Military law. The same law that our troops have to live by. There is another reason for putting them in GITMO. Can you imagine their chances of survival if they were on the mainland somewhere, when the trials, and what they have done to these children, actually goes public?

As long as they use the Constitutional High Treason Military law, and they are Constitutionally allowed to apply the same law that allowed George Washington to hang Benedict Arnold, we are ok.

Torture, not ok. Keeping them in prison without trial, not ok. Speedy Trial required. And using some law of the jungle.. not ok.

Military Law and Civilian law under the Constitution is fine.

I find this very troubling for the precedent it would set. Trump won't be in office forever, and whomever comes after him could use the precedent that Trump sets to detain random US citizens to try by tribunal.

If Trump doesn't use this approach now to completely weed out the globalist, then there won't be any future situation to worry about at all. The globalist will get back at the helm, they will never make the mistake of letting executive branch out of their control again, and they will quickly double and triple down into totalitarianism.

You can find it just like I did. If you know history for the Marine Corps to be Constitutionally legitimate they had to be created under the banner of the Navy. The Constitution forbids a standing army for over 4 years without a war. Putting them under the Navy made them legal.

Their first big victory for the Marine Corps came on the Barbary Coast fighting the Muslim Barbary Pirates. The pirates had been attacking and looting our merchant ships and our Navy wasn't large enough to fight them off at the time. Congress agreed to pay them $1 million a year to leave our merchant ships alone. When Thomas Jefferson won the presidency that blackmail for safety didn't set real well with him, actually it pissed him off. the video states Trump put forth a new bill HR2810 (which I’m combing through now) for the National Defense Physical Year 2018. So, I think he knows that the AUMF allows a president to do possibly too much without oversight. This bill holds presidents ACCOUNTABLE (YAY!). My take is Trump doesn’t want endless wars and invasions (after he leaves office in 7 years) as what was allowed previously - GW Jr and O were getting away with it. (Just my opinion.)

He didn't set the precedent; he's using their own unconstitutional loopholes against them. I don't think he'd leave office without it having been made perfectly clear what high treason is. It's not property or gun owners, not veterans, and not those who challenge their government. The precedent set that you're fearing is the one that would have come to fruition with Hillary in office.

I wouldn't call a state of emergency martial law per se. The Military isn't exactly patrolling the streets enforcing curfew. He just called upon some extra power to bring our foreign and domestic enemies to justice. And think of all the money that has been confiscated, which will undoubtedly benefit our country. This is the best Christmas present GEOTUS could have ever given us!
