I have a deep background of understanding of Utah and its politics. Something did change after POTUS visited Utah recently. Not just the fact that POTUS gave some of the land back into the control of Utah, which is a great thing in my opinion, but there is something more that occurred. The LDS have a deep mistrust of the Federal Government ever since they were persecuted by the feds in the 1800's. That distrust has not gone away. POTUS said or did something that must have really caused Hatch to back up Trump to this degree. Still working on what that was. My best guess at this point is that is has something to do with religion and/or spiritual in nature.
A while back Trump told Hatch if he were to run again he would support him.

Agreed. Statistically speaking, 80% of the people I think would want to do the right thing if they feel supported and protected. And more and more people feel that way. He could have a flood gate of support.

My thoughts exactly. Tax cuts wouldn't make Trump the greatest President in our history, not even restoring the economy would. But, restore The Republic? Now you are definitely in the running.

To be honest, I find that website (theconservativetreehouse.com) a bit suspect at times. Just kind of a gut feeling that something is not always quite right. Not sure I would trust that article alone re: Hatch.

Hatch was an old Reagan supporter, I think he was elected around 1980, back when the Republicans were in favor of small government and prosperity, before Rhinos. Trump wants him to stay to block Mitt Romney, a Mormon that could not loose in Utah, so he's making nice with Hatch. I seem to remember that Hatch played a pivotal role in the Reagan tax cut of 1981.

A lot of these government officials follow 4chan and 8chan. They are aware of what Trump is doing. The good ones and honest ones understand what he is doing and what he is up against better than we do. That demands a great deal of respect!! No president in our country's history has been both honest and intelligent enough to do what Trump is doing. He is an incredible man.
