“Dark Prince” CIA Middle East Chief Dead on Jet Downed: was Solemaini Killer and Osama Hunter

The news is so big that we have to write it running the risk of denial, even if at the moment it is confirmed by two intelligence sources not better identified. And a little curious riddle in his Wikipedia history…

“Ayatollah Mike” or “Dark Prince” the mysterious and very dangerous Michael D’Andrea, commander of the Central Intelligence Agency of Langley (Virginia) in operations in the Middle East would have been killed in the crash of the US Air Force military plane crashed yesterday in central Afghanistan on which CIA and NSA officers were travelling (National Security Agency).

The death of the crew was reported by the Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujah, who in a statement released a few hours after the accident (and reported by Il Giornale in Italy) described the incident as follows:

«A special American plane was flying for an intelligence mission in the Sadukhil area, Dehk district, Ghazni province. The entire aircraft crew and several senior CIA officers from the United States were killed. The wreckage and bodies of the deceased are still in the area».

The news of the alleged death of D’Andrea has been previously posted by on Veterans Today inside the investigations on the disaster of the Bombardier/Northrop Grumman E-11A. And then on my website Gospa News.

Later, in the last hours, the Iranian website Tasnim relaunched the topic. Then the other Iranian outlet Mizan, the mouthpiece for Tehran’s Judiciary, did, according to the British media Mirror that writes an item about, in which recalled the VT scoop. Lastly, also Jerusalem Post reported the news.

There were conflicting claims over the number of dead and people on board, with the Taliban claiming it recovered six bodies, an Afghan police chief saying four were dead and two were missing, and a US official stating the jet was carrying fewer than five people. The US has not yet commented on reports that Michael D’Andrea was on board the jet and among those killed reports Mirror.

The Department of Justice announced today that the Chair of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department and two Chinese nationals have been charged in connection with aiding the People’s Republic of China.

Dr. Charles Lieber, 60, Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University, was arrested this morning and charged by criminal complaint with one count of making a materially false, fictitious and fraudulent statement. Lieber will appear this afternoon before Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler in federal court in Boston, Massachusetts.

Yanqing Ye, 29, a Chinese national, was charged in an indictment today with one count each of visa fraud, making false statements, acting as an agent of a foreign government and conspiracy. Ye is currently in China.

Zaosong Zheng, 30, a Chinese national, was arrested on Dec. 10, 2019, at Boston’s Logan International Airport and charged by criminal complaint with attempting to smuggle 21 vials of biological research to China. On Jan. 21, 2020, Zheng was indicted on one count of smuggling goods from the United States and one count of making false, fictitious or fraudulent statements. He has been detained since Dec. 30, 2019.

Unbeknownst to Harvard University beginning in 2011, Lieber became a “Strategic Scientist” at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) in China and was a contractual participant in China’s Thousand Talents Plan from in or about 2012 to 2017. China’s Thousand Talents Plan is one of the most prominent Chinese Talent recruit plans that are designed to attract, recruit, and cultivate high-level scientific talent in furtherance of China’s scientific development, economic prosperity and national security. These talent programs seek to lure Chinese overseas talent and foreign experts to bring their knowledge and experience to China and reward individuals for stealing proprietary information. Under the terms of Lieber’s three-year Thousand Talents contract, WUT paid Lieber $50,000 USD per month, living expenses of up to 1,000,000 Chinese Yuan (approximately $158,000 USD at the time) and awarded him more than $1.5 million to establish a research lab at WUT. In return, Lieber was obligated to work for WUT “not less than nine months a year” by “declaring international cooperation projects, cultivating young teachers and Ph.D. students, organizing international conference[s], applying for patents and publishing articles in the name of” WUT.

Will the store closings ever end? According to this PYMNTS report over 1,200 retail store closings have been announced in 2020, and it’s only January.

The new year has not been kind to retail stores around the country, as the trend of accelerating store closings continues, according to a report by Yahoo! Finance.

Macy’s, JCPenney, Papyrus, Express and Pier 1 Imports, among other retailers, have reported 1,218 closings this year already, according to data from global marketing research firm Coresight Research.

Last year, 9,200 stores closed, including locations like Payless ShoeSource, Fred’s, Gymboree and Charlotte Russe. There were also widespread closures by Family Dollar, Forever 21, Charming Charlie, Sears, Kmart, A.C. Moore and GameStop.

This will be the fourth year in a row that retailers will shutter 100 million square feet of space, which equals about 562 Walmart supercenters.

“This year will generally be more of the same,” said Robin Trantham, a consultant for real estate data tracker CoStar. “We expect many companies – and many sizable companies – to announce closures.”

While the beginning of the year normally sees a number of closures after the holiday season, the sheer number and breadth signify a problem that goes deeper than business as usual.

For example, Pier 1 Imports will close almost half of its stores, up to 450 locations. Schurman Retail Group is closing 246 stores, which includes Papyrus and American Greetings. Express, a fashion retailer, will close 91 stores, including 31 by the end of this month and 35 by the end of January next year. Macy’s is closing 29 locations and JCPenney is closing six. Bed Bath & Beyond will shutter 60 stores as well.

Deutsche Bank AG has delayed raises to fixed pay compensation at the German bank by three months until after April 1, citing the need to further improve cost management, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Tuesday.

“After thorough discussions, we on the Management Board have taken the decision that, from 2020, any fixed pay adjustments in connection with the annual review or promotion process will be effective April 1 (not retroactively effective as of January 1),” Christian Sewing, the bank’s chief executive, wrote in the memo.

The memo added that the bank will continue to review fixed pay at regular intervals and make adjustments as necessary. It implied the annual effective date for pay adjustments will be pushed back permanently to April 1.

“As in previous years, variable and fixed pay compensation will be communicated in early March. Additionally, promotions will be brought in line and also become effective April 1 and will also be communicated in early March”, Sewing wrote. The bank has been reeling from a series of scandals and years of losses more than a decade after the onset of the global financial crisis.

It is also in the midst of a major overhaul. After failing to merge with rival Commerzbank last year, it announced plans to close some businesses, revamp its management board, and cut its workforce by 18,000 employees.
