SPERRY: ‘Whistleblower’ Eric Ciaramella Was Overheard in 2017 Discussing With Ally Sean Misko How to Remove President Trump From Office

Shortly after Donald Trump was sworn into office in early 2017, Eric Ciaramella, the CIA plant-turned-whistleblower who prompted the impeachment of Trump, was overheard in the White House discussing with a fellow staffer how to remove the newly-elected president from office, according to investigative reporter Paul Sperry.

Sources told Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations that the staffer with whom Eric Ciaramella was discussing Trump’s removal with was Sean Misko.

Both were Obama holdovers from NatSec and both hatched a plot to “take out” President Trump.

According to Sperry, “their efforts were part of a larger pattern of coordination to build a case for impeachment, involving Democratic leaders as well as anti-Trump figures both inside and outside of government.”

Barely two weeks after Donald Trump took office, Eric Ciaramella – the CIA analyst whose name was recently linked in a tweet by the president and mentioned by lawmakers as the anonymous “whistleblower” who touched off Trump’s impeachment – was overheard in the White House discussing with another staffer how to remove the newly elected president from office, according to former colleagues.

Sources told RealClearInvestigations the staffer with whom Ciaramella was speaking was Sean Misko.

“Just days after he was sworn in they were already talking about trying to get rid of him,” said a White House colleague who overheard their conversation.

“They weren’t just bent on subverting his agenda,” the former official added. “They were plotting to actually have him removed from office.”

Two former co-workers said they overheard Ciaramella and Misko, close friends and Democrats held over from the Obama administration, discussing how to “take out,” or remove, the new president from office within days of Trump’s inauguration. These co-workers said the president’s controversial Ukraine phone call in July 2019 provided the pretext they and their Democratic allies had been looking for.

“They didn’t like his policies,” another former White House official said. “They had a political vendetta against him from Day One.”

Sean Misko is now one of Adam Schiff’s top aides.

Recall, Adam Schiff hired Sean Misko (pictured below) just one day after Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Eric Ciaramella filed a whistleblower complaint against President Trump in August over his call to Zelensky alleging Trump threatened to withhold military aid from Ukraine unless they agreed to investigate the Biden crime family.

Mr. Ciaramella, however, ran to a Schiff’s staffer, who we now know to be Sean Misko, before he filled out the whistleblower complaint, a violation of House rules.

Lebanon's New Hezbollah-Backed Government Meets After 3-Month Vacuum Amid Crisis

After in October Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri resigned amid worsening violence and protests related to the nation's banking crisis, but remained in a caretaker capacity, Lebanon announced Tuesday the formation of a new government, which met for the first time Wednesday. The crisis-hit country has been three months without a government.

President Michel Aoun said it's vital the new government led by caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab wins back international confidence at a moment Lebanon is on the verge of deft default and currency devaluation. The new leaders will attempt to instill enough faith to unlock crucial external funding, conditioned on badly needed reforms which have thus far remained elusive.

Your mission is delicate," Aoun told the cabinet in a statement. "It is necessary to work to tackle the economic situation, restore the confidence of the international community in Lebanese institutions and reassure the Lebanese about their future," Aoun said.

Henderson’s analysis of the events, in particular the “chlorine cylinder dropped by Syrian air-force helicopters” narrative was inexplicably suppressed by the OPCW and omitted from the final report which fraudulently maintained the “likely” verdict that chlorine had been used.

Henderson’s report had supported the conclusion that there had been no chemical attack. A number of other OPCW colleagues have also come forward with similar claims that their expert opinions were censored by the OPCW who appear to have been tasked with retrospectively justifying the US allied criminal aggression against Syria. A bombing campaign that resulted in the destruction of a laboratory complex and cancer research center, located in Barzeh on the outskirts of Damascus.

It is worth noting that had this been a “chemical weapons” factory as claimed by Western intelligence, the potential for civilian deaths would have been horrific in the event of “chemicals” being released into the atmosphere close to Damascus residents.

Angola's dos Santos named suspect over alleged fraud, selling Eurobic stake

Angola’s billionaire former first daughter, Isabel dos Santos, has decided to sell her stake in Portuguese bank Eurobic, the small lender said on Wednesday. It made the announcement soon after Portuguese news agency Lusa reported that Angolan prosecutors had named dos Santos as a formal suspect over alleged mismanagement and misappropriation of funds while she was chairwoman of state oil firm Sonangol.

Lusa quoted Angola’s attorney general, Helder Pitta Gros, as telling a news conference in the Angolan capital Luanda that dos Santos had not directly shown any interest in collaborating with Angolan authorities.

Dos Santos, who was chairwoman of Sonangol from June 2016 to November 2017 and amassed her fortune during her father Jose Eduardo dos Santos’ decades-long presidency, could not immediately be reached for comment but has denied wrongdoing.

Isabel dos Santos is Eurobic’s main shareholder but the bank said she had decided to withdraw from the bank’s shareholding structure and sell her stake.

Continuing his Davos media blitz, President Trump sat down for a lengthy, wide-ranging interview with CNBC host Joe Kernen where he discussed the impeachment hoax, his underappreciated economic successes, the successes and failures of Tesla and Boeing, and the American effort to suppress the spread of the mysterious new Chinese coronavirus.

Cleveland, OH — Imagine for a moment that your young daughter is waiting for the bus at the same bus stop she waits at every day and a cop pulls up. The children may feel one of two things, either curiosity or — if they have had negative experiences with police before — fear. However, for one little girl, the feeling turned to sheer terror when the cop attempted to kidnap her and then opted to relieve himself, all over her—while filming the entire thing.

Officer Solomon Nhiwatiwa, 34, was this officer and on Tuesday, he was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in jail for this horrifyingly disgusting behavior. In August, Nhiwatiwa was charged with attempted kidnapping, pandering obscenity, disseminating material harmful to juveniles, assault, endangering children, child enticement, interfering with custody and public indecency.

“He will be held accountable,” Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said at the time. “It’s my office’s mission to ensure he never wears the badge of a police officer again.”

Thankfully O’Malley followed through with his words.

In December, Nhiwatiwa pleaded guilty to attempted kidnapping, pandering obscenity, endangering children and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. And now, he’s going to jail for it.

“I would like to apologize to the victim,” Nhiwatiwa said after hearing his sentence handed down from Common Pleas Court Judge Wanda C. Jones. He then stood silent for several moments before Jones asked if he had anything else to say. “I take responsibility for what I did,” he said, then sat down.

Cleveland.com reported that Jones said that she was not convinced that Nhiwatiwa was truly sorry for his conduct. She said the physical and mental abuse he inflicted on the girl and his position as a police officer, which required him to protect the community from the very types of attacks he carried out, required consecutive sentences.

UK’s House of Lords passes Withdrawal Agreement to allow Brexit by end of January

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Brexit bill has cleared its final parliamentary hurdle after Britain’s upper house of parliament passed the legislation on Wednesday.

The move comes some three and a half years after the referendum in which a narrow majority voted for the UK to leave the EU, having joined in 1973. The referendum sparked a tumultuous period in British politics including the resignations of two Tory prime ministers and two general elections.

Earlier on Wednesday, the House of Commons overturned changes made to the legislation by the House of Lords which would have included protections for child refugees following Britain’s exit from the EU. The House of Lords later passed the legislation without pushing the proposed changes.

The bill now just needs Royal assent from the British monarch before passing into law.

The UK has been granted a number of extensions to the initial Brexit deadline of March 29, 2019 by EU chiefs after a series of failures by both Johnson and his predecessor Theresa May to pass the negotiated agreement through parliament. Withdrawal agreement legislation was finally passed by the House of Commons following the Conservative Party's election success in December in which the Tories secured parliamentary majority.

JAPAN—The first thing that went through Alison Avenell's head when she heard Yoshihiro Sato had died was that it might be a trick. Sato's fraud was one of the biggest in scientific history. The impact of his fabricated reports—many of them on how to reduce the risk of bone fractures—rippled far and wide. Meta-analyses that included his trials came to the wrong conclusion; professional societies based medical guidelines on his papers. To follow up on studies they did not know were faked, researchers carried out new trials that enrolled thousands of real patients. Exposing Sato's lies and correcting the literature had been a bruising struggle for Avenell and her colleagues.

Yet they could not understand why Sato faked so many studies, or how he got away with it for so long. They puzzled over the role of his co-authors, some of whom had their names on dozens of his papers. ("Do we honestly believe they knew nothing at all about what was going on?" Avenell asked.) An Arkansas judge ordered Hunter Biden to appear in court on Jan. 29 to show why he “should not be held in contempt” for failing to produce information about his finances.

Hunter Biden’s “conduct is willful and contemptuous,” said an attorney for the mother of his child, Lunden Roberts.

A DNA test confirmed in November 2019 that Hunter Biden is the biological father of Roberts’s child. She’s suing Hunter Biden in Arkansas for child support.

An Arkansas judge ordered Hunter Biden on Monday to appear before a court Jan. 29 to explain why he shouldn’t be held in contempt for his failure to produce information about his finances in relation to a heated child support dispute.

Independence County Circuit Court Judge Holly Meyer ordered Hunter Biden to appear in court on Jan. 29, to “show cause, if any exists, as to why he should not be held in contempt for any of the alleged violations of this Court’s orders.”

The order came the same day an attorney for the mother of Hunter Biden’s child, Lunden Roberts, accused Hunter Biden of failing to abide by a court-mandated deadline to disclose a deluge of information, including a list of all companies he owns or controls, his sources of income and employers for the past five years, unredacted copies of his tax returns, copies of deeds to properties he owns and more.

Hunter Biden has even refused to provide the address in which he resides and his telephone number, Roberts’s attorney Clinton Lancaster said in his filing Monday.

Impeachment, Democrats, and those 90,000 documents

For weeks, Democrats have been demanding to see new witnesses and documents for the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump. Mostly they have emphasized witnesses. But on Tuesday, the first full day of the trial, the Democratic House managers seemed to turn up the call for documents, claiming that President Bill Clinton provided tens of thousands of pages of documents for his impeachment trial in 1999. "In the Clinton case, the president provided all of the documents – more than 90,000 pages of them – before the trial took place," the managers said in a statement released Tuesday morning. "[Majority Leader Mitch] McConnell's resolution rejects that basic necessity.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi backed up the managers. "For the Clinton trial, witnesses were deposed and the president provided more than 90,000 documents," she said Tuesday. "All of the documents in the Clinton trial were turned over prior to the trial," said lead impeachment manager Rep. Adam Schiff when arguments before the Senate began. "All 90,000 pages of them, so they could be used in the House's case." So a question: Where did the figure of 90,000 pages, or documents, come from? Did Bill Clinton helpfully cooperate with the House Republicans who were trying to remove him from office 20 years ago?

It turns out Schiff, Pelosi, and their colleagues were not telling the whole story. They got the 90,000 figure, apparently, from Clinton's rebuttal to the Starr report, the report independent counsel Kenneth Starr turned over to Congress on September 9, 1998, after seven months of investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair. In that rebuttal, given to Congress on September 11, Clinton's lawyers wrote: "During the past four and a half years, the President has…produced more than 90,000 pages of documents and other items" to investigators. But not to Congress. The Clinton situation was entirely different from the one Schiff and his fellow Democrats face today. Starr was an independent counsel, with full law enforcement powers, and his office issued many grand jury subpoenas, pushing Clinton, who often resisted fiercely, to turn over the 90,000 documents over the course of four and a half years, covering the Whitewater, Travelgate, Filegate, and Lewinsky probes. "If memory serves me correctly, I don't think he voluntarily gave us anything," said Sol Weisenberg, a former Starr prosecutor, in a conversation Tuesday.

With Trump, the House has been involved in a different process. Speaker Nancy Pelosi chose not to seek the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the Trump-Ukraine matter. (The old independent counsel law under which Starr was appointed expired years ago; a Trump-Ukraine special counsel investigation might have operated along the lines of the Mueller Trump-Russia investigation.) Instead, House Democrats conducted a hurried investigation that did not involve a grand jury or engage in the type of fighting for documents that Starr did. The House did issue a subpoena for documents, directed at White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, on October 4, 2019. The subpoena seemed almost certain to stir conflict, calling "for documents and communications that are highly delicate and would typically be subject in almost any White House to claims of executive privilege," according to the New York Times. The White House declined to provide the documents, arguing that the House impeachment process did not formally exist because the House had not at that point taken a formal vote beginning the process.

And when the White House did not turn over documents, the House did…nothing. "Did the House take any steps to remedy that?" asked Trump lawyer Patrick Philbin on the Senate floor Tuesday. "Did they try to dispute that? Did they go to court? Did they try to resolve that problem? No. Because as we know, all they wanted to do was issue a subpoena and move on."

Now, Democrats say they really, really want documents. After all, they claim, Bill Clinton turned over those 90,000 documents for his impeachment trial. How could Donald Trump do less? It sounds persuasive – until one finds out what really happened way back in 1998.

U.S. drinking water widely contaminated with 'forever chemicals

The contamination of U.S. drinking water with man-made “forever chemicals” is far worse than previously estimated with some of the highest levels found in Miami, Philadelphia and New Orleans, said a report on Wednesday by an environmental watchdog group.

The chemicals, resistant to breaking down in the environment, are known as perfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS. Some have been linked to cancers, liver damage, low birth weight and other health problems.

The findings here by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) show the group's previous estimate in 2018, based on unpublished U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) data, that 110 million Americans may be contaminated with PFAS, could be far too low.

“It’s nearly impossible to avoid contaminated drinking water from these chemicals,” said David Andrews, a senior scientist at EWG and co-author of the report.

The chemicals were used in products like Teflon and Scotchguard and in firefighting foam. Some are used in a variety of other products and industrial processes, and their replacements also pose risks.
