Let me see if I have a few things straight:

The Q drop 748 traffic cam video and the LisaMI6 video cannot be later than January of 2015. This has been established by both including images of TATTERSHALL CASTLE, a former paddle steamer turned pub/restaurant permanently moored just south of the Hungerford Bridge in London. The ship's stack (funnel) paint scheme of blue to red band to white top was changed after the 2015 refit, not to be seen since, as referenced by maritime website. Thus far the images are believed to be at high tide for the Thames, but HISPANIOLA, also permanently moored, is shown riding higher in the water than any other image so far located. This is where the storm flooding of Winter 2013/2014 comes into play. Hurricane Xaver is officially documented as having passed over Britain in December of 2013, basically 4th, 5th, and 6th. More severe storm activity 15 December that lead to the closure of Winter Wonderland (also subject of anon investigation) on 23 December 2013. Posted last bread (#17) was images of flooding on 11 February 2014 near Hampton Court.

Now if I have this right, included as part of this dig are the images of Piccadilly showing an advert for LG-2G phones, ongoing construction, and Winter Wonderland itself that by configuration is pointing to Winter 2013/2014. Then back to Q drop 748 and the traffic cam known to be on the Victoria Embankment where the road parallel to the Embankment (A3211) intersects with Northumberland Avenue (A400) just south of the Hungerford Bridge. Now it appears a constellation is visible beyond Big Ben that may be Orion, Taurus, or Hydra. With the assistance of a visiting Planefag, the visible lights may also be commercial air traffic splitting up for landing among two different airports. Then again, possibly a combination of both stars and aircraft. Fortunately there are anons that are checking on constellations and Winter positions over London (much appreciated because this boatfag watched radars and not stars) to try to narrow down a date for both Q 748 and Lisa MI4. So far February of 2014 is looking good but somehow Winter Wonderland (23 November 2013 to 5 Jan 2014) is clouding the issue, at least for me.

We are looking at a quite small patch of sky quite low to the horizon . I estimate 15° to 25° above the horizon and we are seeking to match the stars with lights detected in a photograph some of which are probably stars, some of which may be planes, and some may be image processing artifacts. Only fairly bright stars are likely to be seen in the sky from central London so I limited the stars shown in Stellarium to around magnitude 5 and thus filtered out fainter stars. The same constellations rise every day at a slightly incrementally later time . We know that the rough time period is November to February 2013/14. Rising directly South (before midnight) at this time of year are the constellations Orion , then Canis Major and then Pyxis. This part of the sky seems to be the best candidate for a match with the trafficam image. However I do not think we can pinpoint a specific date and time from a single image.

I have been testing overlaying the trafficam "stars" over stellarium screenshots of the Pyxis, Canis major and Orion region. Nothing to report so far.

I am not sure about this. There are not a lot of bright stars in that part of the sky. The Stars in Pyxis do not rise very high above the horizon.

The stars in the diagram that you outlined in blue do not seem rise above the horizon at all from Nov to Feb.

Anon, at one time you asked that we make observations and give input. I came across an interesting vid on Ytube of a drive across London at night. Period of interest is 23:00 to 29:00mins when driver turns onto Victoria Embankment and also onto Northumberland.

Hope you find it useful but it’s apparent you may have see every vid there is out there.

My observation of the video. I saw lots of bicyclists on the Embankment riverside path. Also, lorries and motorcycles, including the type of motorcycles that act as messenger or delivery service. My observation is that this video shows normal traffic at an earlier “business hours” time. I can see no lorries or motorcycle delivery vehicles or recreational bicyclists in the London Embankment pics. One could surmise the pics are after such traffic is no longer on the road. The implied idea I guess would be that the location is the starting point or headquarters for that tour bus company. If it is an on-and-off type of tour then it will eventually make its way back to its home stop. We have evidently found a private hire red bus with its home base near the Corinthia that surely must make its way to Piccadilly if it’s doing those other stops. Maybe alternate route. In the CH pic with no pedestrians visible (and from a lower angle), the reflexion of a green traffic light off the passing car in the foreground shows it was taken on a corner of that street that peels off Northumberland. The object you've circled at leftmost edge of frame appears to be a person, black jacket, red cap.

The other red object appears to be resting on a bike – the other night pic shows the docking station quite full there.

Two of the pedestrians you've noted appear to be walking toward the docking station area (prolly to pass it rather than use it), a lady in white jacket, a man in black jacket, red cap, tan trousers.

In daylight pic note the red object at dockign station in approx same position as red object you spotted. Person in red jacket? Only mentioned it coz same color and similar position.

In ROT3, a couple stood with docking station at their side as they faced traffic on Northumberland. In search for continuity across pics, note the couple amidst the group that crossed the junction in ROT1. If this was the same couple in both pics, then, woman was at man's right hand side in both, also. The daylight pic of CH includes a couple walking at the tip of traffic island, moving away from the camera, and the person on right has a white coat on (as in one of the night pics). Another couple stand at the docking station console, woman in white and standing to right of man in dark jacket. Too blurry to ID across pics.

Here ROT3 is cropped to show the one-dimmed headlamped car spotted earlier in bread. And another crop to isolate that car.

Do the London trains stop running after a certain hour. In Paris, they stopped after a certain hour. In that 4K London vid, some people crossing from direction of Charring Cross? Relative to CH pics with people crossing street, then pic with maybe one pedestrian near bike rack, then morning with lots of people again. Interdasting that the traffic seems light on Embankment but so heavy around Trafalgar. Of course, this driver got to the front of the que at the stop light at the junction.

Using the previous timer vid and this vid in combination, and making comparisons with Q's pics, we may be able to tune the macro time frame within the content of this series.

Of note is that the green light allowed just enough time to reach Horse Guard and to meet a stop light on brink of turning green. Note that the oncoming lane advanced earlier - might be due to slow driver or perhaps advanced green for right turns.

This vid may give enuf to deduce that there was about 23 seconds between stop/go at the junction; the other timer vid suggested a 7 second delta for car to travel from Horse Guard to end of the line-up at junction stop light; and suggested a 10 second delta between first LONDON2847 and ROT1.

In ROT1 there are two vehicles already advancing in lane moving away from camera. So these were prolly on the same red light at the junction as seen in this vid.

In this way, might we infer that ROT2 was taken shortly after the right-turning advanced green? To reach the location occupied by these two vehicles in ROT2, as per this vid, would have taken around 7-8 seconds, which is close to the delta it took for "Car A" to reach back of the line-up in middle oncoming lane.

In ROT2, it appears that the oncoming lane at the stop light at Horse Guard is still on red. So the headlamps advancing in the oncoming lanes are from either parked positions or from around the corner at Horse Guard? How many do you count?

Ok, now follow this vid's cam past the TATT and up to the stop light at Horse Guard. By about the 12 second mark the camera has reached the approx position of the back of the line-up in Q's pics. That is around where there is a car with brakes on at the TATT's gangplank area. In ROT2 that is about the position reached by the two vehicles that had entered the lanes in ROT1.

This is to say that Q's pics seem to have captured about 12 of the 23 seconds between greens at junction and at Horse Guard. The oncoming lane at Horse Guard was just about to get green and then advance toward the junction.

This may feel tedious, but the point is to estimate the internal time frame of this series of pics so as to track the vehicles, as per Q's directions, on the street.

Most of the movement in Q's pics occurs in the turning lane at the junction. Compare across the three relevant pics. Count the vehicles in that lined-up in the three lanes or moving into and out of these lanes at the junction.

LONDON2847, 5 in middle lane, 4 in next lane, and 7 in turning lane. And 2 waiting to enter turning lane.

ROT1, 6 in middle lane, 4 in next lane, and 5 in turning lane. Also 2 waiting to enter turning lane.

ROT2, 6 in middle, 4 in next, and 4 in turning lane. And same 2 waiting plus 2 moar behind which do not appear to be entering one of the other lanes. Possibly another parked at the curb with headlamps lit.

Now what seems odd is that the count of vehicles in the turning lane dropped from 7 to 5 and then to 4. Not odd in the sense that this lane appears to be moving from first to last pic. There would be a lag due to merging with traffic that turned onto Northumberland from the other direction. Odd in the sense that the changeover right at the point of merger with Northumberland seems slower than the diminished count in vehicles in the turning lane.

Track the yellow and darker cars at the front of the line-up in the turning lane. And the yellow that is closely behind. Seems like the same three vehicles?

Track the next cars in the line-up in that lane. In LONDON2847, a car squeezes in ahead of the yellow car at the rear of the line-up. That yellow car may have been pre-occupied? Or the squeeze was an aggressive move? Seems to me that this car, or the one ahead of it, moved out of the turning lane before reaching the corner. Sidewalk? Significant gap between the car that was in the rear of the line-up in LONDON 2947 and ROT1 and the cars ahead in ROT2.

Will try to keep up with you on movements. At least one vehicle in the turning lane into Northumberland appears to, well, drop out of the line-up at the Junction. Could not have moved across middle lanes which are occupied tightly. Could not have advanced ahead of the 3 vehicles in turning lane. So speculated this vehicle moved onto sidewalk and around the corner into Northumberland. Of course, if it did move onto sidewalk, it could have advance through the junction northward or even made a U-turn back onto Embankment and headed southward. None nof that is captured in Q's still images. Only speculation based on count of vehicles as per Q's directions.

On 2 FEB 2018, news reports announced results of trial of a car attacker in London from about a year previously. Q direction: Compare against 2.16.18.

I worked roadways when I got out of the Navy. UK is probably the same as US, Movement Of Traffic (MOT) is primary, keep it flowing. The A3211, along the Embankment, would be the "Main Road" and get longer durations of green. Since both Northumberland Avenue (A400) and Horse Guards Avenue terminate at the Embankment, they are considered "side streets" and would get less time with a green light, must always favor the main road. With changes to traffic volumes, the Traffic Engineers would decide how long the green should last for each Phase. Now comes the kicker: Some intersections are run on a time-based only sequence. Other intersections use heavy-guage wire embedded below the road surface as Vehicle Detection that runs to the Load Switches at the bottom of the control cabinet. The "Loops" have current through them but when a vehicle passes over the heavy metal of the engine block (usually) causes a change in the inductance so the load switch sends a signal to the Controller requesting a Green Phase. The signal will then cycle to the preset durations of yellow and red to the other traffic lanes and light the called for phase green for the allotted time. If the traffic patterns changed, the Controller settings were changed so the duration of green after 2015 would be different. Shhh, I was a Certified Traffic Signal Technician and Electrician for a few years, DO NOT tell the USN I'm still trainable (going to learn how to bake)

One of the upgrades since the 2015 changes included detection of pedestrians and cyclists. Have watched vids of traffic after the cycle lanes were completed and the flow is very good for motor vehicles at various times of day. Pedestrian refuge islands and footways also were adapted which may have moar to do with the improvements in flow.
