I feel like this is a moment of truth situation. I've spent the last four years on 8/pol/. I've lost friends, girlfriends, spiritual teachers etc over supporting POTUS and telling the truth, as I saw it, about the degeneracy killing America.

 

I thought Q was a Zionist when he first showed up, and I treated him like he was a threat. But if Q really does represent POTUS then I will trust POTUS and Q. I will try to make peace in my heart with the Jews, BLM, ANTIFA, commies, etc, although God knows they've done nothing to earn it. But I will do it because Q and POTUS asked.

 

If this fails, then I'm going back to 14/88. But for now I will trust that POTUS has a better plan. If you're from 8/pol/ and you can't let go of the rage I understand, and I don't blame you. I'm reminded of "You can't always get what you want….but you get what you need", his campaign song when POTUS does something that makes my skin crawl. (Holocaust memorial) That helps me grin and bear the lesser skin crawlies.

 

That being said, 14/88 has never been more possible than it was today. We have Child tax credit increase, marriage penalty has been removed, economy is on the up and up and it's looking good for the future. A little confused about the DNA ladders as well? They look like the WTC because that is what it looks like when you run them through a gel. Just about 48 hours after the /pol/ rangeban began the Washington Post (Jeff Bezos' news outlet that is sponsored by the CIA to the tune of over half a billion dollars) ran a smear piece on the "lies that thrive on raucous online platforms increasingly shape public understanding of major events" centering around the "danger" of such sites as 4chan and 8chan. It was less than a day, around 15 to 16 hours in fact, from that article going live that the (at this moment ongoing) DDoS of 8chan began. The context of that statement was about baker acted people. Basically, a 48 hour "crazy person alert" where they lock people up in Florida in order to stabilize them. Someone chimed in that the police have to give that person his guns back when they get out of the mental hospital. (5) The Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism found that right-wing extremists were responsible for 150 terrorist acts, attempted acts, and plots and conspiracies that took place in the United States between 1993 and 2017. These attacks resulted in the deaths of 255 people and injured more than 600.

 

(6) According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, in 2015, for the first time in 5 years, the number of hate groups in the United States rose by 14 percent. The increase included a more than twofold rise in the number of Ku Klux Klan chapters. The number of anti-government militias and “patriot” groups also grew by 14 percent in 2015.

 

(7) In November 2017, the Federal Bureau of Investigation released its annual hate crime incident report, which found that in 2016, hate crimes increased by almost 5 percent, including a 19-percent rise in hate crimes against American Muslims. Similarly, the previous year’s report found that in 2015, hate crimes increased by 6 percent. Much of that increase came from a 66-percent rise in attacks on American Muslims. Status update:

The attack is still ongoing. Our team is now manning defensive stations on 24 hour shift to mitigate the attack's effects until it stops. I've seen a lot of DDOS attacks before, but this one was different from the others.

If you are a netsec guy, the attack is essentially a fuzz attempt on our posting systems. Someone is looking for a vulnerability in 8chan. Usually fuzz attempts are slow and come in at a trickle to avoid detection. Today's attack strangely was a fuzz attempt in huge numbers and very rapid almost like a tsunami. I've never heard of a fuzz attack on a public service in such huge numbers. It just means that whoever is attacking is either desperate, or a child who doesn't know better. Children dont usually have access to hundreds of thousands of botnet computers though.

We will continue holding down the fort and maintaining defensive positions to respond to any changes in the attacker's patterns. If the attack manages to take the site down again, please know that we have a team of about half a dozen people working tirelessly to get everything back online so everybody can continue posting.

President Harry S. Truman ordered US forces into combat in Korea; President Ronald Reagan ordered the use of military force in, among other places, Libya, Grenada and Lebanon; President George H.W. Bush directed an invasion of Panama to topple the government of Manual Noriega; and President Barack Obama used air strikes to support the ouster of Moammar Gadhafi in Libya.

 

SCOTUS is quiet on this debate. Scholars reason that the President does not need Congress's specific approval before using force in (1) self-defense; (2) non-combat roles; or (3) situations in which Congress has provided more general advance authorization, such as in support of UN-authorized operations.

 

Today, the 3 Amigos (Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.)), introduced a joint resolution to revoke AUMF.

Doesn't make sense. What good would the data collected be if the site is offline. Potentially successful hits could be lost because site can't respond.
