Israel will keep its troops in occupied areas of Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria indefinitely, Defense Minister Israel Katz has said, describing the policy as necessary for “defending the borders.”

 

Speaking on Wednesday at a memorial ceremony for soldiers killed in the 2006 Lebanon War, Katz said there would be no Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed.

 

“Our policy for defending the borders of the State of Israel … is clear,” Katz said, as quoted by the Jerusalem Post. “The IDF will not withdraw and will remain in the security zones in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza for an unlimited period of time.”

 

Katz also renewed an earlier warning to Iran, saying it would be struck with “full force” if it retaliated over Israel’s military campaign in Lebanon. The warning echoed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent pledge that Israel’s pursuit of “total victory” over Iran and its allied groups “never ends.”

 

Tehran has made an end to Israeli military operations in Lebanon one of its key conditions in the ongoing peace talks with the US.

 

Katz’s remarks came days after the Lebanese government signed a US-backed framework agreement with Israel aimed at ending months of fighting along the border. Hezbollah rejected the deal, arguing it would give West Jerusalem a free hand to operate inside Lebanon, while the agreement also sparked mass protests in Beirut.

 

Israel expanded its offensive in Lebanon in early March after Hezbollah fired rockets at the Jewish state during the US-Israeli war with Iran. Israeli strikes have since killed nearly 4,300 people and displaced around one million, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry and the UN.

 

In recent months, the IDF has pushed deeper into southern Lebanon, establishing what Israeli officials describe as a security buffer zone. According to media reports, by June Israeli forces controlled roughly 2,000 square kilometers of Lebanese territory – nearly one-fifth of the country.

Vance Warns 'US Has Options' As Iran Rejects Direct Doha Talks - Trump Insists Diplomacy Is 'Very Good'

 

Update(1315): The American side is keeping up the illusion of progress on Iran talks, even as Tehran has once again on Wednesday confirmed no direct meeting has taken in place in Doha - nor are there plans for direct dialogue, its deputy FM has said. President Trump has simultaneously hailed "very good" talks on Iran in Doha - apparently just referencing envoys Witkoff and Kushner merely dialoguing with third country intermediaries.

 

On the same day, Vice President JD Vance played a little 'bad cop' - warning that if Iran fails to acquiesce and destabilizes the region that the US could respond, escalating in several ways. "If Iran attempts to rebuild its nuclear program, threaten its neighbors and support terrorism, President Trump has options to deal with it," Vance said, without specifying further. Earlier the WSJ stated that Trump had been briefed on several military options - including 'all-out war'; however, the US president is said to want to give diplomacy more time.

 

Vance additionally stated that the US "dropped bombs on Iran because it fired on ships, and we used leverage to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz" - and suggested this could be done again. He also mentioned that current indirect Doha talks are "to discuss the details and flow of maritime traffic." According to more:

 

Addressing troops at a naval air base in Virginia, US Vice President JD Vance says Iran’s nuclear program has been set back decades thanks to American military strikes against it.

 

“If you look at what our own intelligence says about their nuclear program, they are further away from developing a nuclear bomb than they have ever been since basically the last 20 or 30 years,” Vance says, stopping short of US President Donald Trump’s claim that Iran’s nuclear program has been “totally obliterated.”

 

“What the president asks you to accomplish is to destroy the defense industrial base of that country, so that if they ever decided to rebuild their military, or if they ever decided to rebuild that nuclear program, they would be harmless to do it. You did that exactly as well,” Vance tells the US troops.

 

Iran has meanwhile consistently denied that it is pursuing nuclear weapons, but very likely many IRGC hardliners are calling for just that.

The U.S. Department of Defense maintains an expanded list of “Chinese Military Companies” operating in the United States. One such company was Trina Solar listed on the Shanghai stock exchange with its headquarters in China. US Air Force Major Arrested for Illegally Protesting on Capitol Steps While Calling for Trump’s Impeachment in Uniform – Rep. Al Green Applauds Illegal Demonstration

An active-duty Air Force officer was arrested on the steps of the US Capitol on Wednesday while protesting Trump and calling for his impeachment in uniform.

Jason Watson, a US Air Force Major who attended the US Air Force Academy, participated in a press conference sponsored by far-left lunatic Rep. Al Green (D-TX), where he called for his boss, the commander in chief, to be removed and convicted.

According to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Watson could face court-martial proceedings for contempt toward officials stemming from his participation in the event and his calls for Trump’s impeachment.

UCMJ Article 88 states, “Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

He started his speech at the press conference with the oath of office before tearing into the President, describing the American people as “the greatest threat to our Democratic Republic,” arguing that “We have all played a part, myself included, in getting ourselves into this mess.”

Watson continued, “For the past 18 months, we the people have allowed the highest levels of the executive branch of the federal government to violate our Constitution and their oath to it with impunity,” while accusing Trump of “innumerable” impeachable offenses.

He went on to spew left-wing talking points about military operations against Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran, cuts to USAID, immigration enforcement, federal law enforcement’s efforts to subdue violent rioters, lawsuits against media companies and universities, tariffs, and even the UFC fight on the White House lawn.

After each example, Watson stated, “For this, the President and Vice President must be impeached, convicted, and removed.”

Video circulating on social media shows Watson later standing on the Capitol steps in uniform while holding a sign that reads, “Impeach, Convict, Remove,” before Capitol police arrested him for illegally standing on the steps. Supporters could be heard booing the police and chanting, “Who do you protect? Who do you serve?” as well as screaming profanities.

In February, the U.S. Treasury dropped the nuclear option on a Swiss bank you've never heard of.

 

MBaer Merchant Bank. Single office in Zürich. $717 million in assets. Founded in 2018. And from day one, it was laundering money for Russia, Iran, and Venezuela simultaneously. Three adversary regimes. One small Swiss bank. One door into the U.S. dollar system.

 

Treasury Secretary Bessent said it himself: "MBaer has funneled over a hundred million dollars through the U.S. financial system on behalf of illicit actors tied to Iran and Russia. Banks should be on notice that the U.S. Treasury will aggressively protect the integrity of the U.S. financial system using the full force of our authorities."

 

FinCEN used Section 311 of the Patriot Act the most severe measure available. It severs a foreign bank from the entire U.S. financial system. No correspondent accounts. No dollar transactions. No access. You're cut off from the world's reserve currency. For a bank, that's a death sentence.

 

Switzerland's own regulator, FINMA, moved within days. Pulled MBaer's banking license. Ordered liquidation. Found that 80 percent of the bank's clients were high-risk and 98 percent of incoming assets came from high-risk sources. The bank appealed. Then FinCEN published the rule. MBaer withdrew its appeal. The bank is being liquidated.

 

From Section 311 action to bank death in weeks.

Now here's why this matters beyond one small bank in Zürich.

 

Senator Chuck Grassley has an active investigation into UBS the largest bank in Switzerland. UBS absorbed Credit Suisse, which had over 890 accounts linked to Nazi-era clients. A forensic auditor named Neil Barofsky is conducting an independent investigation. The Senate has identified 23,000 pages of documents being withheld. Grassley's investigation deadline is July 31. Twenty-nine days from now.

 

Treasury just demonstrated in public, on the record, with Bessent's name on the press release that it will use Section 311 to kill a Swiss bank. It will coordinate with FINMA. It will sever the bank from the dollar. And the bank will cease to exist.

 

MBaer had $717 million.

UBS has $1.7 trillion.

 

MBaer is the warning shot. It's Treasury telling every Swiss bank in the system: we have the tool, we've shown we'll use it, and the next deadline is July 31.

 

Cooperate or become the next MBaer. The only difference is the number of zeros.

Prostitution rings are providing young boys to male customers in Washington and are reportedly selling information about their clients' sexual preferences to foreign intelligence services, a private investigator testified yesterday.

The investigator, Dale Smith, who works for the New York State Senate's Select Committee on Crime, said he had learned that British, Israeli and Soviet agents had bought information from several call services in Washington.

Mr. Smith appeared before the committee at the opening in New York City of a two-day hearing on prostitution among young males and on pornography.

Mr. Smith said that an accountant for five call services had told him about the sale of information to foreign agents. He refused to elaborate on the allegations when questioned by reporters, but the committee counsel, Jeremiah McKenna, said that the information concerned government officials. They're making more money selling information than on the prostitution itself, Mr. McKenna said. Allegations of homosexual sex and drug use on Capitol Hill among Congressmen, pages and other employees have circulated in Washington recently.

Mr. Smith also said that call service operations in Washington have some connection with organized crime in New York. He described how male prostitutes between the ages of 13 and 16 were shuttled between the cities, and were paid from $50 to $250, with younger boys commanding the most.

Earlier, a Washington detective testified that she had uncovered a six-city prostitution network that used 12-year-old boys and allowed customers to pay for sex with credit cards.

The cities involved are Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans, New York, Washington and Houston, said the detective, Anne Fisher of the Washington Metropolitan Police.

If you want to understand what's actually happening with the Vatican's money, don't listen to the mission statements. Lay the dates down and read them in order. The sequence tells the story the press releases won't.

 

1942 Pius XII creates the IOR, the "Vatican Bank." No shareholders, no owners, minimal outside oversight. A financial institution inside a sovereign state that answers to no other state.

 

1982 Banco Ambrosiano collapses under $1.3 billion in debt, much of it tied to shell companies linked to the IOR. Its chairman, Roberto Calvi, is found hanging under a London bridge. Ruled suicide, later reclassified as murder. This is the backdrop. Remember it.

 

2010 Italian prosecutors freeze €23 million moving out of an IOR account. Weeks later, Benedict XVI stands up a financial-intelligence watchdog. The pattern begins: pressure from outside, reform from inside.

 

2013–2014 Francis arrives. Roughly five thousand suspicious accounts closed. First annual report in the bank's history published. An APSA accountant arrested over a scheme to move €20 million in cash across the Swiss border. The books get opened because they were forced open.

 

2024 Moneyval, the European AML evaluator, finally describes the Vatican as having a functioning anti-money-laundering system while pointedly noting it needs to prove itself with actual convictions. Suspicious-activity reports drop by a third. Progress that took forty years and two papacies.

 

2025 Leo XIV issues a decree letting the Church route money through non-Vatican banks abroad when it's "more efficient," loosening the IOR's monopoly and quietly shifting the Vatican's centers of financial power.

 

February 2026 The IOR launches its own ethical stock indices, partnering with an outside ratings firm to gain credibility in international markets.

 

Now read it as one line instead of six headlines.

Every reform arrived after a scandal broke, not before. Nobody woke up and chose transparency. Each opening was a response to external pressure prosecutors, evaluators, frozen accounts. The institution moved exactly as far as it was made to move, and not an inch further. That's what a timeline exposes that a mission statement hides: not what they say they value, but what they did, and when, and what forced it.

 

Any single one of these events can be explained away. The sequence can't. Forty years of "we're cleaning it up" that only ever advances under duress is not a story about reform. It's a story about pressure.
