So I was watching Q's posts from january 2018 to see if the stuff he was talking about is on the news now, 2 years later. It turns out last week Glenn Greenwald was charged in Brazil for cybercrimes. Snowden is absolutely furious about it, he has even pinned specific tweet of this matter. So who is Glenn Greenwald? RIO DE JANEIRO — Federal prosecutors in Brazil on Tuesday charged the American journalist Glenn Greenwald with cybercrimes for his role in bringing to light cellphone messages that have embarrassed prosecutors and tarnished the image of an anticorruption task force.

 

In a criminal complaint made public on Tuesday, prosecutors in the capital, Brasília, accused Mr. Greenwald of being part of a “criminal organization” that hacked into the cellphones of several prosecutors and other public officials last year.

 

The news organization Mr. Greenwald co-founded, The Intercept Brasil, published articles last year based on the leaked cellphone messages that raised questions about the integrity and the motives of key members of Brazil’s justice system.

 

The articles cast doubt on the impartiality of a former judge, Sérgio Moro, and of some of the prosecutors who worked on a corruption investigation that landed several powerful political and business figures in prison.

 

The charges against Mr. Greenwald raise concerns among journalists and advocates for a free press because journalists often rely on confidential or leaked information, sometimes obtained by whistle-blowers or hackers.

 

Mr. Greenwald has been part of a team that won some of the most important prizes in journalism — the George Polk Award and the Pulitzer Prize for public service — for reporting on documents that described government surveillance. The documents were passed on to him by Edward J. Snowden, a former contractor with the National Security Agency of the United States who later faced espionage charges in connection with the leak.

 

In a 95-page criminal complaint, prosecutors say that The Intercept Brasil, the news organization Mr. Greenwald co-founded, did more than merely receive the hacked messages and oversee the publication of newsworthy information.

 

Citing intercepted messages between Mr. Greenwald and the hackers, prosecutors say the journalist played a “clear role in facilitating the commission of a crime.”

 

For instance, prosecutors contend that Mr. Greenwald encouraged the hackers to delete archives that had already been shared with The Intercept Brasil, in order to cover their tracks.

 

Prosecutors also say that Mr. Greenwald was communicating with the hackers while they were actively monitoring private chats on Telegram, a messaging app. The complaint charged six other individuals, including four who were detained last year in connection with the cellphone hacking.

 

Mr. Greenwald first became widely known for his role in the release of classified national security documents leaked by the former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden in 2013. He co-founded The Intercept Brasil in 2016.

 

The charges came as a “huge surprise,” Mr. Greenwald said in an interview on Tuesday, because the Federal Police issued a report in December that cleared him of having engaged in criminal conduct related to the phone hacks.

 

Mr. Greenwald said he had been methodical in his dealings with the source who gave him the leaked chats, mindful of the lessons he had learned in the Snowden case.

One method involved distribution agreements that ensured generic companies could not buy samples of Daraprim that would be needed for testing required for regulatory approval from the Food and Drug Administration. Another tactic involved what were called “data blocking” agreements that prevented several distributors from selling Daraprim sales data to third-party data companies. Generic companies rely on this data to assess whether a given development project is worth pursuing. With these agreements, Shkreli and Vyera sought to keep potential generic competitors from accurately assessing the market. As a result, consumers and other Daraprim purchasers would likely have saved tens of millions of dollars by buying generic versions of the medicine, according to the lawsuit. Meanwhile, there is no generic version available today.

 

“Daraprim is a lifesaving drug for vulnerable patients,” said Gail Levine, deputy director of the Bureau of Competition at the FTC, in a statement. “Vyera kept the price of Daraprim astronomically high by illegally boxing out the competition.” The commission voted 5-to-0 in favor of filing the lawsuit. “Martin Shkreli and Vyera not only enriched themselves by despicably jacking up the price of this life-saving medication by 4,000% in a single day, but held this critical drug hostage from patients and competitors as they illegally sought to maintain their monopoly,” said New York Attorney General Letitia James in a statement. “We filed this lawsuit to stop Vyera’s egregious conduct, make the company pay for its illegal scheming, and block Martin Shkreli from ever working in the pharmaceutical industry again. We won’t allow ‘Pharma Bros’ to manipulate the market and line their pockets at the expense of vulnerable patients and the health care system.”

 

We asked Vyera for comment and will update you accordingly. We will also pass along any reply we receive from attorneys who represent Shkreli. I've been through so much shit in my life, if I wrote a book people would call me a damn liar. The pain I've been through both physical and mentally was more than I imagine a person could take. I looked death in the face multiple times, even survived cancer, it was one hit right after another. The totality of it all finally broke my will, I was tired, tired of fighting it. Amen fren, one of the many lessons I had to learn. I learned that anger for how bad my life was, it was just like a bad of rocks I was carrying around, all I had to do was set it down and leave it behind me.

 

Happiness IS a choice, so is staying in anger. The hard part is learning not to react to the bad stuff, after a while, just like learning to ride a bike it just becomes 2nd nature. You learn to just look right past it, no more being triggered by unimportant stuff, I call it just "filler" in life. It's such a peaceful place once you get there! ;-)

thanks for your prayers. I may not know your names but I've been praying for all of you for a long time. I have about another week to make something happen. If can't maybe i'm supposed to go to the woods or something. I don't have it in me to give up my dog. If I have to move to the woods to keep him I'm going to do it. I can normally move mountains if set my mind to it and would be willing to do anything to avoid this but I live deep in the woods 30 mins from nearest town. Down to my last half tank of gas and last dollar kek. Everything is already in the pawn shop. That gives me about 4 trips back and forth to town where I need to find day labor(slim around here) to get the cash to fill up my tank to allow me to pursue a normal job that has to pay me every two weeks. Two months behind on rent and elec bill just went north of a grand. Going to enjoy seeing God get me out of this one. I'll do my best.

Tossing idea's out there, maybe other anon's have idea's to help get some short term cash, try reaching out to social services, anons, chime in, don't they have emergency funding? Maybe the red cross? How about a preacher? Ask each one of them if they have advice of who might be able to help. God helps in many ways, we also have meet him half way and help yourself too, he will put you where you need to be but you've got to make some moves, they won't just call you.

 

I wouldn't want to give up my dog either, man I understand that! How about finding someone who would care for him until you're back on your feet? Call the SPCA and kennels, explain the situation, they know tons of pet lovers and I'm sure they can put feelers out. That way you're not giving him up, you'll actually be helping him too, I'm sure you could visit him.

 

Bottom line friend, put the pride aside and reach out, there are lots of people who been where you are and will be more than happy to help you they way others helped them, but you have to reach out. Just do it, call it the first step to change your life, don't give up, keep reaching out till you find the help God is sending you, get back in control and make the moves!

He cherry picked witnesses by pre-screening them without the president's attorney being president, leading to accusations of withholding exculpatory evidence. Then further misleading the public, other House members and the Senate with cherry picked testimony.

 

  1. They've repeatedly shown how the House Managers, including Schiff and Nadler, have taken legal positions completely the opposite of what they state now. They twist the law and rules for political purposes instead of following the law and applying rules equally.

 

  1. Biondi's portion got to the heart of the matter on why they engaged in the entire "Get Trump" scheme, starting as far back as the Jan 2016 WH/Ukraine meeting - MOTIVE. The MOTIVE of the Obama Administration was to prevent Trump from becoming POTUS, and to impeach him if he won in 2016. It was entirely a cover-up of the Biden-Ukraine connection, and a cover-up of other real crimes and corruption.

 

The treason case for the DOJ to prosecute everyone involved in the cover-up and later the Get Trump co-conspirators has been laid out for those who are awake.

 

  1. Attorney after attorney has given us the best lesson in the law the public has seen. These sections should be required to be taught in high school along with teaching the US Constitution - no later than 9th grade - so the kids can start understanding the American system of justice, etc.

 

(Actually basic law, including the long term effect of committing crimes, probably should be a required class every year in school grades 5-12. Most parents don't know, and can't teach their kids. Many parents have the wrong ideas.)

 

 

UNFORTUNATELY - large segments of the public knows nothing about the Constitution, the Rules of Criminal and/or Civil Procedure, the Rules of Evidence, etc. Those of us who know a teeny bit about the law, and those who are just plain logical and learn quick, see how important the last two days have been.

 

Many of the callers espouse what they think the law/rules is/are (or should be) and have no idea that their concepts bear no relationship to reality. And this is something I hope the defense can bring out in very simple terms during the wrap up for the short attention span public.

 

I realize that the attorneys are primarily focusing their arguments on the Senate / Jurors.

 

But the public is also a jury and at some point needs simpler connections made.

 

Some of the public isn't making the connection to why Hunter Biden has anything to do with this case against Trump. That's OK. The seed has been planted.

 

Another comment I heard that would be great to hear addressed is that Schiff told the public in advance what the prosecution would say about this or that. Of course this was effective on Schiff's part, because the public doesn't know the law, and he damn well knows the Trump team would argue the law. Schiff flipped it on a dumbed down law-ignorant public to trick them. This needs to be exposed.

 

Does the public grasp the concept of what's good for the goose is good for the gander? Fair minded people do. But over the years, I've found a lot of people don't grasp the concept.

 

Not going to win the hearts and minds of everyone, but for the fence sitters, I hope a short simple explanation will tip them away from the Schiff brainwashing crew.
