which was a battle cry during the Crusades and later appropriated by white supremacists. Hegseth left the National Guard later in 2021.

 

In 2004 Hegseth married Meredith Schwarz; the couple divorced in 2009.

The following year he wed Samantha Deering, and they later had three children.

In 2017 Pete Hegseth had a child with Jennifer Rauchet, who also worked at Fox News.

Later that year he and Deering divorced, and Hegseth married Rauchet in 2019. At the time he also became stepfather to Rauchet’s three children from a previous marriage.

For a time he served as publisher, and he was responsible for articles that, as he wrote, “strive to defend the pillars of Western civilization against the distractions of diversity.” Among these pieces, which stirred controversy at Princeton, was an editorial he cowrote that declared that “the homosexual lifestyle is abnormal and immoral.”
