Modi vows no mercy: India explosion aftermath Live Updates

 

The Indian PM said he was in touch with the agencies investigating the blast

 

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the people responsible for the blast that killed 12 people in Delhi on Monday would be “brought to justice.”

 

Modi, who is on an official visit to Bhutan, said he was in touch with the agencies investigating the incident. “Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy,” he said. “Those responsible will not be spared. All those responsible will be brought to justice.”

 

Indian police are investigating the deadly car blast in Delhi under a law aimed at combating terrorism, according to local media. Dozens were injured by the blast in a densely populated area of Delhi.

 

Indian TV channels said a case was registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), a law enacted in 1967 to combat acts of alleged terrorism. Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday that “all angles” are being investigated and security agencies would come to a conclusion soon.

 

Although the cause and perpetrators of the blast are still unknown, Indian media reports indicate that it occurred on the same day police discovered 2,900kg of explosives in Faridabad, 50km (31 miles) from the Indian capital. The seizure was part of a counterterrorism operation conducted by police from Jammu, Kashmir, and Haryana.

 

Two individuals, a university professor, and a doctor were reportedly arrested in connection with the bust. Former Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police SP Vaid said the suspects are likely linked to Pakistan’s “deep state” and that the seized explosives were intended for use in a terrorist attack. The UAPA was amended in August 2019 by the Indian government, which added the provision of designating an individual as terrorist. Prior to this amendment, only organizations could be designated as terrorists.

Arab state seeding clouds to get water

 

The UAE is spending millions of dollars annually to tackle water scarcity by triggering rainfall

 

The United Arab Emirates has turned to cloud seeding in an effort to address its chronic water shortage, a local research director has said.

 

Cloud seeding is a costly operation, with the UAE spending millions annually to boost its freshwater supplies. Pilots fly into promising clouds and release salt particles to stimulate rainfall in a country that receives less than 100mm of rain per year.

 

The technique is part of the country’s “adaptation strategy to face climate change,” Alya Al Mazrouei, director of the UAE Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science (UAEREP), told the Financial Times on Monday.

 

However, the method has sparked controversy as critics warn it could exacerbate extreme weather events, such as flooding and droughts, by altering natural weather patterns. They also express concerns about the environmental impact of the chemicals used and the potential unintended consequences of artificially modifying the weather.

 

Orestes Morfin, a senior expert at the Climate and Water Initiative in Arizona, told the outlet that “cloud seeding is seen as an additional potential tool for boosting water supply.”

 

Scientists at the UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology estimated in a 2023 study that cloud seeding could add up to 419 million cubic meters of harvestable water per year.

 

Water scarcity is a longstanding challenge for the UAE, which relies heavily on desalination for drinking water. Since the early 2000s, UAE authorities have been working to increase rainfall through artificial means. Currently, the UAE’s rain enhancement program operates with ten pilots and four aircraft, ready to deploy around the clock.

 

“Whenever we have the opportunity to do it… we don’t usually miss any opportunity,” Al Mazrouei said.

 

The operation is expensive, costing $8,000 per flight hour and averaging 1,100 flight hours per year, totaling nearly $9 million. However, Al Mazrouei argues that “the cost per cubic meter of additional water is lower than for desalination.” The UAE has invested $22.5 million in research grants to improve the technology.

Spy Agencies Cozied Up To Wuhan Virologist Before Lying About Pandemic

 

A close collaborator of virologists who studied coronaviruses in Wuhan frequently advised America’s top spy agency in the lead-up to the pandemic, and that same agency suppressed intelligence on the parallels between COVID-19 and their research.

 

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s (ODNI) hub for foreign biological threats dismissed the intelligence pointing to a lab accident in Wuhan as “misinformation” in January 2021, two former government sources who requested anonymity to discuss sensitive internal meetings told the Daily Caller News Foundation. New documents show that intelligence risked implicating ODNI’s own bioengineering advisor — University of North Carolina professor Ralph Baric.

 

Baric, who engineered novel coronaviruses with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), advised ODNI four times a year on biological threats, according to documents released Oct. 30 by Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

 

Baric did not respond to the DCNF’s requests for comment.

 

The professor’s ties to American intelligence may run even deeper, the documents reveal, as ODNI facilitated a meeting between the CIA and Baric about a project on coronaviruses in September 2015.

 

The email exchange with the subject line “Request for Your Expertise” shows an unnamed government official with a CIA-affiliated email address pitching a “possible project” to Baric relating to “[c]oronavirus evolution and possible natural human adaptation.”

 

The new documents shed a bit of light on a question members of Congress have posed for years: Whether our own intelligence agencies knew more about the likelihood of a lab origin of COVID than they told the public.

 

“Director Ratcliffe has been on the forefront of this issue since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and has been committed to transparency and accountability on this issue,” a CIA spokesperson said in a statement. “In January – as one of the Director’s first actions at Langley – CIA made public its assessment that a research-related origin of the COVID-19 pandemic is more likely than a natural origin. CIA will continue to evaluate any available credible new intelligence reporting as appropriate.”

 

Paul is seeking more documents from ODNI on potential ties between U.S. intelligence and the research in Wuhan as part of an ongoing investigation by the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and has promised public hearings in the coming months.

 

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard disbanded the ODNI biological threats office earlier this year following questions from the DCNF about its suppression of COVID origins intelligence in August. Gabbard and a dedicated working group have also been quietly investigating the origins of COVID.

Settlers launch major arson attack against Palestinians in central West Bank — reports

 

The IDF says it detained several Israeli settlers who participated in an attack on Palestinians in two West Bank villages close to Nablus a short while ago.

 

Troops were dispatched to Bayt Lid and Dayr Sharaf following reports of dozens of masked Israelis attacking Palestinians in the villages and setting fire to property, the army says.

 

Israeli authorities say that four Palestinians were injured in the attack and that 10 vehicles, a barn, a plastics factory and a large warehouse were set on fire in the attack.

 

“Security forces worked to disperse the [suspects] using riot dispersal means, and detained and arrested several Israeli civilians,” the IDF says, adding that the suspects were handed over to the police.

 

The IDF says that a short while later, dozens of Israelis gathered at the nearby Baron Industrial Zone, where many of the masked Israeli assailants had fled to.

 

“IDF troops rushed to the scene, where Israeli civilians attacked the troops and vandalized a military vehicle,” the military says.

 

The army says that it “strongly condemns all forms of violence that divert the attention of commanders and soldiers from their missions of defense and counterterrorism.”

 

Palestinian media reports that Israeli troops prevented Palestinians from being able to reach some of the fires sparked by settlers in the attack.

 

Arrests in such incidents of settler violence are rare and convictions are even less common.

 

The Israel Police later says that four Israeli suspects have been taken for questioning. The investigation into the settler attack is being led by the police’s West Bank district, alongside the Shin Bet security agency.

Officials say evidence sent to Congress raises fresh concerns that government officials kept evidence from prosecutors.

 

Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have produced to Congress a new cache of documents showing how Bill and Hillary Clinton's foundation collected donations from foreign and domestic interests seeking influence – raising fresh concerns that such evidence was kept from federal prosecutors who tried to investigate pay-to-play allegations against the former first family a decade ago.

 

Officials told Just the News that the documents were transmitted to the Senate Judiciary Committee in recent days and detail numerous instances of foreigners and even a U.S. defense contractor seeking to curry favor with the Clintons through donations to their family charity, including when Hillary Clinton served as secretary of State. Bill Clinton was a U.S. president from 1993 to 2001.

 

The officials said some of the evidence was flagged by whistleblowers who claimed such evidence was kept from a corruption investigation that was being conducted in 2015 by the Little Rock, Ark., U.S. attorney’s office before it was shut down by the Obama administration's Justice Department.

 

The documents will make clear that there was an effort “to obstruct legitimate inquiries into the Foundation by blocking real investigation by line-level FBI agents and DOJ field prosecutors and keeping them from following the money,” said one official directly familiar with the documents.

 

Officials said they have been gathering the evidence for weeks and have dubbed the documents the "Clinton corruption files."

 

Bondi and Patel hope to make the documents public by as soon as the end of this week once they work through some issues protecting whistleblower identities, officials said.

 

Officials said they also expect new evidence to be released this week in the Arctic Frost investigation conducted by Jack Smith, including new contacts between the special prosecutor who pursued Donald Trump and top officials like former FBI Director Christopher Wray and new details on how that probe sought to pierce the privacy of members of Congress by gathering their phone records.

 

Just the News reported earlier this year that the FBI had three separate investigations into possible pay-to-play allegations against the Clinton foundation, but all were closed after Obama Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates ordered agents to “shut it down“

 

Officials said the new documents will detail how lower-level FBI agents and prosecutors kept information from reaching decision makers in the various probes of the Clinton Foundation.

Ukraine’s Long-Range Drones Hit Major Russian Refinery 1,400 km Deep in Orenburg Region

The Ukrainian Defense Forces on Tuesday, Nov. 11, struck the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in Russia’s Orenburg region, the General Staff of Ukraine reported.

According to a statement on Telegram, the strike was part of efforts to reduce Russia’s offensive capabilities and disrupt the supply of fuel and ammunition to the Kremlin’s troops.

 

Preliminary reports indicate that the attack triggered several explosions and a fire at the refinery, with one of its primary oil refining units reportedly hit. Damage assessments are ongoing.

Sources in Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) told Kyiv Post that long-range drones from the SBU’s Alpha Special Operations Center carried out the strike, hitting the target 1,400 km (870 miles) from Ukrainian territory.

 

“This refinery has four main oil refining units and produces around 30 types of products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, aviation kerosene, bitumen, and fuel oil. It is one of Russia’s leading refineries,” the source said.

According to the SBU, at least four explosions were recorded at the site, followed by thick plumes of smoke.

 

This marks the second Ukrainian strike on the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery – the first occurred on Oct. 3.

“The SBU continues to deliver precision strikes on Russia’s oil and gas infrastructure, which funds the war against Ukraine. These attacks undermine the aggressor’s economic potential, cut oil revenues, and disrupt logistics,” the SBU source added.

 

Russian media earlier reported that unidentified drones had attacked the Orsknefteorgsintez refinery, one of the largest in Russia and part of JSC Forteinvest, a key asset of the Safmar industrial group.

The refinery’s design capacity is 6.6 million tons of oil per year, and its infrastructure includes four primary processing units, two catalytic reformers, kerosene and diesel hydrotreating units, and facilities for oil and bitumen production.

 

The attack follows Ukraine’s confirmed strikes on the Saratov refinery and the Morskoy oil terminal in Feodosia, occupied Crimea.

A series of explosions hit the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels early on Tuesday, Nov. 11, with social media reporting a large fire at the Saratov oil refinery.

 

According to regional authorities, air defenses were active as residents heard several loud blasts after 1 a.m. Saratov Governor Roman Busargin confirmed drone attacks and said one person was lightly injured by shattered glass.

Ukraine’s General Staff and the Forces of Unmanned Systems later confirmed their involvement, saying the refinery – which supports Russian military needs – was struck by Ukrainian drones. The refinery processes about 4.8 million tons of oil annually.

Ukrainian drones also reportedly targeted the Morskoy Neftyanoy Terminal in occupied Feodosia, a key logistics hub for supplying Russian forces in southern Ukraine.

Venezuela on Sunday condemned what it said was a military provocation by neighboring Trinidad and Tobago in coordination with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, aimed at spurring a full military confrontation with the Latin American nation.

Joint military exercises between the U.S. and Trinidad and Tobago are currently underway in the Caribbean and Venezuela said it had captured a group of mercenaries "with direct information of the American intelligence agency" and whose goal it was to carry out a false-flag attack in the region.

"A false flag attack is underway in waters bordering Trinidad and Tobago or from Trinidadian or Venezuelan territory to generate a full military confrontation with our country," Venezuela's government said in the statement.

The statement, issued by Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, did not offer further details or evidence of the false flag attack accusations.

Earlier this month, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed reports that he authorized the CIA to carry out covert operations in Venezuela.

Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro has levied accusations of false flag attacks before, including a plan to plant explosives in the U.S. embassy in Caracas in early October.

The U.S. State Department and the CIA were not immediately available for comment.

Houthis Declare Suspension of Red Sea Attacks, But Maritime Threat Remains

The Houthi militant group in Yemen has announced a suspension of maritime operations against Israel and formally ended its naval blockade of Israeli ports, marking a significant shift in Red Sea shipping security.

 

The announcement came through a formal letter sent to Hamas’s military wing, Kata’ib al Qassam, by newly appointed Houthi Chief of Staff Yousef Hassan Al Madani, who assumed the role following the death of his predecessor, Mohammed Al Ghamari, in Israeli airstrikes. The move indicates that attacks against vessels previously targeted for calling at Israeli ports have now ceased.

 

However, maritime security experts are urging caution despite the declared pause. Martin Kelly, Head of Advisory at EOS Risk Group, emphasized that the risk reduction should not be mistaken for complete elimination.

Overnight on 11 November 2025, a Russian drone strike targeting Ukraine’s Danube ports led to debris falling near the Romanian village of Grindu, while Romanian fighter jets were unable to launch due to bad weather, according to Romania’s Ministry of National Defense. Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu confirmed the drone debris landed in an inhabited area on Romanian soil. The drone crash occurred amid the Russian strikes on Ukrainian Danube port areas.

 

Russian drones have increasingly violated Romanian airspace in recent months, as Moscow continues targeting Ukrainian Danube River ports situated just across the border.

Officials have reported earlier that debris recovered from past incidents matches drone types commonly used by the Russian military.

Romanian radars detect drones as air defenses activate

Romania’s Defense Ministry reported that in the early hours of 11 November, radar systems tracked groups of drones in the area adjacent to Romanian airspace.

At 12:07 a.m., authorities issued a national emergency alert system's warning to residents in the northern part of Tulcea County. A large number of explosions were recorded on the Ukrainian side of the Danube, near the port of Izmail.

 

Despite the alert and detection, Romania’s fighter jets remained grounded. The ministry explained that weather conditions in the southeast of the country made takeoff impossible. Air defense systems were nonetheless activated preventively.

At 1:09 a.m., authorities received a report about a drone impact near Grindu, roughly five kilometers south of the Romanian-Ukrainian border. Romanian military teams were dispatched to the site and reported finding possible drone fragments.

The zone was secured and investigation began at daybreak.

 

Drone debris falls in inhabited area — Romania vows response

Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu confirmed that the drone fragments landed “in an inhabited area on Romanian territory.” She called the incident “another reckless attack on Ukraine with consequences on Romanian soil.”

"These actions are part of a series of similar incidents and represent a clear pattern in Russia’s war of aggression," she wrote on X.

 

According to her, these attacks are part of “systematic Russian provocations against the EU and NATO.”

“We will not hesitate to increase the price Russia pays for such reckless and illegal actions,” Toiu wrote, noting that Romania, the EU, and the US are preparing further sanctions on Russia to raise the cost of aggression.

 

Russia targeted Odesa Oblast power grid last night

Earlier today, Odesa Oblast authorities reported a Russian drone assault on the southern part of the oblast, targeting energy and railway infrastructure.

Ukraine’s Air Force later confirmed that Russian forces had launched a total of 119 long-range drones overnight, “the main focus of the strike was on frontline areas in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk oblasts; and Odesa Oblast.”

During the night, Ukrainian forces tracked drone groups moving toward the Izmail district, and then toward Reni in this district, located directly across the Danube River from Romania’s Tulcea County.

Looks like the aliens might be back to mess with Belgium again. And this time, apparently, they’re Russian. “E.T. call Motherland.”

Perhaps this is the extraterrestrials’ version of Netflix. They sit around on the couch going, “When does the next season of that show with those bumbling goofs in Europe trying to chase us come out?”

Maybe 35 years on Earth is like a month in alien time, because the sequel to the Belgian UFO Wave of 1989/1990 appears to have just kicked off.

 

But this time, it’s not a comedy or a mystery, but a drama. Well, for those in charge it is. For some of us, it’s just the usual Eurobozo burlesque with a different backdrop.

EU leaders have had it in their heads for a while now that if a mysterious object is hovering over Europe, it’s probably Putin. Or someone from his advance team. They’re expecting him in Western Europe by 2030, don’t you know.

Mark your calendars. And this is why they need Europeans to loosen their fists and release whatever remaining cash they’ve neglected to remove from your possession. Because they need to buy weapons to shoot him down before he lands on a Starbucks patio.

 

If Belgian officials can be believed, that landing is virtually imminent now. Because Putin has chosen their country to wage “hybrid warfare,” they say. With drones. And they’re shutting down airports because of it.

Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken says that they could be spy drones trying to peep on American nuclear weapons at Belgium’s Kleine Brogel Air Base, talking like they’ve just walked in on America showering.

That would explain why they loiter around airports too, I guess, because nothing screams “covert intelligence operation” quite like getting caught hovering over the airport and blocking European air traffic.

 

A meeting of the country’s National Security Council was urgently convened this week, according to Le Monde, and aimed to “present an outline of a plan to reassure the public, which is becoming increasingly aware of the country’s lack of preparation for this kind of threat.”

Pretty sure the Belgian public already knew that you guys were a hot mess 35 years ago. They spent months staring at UFOs in Belgian skies, and when you sent up a couple of F-16s to get a closer look and shoot them down with your ‘advanced radar’ systems, one of your jets just ended up locking on to shoot the other one.

 

Still, the Belgian government at the time didn’t go so far as to argue that this potentially disastrous act of self-owning was proof that the aliens were messing with the radar.

Maybe because they would have sounded stupid. Instead, in the absence of definitive and scientifically credible answers, they let the public enjoy the speculation.

But since everyone in the EU has to be treated like an infant these days, here come the Belgian authorities with their ‘public reassurance’ plan.

Maybe because everyone had already blown enough cash on weapons. But these days, it’s never enough.

Which would explain why the Belgian defense minister is already leveraging the drone incidents to “accelerate the creation of a ‘national air security center,’” according to Le Monde, including the “purchase of detection, jamming and drone destruction systems.”

 

This is the same well-adjusted fellow who recently sounded like he partook in a bit too much “maple syrup” at the Belgian waffle house and claimed that NATO “will flatten Moscow” if it ever attacked.

Speaking of Putin, he said: “He knows that, ‘If I use nuclear weapons, they will wipe Moscow off the face of the Earth. Then the end of the world will be near,’” according to Belgian news outlet HUMO a few days ago.

After which he may or may not have belched and zigzagged home like the street was on a slope.

 

Another reason the European authorities may not have blamed the Soviets for the UFOs back in the day is because – hear me out – they didn’t have any actual evidence that it was specifically them.

And that was a much different situation because nowadays, the EU has all the technology required to see into the cockpit of the drone and determine that it’s piloted by a tiny little Russian pilot with an affinity for the sport mode switch and careening through the clouds above Belgian airports like it’s viral dashcam video-worthy.

“Leads are converging in the direction” of Moscow, unnamed “intelligence officials” told Le Monde, which Moscow vehemently denies.

 

Look, whatever the case, whoever or whatever is screwing with Belgium needs to knock it off. Because there’s a casting problem.

Putting today’s Belgian officials at the center of this is like watching a comedy starring Joaquin Phoenix or Daniel Day-Lewis looking intensely at the camera while surrounded by banana peels.

 

In the meantime, somewhere over Belgium, the tiny Russian drone pilot salutes the aliens he met at cosmonaut school.

“Ready for another season?” he says, as the Belgians below look up and wonder if Putin’s aerial convoy has exclusively chosen them, of all creatures on Earth, to grace them with its presence.

US Gets Serious About Drone Threat After ‘Russia’s Pearl Harbor’

The United States recently conducted a counter-drone drill at a nuclear force base after Russia experienced a "Pearl Harbor" moment when its bomber fleet came under attack.

The U.S. Northern Command, which is tasked with homeland defense missions, said a counter-small unmanned aerial system (C-sUAS) team successfully engaged more than 100 targets of interest at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, between October 21 and 27.

The base is the only U.S. Air Force facility that hosts both nuclear-capable bombers and nuclear-armed intercontinental ballistic missiles, providing a strategic deterrent.

 

Why It Matters

The rapid development of drone technology has raised security concerns in recent months about aerial incursions into key military and civilian facilities in the West—including nuclear power plants, airports and a base believed to host U.S. nuclear weapons.

The Russia-Ukraine war has demonstrated the effectiveness of drone warfare. In June, Ukraine carried out a large-scale, coordinated drone assault on Russian air bases that Kyiv said struck over a third of President Vladimir Putin's nuclear-capable bombers.

The unprecedented drone attack, described by Russian military observers as "Russia's Pearl Harbor," a reference to Japan's surprise air raid on the U.S. in December 1941, has highlighted the urgency of fortifying U.S. military airfields overseas and at home.

 

What To Know

The October exercise marked the first time the 11-person team of operators from the U.S. Northern Command deployed with a C-sUAS flyaway kit, capable of detecting, tracking, identifying and mitigating drone incursions at the country's military facilities.

According to the U.S. Northern Command, the flyaway kit combines sensors and effectors, including Anvil drone interceptors that can operate autonomously to counter potential threats, to provide 360-degree coverage with the support of artificial intelligence.

The exercise evaluated the entire deployment process, from loading the equipment for transport and completing counter-drone missions at the North Dakota base to returning to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where the U.S. Northern Command is headquartered.

 

Officially released photos show the C-sUAS flyaway kit deployed at Minot Air Force Base while B-52H bombers conducted flight operations, demonstrating the team's ability to quickly support a base during a drone incursion, according to a photo caption.

The counter-drone exercise also addressed what the U.S. Northern Command described as "the complexities of federal statutes and interagency partners," ensuring the base commander was operating under the proper authorities to protect the base from drones.

 

Under the federal statute, base commanders have the authority to defend against drone incursions, but the Pentagon must coordinate with the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration to obtain the authority to engage the threat.

General Gregory Guillot, the commander of the U.S. Northern Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command, said the drill certified that the team was operational, capable of rapidly deploying and providing drone detection and defeat capabilities.

Settlers launch major West Bank arson attack; IDF, police arrest four suspects

Dozens of Israeli settlers launched a large-scale arson attack on Palestinians in the West Bank on Tuesday, targeting factories and farmland between the major cities of Nablus and Tulkarem.

According to the military, soldiers detained several Israeli settlers who participated in the attack after troops were called to the scene. The suspects were then transferred to the Israel Police, which announced that it had taken four Israeli citizens into custody for questioning.

After the arrests, the IDF said that its troops were attacked by a group of settlers in a nearby industrial zone where suspects had fled to, and that a military vehicle was vandalized.

 

The arrests marked a rare instance of law enforcement acting against settler violence in the West Bank, which has been occurring on a near-daily basis in recent months with almost complete impunity.

During the attack, settlers set fire to a factory building in an industrial zone and several surrounding agricultural lands near the villages of Bayt Lid and Dayr Sharaf, according to Palestinian media reports.

Footage posted to social media showed several large trucks engulfed in flames, as well as significant damage to a number of nearby buildings.

 

According to the Palestinian Wafa news agency, dozens of Israeli settlers took part in the attack, with footage showing a large number of masked individuals watching from a distance as smoke expanded across the impacted West Bank hilltops.

As a group of local Bedouins gathered in the area, Wafa added, settlers then began throwing rocks at them, injuring several.

The agency reported that at least two people suffered head wounds during the attack, and were later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

 

According to Wafa, a group of IDF soldiers then arrived at the scene and blocked Palestinians from trying to put out the fires.

Asked for comment, the military said it dispatched troops to Bayt Lid and Dayr Sharaf following reports of dozens of masked Israelis attacking Palestinians in the villages and setting fire to property.

Troops then detained several suspects, the IDF added.

 

According to the military, four Palestinians were injured in the attack, and damage was caused to property.

“Security forces worked to disperse the [suspects] using riot dispersal means, and detained and arrested several Israeli civilians,” the IDF said, adding that the suspects were handed over to the police.

The IDF said that a short while later, dozens of Israelis gathered at the nearby Baron Industrial Zone, where many of the masked Israeli assailants had fled to.

 

After arriving, the troops were then attacked by the settlers gathered there, the military said, adding that an IDF vehicle was vandalized.

The army said that it “strongly condemns all forms of violence that divert the attention of commanders and soldiers from their missions of defense and counterterrorism.”

The Israel Police later said that four Israeli suspects had been taken in for questioning. The investigation into the settler attack is being led by the police’s West Bank district, alongside the Shin Bet security agency, police added.

 

Since the beginning of October, the West Bank has seen a sharp increase in settler attacks, coinciding with the annual olive harvest. In that time, settlers, and sometimes soldiers, have carried out near-daily violence against olive pickers, who sometimes include volunteers from Israel and abroad, Jewish and otherwise.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said Friday that it recorded 264 settler attacks that caused casualties, property damage, or both during October.

The attacks come amid soaring levels of settler violence since the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023, which sparked the war in Gaza.

US To Submit UN Resolution: IDF Gaza Withdrawal Only After Demilitarization And Security

In a further sign of US intent to supervise the international body which is set to enter Gaza and implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement, the US has submitted a draft resolution on Gaza’s future at the UN Security Council, according to a Yisrael Hayom report.

The current draft significantly dilutes the resolution’s previous text. The draft will be open for comments for 24 hours. The Americans aim to bring the resolution to a vote this coming Friday, or by next Monday at the latest.

 

In recent days, the US has introduced several changes to the draft based on feedback from the parties. Some changes benefit Israel, more strongly anchoring the commitment to disarm Hamas and demilitarize Gaza.

Others, however, do not align with Israel’s interests. One of the most problematic changes is the removal of the sanction for removing international aid organizations that cooperate with terror, such as UNRWA.

The original text of the resolution explicitly stated that “any organization found to have engaged in the misuse of such aid shall be deemed ineligible to provide ongoing or future assistance.”

 

These words are missing from the new draft. In their place, it merely states the need “to ensure that such aid is used solely for peaceful purposes and is not diverted to armed groups.”

Critically, the sanction of suspending an organization whose employees were found aiding terror, as happened with UNRWA, has been eliminated.

 

On a more positive note, the revised text indicates that the IDF’s withdrawal will be conditioned on full demilitarization and coordination with the US and Arab states.

Per the new draft, the IDF’s phased withdrawal from the Gaza Strip will only happen after agreed-upon standards for demilitarization and security are met.

The text states the IDF will withdraw “in accordance with benchmarks and timetables to be determined jointly with the security forces, the guarantor states, and the United States,” and that a limited Israeli security presence will remain to ensure terror does not return.

 

A new clause in the resolution mandates the international transition body (BoP) to submit a written report every six months to the Security Council detailing the progress of implementing Gaza’s demilitarization on the ground.

This step is intended to enhance transparency and oversight of the mechanism’s work. Notably, a similar mechanism was supposed to operate for years in southern Lebanon through UNIFIL, but failed to do its job.

 

Clause 7 of the draft resolution’s new text includes direct coordination between the IDF, the International Stabilization Force (ISF), Arab states, and the US.

It stresses the international force’s responsibility to prevent the restoration of terror infrastructure and ensure the Strip is demilitarized.

China flies world’s first ship-launched stealth drone with 690 mph top speed

China’s air force on Tuesday released a commemorative microfilm that, for the first time in official footage, showed a stealth drone flying in formation with a J-20 stealth fighter and a J-16D electronic warfare aircraft, a display Beijing’s military commentators said demonstrates growing manned-unmanned teaming capabilities.

The short film, titled “Far-Reaching Dreams,” was posted to mark the 76th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force and traces developments in Chinese aviation through the eyes of an ordinary family, state broadcaster China Central Television said.

In scenes highlighted by state media, a GJ-11 stealth attack drone, shown departing its hangar and joining a J-20 and a J-16D in flight, appeared to act as an autonomous partner to the crewed aircraft.

 

GJ-11 ‘Sharp Sword’ drone

State outlets identified the drone in the footage as “Xuanlong” and the J-20 by its nickname, “Weilong.”

CCTV described the sequence as the first public display of the PLA Air Force’s manned-unmanned teaming and stated that the imagery likely originated from training exercises.

 

Chinese military commentators hailed the pairing as a logical match for modern strike operations, where electronic warfare, stealth, and unmanned systems combine to suppress and penetrate enemy air defenses.

“J-16D can conduct jamming and paralyze hostile radar systems, while the J-20 and GJ-11, taking advantage of their stealth capabilities, can break through the hostile defense line and destroy key targets,” Song Zhongping, a military affairs expert quoted by the Global Times, said Tuesday.

“The GJ-11 could act as an extension of the manned aircraft, going deeper into high-risk zones.”

 

Wang Ya’nan, editor of Aerospace Knowledge magazine, told the Global Times the GJ-11 might fly ahead of manned aircraft to perform armed reconnaissance or operate as a “wingman” to protect crewed jets.

Both commentators suggested the footage reflected a certain maturity in China’s efforts to link drones, fighters, and support aircraft into coordinated packages.

The GJ-11, widely known as the “Sharp Sword” in Western reporting, first attracted attention after it appeared in the 2019 National Day parade.

 

Chinese and international media accounts describe the flying-wing drone as approximately 10 meters (33 feet) long with a wingspan of nearly 14 meters (46 feet), an internal weapons bay, and designs intended to reduce its radar signature.

The platform has been displayed with visible folding hinges, a feature analysts say would ease storage aboard ships.

 

Fifth-generation fighters

State reports and foreign coverage have also described a naval variant of the GJ-11, and the drone was included in Beijing’s September parade alongside carrier-capable systems.

The South China Morning Post has reported operational ranges of more than 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) in some configurations, but Chinese authorities have not published formal specifications.

Analysts say the combination of the GJ-11, J-20, and J-16D would enable China to apply layered effects in contested airspace, including electronic warfare and suppression of enemy air defenses from the J-16D, stealthy penetration by the J-20, and expendable or high-endurance strike and surveillance capabilities by unmanned aircraft.

 

“Manned-unmanned teaming is a priority for major air forces,” said Ian Easton, a Beijing-based analyst not connected to the PLA.

“What matters is not just hardware but command and control, secure data links, and doctrine. Footage is a signal of progress, but it does not prove operational readiness.”

Western observers often view Chinese displays through a dual lens of capability and messaging.

 

Footage released by state media serves public relations and deterrence aims even as it may reflect genuine technological advances.

The PLA has been investing heavily in autonomous systems, electronic warfare, and stealth platforms as part of broader efforts to modernize its air and naval forces.

 

The microfilm’s release comes amid wider Chinese moves to integrate drones into operations ranging from surveillance to strike roles, and to develop carrier-borne and ship-launched unmanned platforms.

Beijing’s state media framed Tuesday’s release as a celebration of national progress; outside analysts said it was also a clear demonstration of the direction of China’s aviation development, more integrated, more autonomous, and increasingly focused on manned-unmanned teaming in high-end operations.

US infrastructure security agency issues drone detection guidance

The United States Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has published new guidance for critical infrastructure on selecting and using uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) detection technology.

CISA underlines the importance of establishing detection technology capability requirements by first understanding the threats posed by uncrewed aerial systems and creating a risk assessment.

 

A further section provides guidance on determining site-appropriate detection technology based on the capabilities and considerations of UAS detection sensors.

This section provides general, nontechnical considerations designed to help prepare organisations for conversations with vendors rather than listing or recommending specific solutions on the market. It also covers the need to consider potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

 

CISA recommends integrating detection technology into existing security plans to support a layered approach to protecting against UAS threats.

“Establishing clear UAS detection requirements allows for a tailored approach that meets the specific needs of each facility,” the guidance notes.

“Carefully evaluating and selecting the most appropriate detection systems can help ensure comprehensive coverage and effective response capabilities.

Once selected, integrating UAS detection technologies into existing security frameworks can support a defence-in-depth approach against UAS threats.”

 

Additional advice in the guidance document includes identifying planned and known UAS operations to help deconflict unknown or suspicious UAS activity, integrating UAS detection technology with existing surveillance and access control systems, and consulting with legal counsel to establish appropriate procedures.

Mayor calls for Black Liberators to be commemorated at Margraten

The governor of Limburg, Emile Roemer, has joined calls for a permanent memorial to be established at the US cemetery in Margraten to black US soldiers who took part in the liberation of the Netherlands.

Alain Krijnen, the mayor of Eijsden-Margraten, wrote to the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) urging them to reinstate two panels commemorating the achievements of black servicemen.

It emerged at the weekend that the panels had been taken out of an exhibition at the cemetery’s visitor centre earlier this year. The ABMC said they had been rotated out of the exhibition and were still in use, but historians said it appeared to have been prompted by Donald Trump’s anti-diversity policies.

Some 8,000 US soldiers are buried at Margraten after being killed while fighting in the Netherlands or the neighbouring regions during the Second World War. They include 172 African-American servicemen.

The Heritage Foundation, a right-wing think tank, contacted the ABMC in March challenging its supposed failure to comply with Trump’s orders to cancel diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) programmes across the US government. Scientists have long looked to the skies for signs of alien life, imagining flying saucers or flashing lights. But a new theory suggests that alien probes could already be here, hiding in plain sight.

Professor Alex Ellery of Carleton University believes that self-replicating extraterrestrial probes may have reached our solar system, but instead of looking like spacecraft, they could be disguised as ordinary rocks from asteroids, lunar debris, or comets, reported Newsweek.

 

Ellery explained that these probes could be hiding under the surface of the moon, essentially "hibernating." They might occasionally surface to watch Earth and its evolving life.

As life on Earth becomes more complex, the probes observation periods may become more frequent. He also noted that humans evolved rapidly as tool-using beings over the last two million years.

 

Ellery said that instead of searching for radio or other artificial signals in space, we should focus on our immediate surroundings.

He recommended searching for traces of technological activity on the Moon and other nearby celestial bodies, such as unusual isotope ratios or magnetic deviations.

According to him, the solar system is vast and largely unknown, and potential alien probes could be hiding in the Moon's craters or in the asteroid belt and Kuiper Belt.

 

Ellery described the Moon as the most suitable place to search because aluminium, a highly useful material, is readily available there, and the Moon's low gravity makes construction easier than on asteroids.

He also stated in a preprint paper that it is crucial to know what and where to search, especially as space exploration is becoming increasingly commercial.

 

Ellery suggested that building a nuclear reactor on the Moon could yield chemical signatures that could be explored in the future.

Furthermore, self-replicating probes could leave artifacts buried with asteroidal resources, which could only be discovered when human technology is sufficiently advanced.

 

He considered it not surprising that no one had found evidence of alien probes yet, as the solar system is vast and probes can be very small. He stated that human efforts could be helpful in searching for technological clues, such as the exploration and utilization of lunar and asteroid resources.

He compared this to the discovery of the Chicxulub crater, which was identified decades before its true significance was understood. According to him, careful study of the Moon and asteroids could reveal hidden alien activity.

‘Clinton Corruption Files’: Bondi, Patel unleash new evidence about former first family foundation

 

Officials say evidence sent to Congress raises fresh concerns that government officials kept evidence from prosecutors.

 

Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have produced to Congress a new cache of documents showing how Bill and Hillary Clinton's foundation collected donations from foreign and domestic interests seeking influence – raising fresh concerns that such evidence was kept from federal prosecutors who tried to investigate pay-to-play allegations against the former first family a decade ago.

 

Officials told Just the News that the documents were transmitted to the Senate Judiciary Committee in recent days and detail numerous instances of foreigners and even a U.S. defense contractor seeking to curry favor with the Clintons through donations to their family charity, including when Hillary Clinton served as secretary of State. Bill Clinton was a U.S. president from 1993 to 2001.

 

The officials said some of the evidence was flagged by whistleblowers who claimed such evidence was kept from a corruption investigation that was being conducted in 2015 by the Little Rock, Ark., U.S. attorney’s office before it was shut down by the Obama administration's Justice Department.

 

The documents will make clear that there was an effort “to obstruct legitimate inquiries into the Foundation by blocking real investigation by line-level FBI agents and DOJ field prosecutors and keeping them from following the money,” said one official directly familiar with the documents.

 

Officials said they have been gathering the evidence for weeks and have dubbed the documents the "Clinton corruption files."

 

Bondi and Patel hope to make the documents public by as soon as the end of this week once they work through some issues protecting whistleblower identities, officials said.

 

Officials said they also expect new evidence to be released this week in the Arctic Frost investigation conducted by Jack Smith, including new contacts between the special prosecutor who pursued Donald Trump and top officials like former FBI Director Christopher Wray and new details on how that probe sought to pierce the privacy of members of Congress by gathering their phone records.

 

Just the News reported earlier this year that the FBI had three separate investigations into possible pay-to-play allegations against the Clinton foundation, but all were closed after Obama Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates ordered agents to “shut it down“

 

Officials said the new documents will detail how lower-level FBI agents and prosecutors kept information from reaching decision makers in the various probes of the Clinton Foundation.

School of Social Work lecturer Jessica Adams said a student submitted the complaint to the office of U.S. Senator Jim Banks over a graphic she used in her class. Adams said Banks’ office then contacted her dean.

A lecturer in the Indiana University School of Social Work has been removed from teaching one of her classes — “Diversity, Human Rights, and Social Justice” — while the university investigates a complaint by a student against material she presented.

 

Jessica Adams joined the school as a lecturer last year. She spoke at a press conference with campus activist groups Friday against what she sees as an unfair process and accusation.

 

“I as an instructor should have the ability to bring those ideas into my class,” Adams said.

 

She said a student submitted the complaint to the office of U.S. Senator Jim Banks over a graphic she used in her class. Adams said Banks’ office then contacted her dean.

 

IU spokesperson Mark Bode said the university does not comment on personnel matters.

 

The material in question was the “pyramid of white supremacy” developed by the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence in Boulder, Colo. It lists forms of overt and covert white supremacy, from not challenging racist jokes at the bottom of the pyramid to lynching at the top. The phrase “Make America Great Again” is included as “covert white supremacy.”

 

The 2024 law Senate Enrolled Act 202 allows students to report faculty who they think fail to teach diverse viewpoints. Adams said the pyramid is a learning tool directly pertinent to her class.

 

“The importance of power and the dynamics of domination and subordination in multiple manifestations of oppression, particularly among historically oppressed groups, will be explored,” the course description reads.

 

The complaint was submitted to IU, which started an investigation. Adams was removed from teaching her class, which is atypical for intellectual diversity reviews. She continues to teach her other courses.

 

Diversity, Human Rights, and Social Justice is still being taught by guest lecturers.

 

One of Adams’s master’s students, Chelsea Adye Villatoro, said School of Social Work administrators visited the class but did little to resolve her frustration.

 

“I feel as if I've paid for a course without a formal instructor, trapped by the financial and academic costs of withdrawing,” she said.

 

Adams and her students said they haven’t been given a clear timeline on when the investigation will be resolved. A violation of SEA 202 can result in termination or demotion. She said this is just her first complaint.

A left-leaning senator has drawn a conclusion from the shutdown, which is certain to infuriate many progressives —standing up to President Donald Trump doesn't work.

 

In an interview on Morning Joe Monday, Sen. Angus King (I-ME) — who caucuses with the Democrats — explained his vote to help end the government shutdown.

 

“Why did you decide to vote with Republicans to open the government?” Scarborough said.

 

“Well, Joe, you have to go back to what the strategy was at the beginning of the shutdown,” King said. “There were two goals, both of which I support. One was standing up to Donald Trump. The other was getting some resolution on the ACA premium tax credit issue. The problem was, the shutdown wasn’t accomplishing either goal. And there was practically, well, it was zero likelihood that it was going to. KEK== so true ”

 

King went on to arguethat a shut-down government only made the executive branch stronger.

 

“In terms of standing up to Donald Trump, the shutdown actually gave him more power,” King said. “Exhibit A being what he’s done with SNAP and SNAP benefits across the country. Oh, by the way, Joe, you’re gonna love this: Guess who’s getting paid during the shutdown? Not the park rangers or air traffic controllers. The ICE agents. Under special law, under that big awful bill that they passed last summer, the ICE agents are being paid. Nobody else is.

 

“So standing up to Donald Trump didn’t work. It actually gave him more power.”

 

Scarborough pressed King on whether last week’s election results in several states — in which Democrats won several key victories by bigger-than-expected margins — should have an impact on the Democrats’ strategy in the shutdown talks.

 

“But even Donald Trump admitted that the government shutdown is what caused Democrats to win the election in historic fashion last week,” Scarborough said.

 

“At some point, there’s diminishing returns,” King said. “And as I say, the strategy was ‘let’s bring the Republicans to the table.’ It didn’t happen. It wasn’t going to happen. And in the meantime, if this was just a dispute between politicians in the Senate and whether we had to hang around for the weekend, that would be one thing. But Joe, there is tremendous collateral damage from this. Forty-two million Americans’ SNAP benefits are at risk, and are being lost. People aren’t being paid for the work that they’re doing. I don’t want to land at an airport in the United States with a sleepy air traffic controller because they’re working double shifts. … if the strategy isn’t working, you change tactics. And particularly, you change tactics if your own troops are at risk, and that’s really what’s happening here. There was collateral damage to the American people at the same time the goal wasn’t being achieved.”

Starmer CUTS Intelligence Sharing with Trump

 

The UK has stopped sharing some intelligence with the US on suspected drug trafficking boats in the Caribbean amid concerns over America’s lethal strikes against the vessels.

 

Downing Street did not deny reporting by CNN that the UK is withholding intelligence to its ally to avoid being complicit in US military strikes it believes may breach international law.

 

Britain has long assisted the US in identifying vessels suspected of smuggling narcotics based on intelligence gathered in its overseas territories in the region.

 

That information helped the US Coast Guard locate the ships, seize the drugs and detain their crews, CNN cited sources as saying.

 

But since the Trump administration began carrying out strikes on alleged drug trafficking boats in early September, UK officials have become concerned their intelligence may be used to acquire targets for the attacks they believe may be illegal.

 

The death toll from the US attacks in the Pacific and the Caribbean Sea has climbed to more than 70.

 

The intelligence-sharing pause started more than a month ago, CNN reported, quoting sources as saying Britain shares UN’s human rights chief Volker Turk’s assessment that the strikes amount to extrajudicial killing.

 

The reports could provide an awkward backdrop for a meeting between Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and her US counterpart Marco Rubio expected on Wednesday at the G7 foreign ministerial summit in Canada.

 

Asked about the pause in intelligence sharing, a No 10 spokesman did not deny the move.

 

“We don’t comment on security or intelligence matters,” the official said in response to repeated questions.

 

“The US is our closest partner on defence, security and intelligence, but in line with a long-standing principle, I’m just not going to comment on intelligence matters.”

 

He added that “decisions on this are a matter for the US” and that “issues around whether or not anything is against international law is a matter for a competent international court, not for governments to determine”.
