A mysterious vigilante has been termed Mexico's 'Batman' after hunting down alleged motorcycle thieves and duct taping them to street lights.

At least five men in the Mexican state of Jalisco have been tightly bound to lampposts across the last two weeks after being suspected of stealing the vehicles.

I do not have any faith in Congress doing anything other than to continue working for foreign states and foreign bad actors. Congress is captured, and if Anons know it, President Trump surely knows it.

I think that prior to September 1st (the date you mentioned) we'll see the public disclosure of certain things, and the general public will become outraged, worldwide, and then the United States Military will be activated.

Morocco fans overjoyed in cities after beating Oranje; Fireworks thrown at Hague police

Fans of Morocco’s football team took to the streets in many Dutch cities after defeating the Netherlands in a penalty shootout in the World Cup. The atmosphere was largely celebratory, though in some places the gatherings ended quickly after police intervened. In The Hague, riot police began breaking up crowds and making arrests after fireworks were thrown at officers.

The match was held in Mexico, and started at 3 a.m. for football fans in the Netherlands, with many staying up to see Cody Gakpo's goal to put Oranje in front in the second half, followed by Issa Diop's 90th minute strike to send the match into extra time. Morocco took the victory on penalties, sending fans out into the streets in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and around the country.

Supporters honked their horns to celebrate Morocco's win in the Utrecht neighborhoods of Overvecht, Lombok, and Kanaleneiland. Similar sounds were heard from Amsterdam Nieuw-West through Amsterdam-Oost even two hours after the match ended just before 6 a.m.

In The Hague’s Schilderswijk district, hundreds of Morocco supporters gathered on the Vaillantlaan after the match. They set off fireworks, waved Moroccan flags, and drove through the area while honking car horns, according to reporters at the scene. People danced and embraced as they celebrated.

Many supporters watched the match in cafes in Schilderswijk or on outdoor screens, including near the nearby Marktweg. The street is traditionally decorated during Dutch national team tournaments. Celebrations of Morocco’s victories in Schilderswijk have become a recurring tradition. In previous years, they have also led to unrest and confrontations with police.

Police had already maintained a heavy presence in Schilderswijk during the match. Mounted officers patrolled the area. Bicycle officers were stationed at intersections along the Vaillantlaan. Police vans were placed across the neighborhood and riot police units were also on standby near a police station.

The atmosphere shifted around 6:30 a.m. Fireworks, rocks, and at least one football were thrown toward police officers, and riot police moved in shortly afterward. Officers used a water cannon to disperse the crowd on the Vaillantlaan, a main road through the neighborhood. At least one person was arrested.

The bars in Amsterdam's Rembrandtplein, and the square itself, cleared out awfully fast, according to AT5. But in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, hundreds of supporters gathered on and around Plein '40-'45. Fireworks were set off. Cars drove through the area with horns blasting.

Some supporters displayed Moroccan flags from car windows. Many had watched the match on outdoor screens or in nearby cafes. Shortly after 6:00 a.m., smoke bombs were also set off. Around that time, an estimated several hundred people had gathered at an intersection near the square. Police directed traffic through the area as celebrations continued.

In Amersfoort, supporters gathered on the Van Randwijcklaan near the De Stier roundabout, a regular post-match gathering point where disturbances have occurred before. Police closed the roundabout with police vans. Cars drove through the area honking their horns, and fireworks were set off. Officers monitored the situation from a distance.

Bill Pulte, the acting director of national intelligence, has stirred fear by choosing as his chief of staff a GOP election operative who oversaw a poll watching program that included Jack Posobiec and other conservative conspiracy theorists. The staffer, Christina Norton, also appears to have no experience working in the intelligence community.

“It is horrifying,” a former senior U.S. intelligence official told MS NOW Saturday. “Not only does Norton have absolutely no background, experience or expertise in national security or intelligence, but her principal qualifications appear to be loyalty to Pulte and an embrace of absurd election-interference conspiracies.”

Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., who has been a vocal critic of Pulte, also raised concerns about election integrity on Sunday while taking shots at the director of national intelligence and the office itself.

“We should eliminate the DNI, and we should eliminate Pulte from the DNI until that happens,” he said on CNN, adding, “I am concerned that we’re gonna continue to cast doubt on elections in November and erode what has been a 250-year tradition of a peaceful transition of power.”

Pulte’s choice of Norton is also likely to increase concerns among Democrats that President Donald Trump intends to use the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to interfere in the midterm elections. Pulte, a loyalist with no intelligence experience, has used his current position as head of federal mortgage agencies to refer political rivals of the president for federal criminal prosecution.

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., told MS NOW on Sunday that the choice “just confirms” that the “only job qualification is absolute political loyalty and devotion to Donald Trump.” But he expressed faith in the judicial system during an appearance on “The Weekend,” noting that “right now we have federal courts across the land that are rejecting their various attempts to take over the election process. Nine different federal courts have rejected the claim that the president, by executive order, can compel the states in the union to turn over all of their voter lists to Donald Trump and to the White House.”

The New York Times first reported Norton’s appointment.

The former senior intelligence official, who requested anonymity due to concerns of retaliation, told MS NOW the choice also “signals as clearly as could be that Pulte has been put at ODNI to misuse the awesome power of the U.S. intelligence community to interfere in the upcoming midterm elections.”

Norton, reached by MS NOW by telephone, declined to comment and referred questions to an ODNI spokesperson. The spokesperson declined to comment on Norton but defended Pulte’s tenure.

“Acting Director Pulte and his team are focused on carrying out President Trump’s national security priorities while faithfully executing ODNI’s statutory mission,” the spokesperson told MS NOW. “We are leading the Intelligence Community to provide President Trump with elite, apolitical intelligence that keeps America safe.”

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., appearing on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” Sunday, said his objection to Pulte is “that he used personal information to target a political enemy of the president,” a reference to New York Attorney General Letitia James.

“You should not be using the force of government to crash upon somebody just because the person in charge does not like them or finds them inconvenient. The fact that Bill did that is disqualifying for someone to be the director of national intelligence,” Cassidy said.

The Supreme Court is expected to rule Tuesday in Trump v. Barbara, a high-stakes challenge to President Donald Trump's 2025 executive order that seeks to restrict automatic birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment for children of illegal immigrants and temporary visa holders. In the event the court rules against Trump, a number of Congressional Republicans have legislation pending that could practically accomplish what a different ruling would have done.

"American citizenship is a priceless privilege that must be protected, not exploited. We must restore integrity to our immigration system, uphold the rule of law, and protect the value of American citizenship for generations to come," Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, told Just The News.

Several bills, most notably the Birthright Citizenship Act introduced by Babin and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., one day after Trump's inauguration in 2025 (and similar versions in recent Congresses), seek to end or sharply restrict automatic birthright citizenship by amending the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

These measures would reinterpret the 14th Amendment’s “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” clause to grant citizenship at birth only to children with at least one parent who is a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident (LPR) residing in the U.S., or an LPR serving in the military.

Investigative journalist Peter Schweizer detailed this practice extensively in his 2026 book, "The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon," in which he described how China has industrialized the practice on a large scale through an organized industry.

Chinese officials have estimated around 50,000 Chinese nationals per year give birth in the U.S. or territories like Saipan, while some scholars place the figure closer to 100,000 annually, according to Marketplace’s China.

Schweizer reports more than 1,000 birth tourism companies operate in China focused on the U.S., offering concierge packages costing up to $100,000 that include visa guidance, medical arrangements, and sometimes instructions on concealing pregnancies or claiming indigent to reduce hospital bills.

China leads this activity by a wide margin, but Russia has also participated notably, with dedicated firms in South Florida like Miami Mama. South Florida NBC affiliate NBC6 reported that Miami Mama LLC was raided by the FBI in 2017 and has been operating in Miami since 2009. The company offers packages ranging from just under $20,000 to over $53,000 that include all the medicines and procedures that come along with childbirth. NBC also noted that the owner was never convicted of the business's operations.

Independent estimates from the Center for Immigration Studies suggest total U.S. birth tourism births range from about 20,000–36,000 annually in recent years (a small fraction of overall U.S. births), though precise official figures are unavailable because the U.S. does not systematically track parents’ nationalities or travel intent on birth certificates

The CDC has reported roughly 9,600 births to foreign mothers listing addresses outside the U.S. and territories in 2024 as one limited proxy.

Aside from legislation to end birthright citizenship, there are other bills proposed to end the birth tourism industry. These bills would disrupt profit-driven networks arranging travel, housing, medical care and visas for pregnant foreigners seeking U.S. citizenship for their children.

Key bills include Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s Ban Birth Tourism Act (S. 1812, 2025), which amends the INA to deem such visitors inadmissible on B visas, and Sen. John Cornyn’s BACK OFF Act (2026), which imposes criminal penalties on facilitators for fraud and organized schemes while creating a dedicated enforcement task force.

The actual numbers that we would have to pay back if, for any reason, the Supreme Court were to rule against the United States of America on Tariffs, would be many Hundreds of Billions of Dollars, and that doesn’t include the amount of “payback” that Countries and Companies would require for the Investments they are making on building Plants, Factories, and Equipment, for the purpose of being able to avoid the payment of Tariffs. Unusually Smooth Sections of Asteroid Itokawa

Why are parts of this asteroid's surface so smooth? The answer seems likely to do with the dynamics of an asteroid that is a loose pile of rubble rather than a solid rock. The unusual asteroid Itokawa was visited by the Japanese spacecraft Hayabusa in 2005 which imaged and documented its unusual structure and mysterious lack of craters. Analyses of the border regions between smooth and rugged sections indicate that jostling of the asteroid might be creating segregation between large and small rocks near the surface, like the Brazil nut effect. The robotic Hayabusa actually touched down on one of the smooth patches, dubbed the MUSES Sea, and collected soil samples. These samples were returned to Earth and are not only giving clues to the ancient history of this unusual asteroid, but also about the early years of our entire Solar System. Computer simulations show that 500-meter asteroid Itokawa may impact the Earth within the next few million years.

On June 30, 1908, something exploded above a remote stretch of the Tunguska River in Siberia with the force of roughly 10 to 15 megatons of TNT, flattening an estimated 2,000 square kilometers of forest, destroying approximately 80 million trees, and knocking people off their feet more than 60 kilometers away.

No crater was ever found. Whatever it was almost certainly a rocky asteroid or comet fragment; it had disintegrated in the atmosphere before impact. Had it arrived over a populated city, the consequences would have been catastrophic.

Every year on June 30, the world marks International Asteroid Day to ensure that anniversary is not just remembered, but used as a reminder that space rocks of all sizes are real, they are trackable, and the science of defending against them has never been more advanced.

Why This Day Exists and Who Made It Official

In December 2016, the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution A/RES/71/90, officially declaring June 30 International Asteroid Day.

The resolution followed a proposal by the Association of Space Explorers, an organization of astronauts and cosmonauts, which was endorsed by the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, known as COPUOS.

The stated aims of the day are two-fold: to raise public awareness about the risk of asteroid impacts, and to inform the public about what international crisis communication steps would be taken if a genuine near-Earth object threat were ever identified.

The UN's own description of the day makes the intent clear: this is not a day of fear. It is a day of preparation.

What Is a Near-Earth Object and How Many Are There?

Near-Earth Objects, or NEOs, are asteroids and comets whose orbits bring them within approximately 195 million kilometers of the Sun within the orbital neighborhood of Earth.

Of particular concern are those that come within roughly 7.5 million kilometers of Earth's orbit and are larger than 140 meters in diameter.

Objects of that size and at that proximity are classified as potentially hazardous. According to NASA's Center for Near-Earth Object Studies, more than 36,000 near-Earth asteroids have been discovered to date.

The vast majority pose no threat at any foreseeable point. But tracking, characterizing, and monitoring all of them is a continuous scientific effort involving observatories and space agencies worldwide.

The Two Events That Define the Risk: Tunguska and Chelyabinsk

The Tunguska event remains the largest asteroid impact in recorded history. But a second, more recent event underlines why even small objects demand attention.

On February 15, 2013, an asteroid approximately 18 meters across and weighing roughly 11,000 tonnes entered the atmosphere at 18.6 kilometers per second and disintegrated over Chelyabinsk, Russia.

The energy released was approximately 440 kilotons of TNT, making it the most energetic impact event recognized since Tunguska. Around 1,500 people were injured, primarily from shattered glass from the shockwave.

Nobody had detected it coming. That last fact is what drives the urgency behind planetary defense.

Chelyabinsk was small enough that no monitoring system at the time would have flagged it in advance. The gap between what we track and what we miss is the gap that planetary defense science is racing to close.

The Global Early Warning System: IAWN and SMPAG

Following the COPUOS recommendations endorsed in 2013, two international bodies were established in 2014 that now form the backbone of Earth's planetary defense infrastructure.

The International Asteroid Warning Network, known as IAWN, links observatories, research institutions, and space agencies worldwide through defined communication protocols.

If a credible asteroid threat is identified, IAWN is the mechanism through which governments would be notified, consequences analyzed, and response planning coordinated.

The Space Mission Planning Advisory Group, or SMPAG, works alongside it as an inter-space-agency forum whose job is to identify the technologies needed to deflect a threatening asteroid and build international consensus on when and how to use them.

Together, the two bodies represent the closest thing Earth currently has to an early warning and response system for asteroid threats.

We Have Already Moved an Asteroid: The DART Mission

The most important development in planetary defense history took place on September 26, 2022, when NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART spacecraft deliberately crashed into Dimorphos, a 160-meter moonlet orbiting the near-Earth asteroid Didymos.

The impact shortened Dimorphos's orbital period around Didymos by 33 minutes, significantly more than scientists had projected, demonstrating that a kinetic impactor technique could successfully and meaningfully redirect an asteroid.

The mission was, as NASA planetary defense officer Lindley Johnson said at the time, proof that "we are no longer powerless."

ESA's follow-up Hera mission, launched in 2024, is now traveling toward the Didymos system to study the aftermath of the DART impact in detail and build the scientific dataset needed to refine deflection models for future use. Its arrival is expected in late 2026.

More Than a Threat: Asteroids as Time Capsules of the Solar System

Asteroid science is not only about protection. Many asteroids are chemically pristine objects that have not changed significantly since the solar system formed 4.6 billion years ago.

Studying them gives scientists a direct window into the conditions that prevailed when Earth and the other planets were being assembled from dust and rock.

The Japanese Hayabusa2 mission returned samples from the near-Earth asteroid Ryugu in 2020, finding organic molecules and amino acid precursors, deepening understanding of how the building blocks of life may have arrived on early Earth.

NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission returned samples from asteroid Bennu in 2023, the largest such sample ever brought back from space, revealing hydrated silicates and carbon-rich material that scientists are still analyzing.

Each sample is, in effect, a time capsule: material that predates the planets, carrying the chemical history of the solar system's first moments.

The 2029 Moment: Apophis and the Once-in-a-Millennium Flyby

On April 13, 2029, asteroid 99942 Apophis will pass Earth at a distance of approximately 32,000 kilometers closer than the satellites in geostationary orbit that beam television signals and weather data to the planet below. It will not hit Earth.

Scientists are certain of that. But it will be visible to the naked eye across Europe, Africa, and western Asia, watched by billions of people as a moving point of light crossing the night sky, a once-in-a-millennium celestial event.

The UN General Assembly declared 2029 the International Year of Asteroid Awareness and Planetary Defense in 2024 to harness that moment.

Multiple space agencies are preparing missions to fly alongside Apophis during its approach, turning the flyby into one of the most closely observed asteroid events in scientific history.

Where Planetary Defense Stands Today

Catastrophic asteroid impacts are among the rarest events in Earth's geological history. The last mass extinction-level strike is estimated to have occurred 66 million years ago.

But rare is not the same as impossible, and the unique feature of this particular threat is that it is the only natural disaster currently within humanity's technical ability to prevent entirely, provided the detection comes early enough.

"The more we learn about asteroid impacts, the clearer it becomes that the human race has always lived with this risk," the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs has noted. "What is new is our ability to do something about it."

Advances in wide-field telescopes, autonomous sky surveys, space-based infrared detection systems, and international data-sharing networks are steadily narrowing the window of surprise.

International Asteroid Day exists to keep that progress funded, that cooperation active, and that public awareness alive.

On June 30, 2026, 118 years after Tunguska, the mission remains exactly what it was then: watch the sky, understand what is in it, and be ready.

NASA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) launched the SBIC-NASA Initiative on Monday to increase investment in American manufacturers of industrial components and providers of technologies critical to space exploration to support a sustained presence on the Moon and Mars.

Under the Memorandum of Agreement, NASA will identify technology priorities and connect businesses to funding opportunities through the agency’s new NASA Office of Strategic Capital.

The initiative also will be a part of SBA’s Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) Program, which provides leverage that matches private capital raised by investment funds and is designed to enhance fund-level investment returns.

“To achieve President Trump’s National Space Policy, NASA needs a stronger industrial base capable of moving at the speed this new space race demands,” said NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman.

“Through the NASA Office of Strategic Capital, this partnership with the SBA will help small businesses access the capital they need to scale, strengthen critical supply chains, rebuild America’s industrial might, and deliver the outcomes necessary to ensure the United States leads the next era of space exploration.”

By augmenting the investable capital for investment funds licensed by the SBA under this SBIC-NASA Initiative, the new initiative expands access to capital for small businesses within the space industry.

In January 2025, Trump rejected the claimthat nearly all births on U.S soil count for citizenship:

the privilege of United States citizenship does not automatically extend to persons born in the United States: (1) when that person’s mother was unlawfully present in the United States and the father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth, or (2) when that person’s mother’s presence in the United States at the time of said person’s birth was lawful but temporary (such as, but not limited to, visiting the United States under the auspices of the Visa Waiver Program or visiting on a student, work, or tourist visa) and the father was not a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of said person’s birth.

The older practice made sense in the 1800s when the United States was far more isolated by geography from competing foreign nations and cultures. Those barriers have largely been eliminated by aircraft and mass electronic media.

But the continuation of the loose policy has been used by many foreigners to grab slices of Americans’ citizenship for their children — and eventually, for themselves via naturalization as parents of a citizen — by entering the country before childbirth, either via temporary work and tourist visas or by illegal entry.

Millions of infants with no parental connection to the United States have gained citizenship via this route, much to the advantage of the Democratic Party, various business interests, as well as foreign governments, such as those of China and India.

LINK, a robotic servicing spacecraft built by American startup Katalyst Space for this mission to extend Swift’s science lifetime, will launch on a Northrop Grumman Pegasus XL rocket.

While there is no livestream available for launch, NASA will continue to provide written updates on the agency’s Swift blog.

After launch

After LINK reaches orbit, the Katalyst team’s first step is to acquire a signal from the spacecraft, confirming its solar panels have deployed and the power systems are working.

Then the spacecraft will go through several weeks of checkouts, a process called commissioning, where controllers on the ground turn on and test various systems to ensure everything is working.

With commissioning complete, the team can then maneuver LINK toward Swift. As it approaches, LINK will collect and send images of Swift to the ground, where teams at Katalyst and NASA will assess the planned grab points.

This rendezvous and capture will be a slow and careful process that could take about a month. Once its robotic arms are attached to Swift, LINK can begin to slowly push Swift upward.

Over the course of a few months, LINK will attempt to return Swift close to its original launch altitude. Then, LINK will detach, leaving Swift in its new orbit.

After boost

After the orbit boost, NASA can restart the observatory’s full system and telescope operations in a process like the one Swift went through after its launch in 2004. It could take a month or more to return to its full science capabilities.

These estimated timeframes may vary. Flexibility is built into the teams’ approach to allow them to pause, assess data, and adjust as needed.
