I should worry about spelling, but honestly there are certain venues the content is more important than a fat-finger here or there. W/ autocorrect for spelling and most people on mobile devices or touchscreens.. a misspelled word is more unique these days. I turn all the spell checks off because of that reason, I don't want to loose language skills to AI.

are you meaning with some type of liquid gasket or just do away with them? The gaskets seal the "tube" from filter to engine. Anything you do, taking that "stuff" off will allow leaks (would screw up computer w/ ratios of air, air temp, and fuel and all. It will actually throw an intake leak code for your computer. That said you could have something machined with tolerances that would allow for you to do that..

 

If something was built or designed a certain way with enough money it can be changed to something else. To simply eliminate something like a gasket though.. I wouldn't. Even taking out the screen on the MAF will throw things off.

NEVER leave out gaskets. Usually you will have a plate and gaskets (old style) gasket/plate/gasket in between pan and case. Now they sell them all bonded so you just add it and forget it. Old style, get plate wet w/ trans fluid and stick gaskets to them.. bam.. you just did your own "bonding" and you won't be fighting lining up 40 bolts, 2 gaskets (2x holes) and plate that goes in between them, lining up cover/pan w/ case.
